Google
Cash Only, so be prepared. I wasn’t prepared lol. Pizza was hotttttttt out the oven, very fresh and made with love, you could taste. They also have a bar area that has beer in tap. I would definitely recommend stopping by. Also some pizza can be ordered by the slice.

Google
Fresh hot food. Manicotti and meatballs were good. Wife had eggplant parm. Said it was amazing. Daughter had calzone. The small one is huge. Great place here in Squirrel Hill.

Google
Your search is over for the best pizza in the area, go here. We stopped in for a night on our way to NYC and out of our entire trip, including Little Italy itself, THIS was the best pizza by far. The pizza was probably the best I’ve ever had. The bar side was pleasant, waitress and kind and very funny. We highly, highly recommend!

I left Pittsburgh almost twenty years ago, but a visit to Mineo's is a must whenever I'm back for a visit. Best pizza ever, anywhere!

Henry Beringer

Google
Pizza crust was solid black from top to bottom. They should be ashamed to even put it in the box. Had to throw it away. They used to make great pizza, but this was the worse I’ve had in years. If you like burnt pizza this is for you.

Google
If you are looking for a great pizza with substance that includes a healthy, extremely plentiful amount of cheese and sweet and savory sauce; then come to Mineo’s! I really enjoyed their pepperoni pizza. The pepperoni seemed to hidden in between the sauce and under the thick layers of cheese. We enjoyed. Dare would I say that I would ask for them to decrease the amount of cheese just a tad next time? Hiding from Pittsburgh Mineos fans as I say that out loud. I enjoyed this pizza the day of and even more the day after. Street parking only. Cash only.

Google
great employees. great food. great vibe. great prices. 100% worth tipping 100% of my bill. they will warn you items (singular slices of pizza at least) will take around 20 minutes. worth it!

Yelp
Every time I'm back in The BURGH this is my first stop along with The Triangle Bar and Grill in Swissvale for a Battleship hoagie. LETS GOOOOO

Yelp
As a pizza connoisseur I appreciate a good tasty pizza! I love the sauce here and the fact they are generous with toppings. I like to build my pizza my way and I guess they have limitations when it's a half hour to closing. My opinion is if you are open let me have what I enjoy which is extra sauce and my sausage cooked fully. I couldn't get my specific style I like they only serve cheese or pepperoni slices premade no customization that close to closing. While the pizza was good it wasn't great like I've had it before from here with the ability to build my pizza. The pizza crust was crunchy but I needed the extra sauce and the flavorful sausage that I've had there before. Still one of my go to pizza places just not anymore near closing.

Yelp
1/3/25 Ate List: Slice of Pepperoni - Score 5.8 Slice of Cheese - Score 5.7 Aware this is a "Pittsburgh institution" when it comes to pizza. I will respect that and the opinion of those that feel that way. But it's not "worth any hype" for me. The "institution" itself I love - cash only, can order by the Slice, nice old-school ambiance. The pizza itself though is pretty middle of the road. Very crispy on the crust, good cheese, oil accumulating circle pepperoni, and a specific red sauce that felt below average. I respect the place. But if we were to say Pittsburgh has amazing pizza, this should not be mentioned.

Yelp
I think getting a whole pie is the move here. We grabbed a few slices and they were quite bad -- the crust tasted old or like it was lacking a standard ingredient -- not at all enjoyable. We also got a few half-baked pies to go and those cooked up great. If we come back we will get a whole pie vs. slices.

Yelp
Crust all homemade and good. A little crunchy . Cheese is amazing. We ordered the John's special and two half baked pepperoni to go back to Cincinnati Great bar and service but we didn't drink alcohol

Yelp
It's a well known Pittsburgh pizza classic. Maybe the most well known place in Pittsburgh by some estimates. It's natural I had to give it a try at some point. I decided to order a regular cheese calzone (small size) and a chocolate dipped cannoli. To be honest, I was pretty underwhelmed. There really wasn't anything all that special about this place. The calzone size was decent, but sauce didn't have a ton of flavor. Cheese was also pretty standard but they included a fair amount of it (mozzarella or provolone and ricotta, both good). But, as you can see in the photo, the outside was dusted in a ton of flour. It didn't seem fully cooked. It felt like a calzone with some sort of weird topping. Not the best. The cannoli was pretty good. It was a good size, although price wasn't very cheap, it wasn't expensive either. The inside of the cannoli was great. I'm pretty sure they make these in house, which is nice for sure. All in all, just a standard pizza shop. Not the best calzone experience. Way too much flour dusting. Cannoli was solid.

