Went to the private pre-opening party for this location yesterday. Right in the middle of downtown Chicago, the space is small, but will be perfect for The Rush of the lunch crowd. You start off with a warm or cold base for $8.95. For a warm base, your choices are fresh three wheat noodles, fresh spinach noodles, or brown rice. They suggest pairing these with any of these sauces, black pepper tahini, ginger scallion sauce, green curry lemongrass, red miso, or shiso basil pesto. For a cold base your choices are zucchini noodles (raw), organic spring mix, or organic baby spinach. They suggest pairing these with any of these dressings togarashi Ranch, Citrus herb, olive oil and vinegar, lemon squeeze, or balsamic vinaigrette. You can get as many as you want of the following toppings: roasted broccoli, miso corn, roasted mushrooms, slow cooked Tomatoes, scallions, spicy kale kimchi, Sesame cucumbers, or pickled carrots. You can also have an unlimited choice of the following garnishes: pickled chillies, toasted sesame seeds, roasted cashews, crispy shallots, or MG spice ( Japanese everything spice). The following options are at an additional cost. Your choice of protein: marinated tofu +2.25, slow-cooked chicken + 2.50 Dashi poached salmon + 5.50 or slow-roasted pork shoulder + 3.50. Avocado + 1.50 or a poached egg + 1.50. They also offer the Chicken Jawn for $13 which consists of fresh 3-week noodles, whole roasted chicken, sweet and sour onions, black truffle, miso corn, chives and Parmesan. This was not available yesterday so I think it would be worth it to return here and try this selection. There is also a drink sidebar with lemonade, Ice-T and other drinks available. We had the fresh spinach noodles with slow roasted pork shoulder roasted broccoli roasted mushrooms, miso corn, avocado and poached egg. Along with the brown rice, Dashi poached salmon, along with the roasted broccoli, miso corn, roasted mushrooms, Sesame cucumbers, avocado and poached egg. Combinations were delicious and very filling. I recommend this restaurant for a satisfying, healthy lunch that you can order ahead and pick up, which I strongly suggest.

Visited a few days ago during Lolla & I'm vegan, so I was SOO excited to try out their sauces, like shiso pesto & black pepper tahini. The concept is like Brightwok - DIY stir fry for a flat price, except w/ unlimited veggies. With tofu, my bowl was $11. A lil more expensive than BW, but still a good deal for the portion size. The noodles were so dreamy - thick, wide & chewy 😍 Way better than BW. The cucumber salad & mushrooms were also 💯 However, the sauces are a hit or miss & that really determines the meal. The shiso pesto? Made with so much basil I didn't taste the shiso 😭 So I got the black pepper tahini the employee recommended without tasting. It was very underseasoned & I have a fairly low sodium tolerance. Came back a second time because Peach & Green across the street didn't have good vegan options that day & I'm glad I did! The green curry sauce was much better & I really enjoyed my meal.

Healthy, cheap and delicious lunch and dinner option in the Loop! The salmon is really good quality and the spinach noodles are incredible with the lemon curry sauce! Can't wait to go back!

I've tried this place a couple times now and wouldn't go back. The meals are mostly bland and uninteresting and the meat seems low quality. I had chicken and both times couldn't eat much of the chicken at all because it was mostly fat and grime. With many other very good options in the area to get bowls of meat, vegetables, etc. in a sauce, I would go elsewhere. In addition, it's a bit overpriced. I can get, in my opinion, a similar but better tasting meal elsewhere for $10, whereas this was closer to $14.

A cute place for a quick lunch or dinner. Had the beet noodles and it was nice and crunchy!

I enjoyed the food and style. Pick your own base, protein, spice, and veggies. They had a few pre-designed options too, besides the build your own. I was disappointed at the portion for the price. The staff was great which almost made up for that. We had never been there before and they were happy to answer questions.

Was in-town from New York City and stumbled upon this grand opening. Amazingly friendly staff, food was beyond delicious. The lemon curry sauce is mouth watering. Inquired about the company, locations, etc and was told they had some in NYC!! Yes!

We loved being able to get healthy, tasty fast food easily in Chicago and minigrow was our favorite. My teenage daughter asked to go back and it was just as good as the first visit.
