Stopped by for a quick lunch and a couple of drinks and sat at the bar as the place was not too busy on a mid week afternoon. Service was average but the lunch special of half a Panini and cup of soup was excellent for $10 . Rarely do I not enjoy my beer but I definitely ordered the wrong one this time. It was described as a light Pilsner but tasted more like a sour flavoured beer.

Tucked away down a quiet, hidden alley, this charming bar feels like a secret waiting to be discovered. Offers a cozy, lived-in feel—perfect for those who want to escape the usual hustle and bustle of the main strip. This hidden gem offers a laid-back yet inviting vibe with the right balance of decent food, good drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere.

This place was pretty good, except the Slaw, the slaw was a bit flavorless. The Pickle Shot was amazing! The Candied Bacon, wasn't bad, but I've had better. The wrap, I got the Bahn Mi, the sausage was delicious and the wrap was very flavorful.

Delicious food and late night drinks. Highly recommend, great atmosphere theme. Will visit again

Staff is great, place has good vibes. Always a crispy banquet on a hot day. Not stoked on the vegan situation. Ordered the vegan tomato soup which had a full quarter size piece of meat in it that I chewed. Stomach is definitely bubble gut. The server apologized, hooked it up with a free meal and gave everyone a free drink at the table. They told me they were remaking the soup for anyone that came in after me. They took it seriously and said it wasn’t cool so I appreciate that. Now to just suffer for the next 24 hrs as my body deals with it.

Excellent service, food and atmosphere laid back atmosphere! Great place to get away from the busy tourist area!

I had planned to host my wedding after-party at the Miners Saloon and had coordinated with the staff in advance to ensure they could accommodate our large group and keep the bar open late for us. However, when we arrived, we were informed that the bar would be closing at its regular time and refused to adhere to the previously agreed upon plan. This was incredibly disappointing and showed a lack of communication from the staff. I had been looking forward to celebrating my special night there, but instead, the experience was a major letdown.

One of my favorite places to have lunch in Golden. The $10 lunch specials are great. Draft Coors $4.50. Cool atmosphere nestled in Miners Alley. If you’re in town give Miners Saloon a try!

Yelp
We came in here late night for a Bachelorette and it was the only thing really open. We were able to snag a dip trio which was fantastic, and a perfect snack to end the night. We had a couple drinks and they were all made super well. The bartenders knew our party was there for a bachelorette so they came over and told us last call to grab our night cap which was appreciated. Chill atmosphere, clean bathrooms, from what we had good food and drink. Perfect spot.

Yelp
Great little western saloon for a simple dinner 5.0 - Green Chili 4.0 - Margarita 4.0 - Decent draft beer selection 4.0 - French Dip 4.0 - Pretzel bites (didn't like sauce) 4.5 - Atmosphere - cozy little outdoor patio 5.0 - Service

Yelp
Great food , service and location . Cool interior with outdoor seating and indoor Louging. Veggie dishes are great and so are the sausages/ bratwurst . Beer selection is awesome and staff is attentive, knowledgeable and present. Bathrooms offer hand towels although wood has been damaged due to water and needs updating/replacing. Nice casual place to eat and drink. Overlooks a parking lot which is only reason for not getting 5 stars.

Jeremy K.

Yelp
Such great service and friendly bartenders. We've been in a few times and they always make us feel welcome.

Cassie C.

Yelp
We were staying at an Airbnb in the area and decided to stop in late one night. They were pretty busy but service was great! We decided to share the grilled cheese and the wild game chili. Both were delicious! It is a little loud in there but we opted to sit in the back room which was really cozy. We would definitely come back! If you're in the area, be sure to add it to your list!

Josh H.