Yelp
I feel a bit guilty not liking this place more. A friend who grew up here said it was a must visit for pizza. I sat at the bar and cool motif with the founder in a picture in front of the ovens. Dang I wish I liked the pizza more. I did a cut of Sicilian with roni and a small sausage and mushroom. The small had a pool of liquid in the middle of the pie that took away from the yummy crust. Not sure my choice of shrooms and 7 pounds of cheese helped. If I cut out the middle, it was solid. Good service and friendly folks.

Yelp
We finally decided to try this pizza joint that everyone & their sister has been recommending since we announced we were moving here 2 years ago. It wasn't the best pizza we've had here (this would be more a 3 1/2 star review, if possible!), but it was pretty good. WAY too much cheese on the white pizza, but it was flavorful. We added roasted peppers & tomatoes (really odd - we couldn't find the actual charge for these add-ons on the menu). We stopped in - on the bar side (there appears to be 3 separate areas in which to dine - one resembles seats at a McDonalds, another is more general dining room, & then there's the busier bar area) - and decided the lack of ambiance & any of our preferred beer choices meant we'd get our pizza to go. The 1st bartender to come over acted like we had 3 heads when we asked for a beer list. She pointed to a chalk board w/ the draft list & then said, "Just tell me a name (of a beer), & I'll tell u if we have it in bottle." ‍ Not playing that game - & deciding this wasn't the place to get a glass of wine (no names on a short "wine types" list), we opted for a summer spritzer special drink. The elderflower & citrus mix was quite refreshing. The 2nd server/bartender to take our order was quite pleasant - thank goodness. All in all, it was a decent experience. Not sure we'd go back, though.

Yelp
This place is absolutely the worst, I keep saying I'm not ordering from them but I did yet again! Both pizza's were wrong and the large was also burnt, I called and they were like sorry, we will put you in our book and the next time you decide to order just let them know we owe you a pizza. Yeah, that has NEVER happened, I don't know what kind of book they put your name in but apparently it's not a book where you get a free pizza. And the guy on the phone was like I don't recall this interaction at all, and I was like do you remember every order you screw up! Save your money because they really aren't worth it.

Yelp
Johnny's special and a regular tradition pizza. Crust was crisp. Sauce was good and the cheese was really good. Solid is pizza I will be back.

Yelp
It has been so long since I've been to or eaten Mineo's. We went on a Saturday night around 7 and to my surprise it was fairly empty. Also to my surprise, street parking was easy as we got a spot right out front. We ordered the plain pizza and pepperoni. Everything came out pretty quickly. The pizza is SO good! The cheese is just absolutely amazing tasting. I only gave 4 stars instead of 5 for the cleanliness but its really exactly what you expect a pizza shop to look like. My daughter and her friends had a great time hanging out. Its a good spot for kids. I would love to not make it another 10 years until I stop back in!

Yelp
Stop 16 of pizza passport and first time here. A lot of hype prior but can't say anything wowed me. Standard counter service. The crust was decent but a little soggy when lifted. Cheese and sauce fine but thin layer of it. There's lots of standout pizzas around that I was exposed to make it a priority to come back

Yelp
The best part about Mineo's pizza is the crust. It's flaky and has great flavor. Mineo's is often ranked among the best pizza restaurants in Pittsburgh, and I have to assume that the crust is why. However what they pile on top of the crust isn't as impressive. Not a fan of the flavor or texture of the sauce. Toppings go under the cheese, which traps every bit of grease in. The cheese itself didn't have as much flavor as you would hope for... and they put a LOT on. Now, I love cheese. I'll enjoy an extra cheese pizza anytime. Plain cheese is my go-to order. But just a standard order of cheese here was too much cheese. I might feel differently about it if it was better cheese, but it kind of just felt like they were trying to cover up what was going on with the rest of the pizza by piling on so. much. cheese. So really, it's not for me. There's some stiff competition for the best pizza in Pittsburgh, and I don't think Mineo's reaches the level of other local favorites like Fiori's or Benny's or even Sorrento's (RIP). But they have lots of awards from the early-mid 2000s on the wall and have done well enough for themselves that they not only expanded into the storefront next door but opened another restaurant in Allison Park. So give it a try for yourself. But this one was not for me.

