Mimi's Ice Cream & Coffee Shoppe

We stopped in for coffee at Mimi’s Ice Cream & Coffee Shoppe and were impressed by the variety of coffee drinks they offer. The coffee was flavorful and really hit the spot. The server was very friendly and made us feel welcome. While we didn’t try the ice cream this time, it looked delicious—definitely something to come back for! Cozy little spot with a lot to offer.

Super clean and super friendly staff :) The waffle cone was fresh and homemade and the blue bell topped it off. As a Texas boy couldn’t have been happier

I'll be honest not a huge fan of ice cream. So I must admit I'm no connoisseur. They served a brand I have heard of before called Blue Bell. They had a decent amount of options and an interesting way of doing coffee ice cream. They were two people working at the time we visited and they did an awesome job. Very personable and pleasant. The prices seemed a little high but again I must remind you that I don't typically go out for ice cream and so I'm probably way behind on what things are actually costing. You should be able to see that for yourself in the pictures. But they had plenty of space for us to have a seat and enjoy talking while we ate our ice cream.

Absolutely, loved this hometown ice cream shop. A short walk from our hotel but in a great location. Was warmly greeted and they have all the flavors and some fun things too. I thought the prices were pretty standard.

I am not really sure what to say here... The folks working were spectacular....Blue Bell Ice Cream though. Good. Available at Walmart and last I checked, Blue Bell was made in Texas. Mimi's website says made local. Google page says Home Made. Maybe something changed, maybe they are just not being honest,,, not sure. Overall a good ice cream, but I was expecting locally made.

It is a great little place with awesome staff, a wonderful selection of ice cream, and good prices. I had the chocolate peanut butter overload in a waffle cone. Delicious! My friends had banana splits, and their eyes were bigger than their stomachs. They had some to take home!

Fun retro ice cream parlor. Mimi's is attached to another restaurant Caney Fork, from what we overheard it was kinda an expansion from the restaurant done by the son to incorporate an ice cream/ cafe to the restaurant. The ice cream is blue bell and very tasty. The prices are less than you would pay at the Gaylord Opry that's across the street and the service is phenomenal. They had a line out the door when we stopped by, but the people behind the counter took their time to make sure that each and everyone was welcomed and got everything they needed. They were never not smiling and welcoming even if they were staring down a bunch of sugar craving monsters who could only be satisfied with some creamy deliciousness. In all seriousness their ice cream was really good and their portion sizes are great. You won't leave feeling like you could have gotten something better from down the road. There are a lot of options for even the pickiest person.

It's a perfectly fine little ice cream shop. The signs say "homemade" but all the labels appear to just be blue bell ice cream. It's still good, just really odd to call stuff you buy "home made". The "family owned" signage also just seems weird. It all just seems very forced. But it's perfectly fine ice cream.

The ice cream was good. But when I go to a business I expect them to at least talk to you. We walked in. We were the only one in the store. The two people didn't say a word. They didn't even smile. I ordered my ice cream and was going to get topping on it but she handed me the ice cream before I could tell her. The ice was good. That's about it

It's good but we went because it's advertised as homemade fresh daily. I know it's not realistic to make large quantities of ice cream daily so don't advertise that. Upon entering, we saw a Blue Bell sign. I gave them the benefit of the doubt - assuming some were Blue Bell, some were their own ice creams. But no. All the tubs clearly read Blue Bell. I love Blue Bell but I could buy a whole tub for what I paid for 1 single dip.

Meh, I wasn't too impressed at the texture or the taste. Definitely only coming back if I have no choice because someone else is paying. I had hopes for this place :( Pictures of the ice creams are deceiving as they are not really that creamy. Some of my ice cream even had frozen parts that were tasteless, just frozen ice. Service can also get an upgrade. No clean tables or wiping down tables after each customers and no help or welcoming vibe, but asking for a 5 star rating for a free scoop? Nah thank you, I don't like to lie. Definitely come and make your own option of this place. This place is pricey for what they offer.

When it's hot, Mimi's is the spot! While dining at Caney Fork River Valley Grille we were approached by the restaurant manager and given two coupons for a free scoop of ice cream here at Mimi's. Mimi's is located immediately next door to Caney's and you can enter the ice cream shoppe from the restaurant. Caney's and Mimi's are same family owned and operated. We were greeted by the friendly staff members and the father and son who owned the restaurant and ice cream shoppe were both present during our visit. The son, Dane, ran the ice cream store as the GM. I chose a scoop of Butter Pecan on Waffle Cone. I can't remember what hubby got as I was too concentrated on my delicious ice cream which was quickly melting. We ate our ice cream outside their patio and it was a hot day in July. My butter pecan was creamy and delicious as all their ice-cream are since they provide locally sourced homemade ice cream from Pied Piper Creamery in Nashville with new flavors each week. The shoppe is just newly opened, maybe just a couple of weeks old when we visited. The inside has a cute and fun 60's style decor... a blast from the past. Very clean and nice, spacious patio! After grabbing a bite to eat at Caney's we finished off our evening at Mimi's with great ice cream! Perfect duo! Review #1870

Enjoyed my double scoop of ice cream - sea salt caramel and coffee. Loved the way the waffle cone was made and folded at the bottom to prevent drips. Thanks for that. Price was reasonable, store was clean, and service fast.

