Surprised eat in serve with plastic. Not sure what stuffimg in the wonton soup. It's inedible. Never

Friendly service and the food was fresh and priced accordingly. It wasn’t greasy. The wontons in the soup were a little hard. The beef a little salty, but for a place in the Ironbound, it’s ok. Chinese food seems to be much better in the nicer neighborhoods…. But if I’m craving it, and don’t want to drive, this will do.

Food is fresh and tasty - I usually get chicken and string beans and the veggies are crunchy and they make it spicy upon request

Solid Chinese takeout. The Beef with Broccoli and Chicken Chow Fun were both tasty and well-prepared. The Hot and Sour Soup was decent but not particularly sour. Had issues with the online ordering system, so you're probably better off calling in your order.

Not good, the chicken in the chicken fried rice looks and tastes like erasers ✏️ I don’t recommend. Also very dry.

We call to order 4 different plates, the person on the phone say she cant take our order on the phone because its à lot.

Ordered for delivery... a few times already. Wait time is approximately 45 minutes but the food was worth the wait. Came properly cooked, hot and the taste wasn't bad at all. The person taking the order on the phone took time to answer my questions and spoke clearly. The driver was courteous as well. A nice alternative for days when you just don't feel like cooking or just have the craving for mostly fried food 😋

Definitely in the top 3 for Chinese spots in Newark. Clean & Very friendly staff as well . Food always fresh

Just stopped in here for a quick lunch some wings and some fried rice. Nothing special special pretty basic. Wings was cooked good , Overall, pretty much average for a regular Chinese restaurant. all the tables was clean. They did have a closed off section for bigger parties. Service was good but I wasn't offered the lunch specials . I would have maybe picked a better dish if I knew about the lunch specials because I literally walked in there with $11 bucks lol... there's plenty of parking but the with that said it's pretty busy so depending on the time of day, you're more likely to find easier parking than other times. This place does have a ATM. Though they still take Apple Pay and cards... In my opinion, I would probably prefer more lighting the placing the bit dim but not bad not great but good enough for a quick lunch.

Staying at a hotel in Newark Airport and decided to order Chinese food. I ordered the special combo plate. I got the chicken with broccolini and it comes with egg roll, & pork fried rice. They changed $10.95 for the meal. $3.25 for gas and taxes $ .73, total $14.93 plus tip. I got a lot of food for that price. The egg roll was crispy but could have had more filling. The pork fried rice was good, the chicken and broccoli was okay, a little greasy. All in all for the price and convenience it was worth it. The meal came to my room within a 1/2 hour.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT!! While waiting in the dining room for take out. One of the delivery people loudly shouted to a customer on the phone "you F-ing Ni__a" as he claimed she cancelled an order. I politely asked him not to use that type of language around me as I'm African-American. He became upset and said F-you....you F...ing Ni__a!! So I get up and immediately cancelled my order and requested a refund. He kept shouting profanities, so at this point rather than lose my cool I stood for a minute to take in all that he was saying and then walked out. I told the owner I would never come to their business again and would also let others in the community know exactly what happened. I also said he should be fired on the spot. Instead ownership began fighting with the vulgar employee as well. It shows how much respect they have for the people who keep them in business. Take your money elsewhere.

Reasonably priced and tasty food we've had delivered to us. The person who took our order was extremely nice and helpful by asking if we needed sauces or anything else. (Don't get charged for "extras") Delivery guy was very upbeat and asked how we're enjoying our stay and made sure our order was correct. Delicious lobster fried rice and the hot and sour soup was perfect. Definitely will be regulars while we are enjoying our vacation

Bad service,the front guy is nasty.bad food. I ordered white meat ,but it gave me wrong stuff. Never come back.

