Mimo's Jewelry and Watches

What can I say other than I had a great experience visiting Mimo's shop. Coming from Vegas, it was on my list of things to do while in Long Beach after learning about his shop on YouTube. Customer service is so good that while I walked out with a JDM Seiko Monster, my wife walked out with ear rings and a necklace! Maybe I should have gone for the Alpina watch after all lol Mimo resized the watch with ease while explaining to me the difference with Seiko bracelets and ones I might be used to. Before any other watch purchases, I will be sure to call Mimo first to see if he can get it and sure do plan to visit again on my next trip to Long Beach.

Great shop! Good selection of used watches. They have new watches available as well as some jewelry. If you dont see what you want Mimo can order it for you. I got a used Hamilton intransitive for a killer price. I ended up going back to snag a Bulova Lunar Pilot Meteorite he had on display. Mimi is so friendly and incredibly fair. He has the best prices hands down, full stop. I shopped around. Mimo even hooked me up w a free strap and a gift for buying two watches in a week.

Picked up a great find from MIMO'S! They were flexible. My Breitling came with everything and in excellent condition. There are lots of great selections of men and women's jewelry and watches. I like to browse the used watch section and check out the current deals on these somewhat retro watches. The owner is the best, and the new inventory is always arriving. come by and have a look! They also repair and restore watches. I hope to do buisness with them in the future.

Mimo is a joy! I found him on YouTube and he is just a wonderful person, highly knowledgeable and just a wonderful person to talk to. I came across Mimo's through a Youtube watch review, and subsequently I have purchased two watches through him, neither of which he personally carried. He did the legwork of procuring both watches (one of which is a high demand, fairly high end piece) and passed each on to me for a great price. All along he has provided fantastic customer service, personally and promptly answering emails, phone calls, texts. So, Mimo, hats off to you and your fantastic little operation. Though I live in Seattle, I consider you my go-to "local" watch guy, and you can be sure of my future business and recommendations. A true jewel! (yuk, yuk)

My first purchased was a Seiko Orange Samurai SRPC07 via internet, Watch was mailed in a timely manner. Watch was as described. Customer service was very excellent that I purchase two more watches, SRPC93 & SRPB51. Both watches arrived in a timely manner and were packaged with extra care to insure that the watches would not get damaged during the shipping process. As a purchase from their website, I highly recommend them and I would definitely buy from again!

Great service, Mimo was helpful and very responsive. I ordered a Casiotron that was not yet available in Europe and I had the package at my doorstep the same week. I had to pay some import tax, but that is expected. Definitely recommend.

Went in for a battery for my tissot very nice man I believe he's the owner. He explain to me how my watch worked since I never own such a complicated time piece would definitely come back for an upgrade on a hamilton piece.

Mimo is amazing and Long Beach is lucky to have a jewelry repair and shop such as this. I've gotten watches fixed and pearls restranded and was impressed with the speed of return, service, and price! I have absolutely found my new jeweler and am relieved for it after having mid-level experiences with McCarthys.

My husband and I have had great experiences with Mimo so far -- his prices are fair and his stock is impressive! When my husband, a self-proclaimed "watch guy" who is very knowledgeable about watches and fair prices, bought a watch from him, Mimo let him have a strap for free. When my husband bought a metal bracelet for said watch, Mimo adjusted it for free, and then adjusted it again for free when my husband brought it in again. Mimo is also currently fixing my wedding ring, and I am excited to get it back and see the beautiful, affordable work that was done!

Swapped out my watch battery very quickly for a good price. Provided advice for ongoing maintenance and timing without upselling me at all. Honest and efficient.

Mimo has fixed maybe six pieces or so for me, and he is incredibly talented with phenomenal attention to detail. He's fixed clasps, fixed chains, sized rings up and sized them down. His solutions are always thoughtful and creative. Pricing is more than fair. This man is the best in the business, and such a nice guy. I've literally recommended him to my out of town friends. Would give six stars if I could!

Excellent customer service, fair prices and high quality work. I had my engagement ring spruced up (rhodium plated, a diamond replaced and broken prongs fixed), got a new gold clasp for a pendant, new watch battery, new watch band for my husband's watch, and had a silver Tane bracelet from Mexico professionally cleaned bead by bead). The owner did an amazing job. My 10 year old engagement ring looks brand new and my 20 year old bracelet looks like it was just purchased. Very happy with the quality of work. His wife is also super nice and provides excellent customer service. Will definitely be going back!

Yes I'm a happy customer. Mimo's Jewelry is hands down the best jeweler in Long Beach. If you have to go out of your way to get there, do it - Mimo knows his business, and most importantly is honest and helpful. And if you need something repaired, do yourself a favor and bring it to Mimo.

