Yakima’s Miner’s Drive-In Has Been Serving Incredible Burgers for 77 Years | Eater Seattle

"Opened on April 9, 1948 by Ed and Irene Miner with the help of their 16‑year‑old son, Lee, this drive‑thru on First Street at the edge of Yakima’s Valley Mall was the city’s first drive‑thru restaurant and remains a central late‑night anchor. The interior is described as "all shiny brown wood and stained glass lampshades, little pictures embossed on those lampshades of tomatoes and grapes on the vine cut into portraiture," with a soft‑orange logo in big blocky text on plastic cups and neon that reads like Old West signage. The soundscape and atmosphere are frenetic: fryers blitzing breaded chicken, big pools of oil bubbling parades of fries, orders called out and passed between staff in red‑and‑black uniforms, strawberry milkshakes slurped, and stained foil balled up by greasy fingers. The menu is unapologetically classic American fast food: the titanic Big Miner Burgers and chili cheese fries are "meaty, oozing, and weighty," teriyaki burgers figure in late‑night runs, and a salad bar station was added in 2000; the chili cheese fries are recalled as "titanic" and "heartburn‑inducing." Cars still snake through the drive‑thru (there are seven huge Pepsi‑branded menus in the lane alone), and even through COVID—when supply‑chain issues made beef and foil bags hard to source and lines swelled to "rarely fewer than 20 to 30 cars"—the operation kept running. Local lore claims the McDonald brothers visited in the restaurant’s infancy and took inspiration from its setup; "it's probably not true, but, like Mulder, Washingtonians want to believe." A mid‑1950s tradition began when the founder fed a high‑school coach for free; coaches still eat free to this day, the business sponsors teams and sporting events, and super‑late hours (usually 8:30 a.m. to 2 a.m., and until 3:30 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays) make it a time‑tested post‑game destination for teens. Family continuity and long tenures among staff reinforce the feeling of sameness: manager David Miner, grandson of Ed and Irene, says the business has "barely changed," and that "We don't want to scare customers away. People come here expecting things to stay the same." Head manager Al Louis has worked there 30 years since he was a 17‑year‑old dishwasher. The city around it even mounted a sign calling itself "the Palm Springs of Washington" (put up by a guy named Gary in 1987); when asked in 2013, Gary said, "We have a lot of sunshine over here," though one Seattle visitor observed, "I’ve been to Palm Springs, it looks nothing like Yakima." As the current manager puts it, "We’re busier than ever. So why change something that’s not broke?" - Paolo Bicchieri

11 of Eastern Washington’s Best Restaurants | Eater Seattle

"Since Miner’s Drive-In Restaurant opened in 1948 it has attracted diners from across the state and developed a cult following thanks to the busloads of school kids on their way home from class trips and sports. Not much has changed in the intervening years; the popular pit stop specializes in giant meals at an affordable price, primarily classic burgers and sandwiches, though the menu also features a variety of salads, seafood, and other less-common drive-in finds. In addition to the flagship Big Miner Burger, you should turn your attention to the chicken burger, slaw chili dog, and milkshakes." - Teo Bicchieri

Got a Big Miner burger and an order of fries came to a little bit over $16. The portion sizes are definitely huge. The burger was decent could have used some seasoning on the meat. The fries were good but way too many for an individual in my opinion. You order your food at the counter go sit at a table with a number and they bring it to you so no real table service. Guess that's why they call it a drive-in diner even though it's a sit-down restaurant. Was my first time in not sure if I'll be back wasn't that memorable. In my photo that is a normal sized lunch tray the burger is probably 6 in across. Not saying you don't get enough food for your money so if that's what you're looking for this might be your kind of place.

Google
I’m giving it a 1 star because of the price. They charged me $5.00 for a large coke and $5.55 for a SMALL fry. What is this, Disney World? This is a fast food place. My meal came out to $29.01. I could have went to Texas Roadhouse and got a 12 oz steak for that price with two FRESH sides. So, if you’re with 3 people and you each get a sub, or pretty much anything on the menu it’s all about the same price, a large coke that isn’t that large, and a SMALL fry, you’re looking at over $90 dollars. That’s insane for a fast food place. I suggest you get food elsewhere. If you’re on a budget DO not go here. I could have gotten a sub from Jimmy John’s or Jersey Mikes with arguably better quality for half the price. I have no idea what they’re thinking with this pricing. Is it because they’re called “Miners” and have been around for awhile and when you visit Yakima you visit Miner’s?? I don’t know what they’re on when they made their pricing. but $29.01 for a sub, a fry and a coke is ridiculous. It’s especially ridiculous when Texas Roadhouse is 2 blocks away and I could have gotten a 12 oz steak with two sides for what I paid here. Don’t go here. It’s not worth the money, there are better options. I’ve never seen a drive through with such ridiculous pricing in my life. $5 for a soda..I could have went up the road to circle K and got a 44 oz soda for 99 cents.

