Under the classic red sheds since 1876, this farmer-run hub is the state’s largest and a weekend ritual for many. Open Wednesday–Sunday in 2025, it’s frequently highlighted by Star Tribune and city guides for breadth and true grower presence.

Reasonable prices, fun and Friendly vendors on an extremely busy Saturday. Huge of variety of fresh produce, flowers, frozen poultry, fashions, handmade/handcrafted jewelry, pottery. Great selections of freshly cooked food vendors from different cultures semi in-between produce vendors. Limited seats available with life music. One of the best quality iced mocha and coffee I haven’t had for a while . Free parking and It’s very difficult to find one. Also, there ‘s construction around.

I had a great time here over the weekend. There is ample parking. No need to pay for tickets or gate fees. There is food and coffee for you in the morning. Everyone is friendly.

The deep fried cheese curds was sooo good a must try! The shrimp crackers was okay, the dough inside wasnt cooked through line were long , they had alot of street food vendors, many local produce and fresh vegetables

I had a really disappointing experience at the Minneapolis Farmers Market. I was shocked to learn that some vendors are allowed to mislead customers by selling grocery store fruit disguised as farm-fresh produce. A friend pointed out that the raspberries and blueberries we bought were actually store-bought and sure enough, we saw the same packaging stashed in the vendor’s van, while the berries were transferred to rustic-looking containers to appear locally grown. It felt like a complete betrayal of trust. This kind of deception shouldn’t be allowed at a farmers market, where people expect to support real farmers and local producers not resellers passing off grocery items as homegrown. It left a bad taste in my mouth, and I won’t forget it. That said, I did enjoy the crepe vendor, and the flower stalls were beautiful. The space itself is large and offers a wide variety of products. But it’s hard to enjoy those positives when you’re left wondering how much of what you see is actually real. I really hope the organizers take this issue seriously because customers deserve better.

Google
where are all the vendors this year? the lot is completely empty, save for one flower stall. it doesn’t even say anywhere on google that nothing is open. maybe it’s because of the construction or that’s it’s a wednesday afternoon. what a waste of a drive here!

Love this place market. Best one in Minnesota. I wish they can expand because I'm telling you guys, they do numbers here. But shout out to my Girl Caroline, her spot is at 237. She has the best prices for her fruits and vegetables. Everyone else keeps raising their prices. 3 containers for $10 on all her fruits and vegetables. She's beating every one's prices far as I know. And Shout out to Anthony and his BBQ Team. Thank you guys for your services.

Must visit especially in good weather. So much variety, produce, flowers, homemade sweets, artisans, clothing, natural meats.

Out of all three summer weekend activities in MN this would be the one I recommend most (coming from someone who has went for over 5 years). The atmosphere here is always great and there is something for everyone. From great barbecue, to coffee, to plants & flowers. The vendors are primarily local too which is always nice. Most of the time there there is live music too which is hit or miss. There is free parking under the highway which is super chaotic but with enough patience doable. There is also paid parking on the surrounding streets.

Yelp
**July 2025: Sunday Morning Visit** This is such a great Farmer Market and I'm so glad that I visited. On our last day in Minneapolis I happen to notice that we'd be able to attend this Sunday event. Farmers Markets in California all range in size so I didn't really know what to expect for this one - holy cow! It was huge and lots of different local things. They had Minnesota grown produce, handmade products, fresh flowers, baked good and so much more. I was introduced to Ty's Gingseng (https://www.tysginseng.com/) who grows and sells 6 year old ginseng powder - which is very high quality. I also bought relish from Red Ron's as well as some sausage links from another vendor. To be honest I probably could have spent at least 1.5 hours here if I wanted to really study all the booths and check everything out, but we had brunch plans and needed to depart within 45 mins. I would love to come back to support small! FYI: There's metered parking

Yelp
Being a MN native, I haven't been back to the farmers market in awhile and I must change that! I recently went the other weekend and it was such a great way to start my weekend morning with clothes, food, flowers, produce and the list goes on! Being able to support the community and get such staple items made my heart full. It probably wasn't the wisest choice getting hot soup on a hot day but it was so delicious. There was live music, went into the walk in cooler to take a break from the sun and went back to it. Every vendor was very nice and welcoming, got some treats for my dogs, a freshly made slush coffee, and some hot dogs to end the walk around. I can't wait to come back to grab more fruits and veggies and flowers!

