Michigan Suspends More Restaurant and Bar Liquor Licenses for Violating COVID-19 Orders | Eater Detroit

"Located in Houghton, this establishment was issued a liquor license suspension by the Michigan Liquor Control Commission during the late-November enforcement actions for violating Michigan Department of Health and Human Services epidemic orders that imposed a three-week pause on indoor service beginning Nov. 18. It was grouped with other restaurants and bars fined or suspended this fall for defying the restrictions and is scheduled to appear in a virtual hearing before an administrative law judge on Dec. 4, facing possible further discipline up to suspension or revocation of its license." - Brenna Houck

This Google listing needs to be split up from the restaurant Rock House Grill and the entertainment area Mine Shaft. They do not have the same hours. The manager told me they have not updated this listing in over 12 years, so the store hours are not correct for the entertainment area. He said for the most up-to-date information go to their website. We drove well over an hour to get there and after eating was not able to do anything else. No bowling no arcade. It was very sad for our birthday guests. The manager gave off the impression since they are the only entertainment complex in town. They don't care about the customer. They had a small group bowling using 2 lanes, but wouldn't allow us to bowl. Even though all the other lanes were open.

This was conveniently located next to our hotel. Good selection of food. There was everything from burgers, pizza, sandwiches, salads and more. The fried mushrooms were good.

Sat at table for 10 minutes and no one waited on us so I finally flagged down a waitress and asked if we could order a drink and she said she had to check with the hostess, she never get back to us but but did seat a couple right next to us then came back several minutes later with their drinks so I walked up to her and said we have have not been waited on for 15 minutes but yet you served a table that arrived after us and have not even stopped by our table and her response was I need to ask my server??? Makes no sense so we left and will not go back

The service was good. The food was just OK. Burger was alright, but not great. Pizza was OK. I wouldn't go back for the food by choice, but if someone really wanted to go there, I would. The real let down was the gaming side. Half the machines were broken or malfunctioning. The place as a whole has really gone down hill since we were here last in 2019.

Came in with the boys and my fiance, the rockhpuse did not disappoint in The slightest with large portions, hearty selection and mouth smacking flavor from meal to meal. Pack and to go if you must but you are missing out on the dine-in experience of the mineshaft combo featuring several fun arcade like games and a bowling alley to rack up points after stuffing your faces at the rockhouse.

Our waitress was wonderful. Food was decent. The steak bites were my favorite thing. Cheap prices for bowling and games. Tables for seating were a little inconvenient for someone in a wheelchair. They stated that they only had one table that could accommodate which was already taken so my husband had to sit at a table that rested at his chin.

The food at the Rockhouse was great! The Mine Shaft side needs some serious updated. Half of the games are out of service all the time. There used to be a lot more but it looks like maybe they break down and don't get fixed or replaced. It used to be a lot better than it currently is.