Google
Was told this was a staple of Yakima and that I had to try it. I was not disappointed at all the food was amazing the portion sizes were huge for the price. I got a double-miner burger, tots, and shake. The food was hot and well cooked. I will be back for more for sure while I stay here.

Google
Five star on the fast food scale! It had been 25 years since I have been here and it tasted just like what I remeber. Just a big ol good classic burger! The malt chocolate shake was delicious and the fries were nice and crispy. The menu is very large and have many options and I wished I was able to try more. One burger is plenty lol. Due note that the drive thru is opposite than what you think. Its order on the passengers side?!? I didn't ask why, but it made me wan to bring a RHD drive car through!

David P.

Google
The burguers are very delicious and big .it had been more than 10 years since I last tried them. And I came back they are just tasty as before. The place hasn't changed its one of those spots where time seems to stand still everything remains the same.

Dean C.

Google
First time visit and I was starved! Let me warn you about the size! Burger is not large.....it is HUGE! Milkshake was 2inches over the rim!🤪Fries were HOT and crisp like I love them. I couldn't start to eat it ll so fries and milkshake were brown bagged for later. Tons of seating and a Really nice grass outdoor area to eat if it is below 90 degrees!

Jeannette L.

Google
The smells were amazing! Burgers should come with a warning label. Be hungry! These homemade patties are huge! Perfectly seasoned and even taste good the next day!

Laura G.

Google
The restaurant was bigger than expected. Great atmosphere! Portions are big. We got the big miner burger, the SW taco ranch burger, curly fries, and a choc and PB shake. Food was top notch! We'll be back.
google avatar

Sara B.

Yelp
Miner's is a staple in Yakima valley. The quality is consistently excellent for "fast food." It's pricey, but the portions are always huge...easily big enough for two meals, so you can mentally divide the cost in half. Customer service, cleanliness...all top notch.
google avatar

Katherine Y.

Yelp
The burgers are ginormous and pretty tasty. I love the old school diner vibe, super nostalgic. Did I tell you about the shakes? We order a large apple pie shake, a medium strawberry shake and a small pumpkin pie shake. The only one we can finish was the little one. The large shake is like having 2 small pints of icecream in your shake, it is so big there was no way we could finish it. If you order the pie shake they actually put a pie of pie in your shake too!!! It was quite an experience for us and we will come by every time when we head to Yakima. This was so fun!
google avatar

Steven E.

Yelp
Ordered a miner with cheese and there is plenty to eat here. I split it with my lovely. Love the fresh tomato and lettuce with walla walla sweet onions. Good burger. Plenty of kitsch to see inside and lots of parking and seating. Fun stop. Where is that mine?
google avatar

Paul K.

Yelp
When in Yakima stop at Miner's - It's a must! It's been here since 1948 so it must be good. The menu is very large and the seating area inside is even larger. It's a one of a kind and I for one am glad it's here. Miners is known for their big Miner burgers but also have a decent selection of sandwiches, salads, shakes, etc. to boot. This time I had the Big Miner with cheese and a drink. The burger is certainly large enough for 2 meals (or one if you are a Seattle Seahawks Lineman!). Service was quick but it was early in the day and the place is very clean inside with lots of workers around. A great place to visit and very iconic!
google avatar

Jamil R.

Yelp
The food here was very solid! People are not lying when they say you should split a meal with someone, the burger is definitely LARGE. The curly fries were really good too Service is what you'd expect for fast food. Nothing bad but also nothing that stands out either. Ambiance is also what you'd expect for fast food. They have plenty of parking and seating outside which is nice.
google avatar

Sarah J.

Yelp
You have to stop by here if you're interested he area! The portions are HUGE and food is tasty. There's so much dining in space and outdoor seating as well. Service is quick and easy. The place was really packed but food still came out pretty quick. We ordered the cheeseburger and fries and split it, and it was more than enough for us! Definitely share with someone if you can. All food was steaming hot and they have a variety of sauces you can choose from. Will definitely be back here!
google avatar

Jose C.