Yelp
I absolutely loved the Minneapolis farmers market! There's so much produce which I didn't expect! There's also a ton of small breakfast booths. I ended up getting crepes. Portion size was huge and only $9! Wait was about 10 mins, but it was super popular and lots of people were in line. They also have a live jazz show with fun entertainmen Overall rating: 10/10

Yelp
Fresh produce, vibrant flowers, and all the local goods you could ask for. Minneapolis Farmers Market is the weekend vibe!

Yelp
Decent farmers market in Minneapolis Can get very busy during the day so best to go early The flower stalls are nice and lots of produce stalls to choose from Good thing to do on a weekend and check out new vendors
google avatar

Chelly G.

Yelp
Beautiful bouquets of flowers for $5-10 is enough to make me come back. Outside of that there were lots of fresh veggies, food stands, live performers and more.

Yelp
Spent a thoroughly enjoyable hour on an early morning in early June Saturday morning at the Minneapolis Farmers market. I bought Minnesota-grown rhubarb, asparagus, peony and lupine that were all harvested within the past couple of days. Also got some amazing rib tips and smoked chicken wings, listened to a local band play Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay (almost brought a tear to my eyes) and took in the smells from over a dozen food and coffee stands. The market also has dozens of other vendors, selling baked goods, clothing, jewelry, crafts and other interesting. Look forward to going back throughout the season, as the Market evolves with the season.

Yelp
Stopped by the farmers market two weekends ago and had such a fun time! Parking was a little crazy, but we eventually found a spot (this was around 12pm so we sadly only had one hour to check out the market). I ended up leaving with some pickled okra, beef jerky sticks, a cowboy hat and some fair food which I will add photos of :) The market is HUGE and packed with people so be prepared for that. They also had lots of food vendors as well as live music and a beer garden! This must be newer (but also I have not been to this farmers market in about 10 years). Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Favorite farmers market in the twin cities. Best flowers for only $8-10/bouquet, friendly vendors who offer ample samples, and a huge variety that fills the large space. My favorite vendors: succulents, season flowers, dog bones with yak chews, rainbow Chinese the bubble teas/lemonades!!!!
google avatar

Markeda D.

Yelp
Delicious food, fresh produce, friendly vendors and a wide variety of different things. We got there about an hour after open and it was pretty busy, even busier by the time we left. ATM's available not every stand accepts electronic payments. Take advantage of the local food and handmade items, worth every penny!

Yelp
Holy cow. Why is ANYONE going to the state fair when this market is the one to rule them all? So amazing with the amount of fruits and vegetables and so MANY options for food. a few favs: the eggroll place on the end - the eggrolls are the size of the super corn dog at the fair; the breakfast sandwich booths, the crepes, the mini donuts, we saw boba tea and lemonades, the flower stands! this is a photographer's dream - so many beauties for the eye to see. can't wait to go back. Hot tips: bring a reusable grocery bag with you (thank me later - my arms were so full of goodies that i couldn't carry anymore if i tried) bring cash - some of the stands take cash only. there are a lot that do take credit card but not all get there early - the parking situation is a bit stressful and it gets really crowded watch out for pick pocketers and people asking for money - mostly on the side of the streets.
google avatar

Kelly U.

Yelp
If you haven't spent an early summer Saturday at the Farmers Market, you are missing out. Lots of good hot food options, fresh produce with many different stands to choose from. Go hungry, take lots of cash with you, and enjoy this market! Parking can be a problem, get there early and be patient!