Last time I came here I was charged for things I didn't ask for. Plus the food was disgusting. After 3 years I'm back again. They charged me for something I didn't order, plus the food is worse than before! Never again. I took one bite and threw it away

I must say this Chinese place has some of the rudest employees I've encountered in our area, they are not for the community as much as we support the business,it's unbelievable how you all charge for condiments if you ask them to put ketchup on your french fries. Cost an additional 5$ dollars if you ask for a barbecue sauce on your french fries across an additional 6$ dollars garlic for your fried plantains at least one cup should be complementary. It's an additional four dollars for one cup of crushed garlic when ordering plantins it's just unbelievable we tip well & constantly support your business. It is unacceptable.I stop ordering from this place unless it's my absolute last resort, and that is because of our limitations in business hours for area. There is no other Chinese place we charge additional fees for condiments... & if so not as much

Terrible food. I ordered the general tso chicken, white meat only. I got some slaughter dough. Very few pieces had chicken in it. The ones that did, it was literally something like the size of a pea, the rest just dough. Absolutely disgusting. I will never order from here again.

1. Chef's Spicy Stir-Fried Shrimp was so Delicious! 2. White Rice was Cooked Well and It's Tender. 3. Beef and Broccoli tasted good. Cons 1. Chicken Wings are not Big Enough for me. Ha ha 2. Fried Rice needed more Tenderness.

Ordered a large shrimp and broccoli w/the hot & spicy sauce on the side, along with a bottle soda. When my food came, my receipt said, "extra hot sauce" which I didn't ask for! And the 16oz soda was $2.25. All these restaurants are over charging their customers to recoup what they are & have lost due to covid!!!! All the times I've ordered from this place, I continue to get over charged or their getting my order totally wrong!!!! I won't be ordering from them anymore!!! I also agree with the bad attitude, dealt with that for a few years back, & stopped going there for a couple of years. Nasty, burnt food. I could not believe that they would deliver something like this. When I called to tell them they told me this is how they made it and that it. No apology just eat it. Not my first time at this restaurant but it will be my last.

The worst Chinese Restaurant in Newark. The tables were dirty and the service was poor. Soda was warm and not enough. The food in the buffet was cold.. Not enough of entrees. I have never been to a worst restaurant like this.. Cheap is as cheap gets. The bathroom had no toilet paper and no soap to wash hands. Can you imagine the people who handle your food after going to bathroom without washing their hands... ATTN NEWARK BOARD OF HEALTH. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN. Actually when you enter there is a sign that say grand reopening... This business needs to be shut down. Before somebody gets salmonella or Ptomaine food poisoning. SOS SOS.......

Ordered the sesame chicken online! Said it was breast meat! It was all dark meat! Very disappointed! Would never have ordered it! Ordered the house fried rice tho! It was very good! Had breast meat chicken in it! Thought prices were very high for the quality!

Quick good no frills American Chinese food, I recommend the shrimp with broccoli in spicy garlic sauce. Fast delivery to my hotel. Not many options in the area so hey lol

There are several Chinese food spots in the Ironbound. All you need to know is Ming Choo is the BEST. New location, same phone number! Food is great and consistent, fast delivery.

Been coming here since a kid. The Chinese food is good. Its not the best I ever had but pretty decent especially in the Ironbound section.

I call today to order a delivery the food is terrible! All the food taste old We Don't eating nothing them I call there to make a complaint and advise . the guy who's asking my call is very hude and disrespectful! Is a shame!

About 3 months ago I discovered Ming Choo. I was very happy .. but last Thursday I placed an order the food was Terrible and the guy who delivered. It was rude to the point of being. Obnoxious. I have to open the gate of my apartment to get the order. He was literally trying to throw it through the gate and shoved the bill At me to sign. .. I was going to call and complain. I knew NOTHING would have been done .. so instead I am writing this review .. # 1 the delivery was late he was rude and honestly the food was so bad I had to throw it out I was disgusted. I didn't want to cook I'd come home late I was tired .. they lost me as a customer I was very upset Ming Choo had the best Chinese food to me in Newark ., now instead I will simply bring it back with me from. NYC .. I am accustomed to great good and great service this was revolting and in acceptable !

Finally found a Chinese place that makes chicken with pineapple!!!! I'm a happy camper!! Taste just like Cali brings me back.. Ming Choo you made a great first impression on me .. Definitely will be ordering from here again...