Yelp
Great saloon, comfortable atmosphere, good beer list, and a great bartender with lots of ideas for mixed drinks. Margs on tap house made. Food was very good. I'll be back

Yelp
Have visited twice, sat at the bar both times. The first time it took forever for the bartender to even look our way, and there was barely anyone at the bar. The male bartender was too busy talking to the guy at the end of the bar. When he did finally acknowledge our existence, I asked about a drink only to be talked down to in regards to my question. He didn't even suggest a different drink, he was just incredibly rude and condescending. I was so put off by the situation that I can't remember if I actually enjoyed the drink, or if we got/enjoyed any food. The second time we stopped in was this past Sunday. It was fairly busy, and there were quite a few people at the bar. Same male bartender, same disregard. We weren't even given a menu. The bartenders were too busy talking to each other to take any notice of us at all. We sat there for maybe 10 minutes (being totally ignored), then decided to take our patronage elsewhere. There's too many really decent places in Golden to be treated like this... Especially for no reason at all. We won't be walking into this establishment again. Two bad experiences is more than enough!!

Yelp
We were going to go to another place at first. This place popped up and my wife wanted to go. It's easy to pass it up since it's in a alley way. We stopped and were seated quickly. The place was crowded. Bathrooms are unisex and two only which get filled quickly and can take some time. They had a bacon old fashioned which was amazing. I also had a bourbon nest from a local place in the area. The food was good. I had a salad which was incredible. The atmosphere here is really neat. Your in a gold mine town, this place fits the location a lot. I was very impressed and happy we came here. Service was top notch.

Yelp
I decided to check out Golden Co while on vacation in Denver. Miners Saloon was a causal and fun dining experience. My wife and I shared the charcuterie board and had a few drinks while we were there. The beer list had a lot of local beers and they offered an expansive menu on cocktails. The service was great and quick. The restaurant itself had a good layout and looked great!

Ann M.

Yelp
It's amazing how a rude bartender can ruin an outing. We had a similar negative service experience as another yelp reviewer (Jessica H.), but with a female bartender. My husband and I really did not appreciate being treated so poorly as customers. We will never be back.

Beate B.

Yelp
Food is great but the drinks....soooo good! May have found my new favorite whiskey sour around made with fresh egg whites

John P.

Yelp
Amazing place!! Great lunch special. Gorgeous decor. I feel like I stepped back 100 years and walked into a genuine saloon. The tomato soup was delicious, tasted kind of like pasta sauce, very little cream, but it was great with my wife's grilled cheese. The roast beef Au jus was sooooooo good!! My wife's grilled cheese was, I believe, the best one I have ever tasted!! It had three different types of cheeses. Excellent beer and liquor available!!

R R.

Yelp
It's a fun place, the servers were very friendly. They have a huge beer list and the food was great !

Marc C.

Yelp
It's a fun place the bartender was good and friendly the food was just okay. I got a Chili cheese dog that was okay but would not get it again my friends had sandwiches that were good

Stefanie C.

Yelp
3.5 stars. My partner and I came here and found parking in a small lot nearby. We walked over, and it really did feel like we were entering a saloon. Didn't get to see the indoors because we found a table out front. It took some time to wander around and figure out how table service worked. Staff members were a bit dismissive, but great that they keep busy! The reason I rounded up to 4 stars was for the food. I'll try anything that's akin to a hot dog only twice per year (generally don't like them) and thought the Chili Gourmet Dog (with wild game chili & Welsh white cheddar) was the perfect foray back into this type of cuisine. I actually really enjoyed it, especially alongside the coleslaw and pickle. Love the wide selection of beer and the neighboring whiskey bar. This was actually my first trip to Golden. Coming from a ton of big cities, I think I'm just not accustomed to the small town vibe. But you can't argue with the views. They're absolutely beautiful here, which is a main reason to sit outside. While the rest of the menu wasn't appealing, I'd come here again for the same combo of Gourmet Dog and IPA!

Jenn O.

Yelp
Food was great here. I had the wild game chili and pretzel bites. The atmosphere is get Colorado The menu suggests asking the bartender for a special based on your liquor preference. It did not disappoint!

Lesley F.