Yelp
Everything looked fresh and clean. There were vendors selling produce, plants, flowers, honey products, jams/jellies, pickled products, fresh food, fresh lemonade, kombucha, jewelry, flowers, indoor and outdoor decor, coffee & more. Not all of the produce was local or locally-grown. A good portion seemed to be imported and I even saw a few vendors selling Driscoll's branded products. Despite the produce not being local, there still wasn't a variety of fruits & veggies to choose from. I also noticed many people brought their dogs, despite the abundance of signs saying "no dogs allowed". This alone wouldn't bother me (I love dogs!), but the abandoned dog poo DID bother me. There are few coffee stands that all appear to be owned by the same company and I would recommend their coffee! It's good & a decent price.

Yelp
I'm willing to give this place a second chance just because it does seem like a really popular place to go but I came here for the first time on a weekday, the website said they were open and there's barely anyone here selling stuff. In fact it was more closer to noon and everybody was more so looking to leave. Not much foot traffic either and it was quite a dissapointing experience

Loca M.

Yelp
Disclaimer: This review is of the market on a weekday during lunch hour. Pros: A few vendors have a great variety A couple vendors had good prices, bargain bins cheese sampling - and they tasted great Cons: Almost all were cash only Few vendors (weekday during lunch) One vendor had wasps devouring some produce with no intervention Not all vendors sell locally sourced; one said produce was shipped from Puerto Rico and California I've never been to a farmer's market where so many vendors seemed unhappy to be there. The environment was pretty down.

Yelp
A wonderful daily farmer's market! It never disappoints. There are many farmers markets across the Twin Cities, and this one of the tops. I love how diverse it is -- representing different cultures and industries. You can get produce from Asian-owned businesses, hot food from LatinX-owned businesses, and everything from clothing to sauces to cheese to lawn ornaments. Some specific faves: Quince Mpls Mkt's breakfast burritos, Lutunji's peach cobbler, Wisconsin Cheese Outlet... General faves: Alllll the fresh fruits, vegetables and flowers. The live music, garden plants, doggie-watching, and too many others to list so here's an actual list: https://www.mplsfarmersmarket.com/FreshNews/vendor-list/
google avatar

Brenda M.

Yelp
I love this market. So much to look at and friendly atmosphere. But take cash because not all vendors take cards. There is an ATM but it charges. I spent many Saturday enjoying this market. Check out the handmade jewelry too!

Yelp
The Minneapolis Farmer's Market is one of the best I've been to, and I've been to a lot of farmer's markets! Vendors bring all kinds of wonderful things, and the bounty increases through the summer and into fall. One week, there is a seemingly endless quantity of eggplant and summer squash, another, baskets upon baskets of flame-colored peppers. At the height of summer, you can get delicious corn and flawless tomatoes at excellent prices. The farmers plant string beans on an ongoing basis, so you can usually find them for several weeks. Don't miss them--they are delicious. As fall approaches, the apples begin to emerge--first Zestars, and later Honeycrisps and Haralsons--along with the first chestnut-sizes potatoes and sweet and delicious carrots. There are some vendors who sell meat and other animal products as well: definitely visit Bar 5 for some mighty fine eggs! Along with fresh produce, you can find other wonderful products for yourself or gifts. There are beautiful Hmong handicrafts, including story blankets and aprons. For your more gustatory friends, there is delicious honey to be had, along with wild rice and cheese. I am a huge fan of making my own hot sauce, and at this market, I can find peppers ranging from mild wax on up through the scorching Carolina reaper. (Note for my fellow preservation enthusiasts--these peppers are especially amenable to lacto-fermentation!)

Yelp
Amazing open air farmers market in Minneapolis! Rows and rows of fruits and veggies as far as you can see! Gorgeous bouquets of fresh cut flowers for dirt cheap! I am so jealous that my local farmers market isn't like this!!