Great price fast delivery we had the diced chicken with peppers , plantain, crab ragoon. ...we spend 4 months a year in Mainland China this is as close as it gets to ordering it in China great job...Terry

I came in for a little mid afternoon lunch and had my hopes a little too high. I used to come here for quite a few years and I never had anything horrible to say until now. The food was old and left out for a number of hours. You can tell by the crust forming on top from being not fresh. Bland. No taste. Just a bad experience from a place i used to like.

I've ordered from here quite a bit since moving from Jersey City in July. The Kung Pao Bean Curd is great. I liked the Vegetable Lo Mein, except the last time I ordered it tasted like nothing but fish sauce. I called them to tell them and the woman was VERY defensive, that it must be something else i ate???? I ordered today and the guy taking the order asked me why I said there were no vegetables in the KPBC. I told him I never said that...... Weird. The vegetable steamed dumplings are great! Delivery is fast, price is good, and as selection of delivery food in Newark is quite limited, I'll probably order again.

Should definitely have written this review a while ago! We moved to the area about a year ago from Brooklyn and desperately needed a new neighborhood takeout joint. After trying a couple of others in the area, we settled on this one. We love this place. We order from here about 1x a week and they are always consistent with super speedy delivery. The delivery driver is the sweetest guy! We love him :) Now this isn't going to the best Chinese food you'll get (I'm Chinese and grew up eating Canto food) but it's good for the price point, variety and consistency. We usually order a combination of the following: Mongolian beef: slices of beef stir-fried with loads of onions and scallions Chicken with broccoli: Chinese-American staple.. Always good. Singapore Mei Fun: thin, vermicelli rice noodles stir-fried with curry powder, shrimp, ribbons of roast pork and veggies. Fried scallops: love that takeout places here do a plain, fried (anything) on the menu. It's just thick, crunchy breaded scallops. What's not to like, right? Whatever we order, the meats/seafood are always good and veggies are fresh. Definitely our go-to Chinese takeout!

You suck the worse customer service ever the BBB should know about your business I don't even know how are you still open with so many mistakes , food sucks, customer service sucks ...Thumbs down by the way they have caller id and they ignore your phone calls, credit cards has to have a limit they charge for delivery and they still want tip ....Never again spending my money on garbage no thank you , don't go there , there is a buffet right next to them wayyyy wayyyy better go there flaming grill buffet hopefully this place will go down ....

Wow a Chinese restaurant that I have to say is one of the best that I have had in a long time. The food was delivered to the Fairfield Inn here in Newark. It was hot, the delivery guy was extremely friendly and was grateful for his tip. My food was plentiful, tasty and more importantly it was hot. This was a great choice for me.

Ming Choo...makes a most delicious Hot and Sour Soup. Try it, you will love it. They always deliver, in a very short time. I love all their shrimp dishes, and their Beef and Broccoli is also, very good. They are very friendly and courteous.. I still have to try all their Szechuan entrees, but as I said, do try their Hot and Sour Soup! IT IS SOoooo Good. Carol H.

Worst chinese food in Ironbound. Their steam dumpling tasted like a dog food.

I came here yesterday to get some food (obviously). The food that I got I wasn't satisfied with so I barely ate it. The food was expensive for no reason it wasn't good. I called earlier to see what they could do about the fact I spent some money on food I didn't eat. The first boy didn't know what to say so he put someone else so rude to speak to me. He told me the policy on food is that once you buy it you can't exchange or return(obviously) or get refunded. I replied "okay". Before he hung the phone up he called me a "bitch". So uncalled for and disrespectful. No phone manners or people who need to be running a business.

Food is overpriced and occasionally good their customer service is horrible very rude to customers who are requiring delivery. The drivers are rude and expect for you to round the price up for example a delivery that's $18.85 the driver demands $19.00 . If you call to complain they'll say well you don't have to pay it . That's exactly what you want to hear when you're being disrespected about something you've paid for . I will travel further to receive positive feedback from the employees.