Mimo is the best. He's reshaped and recreated two of my wife's engagement and wedding rings. Each time he's been communicative, well priced and more importantly his work is incredible, we've been nothing but happy and thankful. He's also always complemented the diamonds we've brought in for him to work on, and not once hinted at any sort of upsell or bashing of the items we've brought in to be redone, that alone is incredible in todays age, he's there just to be the best jewelry he can for his clients and we appreciate that.

First time at Mimo's. Friendly greeting. I showed my jewelry repair situation to Mimo's wife (this is a small family business). She told me Mimo would call to let me know what needed to be done and cost. Mimo called me promptly to give me the information. I received a call the following week when it was ready. Very well repaired and cleaned. Reasonable price.

I bought on amazon a new band for my apple watch. A followed the instructions and put the screen protector, case and band on. When I out the case on a forgot to move this one paper of. I couldnt safely remove the case so I google for a watch repair place. This place came up with 5* and boy was I happy. I called around 11AM and spoke with a lady and explained her what happened with my apple watch. She told me that the repair man will be available at 1PM and to come at that time. So I walked from Pine all the way down Broadway to the repair shop. The watch repair man opened the locked door and let me in. The second I start explaining what happened he told me he doesn't work with any android phone and can not help me at all. Just to say again I needed someone to just remove the case from the phone screen. I told him that I was told differently over the phone and his reply was his wife doesn't know that as apparently I spoke with her. What made me upset is that I did everything right on my side, called, informed them what is going on and also requested to get connected with the repair man. I followed their advice to get there and got screwed where the repair man wouldn't even try to help. On the end he literally kicked me out saying he is busy with another customer.

I rarely need to see a jeweler but Mimo is the best. I recently accidentally fit my ring and 2 small diamonds came out. He was very helpful in explaining what he could do and the price was right. It turned out better then I thought.

Needed a simple battery replacement, which was accomplished on the spot while I waited. I prefer to support local businesses and will go back whenever I have another watch emergency.

Saw the store mentioned in one of the youtube reviews i was watching. Tried to reach out and see if they use usps instead of fedex since they always give me problems. They replied right away and said they will use usps. Purchased the watch yesterday and i got it today. I am really happy with the experience, i like that the warranty card is also stamped and dated unlike those I purchased before from amazon. I think i found my local seiko dealer from now on. Keep it up Mimo!

Honest! Honest! Honest! Does quality work. I have taken all my broken gold jewelry to him. He's fast and reasonably priced. It's a family owned business, so you can tell they are passionate about their work.

The entire experience of working with Mimo's from the first contact all the way to getting the ring was perfect. Such a stress-free and positive experience. He's very knowledgeable, quick, and honest. He helped resize a ring for me and took less than a week to do it. He made sure that I knew what I was paying for during the process. I ended up needing it to be resized again and appraising it and he was very helpful with that process as well!

I went in today 4/25/2022 to adjust the band size on a Casio watch of mine. I didn't get the man's name but he was able to get the job done in under 2 minutes & didn't charge me a dime. When I asked him to also replace the battery, he did it swiftly and professionally for the low price of $15. Overall I was in and out of the store in 10 min. If you need a watch fixed this is the place!!

Mimo went above and beyond making my fiancée her dream engagement ring. After my first visit with him, I knew he'd be the one to make our engagement ring. In contrast to the other jewelers I visited, he was the only one who sat down with me to talk about design details and show me what the CAD design might look like on his computer. He truly listens to what you want while providing his expertise without being pushy or salesy. We ended up having to reset the stone due to my mistake and Mimo was extremely helpful. His no-problem attitude made the process so easy and my fiancée now has a beautiful ring that we'll enjoy for years to come. We also love that he is a local small business and has worked with diamond alternatives (he is familiar with moissanite and works with Charles & Colvard). If you're looking for a jeweler who can make your custom ring dreams come true, I would highly recommend. I will definitely be back for my wedding band.

Mimo's hosted the YouTuber Random Rob's meetup group at his store. He provided free refreshments from the coffee shop next door. Most of us had come 100's of miles away, but he still treated us like regular customers.

I never thought we could find a Jewelry store that we would like as much as our go to jewelry store in Los Feliz, down from Skylight Books. The owners were senior citizens and knew how to make you feel appreciated. Great conversationist too. There closure was a lost to the community. Mimo's is now our go to jewelry store. The owner is professional yet friendly. He was able to take care of my husband's request and explained I would have to leave my 3 items, that would be available that evening or the next day. One of the items was a watch my mother gave me just before she died. I was pleased to get the call that everything was fixed and I could pick them up that same evening. We picked them up and asked about getting two additional items fixed We were given honest professional advice. We certainly look forward to our next trip Mimo's.