Yelp
Awesome experience for our quick trip! I wish we had driven so we could have bought more! Loved the various vendors and found great jewelry even!!

Yelp
I'm always up for exploring a farmers market and was excited that I was in town for the farmers on Saturday. Parking was a little tricky as we couldn't figure out where to find the handicap parking and then we just decided to park along the street and we couldn't figure out the parking meter so we just left it. I didn't see anyone able to get it working and no one got a ticket that we saw. Since it's so early on the season, most of the vendors had flowers and a few had some asparagus. There was a lot of different types of foods to try and homemade things that people were selling. It's a fun farmer's market to check out and I hope to be back once more produce is in season.

Joy T.

Yelp
Stopped on way to work and bought several different fruits and veggies. Okra at 6:30 am and then cooked at 6:30 pm. Freshest and great tasting.

Yelp
The most beautiful patio flower assortments around. The hanging flower baskets are equally as beautiful! They had gorgeous potting plants. I'd recommend getting your annuals and veggies here first, then if you can't find something specific go to a nursery. Excellent produce, coffee carts and food vendors. Love this place! B

Jakesa T.

Yelp
There's no question or doubt that this is the best farmers market in Minnesota. There are so many vendors, sights to see, things to do and listen to, and things to eat and drink. Not to mention the produce is unreal in how cheap it is! I skip going to the grocery store for fruits and veggies while the market is open. Heck you could skip going all together because they sell meat and eggs as well. In addition to the typical foods you'd expect, you can also buy flowers, bed sheets, clothes, jewelry, bowls and just about anything else you can think of. It's in such a convenient location and there's plenty of parking. There's sometimes a bounce house and someone making balloon animals for kids as well. Definitely thee market to check out!

Yelp
We headed down to Gray Family Christmas Trees and are so pleased with the quality, prices and helpful Christmas tree team! Highly recommend this tree vendor! I've never been to the market for Christmas Trees so this was a new experience. I love the market in the warmer weather too and have added a new reason to get there for holiday shopping too. In addition to the tree shopping we were shooting seasonal client photos and the backdrop of the trees was fantastic! I was able to get a have camera and chain saw will travel image, yay!

Yelp
We love this Farmer's Market! We love getting up early and grabbing a cup of coffee to just stroll around checking out the booths. The fresh veggies and fruit are simply outstanding. We buy in bulk a couple of times each season to load up on fresh salsa and pesto. They also have outstanding deals on fresh flowers. Man Cave Meats is here too and you can actually get a side of beef or pork too from one of the local farms. Don't forget your made to order sausage or wiener to eat while you walk around the grounds.

Yelp
The Minneapolis farmers market used to be an epic MN experience. It's was my go to for out of town guests. Awesome food, great produce, great music, fantastically unique finds. Now it's turned into a meh experience. The amazing food is gone. The cool finds are gone. The music is gone. and now it's a bunch of stuff you can find at the store. St Paul farmers market is a gazillion times better.
google avatar

Marie T.

Yelp
The more busy farmer's market in Downtown Minneapolis. Huge crowd and difficulty finding parking. Allot of traffic congestion in the area due to people simultaneously crossing the streets and vehicles coming in and out of the parking lots, especially under the bridge. However, huge variety of produce and all different kinds of food. Chinese, Hmong and even Mexican. Many vendors selling crafted arts and instruments as well as fashion and accessories. Vendors are all super nice and welcoming as well as informative. If you guys do go, you have to go try out Mama Julie's! They make authentic tortillas, hot sauce and salsa to sell. They also cook hot food made right in front of you to eat. Their tacos are literally the best I've had around the Twin Cities! Every time I visit this market, I always have to visit Mama Julie's! Overall, love the experience every time!

