What lovely place. The lady (i didn't get her name) was so nice and served me with such professionalism. I love how beautiful it is in there. All the rod iron and stone is gorgeous. It's right on Lake Las Vegas and it's a sight to see. The food is incredible and there's lots to choose from! Highly recommend going if your in this area.

Was 10/10 night! Service was on point & the waiter had great recommendations! From drinks to food we want to come back asap! The live singer added amazing date ambiance

Giuliano is excelente, he made our experience here very enjoyable and gave us great recommendations. We had escargot De Bourgogne as an appetizer. I had the Poulet Marsala and Hubby had Sea Bass w/lobster brandy cream sauce. 😋 The atmosphere is quaint and overlooking Las Vegas Lake. Highly recommended. Definitely will be revisiting.

We found the perfect place to celebrate our 50th anniversary. Our food was incredible and service was delightful. My husband had the pork chop and I ordered the veal picatta. Both meals were exquisitely presented and we savored each bite.

Our place to go for a delicious, pleasant and romantic meal. Excellent service and ambiance. The charcuterie board was interesting, colorful and tasty. Crispy brussel sprouts to die for. French onion soup and tomato bisque, so much flavor. Sit on the patio near the lake makes it perfect.

Mimi & Coco in Lake Las Vegas offers great service and a cozy atmosphere. The standout for me was the tuna salad—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. If you’re looking for a spot with friendly staff and quality food, this place is definitely worth a visit!

Amazing food on the patio overlooking Lake Las Vegas! Had the French onion soup, the Parpadelles á l'Agneau and the Crême Brûlée! Delicious! Staff was Amazing!

The service was excellent, and the restaurant was beautiful—perfect for a romantic dinner or an anniversary celebration! We enjoyed our steaks, but the chicken piccata was a bit too salty. However, they offered to change it or fix it.The tiramisu and crème brûlée were both good, and we also ordered the cheesecake and chocolate temptation. However, I think their desserts could use some improvement. On a positive note, my NY steak and the Ribeye were perfectly cooked and flavorful. Additionally, the wine selection was excellent!

Yelp
This spot was perfect for valentine's day. it offers a warm, inviting ambiance with live music, making it an ideal spot to relax and enjoy great food. Here are some thoughts on the food. Food & Drinks: * House Bread: Perfectly crunchy and shareable with flavorful olive oil. The homemade butter was clumpy and didn't melt well. * Pinot Grigio Villa San Zeno: I loved its balanced flavor (10/10), but Dylan, a red wine enthusiast, wasn't impressed (3/10). It's worth a try if you're open to experimenting with white wine. * Onion Soup: Incredibly flavorful with a perfect onion-to-broth ratio and cheesy bread on top. Served very hot, so be cautious, it did scorch our pallets a bit. * Ribeye with Gorgonzola Poire Sauce: Absolutely delicious. This was on their valentine menu. The medium-rare ribeye melted in my mouth, complemented by flavorful kale and well-paired mashed potatoes. A definite 10/10. * Lamb Chops: Cooked perfectly with a unique glaze, though they occasionally had a subtle fishy taste. The potatoes and veggies were standout sides. 9.3/10 overall. * Chocolate Soufflé: More like a chocolate pudding cake than a molten soufflé and wasn't warm, but the accompanying ice cream was fantastic. * Green Tea: Pleasantly flavorful and a great end to the meal. We enjoyed the ambiance so much that we stayed longer than planned and are already looking forward to our next visit. Mimi & Coco is definitely worth a try!

Yelp
Wandering around trying to find a place to eat, we happened to find this stunning restaurant. It doesn't look like a lot from the street but once you walk in you're transported to another place. The staircase really is a stunning feature in this restaurant, along with the amazing views of the lake. We were greeted with a smile when we walked in. After scanning the menu we decided to start with lobster bisque. It had a good flavor. I didn't care for the crostini in it. I prefer a creamier lobster bisque but I'd still order this again. We got the filet minon with homemade mashed potatoes and asparagus. The steak was cooked perfectly. A nice big filet minon. The asparagus was delicious and cooked perfectly. The mashed potatoes and gravy were phenomenal. Everything tasted great. We also got the truffle fries. They were delicious. Perfect amount of truffle flavor. The service was prompt and kept our water glasses filled. We never had to ask for anything they were always a step ahead of us. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area!

