MN Slice, Animales Barbecue and Compass Eureka vegan bodega open | Eater Twin Cities

"Now open inside Keg and Case off West 7th Street in Saint Paul, MN Slice is serving huge pieces of pizza. The newest slice shop is the work of pastry master John Kraus, who also runs Patisserie 46 and the Rose Street Patisseries, and it offers basic cheese and pepperoni plus a rotating list of fun toppings pulled from neighboring vendors in the food hall — including meats from K’Nack, mushrooms from Forest to Fork, honey from Plan B and more — all on a fat sourdough crust." - Joy Summers

Mystery Pizza Stand at Keg & Case Has a Surprising Chef Behind It | Eater Twin Cities

"Launched by John Kraus, the world-renowned master of pastry and bread behind Patisserie 46 and Rose Street Patisserie, MN Slice opens Thursday, October 11 as a pizza stand inside the new Keg & Case food hall at the revitalized West 7th Schmidt Brewery. Kraus, who knows bread and local ingredients, decided to try pizza; MN Slice will build pies on a sourdough crust with large cheese and pepperoni slices always available, plus rotating flavors that highlight Minnesota ingredients — for example a tot hot dish pie featuring mushrooms from nearby stand Forest to Fork and a "Meat Raffle" pizza topped with K’nack sausages. Slices will cost $6–$10, and hours are Monday–Thursday 10:00 am–8:00 pm, Friday–Saturday 10:00 am–10:00 pm, and Sunday 10:00 am–6:00 pm." - Joy Summers

I went there with my mother as we were in town for Memorial weekend. It was not what I expected at all. The pizza was not greasy and you could tell they use better ingredients. I had the barbecue chicken pizza, which was delicious. The service was very pleasant and helpful, restrooms were clean. The atmosphere got a 4 out of 5 because it was a bit dark in there, some music would be great also. I will definitely be back.

The taste of the pizzas was very good, but the ingredient quality wasn't the best. The mushrooms were clearly canned, and the garlic knots tasted like they were baked from frozen. For the price, I expected better ingredient quality.

We had the pickle pizza and then just a half pepperoni and cheese o and knots, this was surprisingly good for small town pizza. Crust isn’t dense, it has the perfect amount of airy and chewy. Now if only they served beer 🤔… I will definitely get carry out again though.

Good food. Nice employees. The atmosphere doesn't make one want to stay a while tho. It's more like a get in and get out situation. No music was playing and most people where picking up carry out orders instead of eating in.

I was in town for work and decided to try this place tonight - establishment appeared inviting both inside & out. I ordered the Pizza Roll (Stromboli) and a side salad. Both were delicious & size-able for an affordable price. The lady at the counter was extremely friendly and clearly took pride in her work & the business.

The gf pizza was phenomenal & I'm surprised because usually gf crust tastes a little yucky. Great pizza 🍕