Yelp
First Time to the farmers market and I did have some rose colored glasses on. TLDR; Get a Crepe, find the 'real farmers', and the pavilion is like walking into a really organized hoarders house. 10 out of 10 would go again. 1. UMMMOKAY so how come no one told me about the food vendors? LEGIT the Crepe place called GO CREPE! had me planning my funeral because I BIT INTO INTO IT AND DIED. I LITERALLY DIED. The #5 Savory 'Complete Crepe' ham, cheese, spinach, onion, mushroom, and béchamel. $8.00. Cheapest death in history. 2. THE FLOWERS - The Peonies were blooming and out in force. I couldn't decide if I felt like I was in the middle of some break out musical street scene where a line skirts were going to appear and people would be dancing like Rent 2.0, or the wedding scene from Mama Mia. 3. The Pavilion- to be honest I am a little confused about the purpose of this brick and mortar as it had like the weirdest collection of 'things' but this was my first time at a farmers market so maybe this is normal. ...that being said we did purchase a rolling suitcase, a pair of tennis shoes, and meatballs. I know right? 4. I was told ahead of time to be careful of 'second hand' groceries which means that they pick up the 'damaged' veggies out the back of grocery stores and sell them at the market. Regardless if this is 100 % true or not...isn't it a 'FARMERS' market? So based on this advice I looked thoroughly for the real harvesters. Veggie BUY of the day? $1 for a HUGE head of Napa Cabbage.

Yelp
This farmers market is one of the best in the country in terms of quality of the offerings, price, variety, and overall vibe. And with free parking, it's a mystery why more people aren't flocking there.

Yelp
Brilliant Farmers market. Free parking. EBT available. Tasty wide variety of Food choices, veggie & flowing plants & cool artisans.

Yelp
It always amazes me that there are people that live in this city and have never been to the Farmers Market. There are few better spots on a Saturday or Sunday morning to take in the sites, sounds and smells of the city. I am not as big a fan of the early spring although once things warm up a little it is a great place for bedding plants and flowers to get the garden off on the right path (no pun intended). As things warm up though the Market only gets better. Where else can you get some great early spring potatoes, snap peas, onions and great herbs. There are all types of fresh farm raised meat for the carnivores and a great selection of fresh cut flowers. You can get a cheap pair of knock off shades and a metal pig for your yard without having to walk more than 50 feet. The food here is very underrated. The large Brat stand on the road has great Brats but has really good hot dogs. These are the old fashion style with the casing that gives the fresh snap when you bite in and has a nice spicy center. Get it loaded with lots of fresh veggies to health it up just a little. The local fish vendor has killer breakfast burritos and very good fish tacos. There are a couple of vendors that make their own tortillas and more fresh salsa than you can shake a stick at. The fresh corn on the Cob get better as the summer gets longer, don't forget the wipes though. Make the drive down but I warn you, go early and get out before 11:30. When you get close to lunch the crowd changes. People will run you down for a parking space and it's wall to wall people. Go early, go hungry and leave with full arms. Enjoy KT

Yelp
The best farmer's market in the Twin Cities. The number of vendors will vary based on when you come, but often times they have a wide variety of options. This can include freshly cooked foods, fresh produce, cheese, meat, or plenty of other vendors selling many other great products. The flowers sold here beat flowers sold anywhere else around. Coming here on the weekend is almost a weekly trip during the summer.
google avatar

Tanya W.

Yelp
Great place to get fresh produce! The prices are reasonable for the food you're purchasing and this market is HUGE! There are so many stalls with different goods from produce, cheeses, beef jerky, honey, and other foods. I was able to sample many of these things before purchasing. I was able to find and try fresh Wisconsin cheese curds here! There's also several food vendors selling pastries, corn on the cob, polish dogs, tea, clothing, etc. And I really enjoyed the live music going on.
google avatar

Angie S.

Yelp
This is the the largest farmers market I know of. There is anything and everything you can think of sold here. I have gotten a cute dress, bright bouquet of flowers, honey roasted almonds, sweet peppers and a breakfast all in the same trip! It's fun to go at least once a week as the product will change frequently. In the summer I try to get most of my fruits, veggies, eggs and hummus here. I often swing by to pick up some fish and bison to put on the grill when guests are coming over. The best way to get here is to bike. Parking looks terrible and I avoid it at all costs. Don't forget to bring your reuseable bags!