Yelp
We had such an amazing meal at Mimi and coco. The lobster ravioli dish is a MUST. We will be coming back for that dish! Our sever Giuliano was very attentive and took such good care of our party of 7 plus a toddler!

Yelp
Visiting the area from Austin, TX with family from AZ. Went to the Village where this restaurant is located...to walk around Saturday later afternoon which was very nice! Had music towards dusk by the water and other bars. We ate dinner at Mimi & Cocos. Was the best meal I've had in a long time! My husband and I split the Sea Bass with Lobster Ravioli! I wanted to eat it all it was delicious!!! My son had the Lobster tail and Ravioli, another had Spaghetti with Meatballs and then the salad with fresh Tuna was another entree. Service was great, we weren't in a hurry and he let us take our time. It is a beautiful setting overlooking the water and art work, lovely decor with table clothes but not stuffy. A nice bar and seats at an upper level which overlooks the dining area. We loved it! Wish they were near us in Austin area!

Yelp
Came here on a date night with my wife and the food was solid. My wife started with a French onion soup and I had the calamari. Both were delicious. As for the mains, she had the chicken piccata and I had the short rib with fresh fettuccine. They were excellent. Overall, the food was good and the service was perfect. We will come back.

Yelp
Excellent food, excellent service, beautiful lakeside ambiance. This place has a lovely indoor seating area, beautiful enough for date night or an anniversary. Full bar with bar seating, and outdoor seating overlooking the lake. It's a picture perfect place to enjoy lunch or a romantic dinner. My friend and I decided to try this place e for lunch, and we loved it! Lunch menu has about 12 options to choose from, including salads, beef or lobster ravioli, chicken, or pastas. Everything looked amazing, but I chose the lobster ravioli. The sauce was rich, the ravioli had a good amount of lobster meat in each one, and the plate came with two large shrimp. It was perfect. My friend picked the salmon salad. Two perfectly seasoned and cooked salmon slices placed on top of some fresh greens, sliced tomatoes, pickled onions and any dressing you choose. Both dishes were made to perfection, beautiful presentations, and packed with flavor. The ravioli is big enough to share, highly recommended if you like to try several dishes. No matter what you're looking for, this place surely has an Italian dish to meet your needs.

Yelp
Wonderful place to enjoy a glass of wine on the water in the Lake Las Vegas Village. Yummy salads! Ambiance is pleasant and a great place to have a first date~

Yelp
Wonderful service and the food is exquisite! Don't forget to get a bottle of the off menu Sauvignon blanc!

Yelp
Came across this cute restaurant right on the lake on a Sunday for lunch. Btw, Yelp says it's French but it seems more Italian. We ordered the chicken Alfredo fettuccine and the meatball sandwich with fries from their lunch menu. Both were really delicious. Also, their complimentary bread was brought out warm and toasted, yum! The only flaw was that they served the pasta first and by the time we finished, the sandwich was still not out. Then they came by and asked if we got our sandwich, and then apologized and put the order in, and we got it 10 min later. It's fine cuz we weren't in a rush, but I can see how this can be an issue if you were hungry or on a time crunch. The food was good enough that we are willing to come back if we were in the area, and the service was not bad.

Pacita D.