Yelp
Mineos is nostalgic to me. Both of my parents grew up in Squirrel Hill. My grandparents lived right up the road. It was a standard growing up to head to Mineos to get a pie. We decided to sit on the OG side for old times sake. Boy, those booths have welcomed me for decades. The pizza is always delicious. Super loaded with cheese (my favorite) and always ready for a big cheese pull. The sauce is savory. The crust is thin so when it's locked and loaded it might be a little floppy but I think it adds to the charm. Also, sometimes I get out a fork and knife (sacrelig I know) just so I don't miss a single piece of cheese. I will say, which ever side you order your pie from - ie the original booth side or the bar side- is where you will sit. So plan on ordering where you decide to plop down. Wash it all down with a @turnerspgh lemonade and call it a #GOUDapproved day.

Yelp
I went on a trip to Pittsburgh to find the absolute best pizza in the area. I tried 15+ places in the area that I was told were the best, but in the end Mineo's reigned supreme as my .#1. The cheese, the sauce, the crust... all superb.
google avatar

Yelp
This was our first time at Mineo's. As everyone told us, this place is a gem. We had two pizzas, a 16" cheese and a 12" pepperoni and sausage. When they add in-house made Italian sausage, we learned it bakes a little longer. Both pies were really good. The sauce is a bit sweet (which we like) and both are loaded with high-quality cheese. The pepperoni and sausage were incredible. Tiny bit of spice in the pep and slight sweetness to the sausage. The crust was perfect on the cheese pizza. Yet, the crust on the pep/sausage pizza was a bit "moist" just before you get to the end crust. It was distracting and made the pie seem undercooked, yet it was obviously properly baked. Folks warned us to let them set for a minute to save from burning our mouths. So true. We didn't and we did. Plenty of seating; two big rooms. The place got hopping around 6P. Parking is always dependent on timing, yet we had no problem (public lot just across the street...cross corner-ish). Friendly service. Quick turnaround. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Let's just say customer service is not one of their strong suits. I went in at 20 minutes before they closed and they had no pizza available. In other words, the employees ( who I may add were not the most energetic looking) were too lazy to make a pizza. It turned out for the best, as I went to another nearby pizza location that was more than happy to make me a pie even though they were closing in 10 minutes. It's just one less place on my list to visit in town.
google avatar

Michael D.

Yelp
Have tried the Squirrel Hill location but this is the first time at Allison Park. First very happy with the pizza. The crust was excellent and cheese coverage was perfect. Check out the picture. We had pepperoni and mushrooms, not a huge fan of canned prefer fresh, but the slices were sumptuous. We also got a salad and was very pleased with ingredients. Good lettuce not ice berg, red onions, black olives and peppers. Great salad.

Yelp
Decent pizza, but I dined in and after 45 mins to an hour I went up and asked what was going on. They knew they were caught so they finally admitted that they gave away my pizza 15 mins ago to someone else. Mistakes happy but it's supper cruddy that they tried to hide it and didn't immediately walk up and say sorry, and also adjust my expectations. It will be a hard sell to eat here again because of staff attitude. Just admit your mistake before it becomes a big deal.

E K.

Yelp
I had really high hopes for this pizza. I've had people tell me about this place since I've moved to Pittsburgh years ago. My mother sent me an article saying that this pizza place was one of the best in Pittsburgh. Finally I decided to give it a try. to my utter disappointment, as many other Pittsburgh places have done in the past, this Pizza was not good. The crust was cooked to perfection but flavorless. No salt, no sugar, just cardboard. Toppings are under the cheese, but there's WAY too much cheese. The layer of cheese is thicker than the crust and was also flavorless. Not even salty. Felt like I bit into a block of melted mozerella. There's not nearly enough sauce, but with the layer of cheese being an inch thick, the crust would crack under the pressure. It was a grease pool. Unfortunately I'd rather go to dominoes

Yelp
GROSS! Mushrooms were sour, pepperoni tasted old, and Sicilian pie was sloppy. Should have known we made a mistake after young couple stormed out of restaurant after being treated poorly. Also, another lady returned her pizza complianing about the mushrooms and pie being burnt ... another clue we should have went to Aiello's! Men's restroom smelled like sewage. Quite a nosedive since my last visit years ago. Will never return. Hope this helps others make a better choice.

Renee N.

