The 36 Best Restaurants in Mexico City, From the Splurge-Worthy to Streetside Tamale Stands | Condé Nast Traveler

"Mimbre is a French bistro-style bakery that landed in Mexico City and incorporated local food. It feels like you stumbled into a secret in a long, narrow alley with art on all of the old stone walls. Start with some espresso and a pastry–either a crisp chocolate croissant or the fluffiest concha around—before choosing between Mexican breakfast classics like molletes or American-style sandwiches. In the afternoons, there’s also pizza and artisanal beers. In the vein of classic French bistros the service is a little aloof, but gets the job done, even if at a leisurely pace." - Naomi Tomky, Scarlett Lindeman

It was awesome! Food was delicious and good serving sized. Service was a little slow, but I can't really complain since they were polite and nice. The place is in a patio, so, it is quiet and cozy. It is also pet friendly. Prices are ok according with the size and quality. I definitely recommend it. I would go back as soon as I can.

Fantastic service and excellent food. All that and a beautiful location right in the middle of Colonia San Rafael in an architecture gem. They make their own bread onsite and it is delicious, the four cheese molletes were excellent. The customer service was outstanding, all the staff very attentive and kind. Great place to have breakfast or lunch outdoors, even on a rainy morning!

Had some of the best chilaquiles of my stay— a quiet oasis in a shaded, arched passage in a very nice neighborhood with lovely service that was so welcome after much walking and travel. Patito you made our lunch wonderful! Thank you

The pastries were incredible, the eggs and coffee also excellent, and our server Paty was amazing. The restaurant is in a beautiful alley off of the street so the ambiance is also great.

I am visiting from Texas. This is a beautiful Mexican restaurant with a nice patio area. Patito and the rest of the staff were very friendly.
