Mingo's Latin Kitchen

We visited Mingo’s for the first time today, and had a great experience! The restaurant itself is small, but has a great atmosphere with some really neat murals on the walls. We tried the rice bowl with pork belly, the brussels sprouts, and the loaded fries with brisket. Everything was delicious! I especially liked the mango pico and Mingo’s sauce on the bowl. The brussels sprouts were incredible as well. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend Mingo’s to anyone in the area!

You have got to try this place. I was blown away by this Latin spot. I had the brisket empanada, The meat was so tender not only was it moist but it was seasoned . The way the five different cheeses blended together was astonishing. This is definitely one you will want to try when you go there. The shell of it was buttery and flaky with a slight crunch, It was fried perfect, This was also my very first time having an empanada.

Everything is great here. This place is a definite hidden gem. The flavors are so well layered and the attention to detail on each dish is 🔥. If you make it for brunch, I would recommend the Concha French Toast. The service was great and they even gave us a complimentary Elote since it was our first time.

Mingo's Latain Kitchen is amazing. I had a rice bowl with pork, my wife had one with chicken. Both were delicious. The empanadas are great as well. Service is great and the restaurant was clean. Music also fits the atmosphere of the restaurant. It has that Miami feel to it. Try it out, you won't regret it.

A great surprise find. Menu is compact with a mixture of choices. The service was friendly. Chicken and Waffles, no wait for it . . . Pork Belly Taco, We tried the Shrimp Ceviche, very delicious with flowers. Brisket Tacos also tasty. Crunchy flour tortilla chips.

Great food! Great music! Great service! We got the brisket empanadas, and they were delicious! I love that it's not an overwhelming amount of food, but it's just enough if not more than enough to fill the spot. We also had the elote, and i loved the tanginess the tajin on top added.

Music was jamming. First impression was clean and fresh with all the natural light. Didn't feel hot even with 102° outside. I felt cool. Cashier was nice. Food had a great flavor. Corn was complimentary and was good since this was my first time here. I would come back.

Food and Customer Service was on point! Tried the Chipotle Brussel Sprouts, Brisket Papas with a Fried Egg and Oso Bueno Fried Shrimp Taco. Sooooooo good! Mingo’s is a must try!

Stopped in here last Friday after seeing one of their posts on Facebook and I was so glad I did!! I'm always looking for a good Cuban sandwich and now that I don't have to go downtown they have a new regular. The Havana sandwich was spectacular! Perfectly toasted hoagie roll, slow cooked pork that was moist and flavorful, and the perfect kick of mustard and pickles round this sandwich out to an authentic and quality eating experience. 9/10 - Personal preference would be a touch more of the brown mustard... I've never tried elote but I chose this place to change that and I think I might've found a new favorite food! The chipotle mayo combined with the Parmesan cheese was fantastic, I'll need a bigger size next time. 10/10 - Wouldn't change a thing! Service was great, both the guy working the counter and the guy cooking the food were in a great mood and very welcoming. The seating area was very clean and organized as well. I will be back!

Been a fan of Mingo's food truck since day one 2015. Happy to see small businesses prosper to brick and mortar. Location is quaint, limited seating and low key vibe. Recent visit received superb service from Brianna. Food and drinks were good as always. Stop by and give them a try. #support your local small business owners.

I had been wanting to check out Mingo's Latin Kitchen for quite some time. I first checked them out many years ago when they were a food truck. Having them open a brick-and-mortar location in my hometown was exciting. I stopped by on a Tuesday evening for dinner. They're located in a shopping center so parking won't be an issue. You order at the counter and then they bring your food out to you. I went with the brisket fries which are your classic loaded fries that are super popular from food trucks. With some crispy fries at the base, cheese, and a mix of sauces including their signature sauce, this was a tasty and hearty dish. I have a weakness for loaded fries. I also added an egg for an additional charge which is always a good idea. From there, I also went with the churros which are served with a chocolate dipping sauce. The mini churros were a bit lackluster. A little overcooked. With churros, you're looking for the perfect blend of a chewy interior with a little crispness. It's easy to mess this up both if it's undercooked or overcooked. Service was friendly. It's a small restaurant too with only a handful of tables. Definitely check it out if you're looking for some Latin fusion.