The ice cream was good but the coffee milkshake was so so. It basically takes the flavor of the ice cream you use since they didn't actually have coffee ice cream to make my shake.

Okay ice cream. If you want a regular ol' cream, this is the place to get it!!!!!!!!! Also-they we're unable to provide any nutritional information about the ice cream for my son who is gluten free due to celiac disease.

I've been waiting to come here because I read the reviews. It absolutely did not disappoint! The ice cream texture and flavor was superb and high quality. I highly recommend.

What a delightful ice cream shop! I came in on St Patrick's Day and there was a pretty long line with one worker behind the counter. She kept her cool and was kind and considerate with every customer...major Kudos! With all ice cream varieties (24) it was hard to decide. I love chocolate but the peach and blueberry cream pie called my name! Smooth, creamy, not overly sweet and just the right fruitiness. I plan on coming back before I leave Nashville!

This ice cream joint has a large shared parking lot and is co-located with the Caney Fork River Valley Grille. And it is across from the Gaylord. It is family owned and I love supporting local. This shop has a wide selection of ice cream flavors and toppings. The prices are reasonable and the staff is very friendly. They have a few seats indoors and an outdoor patio. I got one scoop of the lemon ginger custard with graham crackers and whipped cream on top. It was pretty good. One scoop is pretty large and my cup was made with love and care. They also offer cones, shakes and sundaes. This is a great place to satisfy your sweet tooth and I will definitely be back whenever I am in Nashville.

Great place. Delicious Ice Cream AND COFFEE I was here last night and again this morning!!! We have had both ice cream and coffee. Totally recommend this place. Great service. The staff is awesome! Go there and give them your business. You won't be sorry.

To say we were disappointed would be an understatement. The website says they're open until 11pm on Saturday. We walk over from our hotel at 10 only to be told they are closed. The girls inside did not care that people were outside, not just us, but another family as well. All I'm saying is Update the website or stop using Covid as an excuse to close early. Get it together Nashville.

Nice little ice cream and coffee shop across from the Grand Ol Opry. Friendly service and unique flavors. Good texture and reasonably priced in a "tourist trap" area. The oatmeal raisin ice cream was really good. The only thing keeping it from being five stars is the limited number of flavor choices. But what they do have is really really good.

Nice and friendly staff, you can taste the freshness in every bite. You can tell they put a lot of love into making this place, great atmosphere for the kids or just to come chill and grab some ice cream my first time coming but I'll definitely come back next time I'm in town

My milkshake was delicious and blended to perfection. My only criticism is it is a tad bit expensive but where in Nashville is something not. Would love to come back for another shake when in Nashville

Awesome ice cream!! Great little shop, delicious ice cream. Great music, nice employees! I will say, get your employees stools. They're not busy all the time, and should be able to plop down on something other than milk crates.

Good drinks and ice cream. Friendly staff. The only negative would be the parking. There is very limited parking since it's connected to a restaurant that gets pretty full.

I had the urge to get a chocolate malt made with ice cream. Not many places still make milkshakes that way but Mimi's does! The pleasant young lady behind the counter made it just as it should be.

This place is deliciously decadent! Wonderful locally sourced homemade ice cream! A great assortment of flavors abs free samples! Home made cones as well if you want. I had peanut butter chocolate ice cream and a homemade waffle cone dipped in chocolate. The con literally melted in my mouth it was delicious. I like the fact that everything is not overly sweet and just perfect, and you taste all the flavors in the ice cream. They also had a beautiful high tech coffee machine and hot teas I will definitely go back for that next time. I thought the price is reasonable and the location is great right in the Opryland area! I rarely ever leave blown away but this did it for me! Very tasty and very nice people! Go eat at Candy Fork restaurant that they own as well! A+++

Not homemade ice cream as advertised. Just basic Mayfield ice cream. Nothing special here.

Just went to Mimi's for the first time with my neighbors. All Donelson/Hermitage residents should go by and enjoy the delicious ice cream. They have a great selection at a very fair price!

I liked it. The young gentleman that waited on me was very polite and the turtle sundae was as really good.
