Minocqua Popcorn and Puffs is a Northwoods treasure! Every time we visit Minocqua, this is one of our must stop spots. The popcorn is out of this world delicious. From the perfectly puffed cheese popcorn, which is seriously addictive, to the unique flavor combos that are always fun to sample. We’re especially obsessed with the mushroom popcorn kernels to take home. They pop up big and fluffy every time! But what really sets this place apart is the staff. They are always so warm, friendly, and genuinely happy to help. Whether you’re grabbing a quick snack or stocking up for a movie night, they treat you like a regular. If you’re anywhere near Minocqua, do yourself a favor and stop in. Your tastebuds will thank you.

I tell everyone I know who is going to or through Minoqua to stop because of how awesome the popcorn WAS. My son went up over Father's day weekend and I had him refill my container. I was SO DISAPPOINTED! It USED to be the best popcorn I'd ever had. Cheese flavored. I tore into it when he gave it to me and I can't stress how upset I was when it was orange colored oily popcorn! Absolutely no taste! My fingers were oily and didn't turn orange like real cheese popcorn. It didn't even tase remotely like cheese!!! I know how it used to taste and that was NOTHING like it used to be! Stop selling inferior product to save a buck! You might be saving a few pennies, but in the long run, you're losing repeat customers. My son's was the same way. We both threw it away. What a waste of money. I'm so embarrassed that I told him how good it was only to put that trash in my mouth expecting Deliciosness! Unless it's changes back to the way it was, I'll never recommend you again! And I've been a customer for many years. DO BETTER!

From the moment my mother and I walked into Minocqua Popcorn, we were greeting by an enthusiastic and welcoming staff. We were treated with samples of their latest popcorn creations and purchased two bags of the “white chocolate pretzel”, one for us and a tin for a friend. It was just as yummy as the sample I tasted and have been enjoying it for days. A great place for the popcorn lover while also having other great treats too!

Attentive staff, very friendly. The prices seemed a little high but they use high quality products to make their popcorn including real vanilla. Very cute store.

Went in expecting to get a bag of popcorn and ended up with 3. It's a little pricey but the bags are really full and there's quite a few fun flavors.

Some of the best popcorn I've had in a long time! Got the caramel and cheese mix (my favorite). It is delicious! The popcorn is completely popped, no dead kernels. When you get the mix, they mix it together right in front of you! One more thing, they can barely close the bag when the give it to you -no skimping! When you stop by please be sure to say hi to Hennessey (the bulldog)

Not good! Their version of Chicago mix, caramel and cheese popcorn, was sad. Very little caramel and an almost odd flavor. The mix available from Costco is a fraction of the cost and infinitely better. I won't bother comparing it to Garrett's in Chicago, except they charge almost the same for a vastly inferior product. Save your money and bring your own.

At the end of main street, there is this haven for us who love popcorn. I got sample the white chocolate popcorn which was good. Plus, my wife loves white chocolate so mixed it up Chicago style with cheddar cheese and caramel. The price is a little high but hey it is available. Also, I think the bags are larger than Chicago Garrette Popcorn. So, it won't break your bank. My wife and I are still finishing up the large popcorn and enjoying it since I returned back from work.

The pretzel popcorn was perfection and kettle corn as well. I got both in a small size mixed together. YUUM!! Also, props to the family owned team who were so kind and helpful. Minocqua popcorn = my happy place.

I love popcorn ALOT like maybe more than you should. My favorite snack. I really enjoyed my visit here with the helpful staff, yummy samples and options. I recommend you buy a big bucket as you receive a refill discount with it later if you save it and you can get different flavors in it too. I tried thier new potato puff snacks, not a big fan of the cheddar flavoring they use but OMG is the puppy chow flavor sooo good. I will definitely be sure to stop in here again on future trips.

I love popcorn, let's just get it out there. However, this takes popcorn to a whole new level. We went to their brand new location in San Diego and couldn't believe there was a Minocqua Popcorn place here. We fell in love with the pretzel popcorn and devoured it between 3 of us in almost one sitting. We are going back for the jalapeño flavor to take back home. You seriously have to try this stuff in Liberty Station Market. Once you get a bucket you get a huge discount on refills AND you can go online and order it for friends and family. Sooo delicious!!!

The popcorn is almost weighted down with the flavorings. The cheddar was really dense and not in a good way. At times I felt I was eating raw cheese powder (not good!), and I never thought I would say this about caramel corn, but they used too much caramel. The young man who was offering samples was very friendly and happy to let you try anything they had for sale. There was an older woman behind the counter who kept flirting with a gentleman who was with his wife/girlfriend! I thought they were friends until she asked where they he was from. It was just weird and kind of uncomfortable.

A cute friendly summer staff and all the popcorn you could choke on! sweet popcorn, candy flavored popcorn, coffee flavored popcorn, popcorn flavored popcorn.... it's like the Baskin Robbins of popcorn!! Light, fluffy & delicious. Only 4 star because I thought it was a little pricey - after all, it's just popcorn

It's always fun to stop in here when in Minocqua. The staff allows you to sample the different popcorns. The prices are pretty fair, if a little on the pricier side. Their selection is pretty good. Kettle corn, cheddar corn, and caramel corn are all there. Beyond that, they had some interesting flavors such as white chocolate pretzel, cheddar and chive, sugar cookie, some spicy jalapeno flavors (not my thing lol) and more. One tip is that if you are going to be staying in Minocqua for a little while, you can purchase a tub of the popcorn. This allows you to bring the tub back for discounted refills.

The positives to this place are it's location downtown, cleanliness and variety. The cons are its pretty expensive and the taste of the popcorn is mediocre at best. We got the caramel, white chocolate pretzel and chive/cheddar. Both of the sweet ones tasted way too similar. I couldn't find any ingredients listed also. But others that tried the two thought the same. Bummer.

A great small town popcorn place serving 6-7 different flavors of popcorn. I sampled the cheese, the caramel and the chocolate/caramel flavors and all were very tasty. Flavor is not the issue with this place but price is another story. As others have said the prices are quite high. My small bag of regular popcorn was almost $4. Minocqua popcorn is a fun place to stop as you shop around the downtown area but the prices will keep some from heading back.

Great store in downtown Minocqua. Staff is very friendly. They allow you to sample all the flavors you wish. Popcorn is delicious. Will definitely be going back!

This is our must stop every weekend on our way to our cottage. The quality of the popcorn is worth every penny...oh, and we have it shipped to our home in the winter!

The popcorn here is absolutely delicious. We took home bags of jalepeno and kettle corn popcorn, but they barely made it out of town before being devoured. The staff, however, were quite rude. We were not treated as welcomed customers. They hastily offered us samples using a "welcome" line that sounded like it had been worn out the moment they opened. I understand that we did arrive close to the closing time, but we certainly shouldn't have been treated so poorly. An older man and woman, probably the owners, were also speaking down to the younger employee right in front of us. Not very good for business.