Yelp
If you like food, make sure your ass gets 2 patties in every burger and extra cheese, thank me later. Everything else about the place from the ingredients, to the restaurants vibe is so nostalgic you might teleport to the 80's. Shakes are stupidly good too.

Fred B.

Yelp
I ordered a regular double cheeseburger, small fry and a medium coke. The burger was luke warm and seemed to be dry and unseasoned. Plenty of fresh hot fries though. Sadley, you can find comparable burger meals here locally for "Half" the price! Don't think it was worth the $25.00
google avatar

Brian P.

Yelp
This place never disappoints. Love to grab a burger every time I am in town. I am a lifelong customer of Miners. They would really knock it out of the park if they were to expand throughout the US. Delicious food and so many menu options. If you have never been here, add it to your bucket list.
google avatar

Stacey L.

Yelp
Similar to Mikes Drive in. Been around in Yakima since 1948! Huge array of burgers the size of your hand (HUGE, my husband and I could've split 1 burger), fries, shakes, salads, sandwiches, etc. I got the original big burger, he got the double burger, we both couldn't finish ours. We also got a small fries which was equivalent to a large fries from mcDs. And we each got shakes. About $40, but worth the portions!! Inside is huge and well organized, lots of seating, and outside has a beautiful grass outdoor eating area. Large line inside so this place must be the spot when driving thru Yakima. Will definitely be coming back!!
google avatar

Jessica W.

Yelp
Best burger I've had in a long time... drove through Yakima from Portland on the way to Kelowna and wow - this was amazing! My husband and I are foodies and I can't imagine why this place isn't 5 stars! Just make sure if you want the works you order the Miner's burger - and honestly you could probably split it. It's huge!!! Also, if you have a pup or kids with you, the shaded owned picnic table park is immaculate. Enjoy!
google avatar

Miranda B.

Yelp
It's been years since I've had Miners. Decided to stop while we were in town. Definitely not the same place I grew up frequenting. Sad to see the food quality has gone way down and prices have gone way up.
google avatar

Craig F.

Yelp
I think everyone knows about this place. A good size establishment near the Valley Mall. This indeed a burger place and they do have options including sub sandwiches. The milkshakes and sundaes are large as the burgers. Considering the volume of food they produce it is done pretty quick. The inside dining area is very large and there is an outside area with tables as well as a drive thru. The part that everyone might not know is there is a special area in back for coaches. If you are a coach you get a free meal for every 5 athletes. And i mean, meal. Coaches get drinks, milkshakes, any items on the menu and even sundaes. The staff also brings baskets of a fries, curly fries and tots as an appetizer. The staff continously takes the coaches during the meal for any refills. If you are a coach, this is a place to visit.
google avatar

Mindi J.

Yelp
Food is amazing and big portions. The restaurant is clean. The female that took my order was definitely not happy to be there and was rather rude. Different staff in lobby cleaning and bringing out food where very friendly and polite.
google avatar

Angela D.

Yelp
It's been 10+ years since I've been to Miner's, and as luck and necessity would have it, I found myself coming along Hwy 82 at lunchtime! So we stopped! My partner hadn't had the pleasure of a Big Miner's, so I ordered for us. Big Miner's with cheese, onion rings to share, and a couple if fresh strawberry shakes. So, Freaking.Good. All of it...even the fry sauce! Loved it. Try it! You really must.
google avatar

Steve H.

Yelp
Drive thru setup really sucks. Super expensive, and somewhat bland food. I don't know too many locals who eat here regularly. For whatever reason a lot of out of town folks like it.
google avatar

Sarah Y.

Yelp
Everyone will tell you to go to Miners if you're in Yakima and it was great once. But something has changed in the past couple of years and they're now just expensive hot garbage. I don't know if the owners are new or if they have a different supplier or maybe the recipe is new, but it's not like it used to be. Try Majors instead if you want a good burger. You know cuts have been made when they no longer carry Mountain Dew and now have the cheap stuff. So you get lousy quality and higher prices, it feels pretty backward.
google avatar

Therese A.

Yelp
What a burger! Great BIG burger at Miners! They had the best onion rings I've ever had as well. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal! Loved the picnic tables outside as well - what a treat to truly picnic! This is a Yakima area institution so it's not to miss! Don't forget to have a milkshake!
google avatar

Lisa D.