Yelp
Great selection, prices and everyone is pretty cool there. Some live music, some art and a amazing selection of food. The best way to start a weekend morning.

Yelp
Do u like the state fair and eating fresh veggies & fruit? Then the Minneapolis Farmers Market will not disappoint. Coming here on the weekend is something fun for both locals & visitors. All the food vendors & the crowds remind me of the state fair. You can even get footlongs and roasted sweet corn. I come to this market consistently in May for mother's day flowers & in July for pickling supplies but I like coming throughout the summer & fall to support local farmers & to get awesome deals on tomatoes, cucumbers, beans, honey & the Asian veggies - Chinese broccoli, bokchoy ($1), & Thai chili peppers. The Food: - While brats are a huge deal here, I recommend you take advantage of some of the diverse vendor options. My fav is Mama Julie's where u can get tacos, burritos, tamales, & nachos. They make their own fresh tortillas that u can also buy separately. They have seating & hot sauce on the table so ur able sit down & enjoy your meal! $4 for a taco. I liked the chicken ones the best. - Fresh, steaming, scones are a great breakfast option Overall tips: - If u really have to get something that everyone else wants (e.g. flowers on Mother's day, the smallest cucumbers for pickles), u got to get here earlier in the morning. Best items are usually gone by 1pm. - Bring ur own heavy-duty bags. The vendors only have those flimsy plastic bags. Those thirty-one bags u scoffed at when ur mom/aunties gifted u with it r actually hella useful here. Thx mom! - If u want to avoid the most crowded areas, skip directly to the farthest away covered market vendors. Or avoid the weekends altogether. It's pretty empty in the middle of the day during the week but there's a lot fewer vendors then. - Beware of all the stollers that will block ur path. If ur thinking of bringing your own stroller, please don't and save all our poor feet from that pain. - The farmers are awesome & will totally do the Portlandia thing and tell u all about the animals they raise and that the bokchoy was grown w/out pesticides. - Avoid parking right at the market and park in nearby lots and walk a bit - u will b much less likely the hit the crazy number of pedestrians. Buying local/fresh meats and produce is a win/win for us and the farmers! This is a go-to place to check out in the Twin Cities.

Yelp
I love the size of the Minneapolis Farmers Market, the only issue I have is it's A LOT of the same stuff row after row. I usually go there and spend all of 5 minutes and bounce because once you've seen one row, you've pretty much seen them all. I'd like to see more artisan style booths like I am used to from other Farmers Markets. I think there is a big opportunity for mushrooms, cheese, various oils, and other items like that. I get annoyed by the booths that sell outdated grocery produce like bananas and pineapples. Oh really? Did you grow that tropical fruit on your farm in Stillwater? No. Prices tend to be high, but you get what you pay for.
google avatar

Cindy D.

Yelp
I usually go to the one in downtown St Paul but this location is great too. I have been cooking healthy meal lately, and stopping by the Famers Market helps me save a lot. I love getting vegetables and fruits there, especially the berries. I found one for 3 trays for $5! Wow, I know. I found Hollow vegetable for cheap too, usually you don't find them anywhere. I hope you enjoy this area, they sell fresh vegetables, flowers, clothes, cheese, and some fair food. A great place to walk around. Otherwise, parking is horrible. Good luck with that:)

