Went to see the senior exhibitions. They were really great. Some of those kids came up with really great and helpful ideas and products that would really help people. I hope some of these actually become real products at some point in the future. I was most impressed with the idea for an app designed specifically to help people with OCD. That needs to become a real working app asap.

It's a great school for students but not for future students. I'm not sure I'll ever go there. I'm not the first to mention this but if accepting new incomers or visitors was an issue why have tours? It's not welcoming. Have a welcoming team for different kinds of people. I didn't see that. I'm disappointed. It's not what I expected. Who in their right mind has the kind of funds and experience? From my young generation it's quite troubling being the fact no one in my generation can have the network of people of the past generations. You don't need to live on a stupid campus to go to the classes or have an expensive scholarship money.

I attended the pre-college program many years ago. The environment is one of a kind and the instructors are as well. I wish I had stayed and finished my degree but I transferred to a different school. My one year there as a freshman was memorable. The pre college program gave me a good idea of what to expect as a full time student. I would suggest anyone that wants to make a career using there gifts/talents to try the school out.

This school is perfect for any artist. Remember they're not teaching how to draw and crap, you are an artist who applies with your portfolio, so if you get in you should already be a pretty well off artist. They gave me so much advice and I now know who I am as an artist. I did drop after the first year, not because it was bad but because of depression/anxiety and college was just no. I would probably wait a year after you graduate high school to rack some bucks and then go. It's great. Damn wish I could've stayed but yeah.

My daughter is a freshman starting this year,2018-2019. The freshman move in and parent /member meetings and picnic was the smoothest operation I have ever seen in my life!!! My daughter is so excited about attending this school!😁 Her mom and I are just excited as she is! We are so glad that we chose MIAD for our daughter to go here. Amazing is all I need to to describe this school. My daughter will succeed and make something of herself at, Milwaukee Institute of ART &Design!!!!Yaaaaay!!!!! Wow!!!!

I'm not a student, but i went to the senior exhibition, which was open to the public (with precautions). Signed up for a slot online and dragged the wee ones to the 3rd ward for for art. Guards at the entrance were nice and helpful. They pointed us downstairs to the galleries. Which were empty: we didn't see anyone else our whole visit. The art was of various media, from painting, costumes, sculpture, videos, comics, and more. Something for everyone. And you can't beat the price. Though you do have to put some money in the meter. Took us about 40 minutes. Definitely a place to visit, with or without kids. Check on their site to see when they have exhibitions and what they are showing.
