Minnesota Dock and Lift

My wife and I moved into our forever home in January of 2022 and the property was in dire need of a new dock. I reached out to Minnesota Dock & Lift/Bricks Boatworks in April to obtain quotes. John Brick immediately responded to my online inquiry. John listened to what we wanted and recommended a product line specific to our needs, answered and discussed all our questions, and even answered my call on a Saturday morning when I had more questions and didn’t feel like emailing. John was transparent during the entire process and delivered on all written and verbal commitments he made. The one thing John said that I will never forget was when I asked him about payment terms, he said 50% down but what stood out was what he said about the final payment: “Final payment once you are completely happy” Never heard that before. The install team matched the experience we had thus far. They did exactly what we asked for and were extremely courteous and polite but I will never forget seeing them make sure all of the details were perfect at the end of the install which was around 6pm. We don’t live on the nicest lake or have the nicest house in Minnesota but their entire team made us feel like we did.

My new lift collapsed the day after it was installed. John was quick to send a technician and fixed it the next day. After the lift was fixed, it was no longer level. John said it’s unrelated to the collapse. It’s not easily fixed because the lift doesn’t have leveling feet. I wish John would have told me about this option and the benefit when he sold me the lift! I can’t find anyone to reset my lift right now. This urgent issue is creating a HUGE headache. I would not work with this company again. Update: John sent his barge and crew over to fix this issue today, during his busiest time of year. I really appreciate his quick attention. He has a great customer service mindset and makes sure his customers are taken care of. I would recommend him and would use him again.

I've worked with a few dock people/companies, and I was surprised and relieved to hear John's (and MN Dock & Lift's) commitment to quality service. I needed a fix for our boat lift, and John provided expert help, part recommendations, and easy to understand insight to help prevent future issues. I write very few reviews - and this 5-star review was easily earned.

These guys are very thorough and they don’t just show up by themselves. Most of the dock companies show up with one or two guys and the job takes weeks. These guys show up with a team and they are in and out. They showed up with a huge barge loaded with my dock and stayed until it was put in. Took almost 8 hours. The price was fair and the final product was better than I expected. Now I am waiting for them to find me a fair price on a lift. Recommend 100%.

Need to update store hours. Not open on weekends? Update: The staff contacted me the following Monday, figured out what I needed, and even delivered it to my house. They went above and beyond, hope they continue this kind of customer service and I will be coming back.

Summers are glorious in Minnesota but they are also very short. Demand for these services are extremely high. I’ve had nothing but positive and timely customer service from MN dock and lift every time I’ve worked with them. You can not go wrong working with these folks.

John and his team are the absolute pinnacle of lake shore providers! Not only do they have an unmatched knowledge of the lakes they service, the products they use, and the commitment it takes to satisfy us lakeshore owners, they are constantly trying to improve! Bravo MN Dock & Lift!

Great products, great value and great customer service! MN Dock and Lift is has the best customer service of any dock and lift company I have interacted with. I have worked directly with John (the owner). He is extremely busy yet he makes me feel like I am his only customer. Customer service is top notch in an industry where it is easy to treat customers like numbers. He takes my phone calls and knows my name...just like all his customers. I purchased a new dock system from him and he helped us find a used boat lift that we are very happy with. I would highly recommend using MN Dock and Lifts for any boat dock or lift purchased and use them to put your dock in the water in Spring and take it our in Fall.