Yelp
I ordered an gluten free pizza and regular slices for my family. And cheese cake dessert. We got the dessert and slices very quickly. Family was happy with the pizza and dessert. However, I waited over 40 minutes for my pizza, I then asked when it would be ready. I was told 15 minutes. Family had already ate and we were sitting and waiting. Went up again, no gluten free pizza. I asked if was done soon. I got the impression they hadn't even made the pizza. I honestly don't know what happened. They gave me a refund and apologized. It was the weirdest experience I've ever had. It was tough leaving and realizing I wasn't going to get pizza. Also the women's bathroom was disgusting. We were looking forward to trying a traditional pizza place in Pittsburgh. I think they could've explained what happened at the very least.

Yelp
This is my father's favorite pizza in the Burgh, which is really saying something because we have great pizza.

Yelp
Food is excellent! Service and staff are top notch. LOVE THIS PLACE. Very welcoming environment. The best of the best!

Yelp
Pizza soup, anyone? First time visit from longtime Yinzers. Our pizza was mistakenly delivered to the large party next to us who ate it without protest. An hour+ after ordering a small cheese pie, it was brought to our table. It was an undercooked bowl of cardboard with cheese and sauce 'soup'. Impossible to eat by picking it up, with silverware, and by folding. In the end, we tore up the crust to scoop little piles of cheese and sauce from our plates and ate about half of it. Good thing we ordered a hoagie so we didn't leave hungry. Great bread, decent amount of toppings, and the reason for the review stars.

Yelp
Bomb pizza, friendly staff, and a great area to walk around. This place has it going on!
google avatar

Geraldine U.

Yelp
Has to be one of my favorite pizza places in Pittsburgh so far. The crust was so tasty on its own and has a good chew to it. Pizza crust is hardly my favorite part of pizza but I think this one took the spotlight. The pizza sauce doesn't slack either though. It is sweet and savory. We love the Johns special, as all the toppings are flavorful and go well together. The onions and peppers had that nice fresh complement. How dare I say though that there was too much cheese for our liking. The cheese was falling of the slice and the toppings were going everywhere. But otherwise, we loved the pizza!

Karl S.

Yelp
Mineo's pizza is the best pizza in Pittsburgh. Crispy crust without being burnt, the cheese pull for miles, and tasty pepperoni make this the king of pizzas in Pittsburgh.
google avatar

Kristi B.

Yelp
Back in the area and of course - had to stop at Mineo's Pizza House for some really great Pizza! Saturday night in July and the place was busy at the bar area - so we went down to the area where they serve slices and order pick and sat down to enjoy a large pepperoni pizza with extra cheese and a couple of Yuengling draft beers. The owner actually brought our beers to us! Needless to say - the pizza was delish! We barely brought leftovers home! This place is a classic and worth the drive out of the city to get some great pizza!

Loretta W.

Yelp
If I ever order Aiello pizza again, I'll be sure to tap my home equity loan to help pay for this overpriced mediocre (at best) pie. I can't figure out how this place gets good reviews except to say that people haven't tasted good pizza. For the price of $30 + for a small pie. I expect to be impressed..... sorry, wasn't....

Sam M.

Yelp
My fiancé currently works here and she is being mistreated by a manager. He consistently makes misogynistic remarks towards her such as she didn't get an education, have her broke boyfriend (fiance) pay for her bills, or that she'll never be a manager. I've also noticed that he has actively said this to other women and has made them uncomfortable. I've also noticed hes looking extremely tired as he keeps continually falling asleep. Don't get me wrong the food is amazing and I would rate it 5 stars but with the way the manager has been treating my fiancé and no action has been taken against him I am forced to put 2 stars

David D.

Yelp
The best crust ever! Now I know why it's No. 1 in Pitt. Can't believe I've never been here until today. Forget about all the others. Top notch and so original. Will be back - always a good reason the shop on the Hill!

Yelp
I have enjoyed this pizza for almost 40 years. Closest thing to home as a New York transplant. Crust is perfect and has some flavor. Sauce and cheese just what I crave in a taste from home. This pizza NEVER disappoints. Cash only.

Jessica R.

Yelp
This was one of the best pizzas I've had! Super cheesy and delicious. Service was fast too!

Arianna m.

Yelp
How could I forget ... Many orders and disappointments later- my friend wants to order again.... It's been nearly a year and why I haven't taken the time to share the consistent disappointment is strange. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. If you want underdone dough swimming in a sea of grease - this is your place. This isn't a "bad review", this is the reality. After getting the pizza home, attempting to salvage it, bake it and then finally giving up ... Service: When ordering take-out, perhaps it will take longer than twenty minutes. (Okay. I figured that out) But when I'm not the only one waiting... please, just say 40 minutes. To then get dough. Not pizza - DOUGH. This is actually dangerous - uncooked dough is not good (okay), and undercooked dough can make people sick. If the cooks didn't look uninterested- and bored... I could have commented "they're so busy!" Maybe they didn't know ... that was not the case. They put out a bad product at a premium price in a disinterested way - consistently. Shame on me for not leaving this review the last time.