Yelp
I am a big fan of farmer's markets in general, and I feel that especially in this market, the farmer's market goer can choose the option that fits the experience they want... This particular farmer's market is (as someone else said) the biggest, baddest farmer's market I think I have ever been to. It is impressive in size, scope and selection. I have no idea why it is not open all day on Sundays because certainly people would continue to shop there! It can take you a few hours if you take your time... At any rate, this farmer's market is just overloaded with things to see, taste and discover. The variety of food is everything from produce to meat to fish, etc. There is mad variety for food items. But what makes it perhaps so unique is that there is also a large variety of merchandise for sale, too. There's pottery, cutlery, craft items, clothes, etc. It's really kind of a hybrid between a flea market and a farmer's market. That said, it's a ton of fun if you are willing to make the time investment. Foodwise, I have never been disappointed with something I've purchased here. The produce is great, prices are competitive, merchants generally very friendly. And there's a dude in the far building that has the BEST garlic. I buy it by the bushel when we see him. Stuffwise, I have a grand time looking though rarely buy. But it is a pretty awesome place to stumble upon unique local crafts and artists. I guess I generally feel like this farmer's market is awesome, but sometimes it can be too big, too crowded, too hard to navigate, too hard to get to, too hard to park, etc. If all I need are a couple of produce items and some flowers, you're more likely to find me over at the St. Paul farmer's market, where I find it easier to navigate and get in out quickly. But if you want the spectacle or you have a really big shopping list, this farmer's market is totally where it's at. Just two different experiences for two different types of shopping trips. Take it for what you will.

Yelp
Oh how I love the Minneapolis Farmers Market! Nothing beats being outdoors on a summer or autumn day, surrounded by fresh produce, local products, and bouquets of stunning flowers. I have been to a few farmers markets around the Twin Cities and the Minneapolis market is definitely the largest, but in a good way. There are tons of vendors - meaning you can find anything you want/need and get some great deals while you're at it. I have been to the MFM numerous times, but went for the first time in years a few weekends ago. I left with three scarves, a crate of cherry tomatoes, three cartons of strawberries, a gorgeous bouquet of flowers, and fresh mozzarella for $35. Like I said, fantastic deals! I will definitely be making more regular visits to the Minneapolis Farmers Market.
google avatar

Angie O.

Yelp
I love this farmers market, great location. Tons of booths - and you get variety! Some twin cities farmers markets you have tables of the same things over and over, but here you don't get to much of that. Lots of fresh food made here and fresh lemonade my favorite in the summer! Flowers and herbs galore! Parking all over, under bridge/highway, street & lots. There is usually a clown entertaining for the children, remember to tip him :) You can buy other items that are not eatable. Such as clothing, sunglasses, yard decorations etc.

Yelp
Wow! I was super impressed. This is my 1st farmers market out here and it was so huge compared to anything back in Cali, where real estate is at a premium. I was so overwhelmed which wasn't helped by the fact that I didn't have the slightest clue on what I wanted to cook the next week. Note to self: "To avoid wandering around aimlessly with glassy eyes bring a shopping list!" Anyways, I can see why some don't like it here since it did seem like some of the vendor's didn't sell local stuff and a lot of the stuff I bought had stickers on it and just came out of a box. But, hey at 3 for $5, I don't really care if it's local or organic, it's a bargain and I'll just spray the stuff down with veggie wash to get rid of the pesticides. With those prices I stocked up on tons of veggies which I then had to scour the internet for recipes on what to do with them all... What I didn't like was the lack of fruit but then again it's the end of summer now so there isn't much fruit left to pick I guess. I did score the last ultra sweet "yellow" watermelon that I'm so sad that I'll have to wait until next year to have it again. I also got a "black" watermelon which I had never seen before, it didn't really taste any different to me but the uber chic color matched my outfit nicely. I did try try the roasted corn which was good but burned the roof of my mouth, so wait for it cool down or pay later! The footlong corn dog was good but the fresh cut fries were way too greasy for me. A fun way to spend a morning, I'll be back again soon with list in hand and I'll head straight to the back where all the good deals are!