I am thankful that we have an excellent, honest and knowledgeable jewelry and watch repairman in our neighborhood. I have brought a number of watches and a bracelet for repair with Mimo and I have always left their store with great satisfaction due to their professionalism, honesty and the reasonableness of his prices. Today he inspected and changed batteries to three of my watches in less than 20 minutes and I left one of them to replace the crystal. I recommend Mimo for the repair of your jewelry and watches. Mimo also has watches for sale in his store.

Got a brand new Cartier watch. I have a tiny wrist and needed many links removed. Wanted to wear my watch to dinner and several jewelers were scarred to assist, advising me to see a Cartier boutique. Mimo saved the day. Perfection!

Mimo has a selection of original pieces that are breathtaking. He was an amazing listener and really paid attention to what we wanted. He hand-crafted a gorgeous ring for my partner that they will get to wear for the rest of our lives. He did an incredible job paying attention to detail. He constructed our ring in a timely manner and kept us in the loop as to where was in the process each week. Upon first receiving the ring, I was thrilled, however, my wife was concerned about some minor details. When I came back to the shop with the ring, Mimo offered, without question or fighting, to fix the details that they wanted so that we could have the perfect ring. He even offered to give us our money back until the ring was to my partner's standards. He made the alterations quickly and my partner was able to wear their dream ring. Mimo presents with a calming and present energy. He was kind and empathetic. My partner and I are both in graduate school, have internships and work. Our time is limited and minimal. Mimo accommodated us and came in on a day that he was not working so that my partner and I could create our dream ring together. A few weeks after receiving our ring, I decided to have my wedding ring resized. He quoted me a price and a few days later called me on the phone to let me know of some less expensive options. When the ring was ready, he honored the prices he quoted on the phone even though he did additional work. I highly recommend Mimo. He is easy going and a pleasure to work with. Most importantly, his work is beautiful, precise, and amazing!

Mimo is amazing!!! I'll start by saying that I am the type of person who is hyper aware of what is touching me, itchy sweaters, tight pony tail, jewelry, all drives me crazy. As someone who never wore jewelry before this is amazing. It's so smooth, well fitted and perfect. He guided us through the process and helped create a personalized engagement ring and wedding ring. He came at the recommendation of my best friend and we're both so happy with everything. Mimo is fantastic! Been here several times for jewelry repair, my fault in damaging a chain necklace. Had the necklace fixed 3 times, hopefully for the last time. Also had new batteries put in 4 watches, with new leather bands on two of them. Was able to wait while the watches were completed. My wife's wedding rings needed to be cleaned and coating redone. Mimo said it would be ready next day....I truly anticipated him calling to say he couldn't get it done. True to his word, it was ready the following day. The rings looked Fantastic! Wife was very happy! I'm happy! The best jewelry store and service in Long Beach!

Does amazing work. Went in to choose a wedding band with my fiance. We chose Mimo's own design, the triple knot ring, both made of white gold. Fiance's ring had one of the three bands filled with diamonds. The price seemed very fair. Mimo met with us at each step of the process to ensure we were happy and that the rings fit perfectly. Another incredible piece from Mimo. He used the diamonds from my wedding and engagement bands to make these stunning hoop earrings set in 14k gold. 1 carat total weight on each earring. Each diamond was painstakingly hand set from largest to smallest stone. Screw back posts to ensure that they never fall off. Absolutely gorgeous.

Ordered a watch after speaking to Mimo. He was amazing and got the order out , sized within an hour. The package made it from California to Florida in a day because of his great customer service. He sized and shipped the watch immediately. Packaging was perfect and I will definitely buying more watches from Mimo!

My fiancé was referred to Mimo though a friend and used him to create my engagement ring. Mimo's detailed work and attentiveness was beyond what was expected and the ring is the prettiest I've ever seen (I'm biased). We're going back to him for our wedding rings and will continue to use Mimo as our jeweler for the future!

Came in to have a ring resized and the links in a vintage bracelet repaired. Mimo did the job in just a couple days (I think he originally estimated a week) and took great care of both items. My only suggestion: he should have a bigger sign out front so he gets more business! I live in the neighborhood and had never noticed the shop till I Googled for jewelry repair.

I took a sterling silver necklace in to fix a clasp. I literally walked in with no appointment. I wasn't bringing in fine jewelry, which I know is their forte. The man fixed the clasp for me ON THE SPOT and didn't charge me for it. This type of service NEVER happens anymore and, while maybe seen as a small gesture to some people, it has since made me go to Mimo's for find jewelry and watch repair. The service is always impeccable.