Yelp
I was impressed by the reviews so stopped in on a lazy Friday afternoon while killing some time before heading to Red Rocks for the evening for a concert. Their liquor selection is impressive, but didn't have some basic rum based mixers. I had the bison brat. It was SUPER dry and rough and really lacked flavor. I had the green chili for the side...that was one of the most delicious things I've ever had. My partner had the French dip. It was fine. It seemed a little bland honestly. The restaurant itself was very "on theme" with the decor. The outdoor space looks into a parking lot? That seemed weird. It was fine to kill a little time and the food was okay, but I would probably try someplace else if I were back in Golden.

Luke H.

Yelp
Honestly, I've been in before and have a lot of respect for the establishment, but the bartender today was absurd. I saw her scream at a pregnant lady today for no reason, and then 10 minutes later kick out a guy who had the nerve to ask for a drink. I do want to shoutout the other bartender, who basically ran the entire bar while the other woman had multiple vent sessions with customers and would disappear. Again, I love the bar usually, but she was genuinely acting like she was on drugs. Bar would have been run smoother without her there at all.

Vidya S.

Yelp
We stopped at Miners Saloon for a drink and a quick appetizer. We got the veggie wrap with a side of Kale and lentil salad and some mixed drinks. The drinks were on point, the wrap was delicious and very light, but the surprise element was the side salad! We picked it just to get some more veggies, but the kale combined with the pickled onions and the dressing was really tasty. The bartender was also quite friendly and very helpful. Definitely recommend stopping by here if you are in Golden!

Wendy M.

Yelp
Love this place. We don't go often but when we do, it's always a treat. Craft cocktails, a cool vibe with a not so obvious entrance which makes it super fun and knowledgable, friendly staff to help ya out when ordering. It's never too busy, easy going and mellow. Perfect for a weekend afternoon.

Sara T.

Yelp
Awesome interior/vibe/ambiance, good service and good food. If you are visiting the area, you can not find a more unique and fitting place to represent Golden! This Saloon will make you feel like you stepped back in time! The decor is amazing. There is an outdoor dog friendly patio, and a cool cozy room in the back with a fireplace. They have so many options here to enjoy the space, bar seating, high top tables in the bar, outdoor seating, bench seating, low tables, couches and comfy chairs by the fire. The menu is not large but what they do have is good. It's not amazing but, it's good. I ordered the grilled cheese and wild game chili. My mom is here visiting and she ordered the French dip panini which was very good! We also ordered the ricotta dip but, I wasn't really a fan. We came here for lunch but, I think this place would be better to come to at night to get drinks. They have a huge selection of bourbon and scotch. It's very moody and kind of dark inside so, it would be a great date spot.

J Warren R.

Yelp
Bar review only. The place can be busy and loud, with a good drink menu, friendly, attentive waitstaff. Popped in for a cocktail before a meal and found a lively place with live entertainment. Appeared to be a mostly after work crowd of regulars probably. Cocktails and wine were reasonably priced and done right.

Yelp
We've now had our third big party in Miners Saloon sister bar the Brick Room, which is connected to Miners by a hallway and faces Washington Street. As always, it was a great time. Brick Room is such a great space with the usual bar high tables and chairs and roomy bar seating, but also several big comfy leather sofas you can really relax in and hang out. New just recently, they've opened up the front, removed those big dark glass windows and replaced them with garage doors and a seats and a bar surface facing the street. That is going to be a popular hangout! Anyway, great food supplied by Miners, and Spencer and Jeff were great (and very fun and patient..) hosts and servers. The crowd got pretty large and noisy and - we had a great time!! Great sports bar too with 7 televisions including one big screen, NFL Redzone and all the necessary sports channels for football, hockey, soccer, basketball and more. Kind of a limited draft beer selection so Miners with about 30 drafts will remain my go-to bar but if you're a sports fan and/or need some party space, check out the Brick Room. (pizza, chips and other snacks there also)

Robin B.

Yelp
This place is pretty much my new hideout and you can't beat their lunch $10 special. Half a panini with a bowl of tomato soup. Delish! I picked the Turkey Melt and it was one of the best I've had in sometime. Hot, grilled to perfection with melty cheese dunked in steamy hot tomato soup... geeze, I need to go get another one right now just thinking about it. They also have a Daily HH Daily 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm with $1.00 off draft beer and cocktails and $2.00 off wine. They do have a good sized section for outdoor seating but since it's starting to get cold and snow, I'm not sure how much longer that will be available. Pro Tip: If you have a larger party you can call ahead and reserve the back room.