Yelp
I have been to farmers markets far and wide. Our family regularly (as in every week) visitsthe Charleston Farmers market in South Carolina. (and its wonderful), The Minneapolis Farmers Market is fantastic for the variety of vendors, the fresh produce, meat, and flowers. The prepared food vendors are wonderful as well, Was not able to try most things, but the brats (fully loaded with peppers/onions) were super tasty. Coffee from Tiny Footprint is very good--they serve it at the market and sell it by the pound.

Yelp
As many have reviewed previously, parking is a big hassle and can work a nerve. The abundance of ginormous strollers trying to maneuver down the narrow aisles while some (not all) parents shoot that dirty exasperated look of "get out of our way" without so much as an excuse me grates on the nerve a bit as well. While I love Farmer's markets and outdoor vendors, I'm just not a big fan of this one. I do however appreciate that this market carries fruit which is a big bonus. Nice selection of other vegetables, plants and flowers.

Yelp
Love it. Great to meet the farmers themselves. Right now you can get rhubarb, Bok Chou, radish, spinach, scallions for fresh locally grown veggies. All the herbs you could want are available too! I was in search of more fresh vegetables but I don't think the season has them available yet. Id recommend taking a walk through the whole market, noting the farmers, the size and quality of the herbs/plants, and then buying after knowing which is the best deal.

Yelp
I travel a lot, and in any new city I visit i must go to their farmer's market... This is is probably in the top 3 I've ever been to (maybe alongside some I've seen in Canada). -It's an actual "farmer's market" ... not just a market. Many of the booths are actually ran by local farmers who grew what they're selling. Unlike some other cities "markets" its not people who just buy wholesale produce and resell it. -The pricing is amazing. You can get an entire bushel of tomatoes for $10. You can get a handful of heirloom tomatoes for $3. The same tomatoes I buy in Chicago cost over $5-6, if you can even find them. -The selection is out of this world... There is any type of produce you could ever imagine. Lots of the standard domestic type produce, but also a lot of produce used in Asian and other ethnic cooking. -The quality is incredible... A lot of organic selections as well as regular farmer stuff... It seems very competitive, which means very fresh high quality products for you. There wasn't a ton of meat selections from what I can tell, though. The produce aisles go on and on... Then there's also an aisle of crafts type stuff. The on site dining isn't as great as other markets I've been to, but there were some options. We had a giant fish/shrimp tacos, it was pretty good. We also ordered coffee from the coffee guy (I had a Chai actually), and he gave us a free order of fresh fried donuts. They were great. There's an ATM on site next to the main food stand. Parking was relatively simple... There is free parking on weekends under the bridge. It did get full and we had to doddle around a bit, but we squeezed in. We bought several pounds of heirloom tomatoes, the freshest cheese curds I've ever hard, several pounds of huge onions of various sorts, several pounds of smaller onions, fresh white beans, various peppers, eggplant, corn... and I'm sure I'm forgetting other stuff. all to take back to chicago where we don't have anything near as nice (:/!) A can't miss!

Yelp
I absolutely love coming to the Minneapolis Farmers' Market. It's so bright and colorful with all of the lovely flowers and produce. It is by far the biggest farmers market I have ever visited. There are many different vendors that sell all kinds of produce throughout the season. At the Farmers Market Annex next door, you can find all kinds of things from clothing, to food stands, to pottery. The one downside is that parking can be tricky and it can get very crowded. I'm looking forward to coming to the Farmers Market every weekend this summer. It really has become a highlight of my weekends and I look forward to my visit all week!

Yelp
I adore the Minneapolis Farmers Market! This is my go-to spot for fresh fruits and vegetables in the Twin Cities. I love seeing all of the local farmers' hard work and knowing where my goods come from. There is a variety of foods you can buy depending on which months you visit the farmers market. I personally love seeing all of the non-food products there as well. Whether it be clothing, jewelry, or pottery, they have it all! I always make sure to get a cup of the Organic Coffee they have available at two different stands there as well. This is one of my favorite places to go in the summertime...don't miss out! I mean, there's food, music, and prime time people-watching...what else could be better?