Yelp
Even though it's quite a drive to go to Lake Las Vegas, we decided to go there for lunch. Our first encounter with a waiter didn't go off too well as she tried to direct us to another restaurant. We walked around the lakeside entrance and were warmly greeted and seated by another server. We got lucky and had Augusto who served us in the Wine Room. Because it was lunch time, we all opted for different salads and a calamari appetizer. We also had a glass of white wine and prosecco. The food was tasty, but what made it special was dining in the wine room which must have been the coolest spot especially dring a hot day. The ambiance was terrific --- loved the high ceilings, the Old World decor, the wine room. And most especially the high caliber of Augusto's service who was most attentive and engaging. We may have to come back another time and try their dinner menu. The salads were good enough, but not enough for us to be thrilled.

Heather H.

Yelp
The restaurant was charming! The space was so cool, it was too cold to sit outside. However, I can't wait to come back and sit outside when the weather warms up. The service was perfect, my daughter is in town from college, so they give us time to catch up, but we're attentive! The food was simply delicious. The side of meatballs was generous. My daughter loved her sandwich, and who does not love truffle fries. The fries came out barely warm. But I was so hungry I didn't care and the flavor was good! I'll be back!

Lydia Z.

Yelp
Always great service and tasty food in a beautiful location. My fav item is the penne vodka with salmon. So tasty! Highly recommend.

Melissa B.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant with lakeside view. My boyfriend brought me here for Valentine's Day and the service was stellar! I loved the spaghetti and shrimp dish I ordered, as well as the delicious cab wine. It made us feel like we were far away from Nevada. A must try!

Yelp
My friends and I came here on July 4th for dinner before the fireworks and honestly, if it wasn't for the food and the ambiance, I would've given this place 1 star. I called about a month or two prior to July 4th to make a reservation and I was told that they didn't take reservations that day since it would be busy. We decided to take a chance and show up earlier to see if we can wait for a table. We arrive at 6pm and were asked if we had a reservation to which I said no because I was told they didn't take them for today. There were groups that came in after us and the staff also asked them if they had a reservation and they said yes. When asked about this, the waitress said these people made reservations weeks ago. I told her I called over a month ago and all she said to me was "Oh..I'm sorry". Another waitress said they only take reservations for big groups and yet there were couples that came in for reservations for 2. Very inconsistent and sounds like excuses honestly. Fast forward to our table, we sat outside, the view of the lake was gorgeous. The staff took over 45 minutes to take our order or even bring us water... Had to flag down 3 different people to get any kind of attention to order. Food came, it was delicious. Our waitress never came around to check on us. We had to flag another two people down to get our check that kept telling us the waitress is coming. Got the check from someone else, they immediately ran off, no one came to get payment from us so we had to bring the check inside to the waitress ourselves. Whole dinner took about 1 hour and 45 minutes and with seeing our waitress once the entire time. Needless to say, we won't be coming back. The food was delicious and the view was gorgeous, but not worth the frustration. The staff and service needs lots of improvement. It's 4th of July so I understand it's busy but the resturant needs to better prepare their staff because at this point, the food/view of the lake is the only thing going for them.

Deeleelaa A.

Yelp
When we walked in, it took a few minutes to get acknowledged. Service started off ok and then disseminated over time. Not once did they check on us, instead we had to call them when we needed something. The pasta was dry, the salad hardly had dressing. The water was delicious though, nice and cold and the 1664 draft was refreshing. Being a local and a server myself, I guess I just have higher expectations. We should have just gone to the Mexican restaurant next door. That dining experience last night was amazing and the vibe was lit! Btw, legend has it I'm still waiting for them to bring me the check...

Robbin B.

Yelp
Lunch with a friend on a beautiful sunny day, dining lakeside @ Mimi & Coco's. We ordered a nice bottle of wine, the crispy calamari, Caesar & Salmon salad's. We thoroughly enjoyed our wine, lunch choices and Limoncello for dessert! Nothing better than a great wine list, beautiful weather for outdoor dining paired with good food and excellent service.

Yelp
Thanks to Sidney our server we will be back !! Food was on top of the line!! The ambience was great aswell!! we will definitely be back!!

Yelp
Everything was terrific!! Our server SIDNEY was very nice, friendly and knowledgeable!! The food was one of a kind!! The ambience was wondeful everyone in their own happiness!! Will be back soon, Thank you Sidney for making our dinner very special!!