Paul S.

Yelp
Two words to describe this joint Fantastic- - fantastic !! Off the main drag Out of this planet hot dog with chili Will be back from boulder I snuck a view of an incredible scotch selection too!!

Andrew A.

Yelp
The Chicago Dog. Great sausage, homemade relish. Also side of Elk Chili. Cold beer. Friendly bartender.

Molly L.

Yelp
We split bruschetta, a French dip sandwich & the game chili. Wow we were so surprised, everything was so good! Even the coleslaw was amazing

Sally O.

Yelp
RUDE RUDE RUDE customer service! The male bartender/ waiter is extremely condescending!

Leah L.

Yelp
My husband and I went into the Miners Saloon Brick Room for a couple of drinks. We were visiting the area overnight. The bartender should have held a sign saying, "Please leave" - that's how unwelcoming and rude he was. He was more concerned with some friends seated at the bar down from us. He handed us our check (which we hadn't asked for) and told us they were closing. Just then, another couple came in, ordered drinks, got their drinks then asked for change to play pool but the bartender told them that the pool table was broken, which I highly doubt. He never told the other couple that they were closing... but he wasn't friendly to them either. Looked to me like he was trying to get customers out so he could hang with his friends or close the bar early, not sure. Either way this place has terrible service and a BAD VIBE. I do not recommend.

Scotty P.

Yelp
Amazing view. Amazing food, especially the German plate, fantastic beer. Great vibe and tucked away location back in the alley off the beaten path. Great place for a snack and beers.

Emily O.

Yelp
We came for lunch with my 2 year old- this is not a family friendly place. Food is expensive for not much and the service was slo.ow. Super cool ambiance and might be really fun for another event or purpose but for us it was a bust.

Scott C.

Yelp
Woman bartender should not be in the service industry, felt like I was interrupting g her conversation trying to get a menu and order a drink,

Michael H.

Yelp
Newish place that's off the main drag if you know what I mean. Sometimes that Main St. just gets a little overwhelming... this joint is more chill! Walking in... nice dark bar surrounded by tables... there's a small *Speakeasy* room in the back...... they played great music. We we're all pleasantly surprised as all the food was really good! We tried a great Charcuterie Board, some sausages, chopped salad & green chili. They also have an extensive Beer List and also a great Cocktail List!! Prices were pretty average & service was good. Wasn't too busy when we were there but I would imagine it gets pretty busy at night. Good spot with good food/ Talk Later

Alexa G.

Yelp
I've been here twice now and always have a great experience. The menu doesn't have too many options but every time I've gone we've all enjoyed our meals. The saloon itself is great and you feel like you're back in history at a real saloon.

Jason K.

Yelp
I give 3 stars but the food should be 4. We had the charcuterie....the big one and it was great. But as many of you know that follow me I also own a restaurant. And what drove me batty was the gathering of the staff at the corner of the bar. I think my waitress is dating one of the bartenders and good for you. But when you come to work you kick ass and give great customer service. I actually had to walk to the bar and ask for salt and pepper and break the happy couple up for a moment. And btw it's not just them. All 4 staff members gathered there several times. If I'm the boss....this wouldn't sit well. At the end of the day we like the joint. And we.will be back. Hopefully the next time the staff can wait until after hours to solve the world's problems.

Andy G.

Yelp
All of it was just okay. The best part is the view!! It's absolutely stunning! The food was decent. The bathrooms were nice! Service was just okay. (Hoping it would have been better given that we were the only ones eating in at the time...)

Ned H.