Yelp
Needing a pizza fix ? Go to where it all started Mineo's Murray Avenue. The pizza is away delicious and never disappointing. The cheese blend is so good it's addictive. The homemade sauce is tart but complements the cheese. We go late night when it's not crowded. We always get a seat and good fast service. Highly recommend !!! This pizza can fix any pizza late night craving.
google avatar

Mitch S.

Yelp
The most interesting part about mineo's is the application of toppings underneath the cheese. I think it is a great idea. The pizza was good overall but it was just average. I think the crust was a bit light and the overall flop was a bit much. Still a good piece of pizza just not worth a 4 or 5 stars in my book.

Yelp
Had dinner here the other night while on our trip to Pittsburgh. It was a decent crowd for a Sunday night and the bar half of the restaurant was hoppin'. So the reason we stopped by is I was reading into the apparent local rivalry between this place and a very nearby place. So the other one seemed to be set up for like a fast food place and it was currently empty, so we decided to first dine-in here. We did stop by the other place afterwards to complete the taste test. Obligatory had to... So the winner? I mean, I would say both pizzas are about equal. Nice crispy crust, and all. The thing I'll also add is the pizza sauce at both places was quite sweet. Much sweeter than what I'm used to, and so that's what gives me pause. I'm sure it's a regional thing and that's just how they like it in the Burgh, but it was kinda meh for me. Overall nice place and nice people. I think it's a trend here, but the service seemed to be overwhelmed. There was this one gentleman that was the host, bartender, waiter, table cleaner, etc. Etc. It's too much for one person, IMHO.

Ptown S.

Yelp
What had been my favorite pizza place in my neighborhood is sadly no longer an option after I was completely ignored after sitting down at the bar and waiting 20-25 minutes with no acknowledgement on a recent Friday night. I said a friendly "Hi" to the young server when I walked in (after dutifully getting cash from the ATM in the next room). She seemed less than thrilled and kind of backed away as if I'd overwhelmed her or something. So I sat down near the front corner of the bar and waited and waited. The server wandered around inside the U-shaped bar, checking on the same customers two or three times, hovered over the computer for what seemed like an inordinate amount of time, shuffled a stack of menus, all the while avoiding eye contact and completely disregarding my existence. Meanwhile, her older colleague chatted up a couple of customers for several minutes, never looking at the rest of the bar. In an effort to determine what was wrong, I asked a nice, middle-aged couple next to me if this was a private party or something. They assured me it was not, joined me in my frustration, and kindly informed the older server that I had been sitting there for awhile with no service. She said she was leaving for the night and couldn't speak for the younger server's lack of action. When the latter had no choice but walk by me, I calmly said "Thanks for ignoring me." She rather laconically replied, "When did I do that?" I said, pointing at the chair, "I sat there for 20 minutes." She kinda mumbled "Oh my God," gazed in the other direction, but offered no apology or anything to remedy the situation. So I walked out of Mineo's, probably for the last time, and headed to another restaurant, where the bartender immediately engaged me, providing a smile and a menu. I'll miss the pizza, but fortunately there are plenty other options in Squirrel Hill.

Yelp
The cheesiest pizza!! Don't sleep on the meatballs, they were also very good and saucy. The appetizer meatballs does not come with ricotta but you're able to add it on. The Lasagna was also very good and we were able to dip the garlic bread in the extra sauce. I also liked that the salad was loaded up with fresh veggies. A fun place to go with friends to hang out at the bar! They also have touch tunes where you can play your own music. If you don't want to be in the bar area they also have a separate room with tables that's more quiet.
google avatar

Kara B.