Diandra R.

Yelp
Fantastic views of the lake. We chose to be seated outside despite the heat and humidity (Vegas summer monsoon szn, hello) and we enjoyed every second of the sunset. Service was great. Food was a 4/5. The seafood risotto was delicious, however, the vegetable pasta fell flat. The crème brûlée came in a larger portion than your average ramekin, which would've been perfect had it been a little less sweet. Overall was a lovely nightcap.

Sarah M.

Yelp
Excellent service. Food exquisite. Beautiful place. Not too busy.. recognized a special occasion ( birthday)

Amy C.

Yelp
My family and I went there on a weekday for a birthday celebration. There're not a lot of customers so we picked to seat near the wine rack indoor. Lighting and vibes were great for couples and family gatherings. Food was delicious and was in great portion. We enjoyed all of our food. I have 5 stars for not only the food but also the service. Our server was nice and attentive. At some point, we felt a bit hot indoor with the spotting lights pointing at us. Our server helped to turn down the heat until we felt comfortable. Would love to go back and seat near the river next time if I visit Vegas again! :)

Roberto B.

Yelp
Great food, great service and great ambiance. Watch the world go by while enjoying dinner by the lake.

Jake J.

Yelp
I was pretty excited to eat here. Solid 4 star setting with 5 star service. The food and wine were lacking. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I would expect the wine at a bistro on the lake to be on point. Had to change to scotch. Food was decent. Had the scallops and the risotto. Nothing to write home about. From the start the service was excellent! Kudos to the staff. Wish the food and wine were better. It would be an awesome place if it was

J P.

Yelp
Brought my friend for her birthday. The place was charming, and we had a beautiful view of the lake. The service was great and the food was awesome. We will be back.

Will H.

Yelp
Food quality is only matched by the service. Beautiful bistro type setting. Private tables, upstairs tables, and Lake front tables outside Ask for Sid.

Angelina M.

Yelp
Italian family here and this place does it right. They have live music, friendly staff, beautiful decor, and their meals are made with love. Every time I go I get the veal milanesa (breaded veal served with lemon and arugula) it is not on the menu but I asked for it once, I explained how to make it and every time I go back they serve it to me now without asking--and every time they serve it they upgrade the presentation! Last time I asked if they could bake it and they did, look at the photo... hopefully they will add it to the menu, it's delicious! My father always says, I wish this place got more attention, it truly is special and I agree

Heather K.

Yelp
Sydney is the main star! He and Juliano are the reason we ate here a 2nd time on our short vacation. The first night was very slow and the attention we received was amazing. Then to have such delicious food was icing on the cake. The second night we came it was packed and they were running around. If you didn't pay attention or understand the hospitality industry one would not know there were only three servers and one bus boy covering the whole restaurant! Again the service was superb and the food was delicious! Highly recommend this gem on Lake Las Vegas!!!!

Juliana G.

Yelp
Absolutely beautiful view. Stopped by for a quick drink and bite to eat with my daughter. Unfortunately, I was NOT impressed by the service provided by our waitress. Attitude was certainly not welcoming. Very short and snippy with small questions asked. Seemed as though she was much more welcoming with other tables aside from ours. My daughter certainly noticed as well. Took us 30-35 minutes just to receive our drinks. And over an hour for child's menu Mac and cheese. Luckily, the other employees were much more kind. But unfortunately, I will not be returning.

Dan M.