Yelp
Great drinks and attentive waitstaff. Went here on a date, and it didn't disappoint. The vegetable plate was loaded with yummy fresh veggies and very good hummus and pesto. The bruschetta was also delightful! Nice balance of pesto and ricotta along with those fresh veggies! Yummm! The grilled cheese was a bit lacking, however. The toast was absolutely perfect, but it was supposed to have cheddar, Wisconsin cheese curds, and pimento cheese and bacon. That sounded incredible to my date from Wisconsin. The cheese was very lacking, though. We opened it up, and we had mostly bread and bacon with a super thin layer of cheddar and maybe some pimento, didn't see and cheese curds. We both live a good grilled cheese and expected to have it stretching out after every bite, but alas, no such luck. I'll definitely be back, but no grilled cheese. I'll play the pinball machine next time, however!

C B.

Yelp
Down the alley, maybe hard to find, great place! The brat was great and Herman Joseph's was AMAZING! Worth it!

Natalie A.

Yelp
Brought a large group of gal pals here on a weekday night and the ambiance was perfect. Had a cowboy playing guitar in one corner, a fire in another, and an array of great ciders and beers in our hands. Food selection was surprisingly ample, enough to satisfy both the meat eaters and vegetarians in the group. Looking for a cozy spot after a ski day? Look no further.

STEVE B.

Yelp
The canary is always singing at the historic Miners Saloon. :) A beautiful long bar and old miners town decor with beautiful Colorado paintings on the wall. Check in with muh-girl Ash at the bar. She's a true cocktail artesian and libation aficionado with a great understanding of single-malts and whiskeys. Great visit.

Deb M.

Yelp
I cannot recommend this place enough! First of all, we sat at the bar today and it was extremely busy! Our server, Casey was above and beyond with service and friendliness. She was always looking around to see who needed anything! This gal should get a raise. The food was different and spectacular. Something for everyone. Pickles were over the top good! I love a good pickle. They had a veggie dish that looked great...everything was well thought out. Beer, wine and spirits...we will definitely return. So nice to go to a place that has it all going on.

Michele M.

Yelp
Specifically came here because of the charcuterie board on their website. They now have a very limited menu. Getting frustrated with restaurants who don't keep their websites up to date.

Jesse K.

Yelp
Miners Saloon has the full recipe to make it onto my top bars! It has a divey and vintage feel full of neat decor, including some authentic antiques, and offers a great cocktail menu, quality tap list with multiple rotators, and nice section of wines. Head to the back and you'll find a cozy private room with a TV and Golden Tee golf game. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will be back!

Leah K.

Yelp
Had our rehearsal dinner here. I didn't realize they shut the place down for us, but it had a really cozy feel and for our group great. Food was good and the team working there was excellent. Impressive selection of bourbon as well!

Skip Z.

Yelp
Male bartender told us we could not use MIO water enhancer in our drink. We use it all the time time but I think his beanie was too tight making him uptight. He lost a lot of our business for the night.

Abhinav K.

Yelp
Great place to try out if you visit Golden. I love the elk, duck and the boar sausage on the menu. Service is pretty good too.

JoAnn H.

Yelp
Nice little saloon with a light fare menu. Bartender pours a good drink. Several IPA's on tap made hubby happy. He had a hotdogs and chips. The pickles are fabulous. Only complaint. Bathrooms definitely could be cleaner.

Jenna J.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I solely come here for the huckleberry lemonade. The inside is neat and I really like the sausages

Clarissa S.

Yelp
Such a cool spot awesome vibe going back today to try some of the food there. Love the people they were too friendly and view is pretty much awesome. Great place to end the day

T E.

Yelp
Stopped here on our way home from skiing so we were super hungry! Waitress was super friendly and pretty knowledgeable on menu. Of course had the Coors on tap, and it was Cold and delicious! Food was fresh and arranged nicely on trays. Good presentation of the food. My daughter had the vegetarian wrap which was chock-full of fresh veggies. My husband had a bratwurst, which looked kind of funny, but he said was just OK (a little dry). I ordered the French dip, which honestly was very, very good not at all greasy perfectly cooked! The restaurant is casual with a definite western flare! Heavy wooden tables with sturdy, comfortable stools. TV's above the bar which is always a bonus on game day. We would definitely come back again!