If I could give this place a rating on service only it would be 5/5. The woman at the front was sooo welcoming, personable and friendly. The vibe was after work quick stop. There were a few ladies enjoying some libations. -Ambiance: 5/5. Cute, colorful and a overall a nice casual spot. There were napkins at every table which was very convenient. -Food: 1) The Elotes- 8/10. The topping was delicious. They lose a point because it was definitely canned corn instead of fresh. 2) The chicken empanadas- 6/10 only because the dough was crunchy and awesome. Otherwise it would be a 2/10. The filling was sparse and lacked taste. They topped it with pico and crema. 3) The brisket tacos- 6/10. There was enough meat, the pico was good but the dish lacked spice. We asked for their spicest and it was a Tabasco heat at best. 4) The pork belly tacos- 3/10 the pork belly was not crispy or reminiscent of a char at all. The meat was sweet and sparse. The cucumber topping was refreshing. They lost points for sparse filling as well. I actually moved the filling down and it became a 2 bite taco. Sooo disappointing. 5) The chips that accompany all meals was one of the best things there: 8.5/10 Crispy, and flavorful. -Value for money- 1/10. For the above plus 1 fountain drink we spent nearly $50. I was extremely taken aback and what we got for $50. I would have been satisfied if there was enough meat. The meal should have costed $30 at most. -Likelihood to return- 0 chance. I understand that the restaurant has to cater for the area that it is in so not having spicy sauces is understandable. My biggest qualm with this place is the value for money.

Just finished having lunch here, what a great experience. The food was excellent! I wish we tried this place sooner. The service was excellent and loved the vibe of this place. We had the Brussels sprouts, fish taco, and chicken and brisket empanadas. We cannot wait to come back!

Was craving Cuban so had to try this new place (or at least new to me, first time here). Small place but didn't have many lunch customers on a Saturday. Service was great and food was excellent. I usually don't give 5 stars but everything was outstanding. Even the french fries were really good. I had the Havana Cuban sandwich and Oso Bueno shrimp taco which with both meals was more than I could eat. Will definitely be back!

This new local Pearland restaurant is amazing!!! Authentic food from Mexico/Mexican made. Not Tex mex. Actual Mexican yumminess. The pics you see here do not do the presentation justice. Appetizers: elote r wey and the honey chipotle Brussels sprouts... just try them. You're welcome. Food: I had the pulled pork rice bowl. Hubby had the fried chicken tacos. Let me tell you... they make this fresh. Lightly battered. Fluffy crisp. Perfect. Large portions. Plus: try the mango pico. And the Mexican coke. Wait! The owner came out and chatted with us. Went back during their Wednesday ladies night and tried their other menu items, which were all good.

So this place is new and has been open around 6 months. Gave it a try tonight and was not disappointed. Had high expectations based on other reviews and they delivered. Appetizers- Elote was great. 9/10. The tajin adds a perfect balance to the natural sweetness of the corn Brussel sprouts are a must try. They are sweet but not overly sweet. They nailed this. 9.5/10 Empanadas- chicken empanadas were delightful. Crunchy outside and the perfect chicken and cheese ratio inside. The spicy sauce was nice and Carrie's a good bit of heat but works great with the empanadas. 10/10 Mains Pork belly tacos- these were tasty. Not as much meat as I thought it would be but the flavor profile was very nice. 8/10 Pulled pork tacos- wife got these and said they were very good. I tasted some of the pork. It was nice and juicy. 8/10 El Mingos sandwich- daughter ordered the pulled pork version. First of all the fries here are excellent. Hand cut indeed. Perfectly seasoned and great crunch. The sandwich was the same pulled pork as the tacos. It was tasty and moist. The slaw on top and the sauce made it a little one note per my daughter. She got the mild sauce. The hot sauce would have made some difference. It's a big and filling sandwich. 7/10 sandwich 10/10 fries. Summation: this place is a gem and I would encourage you to stop by if you have a chance. It's really thoughtful food made well. We'll definitely be back to try more of the menu.