Yelp
What a place! We visited twice during our overnight in Yakima. A bit pricey for fast food, but you get your monies worth here; just make sure you're hungry. My partner proclaimed their Chicken Cobb Salad Sandwich to be in his Top 5 Chicken Sandwiches he's ever had. Loved it so much he got it again in the second visit. Their burger and curly fries are MASSIVE! Wish we had room for their shakes. Really cool historic photos and native beadwork on display. Plenty of seating, a bunch of dipping sauces to choose from, and multiple fountain drink machines. The prices are my only complaint. Our first visit was $19 and it only consisted of a sandwich and small fountain drink!! The second visit was a sandwich, cheeseburger and curly fries for $31.

Marco R.

Yelp
I have always loved miners, a nostalgic family friendly good old fashioned American burger joint. Yet what is heartbreaking is the lack of effort and care the people taking your order give. You walk in and they are waiting for you with a notepad and pencil with a look on their faces as if to tell you "i hate that you're here so just tell me what it is that you want so i can continue standing here doing nothing". As well as mediocre gigantic burgers and fries thrown together with tons of bread and no care. Miners used to be somewhere that was a treat to go to, an exciting place that was an enjoyable experience. A homelike culture and nostalgia. And now it is simply disappointing and expensive. I hope they are able to prosper and rise to the establishment that they could be, anyone in Yakima that has visited before can attest.

Isabella L.

Yelp
The food was so greasy I felt so sick after taking two bites. The service was bad, the lady in the photo laughed at my face when I had asked a question like if I was stupid. The prices were ridiculous for it to just taste like grease.
google avatar

Dale S.

Yelp
The seating area is gear. Super friendly place. BE WARNED!!! The portions are HUGE!!! One meal could feed 2 to 3 children. Didn't take much to get to $50 for dinner with way more food than we can eat.
google avatar

Patty K.

Yelp
We stopped here on our way back from a trip to Coulee City. We were told this is a must stop when going through Yakima. First off, there is plenty of parking and will accommodate an RV which is what we were worried about. The restaurant was almost empty, probably because it was nine in the morning and this is a burger joint. The person at the counter was friendly and accommodating. We ordered two deluxe cheeseburgers ($11 each) with tomatoes added and two small fries ($5.55) The food came out quicker than I expected since there is a sign stating food is made to order and may take awhile. The burger and fries were huge! Way too much food for the two of us. The burger was delicious with just enough onion, tomato, lettuce and mayo to bring it to perfection. The fries were hot, crisp and served with fry sauce. Bonus! We only ate about 2/3 of our burgers because they were so big, and only one order of the fries. The small fry could have easily fed three people with leftovers. We also could have easily split the burger. We for sure ate too much:) We ate in the little park outside which is only available to customers. The one thing that is notable to mention, was how clean this area was. The picnic area has beautiful green grass surrounding immaculately cleaned and painted picnic tables. I also used the restroom and it was super clean as was the entire restaurant. For a restaurant that has been serving food since 1948, this place has been well taken care of. Very impressed with the food and customer service at this well maintained restaurant. A must stop indeed.
google avatar

Jenn A.

Yelp
Wow! I wish I would have listened to the yelp reviews when ordering here. Definitely plan on sharing a burger with someone, even if you are starving! Me and my husband could have both shared a burger and fries and would have been enough! Portions are VERY large. Burger itself was delicious, and curly fries were fun. Peppermint milkshake was a fun flavor and would get again. Wait was long, but definitely worth it! I reccomend going through the drive through if the line is long inside and eating outside.
google avatar

Austin W.

Yelp
An Oasis in the mall parking lot. I stopped off on a road trip back to Seattle. This is a true piece of classic Americana along the road. The food is massive, the burger was the size of my head and the sundae could easily feed a family. They have tons of seating, a really nice outdoor green area with grass and trees and picnic tables. There is an arcade inside for kids. The drive thru was super fast but the outdoor area was so charming we had to stop and eat there. Everyone was very friendly and everything was very clean. In the shadow of the mall and the desert it was a true oasis and I will definitely be stopping in anytime I'm headed through.
google avatar

Melissa M.

Yelp
When I was in high school, any time a bus passed through Union Gap, we had to stop for a burger! Now, as an adult, I can recommend the deluxe with cheese, fries and a cherry shake. Delicious! And plenty of parking for non-buses, clean tables, restrooms.
google avatar

Ron J.