Yelp
5 stars all around!!! I am still thinking about my pizza from Mineo's. I will say though, in order to enjoy this pizza, you must love cheese!! I don't even want to know how much cheese they go through a week!! The sauce was sweet and delicious and the house made sausage is to die for. So much flavor and a delicious Pittsburgh staple!!
google avatar

Yelp
Gotta give this place a solid 4 stars. It's a very good pie... the pepperoni and sauce is excellent a nice bit of spice in the sauce imho..:: the cheese is plentiful. And the crust has a nice crisp to it... it's one of the best pizzas i had in Pittsburgh... personally i prefer napolis as i have been going there since i was about 12/13 but by no way is this a bad or average pie it is excellent with a a whole lot of flavor

Yelp
Tl; dr--great if you're a regular, service is pretty bad if it's busy and you're not. Also their pizza is pretty good. The food was honestly great, but the service was absolutely awful. We walked in and sat at a pretty full bar. It took them 20 minutes to serve us, which would be fine with a full bar, except they acknowledged us, went to serve the regulars that walked in after us, and only after everyone else that came in after us was served. Whatever, brushed it off. Throughout the rest of our stay it was like pulling teeth to get any service, to even order another drink. Honestly we wanted another drink at the end but because no one would come by we didn't, so there's lost revenue there. There were 2 bartenders--a lady with black hair and a lady with blond hair. The blond one seemed to be working hard and trying to serve people, while the black haired one made it a point to talk to and serve the regulars. At one point she left the bar to go talk to a table for 10 minutes to say hi (which is fine), and we watched as the blond bartender had to bus that same table while the other one was talking to that exact table because she wasn't that interested in working. Service left much to be desired. That being said, got an appetizer and a pizza and both were delicious.

Yelp
Yet another local place that I know for a fact I've written a review about. Yet, where has it gone?!? *Sigh* So like everyone else in Pittsburgh you either love this place or the other well-known Squirrel Hill pizza shop. Or...you're like other city dwellers like me who love BOTH places! I love the flavor the slow cooked Italian tomatoes give to the sauce. Mama Mia! So good. So my order is almost always the same. Sicilian pie with extra cheese, sometimes pepperoni. The meatballs are some of the most robust and juicy balls ever to land on my tongue. When I still lived in Regent Square I'd head up the hill to grab some of their sauce (sold by the container) to cook dinner at home.

Laura B.

Yelp
Been going for years. Over the last year it changed. Significantly less sauce. Like eating cheesy bread. Contacted staff via email and got a callback. Told me to ask for less cheese or ask to have one of the seasoned pizza makers to make it. Why would I ask for less of something? Why aren't all the cooks making it correctly? Went again, asked for more sauce. Paid for more sauce. Got even less this time. Tried twice again because we were in the area and just hopeful they got it together by now. Sadly, they haven't. I can't imagine reducing the sauce to save money. You'd think reducing the cheese would reduce costs. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me 2, 3, 4 times--shame on me for returning. Going out of my way now to drive to Fiori's!

Yelp
I came to pick pizza up yesterday on 5/31/24. After the lady at the register brought half my order out to the car she asked how much I wanted to tip. I said I was not tipping and she went in to get the rest of my order. Little did she know I was following behind her and she shouted out "he is not tipping" "they are not tipping". This made me feel very uncomfortable. She even went on to tell a couple of her co-workers that I was not tipping as well. At this point I felt highly pressured into giving a tip. I ended up giving one but this was in no way, shape, or form professional behavior.

Yelp
If you like VERY cheesy pizza, then this is the spot for you. Stopped here late Saturday night and sat at the bar, the bar side is small but feels very cozy. They have a good draft selection & the drafts were ice cold which is always a plus. I would like to try some other things on the menu, as the sandwiches looked good. We ordered a small cheese pizza & it was definitely extra cheese. I wish it had been cooked longer as there was literally no crunch to the pizza and impossible to pick up with undercooked crust and a pound of cheese. A solid spot but I'm not sure if it lives up to the hype of best pizza in Pittsburgh.

Yelp
Quality slices of pizza that satisfy late night cravings on a Friday night! We stopped in after a movie at around 10 pm with a large group and ordered a few individual slices and it definitely hit the spot for us all! Pizza came out hot and cheesy with good flavor. Only complaint was that they told us it would take 25 mins if we ordered the Sicilian slice or if we wanted sausage as a topping (both of which were things a couple of us originally ordered). We changed our orders so that we could get our pizza quicker, but it honestly still took 25 mins to get our food. Overall, I recommend this place for pizza and other Italian classics! Worth a visit when in the squirrel hill area :)

Yelp
Growing up in the East end of Pittsburgh Mineo's is a staple. While my family still argues about what the best pizza shop on Murray is, I'm a fan of this one If you love cheesy greasy pizza, this is the place for you! I like how they put the pepperoni and under the cheese. Onion and green peppers is always a great option and a family favorite. I do have to say this a pretty expensive pizza shop, so it's definitely more of a once in awhile treat. If you haven't tried Mineo's yet it worth the splurge!