The brisket tacos will blow you out of the water. Delish! So yummy! Good service too!

Customer service was on point. Very friendly and helpful cashier. Customer area is small but we came during a weekday after lunch time so it wasn't crowded or anything. They have lunch specials which are great deals. I had the Havana sandwich and it came with hand cut fries and a drink. The sandwich was a very good size. It was more than enough food. Wife had fried fish tacos. Crispy and moist. One of the best fried fish dishes we've had in a while. Super crispy on the outside and the fish was perfectly cook on the inside. Came with mango pico de gallo. Yummy! Daughter had chicken quesadillas. One of the few times that she actually ate half her dish! She said the sauce was very tasty and lots of chicken per bite. Since it was our first time here, we got an elote on the house. We enjoyed it but prefer a little less like juice next time. See you guys again soon!

Even though the restaurant was closing in 20 minutes they still took out to go order. The food was Uh-mazing! Brisket, cream corn, shrimp tacos. Can't wait to try more food from here.

It was my first time coming to Mingo's, didn't know what to order. The cashier helped with deciding what to drink. The food was so good! I wish I had taken a picture of the empanadas with the pico de gallo that has mango! The ambiance is amazing! Everyone is there to have a good time! 10/10 recommend

Food- Absolutely tast and got my order right. Service- I didn't have to wait for my food to come out, they gave to me within a minute. Ambiance- music was soothing and was attentative to our needs.

This place was great! We had a hard day that drug on much longer than needed causing us to not make it to Mingos till 8:30, 30 mins till closing. We almost didn't go in because of the time but they told us it would be okay. They were super nice and attentive, easy to read menu, very kind staff and the food was delicious! We all got different things and each of them was great. We had the elotes, brisket fries, tacos and Mingos sandwich and complimentary churros which were such a nice blessing after a hard day. They also walked us through the food/sauces since it was our first time, over all a great, clean, kind place 1000/10 would recommend

Totally enjoyed this place. The servers were friendly and welcoming. The food was well seasoned and delicious. The highlight was the pork belly tacos. I would definitely go back.

My hubby and I tried this place last week and it was SO GOOD!!! First of all, a lady who I believe was the owner welcomed us with a bright smile and was so friendly. She told us what the most popular dishes are so we opted for some of those. We started off with the empanadas. One chicken and one brisket. Omg, these were DELICIOUS!!!! And HUGE!! They could be a meal on its own! I liked the chicken more and my hubby preferred the brisket. I recommend to definitely get the empanadas!! You won't be disappointed. It also came with a side of homemade chips, which were really good too. For the entree, my hubby got the Mingo's Sandwich and opted for chicken. We thought it was going to be a fried chicken sandwich but it was more like shredded chicken, which he wouldn't get again. He thought it was okay. Next time he wants to try the fried one. His also came with fries and those were good. I got the Oso Bueño with fried shrimp. It was HUGE and delicious!! It had so much flavor! I highly recommend this too. Please go support this local business!! We will be back!!

We really enjoyed our meal here! Brussels sprouts were delicious, nicely roasted in a tasty sauce. Lunchero tacos & pork rice bowl with a fried egg were both really good. Freshly made, fresh ingredients & interesting foiespecially for this part of Pearland. Very friendly helpful service, reasonably priced food. Did I mention their drinks are also great?! We will def be back!

Definitely worth the 30+miles drive! We had the brisket empanada, chicken empanada, brisket taco, oso bueno both the shrimp and the fish option, brisket rice bowl, & the kids tender & fries. Everything was so good and well thought out! A must try!

I have been eating the food here since they were just a food truck, the food tastes just as amazing with even more items. Their service is extremely tentative and friendly. I love coming here and don't mind the drive to eat the food. The price is reasonable for the amount of food and I've never left unsatisfied. Even when I get to-go empanadas they package very neatly. Without having to ask they put all sauces and toppings on the side which I appreciate since it makes it easy to warm up later if need be and it tastes just the same as when I eat at the restaurant. To me that shows good quality food. The drink selections are great, I highly recommend this restaurant, you won't be disappointed at all.