Yelp
Burgers are large enough to feed two people with a meager appetite, service is quick. Place is clean

Yelp
Miner's Drive-In in Yakima, Washington, is nothing short of mind-blowing! This isn't just a restaurant--it's a food pilgrimage, an epic journey for your taste buds! From the second your car rolls into that iconic parking lot, you know something extraordinary is about to happen. Your life is about to be divided into two eras: before Miner's and after Miner's. The burgers? Oh my GOODNESS! They're not just big--they're colossal, juicy masterpieces that are grilled to absolute perfection. Every bite is an explosion of flavor that will leave you wondering if Miner's has discovered the secret to burger nirvana. Forget about finding anything else like this--these burgers stand alone at the top of the food chain, unmatched and unbelievable. Now let's dive into the fries: crispy, golden, and so delicious that they'll probably ruin all other fries for you. Paired with those massive burgers, they're the ultimate sidekick. And then there are the milkshakes. Don't even get me started--thick, creamy, overflowing with flavor--each one is a dessert dream come true. There is an actual slice of pumpkin pie in the pumpkin pie milkshake!!They're practically a meal all on their own, but you won't be able to resist ordering one (or two!). The food was beyond Michelin star quality--every bite felt like pure gourmet perfection! After indulging in a meal here, you'll be so satisfied, you won't even think about eating for the rest of the day. It's that incredible!
google avatar

Tony E.

Yelp
As good as advertised huge burgers and very well kept place to sit and eat. Friendly staff and very helpful with suggestions as it was our first time there.
google avatar

Lindsay M.

Yelp
I love this place for the food, the memories, the seating, and the incredible service. I went here as an athlete coming back from sports, a coach with my athletes, and now as a parent. The burgers are huge and tasty. The selection of sauces and drinks does not disappoint.
google avatar

Troy M.

Yelp
Went in bought a burger got back to Motel no meat! Went back with the burger forgot the bag the fries tried to refuse a refund finally relented and gave me a refund for just the burger. Fries are useless and cold This place continues to have the worst business practices and I would advise anyone to go elsewhere They don't care about customers
google avatar

Suzee B.

Yelp
The best thing I can tell you about this place is to go extremely hungry! Burgers are humongous and very juicy...very good! Shakes and fries are as good as I've had elsewhere. It's a fun place to eat.
google avatar

Scott G.

Yelp
Awesome milkshakes and great burgers!! Open late as well... fried halibut pretty good as well wish they offered it grilled!
google avatar

Amanda N.

Yelp
Food is great and decently priced. The drinks however are $4.45 a cup, so maybe bring a beverage or plan on sharing. Burger was great, halibut and chips had no complaints, and being Alaskan, I'm picky with halibut.

Mike F.

Yelp
I was going to Miners way back when they did not have indoor seating. Just an order window. There was an orchard just East of them where the mall is now. I loved their food back then. The last couple of times I went there the burgers were about 1/2 the size of the old ones. Very thin. And the prices went up. Back in the day Michael Miner was walking around pointing his finger at what needs to be done. Food was awesome back then. Now it's kind of like any burger joint. Nothing special.
google avatar

Anthony L.

Yelp
Food was good and you shouldn't go home hungry after a meal at this place! I'm a large guy and the Miner burger was bigger than my hand. Go here!
google avatar

Phil Y.

Yelp
We stopped at Miner's Drive in while driving from Bend, OR to Wanatchee, WA as I did not feel like stopping at McDonald's down the street. Miner's is a Yakima institution. Early photos of them look like they used to be called Miner's In N Out. They've been around since around 1948. They were a little busy when I went in to order. I ordered a Big Miner Burger, a cheeseburger and a fish burger. They were slow. I don't think that they have very many wannabe health conscious customers who want a fish burger because the fish burger took forever to cook. The employee kept on telling me that they were working on my order. But, it should not have taken that long as everyone before me and a lot of the customers that came in after me got their food before I did. The burgers were pretty good. My Miner burger was so big that it almost filled up my Dixie 10 1/16th paper plate from Costco. The burger came with lettuce, pickles and onions on a huge burger bun. Cheese was the only difference between my Miner burger and my daughter's cheese burger. My wife did not like her fish burger. The burgers were good. Their slowness was inexcusable. The fish burger was bad. When you go to a greasy burger place, get the greasy burger, not the healthy fish burger. Getting a greasy hamburger will be a lot faster than getting a fish and probably a chicken burger.

Jeff D.

Yelp
The decor was dated for this historical eatery. The service was quick and the delivery to our table was somewhat disjointed. We received our food first and then about ten minutes later our drinks, not sure why they we not served at the same time? The hamburgers were excellent and worth the price, but the fries and other item were priced separately. All in all a great experience, I would highly recommend. I will probably visit again on my next trip to Yakima.
google avatar

Clayton J.