Yelp
So was in Lake Las Vegas to finally check it out and do a mini staycation. I had always heard about this man made lake and decided it would be fun to get a feel of Europe in lieu of actually being in Europe . I had booked up at the Westin and decided to check out what was available in town for dinner. This whole area is definitely a bit quieter and has taken a hit from COVID I imagine and so I hope they are able to pick back up now with COVID restrictions slowly winding away. After walking around I saw that this place was bustling and had a great view of the river so asked if a table was available and sure enough it was. This place is definitely great to grab some wine, some food, and have good conversations with groups as you see the water and the scenic building that reminds you of the bridge in Florence. The wait staff here were all very pleasant and you could see that they were moving as fast as they possibly could. The menu is broken down by appetizers, salads/soups, main courses, sides and some desserts in standard fashion. After a quick look decided to go with the crispy calamari appetizer, The French onion soup, and decided to get the vodka farfalle with chicken substitute and the rigatoni bistro. The food came out in good pace which I was impressed with so kudos here. Overall though I will say that the food was unimpressive. There was nothing that tasted bad but it actually seemed to lack a bit of flavor. The most flavorful bites were the bacon pieces within the rigatoni bistro. The Calamari was rubbery and tasted a bit stale. The French Onion soup was not salty but again just seemed to lack flavor. The farfalle was plentiful but there was not "cream" or vodka" taste despite the colors all looking right. The rigatoni was again lackluster for flavor. It is a bit of a shame as I know that all joints are struggling with COVID and I hope this place can re-find some of its brilliance as we open back up. It was unfortunately not a real crowd favorite which is a shame as the restaurant has all the makings and décor of being a great spot to dine in Lake Las Vegas.

Jason S.

Yelp
Mimi's is always the go to when I'm back home and I want some authentic Italian food. If you ever in Nevada and in my town, come through if you want authentic Italian food.

Melanie H.

Yelp
This is a cute little place right next to the lake. The Lobster Ravioli was absolutely amazing! The ravioli were tender and stuffed well, and the sauce was really flavorful. It came with a lobster tail on the side, which was cooked to perfection. I was really impressed with this dish. We tried the escargot appetizer, which wasn't bad, but nothing to write home about. The sauce was a bit watery and lacked the flavor punch you normally get with escargot. To end our meal we ordered the Crème Brûlée (so yummy). The portion size was perfect to share too. The staff was attentive, we never had to try to get anyone's attention. They were right there taking our plates, refilling our drinks, and asking if we needed anything. Great service!

Steff A.

Yelp
Staycation time at Lake Las Vegas and we had brunch and dinner at Mimi & Coco' on a Saturday. Both meals went great...! M&C Ambiance and Service: The main reason why both visits were great was because of our server "Cali". He took care of us for both meals and he was amazing. He had an upbeat, had a positive vibe and was just as energetic at dinner as he was at lunch. The elegant French bistro decor has a nice view of the lake with the huge glass windows and doors. In the evening, there was live music with a gentleman singing and playing away on his keyboard. Good stuff. The kitchen was quick with getting our dishes to the table on both visits. M&C Lunch Special menus Caprese Sandwich: The buffalo mozzarella and sliced tomatoes were generous in portion and fresh in taste. The Peso and arugula brought more flavor. This was my perfect light sandwich lunch before hours of paddle boarding coming up. Chicken Francaise: Generous portions of chicken breast and the linguini pasta with the white wine sauce was tasty Salmon Salad: My friend took down his grilled salmon salad quickly as it was delish. Big portions of fresh salmon adorned his salad. M&C Dinner- We were pretty full from a big lunch so we split the following Charcuterie Board: The long board was covered with cured meats and a rainbow variety of various cheeses to enjoy. We had a great time picking away at this board throughout the night with a bottle of wine. Highly recommended if you enjoy h boards like we do. Dover Sole: This fish filet was an absolute joy. The white wine sauce was such a win and again M&C brings the generous portions and freshness and quality to this dish. We were thoroughly impressed with Mimi' & Coco's from top to bottom. The service was phenomenal and hopefully you get 'Cali' as your server. We will definitely visit again next time we're in the Lake Las Vegas area. Cheers!

Cleo Ann M.