In the land of the famished, here rose a place of satiety and deliciousness...... a restaurant of complete satisfaction called Mingo's Latin Kitchen. With a fusion of flavors beyond one's imagination, no one could predict the outcome of ordering the variety of dishes. Delish... Delightful .... Incredible.... They are an MUST to visit and enjoy the food and ambience ! Mingo's is the place to eat.

I'm so glad I decided to pop in to Mingo's for a late lunch after work! I started with the Elote r wey which was sooo good! I also had the Oso Bueno tacos which were a great surprise. Everything tasted so fresh and the portion sizes were great! The margaritas were on point! I will definitely be back!

Very nice customer service!! Great place. But unfortunately I got a RESPONSE bad stomach bug, virus or something after eating the chicken empanadas..... I broke my fast with this meal- so the empanadas were the only food I had that day. Stomach cramped so bad that night and the next day- had to call in from work. I did call and let them know. They said no one else had gotten sick ~ so maybe it was just a a "one off" type of situation. Again- they were very nice.

We visited this place on Sunday, trying a new place. OMG so good! I had the Cuban sandwich and it was delicious. Our table ordered a little of everything it seemed but it was all delicious. Ashley was amazing. We're definitely going back!

I love the food here. It was fresh and tasty (I m.mexican American) I enjoyed their churro that was given at rhe very end. Since it was mh first time in coming here the staff were patient with me and even helped me by recommending a few dishes. Restroom was clean and spacious. I had a easy time in parking and it was free. I will definitely come back. I left very full and able to enjoy my left overs.

We took a group here and ordered several things from the menu. It was all soooooooo good! Pictured are the chicken taco, fish taco and Brussels. Loved the stuff I tried that others had at the table. The service was amazing as well! Super great people. I will absolutely be back when I'm in town!!

Love Mingo's!!!!! I have tried the veggie tacos, fried chicken tacos, fried chicken sandwich, the rice bowl, the brussel sprouts, elote, queso, and beef quesadillas on the kids menu and not one thing has been less than DELICIOUS. The Mingos sauce is actually addicting. The staff is always super friendly - we are repeat customers and once the manager brought us churros on the house (they were also really good). Please give this place a try, you will definitely come back.

Went for dinner with my special one on a weekday evening. Good parking. Interior is bright with striking tasteful wall murals. Staff is pleasant, helpful, efficient and wanting to please. The food was good and both our entrees were as tasty as they looked. Can recommend this place without reservation.We will be back

Supper friendly and clean. Wanted to try something different in Pearland so we ended up here. We will try one more time in the future. We didn't care for the chicken for sure. It was really bland and had the texture like it was boiled or something like that. So we ordered the brisket empanadas and they to were bland. Everyone there was supper friendly for sure

My wife picked up some to go from here yesterday, and the food was excellent. We wanted to try it out and got Elotes and Chicken Empanadas. Both were great even the next day; we'll be going back very soon! Will post pictures next time.

Absolutely amazing food. The prices are reasonable in regards to portions, and the flavors are on point. It wasn't too salty, definitely not bland. My boyfriend got the rice bowl with brisket topped with an egg, and I got the pork belly taco with elote. Forgot to take a photo of my taco, I was too excited to eat it. Don't be picky, get it the way it's supposed to be prepared. We will definitely be back.

Good quality food, creative menu. Creative presentation on dishes. We had the brisket empanadas, chicken sandwich, pork belly taco, and another item or two I cannot recall. Great service by the staff. Was extremely cold in Mingo's when we were there, making us uncomfortable. Hope that is an uncommon thing, but was a reality for us. We'll try them again soon.

Ambience was awesome. Casual place with plenty of seating. The lady who took our order was attentive and friendly. The menu wasn't incredibly big, but had their specialty dishes, which were great! Loved all the sauces. The only kind of complaint was the spices. They could use one sauce that is spicy and full of flavor for those who like it hot! Must try !

Great, family-run business. They remember you when you go back. I highly recommend this place in Central Pearland.

This place trumps torches tacos by a land slide.. definitely a spot to check out for some solid empanadas and tacos and their amazing rice bowl.

Whatever you do, order the brisket empanadas, the margarita was good. Chicken empanada was good, the brisket was over the top good.