Yelp
Years ago, I had a life changing meal here. It was without a doubt the best burger of my lifetime That was decades ago. On my last two trips to Yakima I chose the Tamale spot down the road and Arctic Circle instead. I felt overdue, so I made sure to return to the mine. The place was beyond busy, but I have to say, the reviews are not glowing. I spent $25 for a burger, small fries and small drink. That is way to much for fast food and way to much for a town most wouldn't pull off the freeway for. The burger this time was average at best. The fries get a 10 and $5 for a small drink is criminal. This place is like The Soprano's. Everyone loves it, but nobody knows why. I will no longer be recommending this place.
google avatar

Sherriy H.

Yelp
Stopped in here today on our way to Seattle. Hubs and I each ordered a burger. And 1 fry and 1 tot. Omg! There was so much fries. And those burgers! Woa! Next time we are going to share one. Neither of us finished ours. We sassy outside in the grassy area, which was nice. I feed the tiny birds some fries, tots and bun. They loved it. The lady that took our order was really nice, and the girl that delivered it was very friendly as well. We will come back.
google avatar

Jessica ..

Yelp
Pretty good food. If you order a burger, come very hungry or bring a friend to share! They're big! Me and my friend split a cheeseburger and some fries and couldn't eat the fries because we got so full! I'd come back for sure. A quick stop on a road trip was well worth it

Melinna L.

Yelp
Staff is awful. Employers are horrid. Food is cold always. Not flavorful. Layout is cool but the smell is not great in there.
google avatar

Kaitlin K.

Yelp
Miners used to be our go to for stopping after games. I have to say over the years they definitely have gone down hill. The simple tries for "upgrades" to the business that seem to have sporadically happened over the past couple decades, continue to fall short. The poor service has remained consistent though. It is almost never clean in there. Quality of food and the prices are also big disappointment. Gave it 2 starts for nostalgic reasons, miss the way it used to be.
google avatar

Haley K.

Yelp
Great good, good service, but pricey for fast food. $50+ for three people- two milk shakes, two burgers, two fries. Banana cream pie shake was incredible!
google avatar

Joshua C.

Yelp
Bro never in my life have seen something like it was like equal to the mondo burger from the good burger movie. So the term bigger is no substitute for quality is exactly what this place needs to learn. I ordered a double bacon burger chili cheese fries and a big Oreo cookie shake. The burger was massive hence the term mondo burger Lack flavor seasoning and really lacked any personality or character just bland and tasteless the only thing that tasted good was the big thick cuts of bacon. The chili cheese fries was a shock I've never seen it go so badly it looked like something from 711 or your county jail it was absolutely disgusting and honestly I thru the whole thing in the trash after 3 bites I just couldn't stand eating something made so cheap and disgusting. The milkshake tasted really good however lacked any real Oreo chunks I expect to see from a Oreo shake but they did use real ice cream from which was good. Overall experience crap and really felt like a mondo burger and I won't be back it's just not worth the price and the food is huge portions of crap.

Yelp
My son and I were in town for sports and visited this staple of Yakima cuisine. We ordered two burgers, a side of tots, a medium drink, a medium milk shake and a bowl of chili. It cost $65 dollars, took 45 mins to be served and was cold when served. The chili was cold. The burger was so cold that the cheese didn't even melt. I ordered no onion and the burger came with two large slabs of white onion almost larger than the burger. The restaurant was sweltering and muggy and the tables were dirty and sticky. The restroom was horrid, smelled like urine and the floors wet. The elderly lady taking orders was cold and in welcoming. Also, why have hanging plastic? Covid is over and you can hear the order thru the plastic. If you're going to charge $15 for a burger the service and environment better reflect the cost. Only would return as it's a childhood memory type of place. Unfortunately like many things it's not what it used to be.

Yelp
This restaurant is on its last leg. The older woman who took our order was rude. Seriously rude. Rude as in you should fire her. $4 for a SMALL drink. 2 burgers, 1 chili cheese fries, 1 fry, 3 SMALL drinks: $60!!!! Wtf. Save your money. The restaurant is EMPTY for a reason.

Yelp
When I was told that you can't eat this cheeseburger alone I thought it was a joke. Almost the size of my face! We ordered one to share and fries. They offered to cut in half so this must be a common ask. Simple burger, done well. The fries were perfectly seasoned. The fry sauce is a bit tangier than I'm used to, but may be the way to go from now on. Enjoyed the inside dining area, lots of tables as I'm sure this place fills up especially in the summer.