Yelp
Easter lunch here. I had a fish plate and my husband had a chicken plate. We asked for a doggie bag. I ate all my fish other than the skin (it was in the side of the plate) along with and mashed potatoes and Spinach left. I asked the kid to put my mashed potatoes and spinach with my husbands left over chicken. Instead the next day as we got ready to eat the left over, the kid dumped the fish skin over the left overs in the box. The chicken smelled and tasted like fish. We had to dump the left overs. The lunch was $127 with 2 drinks, not cheap to dump some of our leftovers.

Chris B.

Yelp
Delicious Italian food. Not quite sure why they categorize as French. Excellent location and beautiful ambiance. The staff was prompt and courteous.

Tony M.

Yelp
I was just here last Sunday 03/03 with a date. I didn't dine here that day but I have eaten here about 7 Times over the last few years. The food is good and the service is usually pretty good as well. I was sitting with my girlfriend at one of their patio tables (one of the many empty tables) on a Sunday afternoon and we were here for about 7 minutes enjoying our cups of gelato when a short, fat, bald headed man came out looking frustrated and told us to leave if we weren't going to be paying customers. I could see if this was LA, the strip, NYC, or somewhere that was busy and actually had customers eating here. Most of the times I've been here in the afternoons, it's been dead. Nobody was dining in the restraunt either. It usually takes about 10-15 minutes to finish a scoop of gelato and I can see the man's frustration with not having any customers, but we were just about finished with our gelato's anyways. I just feel like he was envious of us and needed to come interrupt us instead of tending to his restraunt duties and minding his own business and work on getting more customers in the time it took for him to tell us off. The gelato place borders this Restraunt so I imagine this man is frustrated quite often and makes a hobby of running future potential customers off instead of trying to upsell the Restraunt or find other ways to gain business. If I hadn't eaten here before, I wouldn't want to come back in the first place, if this is how I'm going to be treated for not making a mess, hurting anyone and just trying to enjoy a nice view for a few minutes.

Gus T.

Yelp
It's good to see the Lake Las Vegas restaurants busy again. Mimi's tends to be a louder place, but it's part of the ambiance. There is live music and the singer was actually pretty good. We ordered Gnochetti Sardi and a simple spaghetti and meatballs. The food and service were both good. I'm not really into Italian food, but I will come back and try the Chicken Parmigiana next time!

Dori W.

Yelp
Lovely place to eat and enjoy the beautiful view and weather. The food was delicious and the service was great.

Kari K.

Yelp
Always a great meal! The location is outstanding in the quality of the service and the food are excellent!

Sun L.

Yelp
Beautiful location for an upscale date. Food and wine pairings with the assistance of Therese will leave coming back again and again. The service was impeccable. You never have to wait before your glass is refilled.

Jeff F.

Yelp
We stayed in an Airbnb in Lake Las Vegas for a week and this restaurant is by far the best. It's a little pricey but we'll worth it for the quality you will get. The waiter was excellent. The food was excellent. I would highly recommend this place if you're in the area.

Jill L.

Yelp
We celebrated my daughter's rehearsal dinner here in October and it was fantastic. We were a party of 26 and were sat in the wine room by all the beautiful wine and wine ambiance. It was lovely. It's a small restaurant but they were so attentive. I especially LOVE the older (sorry) female waitress (she may be more than a waitress because she has a lot of authority and input). She has the coolest dry sense of humor and is super charming. I wish I could remember her name but this was in October. Anyway, the food was DELICIOUS. They have a dedicated group menu but allowed us to make a change to the dessert menu we offered. Here are my favorite things off that menu--all of it. It was a wise decision on my part to choose them for our event. Now, it was very hard to schedule our event with them. After many tries via phone and email, I finally just went in to speak with them in person and also ate lunch there (excellent cappuccino). Setting up the event in person took no time at all. They're such gracious people. Oh! Great cocktail and wine selection. I don't have any good pictures. I just checked and they're all blurry and everyone looks a little too tipsy. We had so much fun! Thank you, Mimi and Cocos!!

Stefany V.

Yelp
Cute spot for lunch while out at Lake Las Vegas! Joined a Meetup group for brunch and kayaking, and this spot was great at handling our large group- sat in their private wine cellar area, divided checks without issues, orders out in a timely manner. Menu has classic French dishes like French onion soup, escargot, croque madame, and quiche, along with apps, salads, sandwiches, and entrees. A friend and I shared the salmon salad, the nicoise salad, and the caprese sandwich- all portions were large, produce was fresh, food was flavorful. I would come back again to try more, like their grilled octopus and mussels. TIP: Dine on the patio if the weather's nice!

Amy M.

Yelp
Came to Mimi & Cocos on a quiet Thursday evening. Sydney our server was spot on and so attentive! Ordered bruschetta, penne bistro and a seafood pasta that was on their specials menu and everything was delicious. They followed up our meal with a delicious limoncello. Yum!! They also had a lovely patio that looked really nice but we opted to sit inside since there wasn't anyone else dining outside. Will definitely be back!

Ruth M.

Yelp
If the price of your daily specials are 3 times more expensive that an average entree, as a server you are morally obliged to mention prices. Now, I know you can make an argument that mentioning prices to guests might be insulting, but that is B. S argument ,because if presented elocuently , it is completely ok. Example: Ladies and Gentlemen Chefs features this evening are 60 and 150$ respectively. And why is gratuity automatically included for 5 people? Just because you saw 5 ladies who seem not to have lots of dining experience , it does not mean you have to be manipulative. Have some integrity for your job because our experience today was unpleasant because of you. This is not matter of money but mater of principles. Overall nice view, servers integrity 0 :) This is not way to do business, word of advise for you and your management.

Michael G.

Yelp
Cozy setting, delicious food, and great views of the lake. Be sure to stop in and check it out!

Susie D.

Yelp
It pains me to leave a one star review for this establishment or any establishment. The experience must be so bad that it inspired me to write a 1 star review just so I can share my experience. My boyfriend and I come to this establishment almost every week since we live in Henderson. We always order a bottle of wine and an appetizer and sit on the patio. Staff is friendly and we just love their beautiful view of Lake Las Vegas on their patio dining. We've never had any major issues except with inconsistent service from time to time but nothing to write a bad review about. They still received our continued support. I planned a birthday lunch there for a friend. I was just there that previous Sunday and the weather has been gorgeous lately. I thought Mimi & Coco would be the perfect spot to celebrate my friend's birthday. What could go wrong? Well, I've had one of the worse service experiences there and it was very unfortunate since I was a huge supporter of this place. We get there and it took awhile to get seated even though we were the only ones waiting. They sat us on the patio as requested but it took some time to even receive any menus. Staff kept looking and passing by our empty table, you would think someone would greet us or set our table. Our server finally greets us but he seemed rush. We order a few apps and I order a glass of wine. He then comes back after taking the order to check my ID. I look very young for being a 36 y/o so I get ID'd often but there is no need for the unnecessary comments and looks that my ID might be fraudulent. Ughh. Anyway, the food was disappointing and way overpriced. Calamari was a very small portion and came out cold for $17. This is the second time on a separate visit, I received the calamari cold. The salmon on my salad was under seasoned. Server never asked if I wanted another glass of wine. My glass just sat there empty and sad. Server only checked on us when food was done. Service seems to be very inconsistent. BUT, what I am about to say is what really inspired me to write this review. The bill came to about $120 something. We paid for the bill with 2 cards to be charged equally. When we received our checks to be signed, we noticed that they included gratuity on the total bill. AN AUTO-GRATUITY FOR A PARTY OF 3!!!! A 3 TOP. I am sorry but I am also in the service industry and that was just very insulting. I've been there many times before and that has never happened. Maybe because we look young, we got stereotyped as cheap tippers but we are very generous and was going to leave more than the desired auto-grat tip he added for SERVICE WE DESERVED THAT WE DIDN'T GET!! :( IThe view may be beautiful but not beautiful anymore when you're left with a salty taste in your mouth.
