The Spots Of The Summer, Miami Edition - Miami - The Infatuation

"It’s vampire season in Miami—that time of year when people draw their curtains and use umbrellas for both the sun and daily torrential downpours. That’s where Mint Beirut comes in. This excellent Lebanese takeout operation will get you through the summer nights when you can’t be anything but an indoor pajama gremlin. They’re on all the major delivery apps, too." - ryan pfeffer, mariana trabanino, virginia otazo

The Best Lebanese Restaurants In Miami - Miami - The Infatuation

"Mint Beirut is a takeout-only spot on West Flagler Street where a daughter and her parents cook an outstanding menu of Lebanese classics. We love their silky baba ghanoush, lamb chops, and giant falafels. They’re warm, nutty, and crack apart like sunbaked clay. Mint Beirut’s baklava is also the perfect reward for being your dog’s therapist while stuck at home during a summer thunderstorm. Give him a little grilled chicken from your shawarma wrap. He might not appreciate the nuanced spices and bright flavors, but we do." - mariana trabanino, virginia otazo, ryan pfeffer

Google
Mint Beirut is an absolute must-try in Miami! The food is incredibly authentic and full of fresh Lebanese flavors — everything tasted homemade and delicious. Portion sizes are generous, and the lunch special is one of the best deals in town. The owners are so welcoming and provide top-notch service that makes you feel right at home. Even the music playing while you wait adds to the great atmosphere. Highly recommend trying their grilled chicken, tabbouleh, falafel, and garlic fries — everything was spot on. I’ll definitely be back!

Google
Everything on the menu is 5 stars in terms of freshness, quality (taste true to authentic) and portion size. You won't find better Middle Eastern fare anywhere in South Florida. Service level is top notch. Place an order and what you consider treating yourself will become a weekly visit. MB is game to serve you 52 times per year 🇱🇧 LFG!

Google
Mint Beirut is the most authentic, highest quality Middle Eastern/Lebanese I've eaten at. There are several Middle Eastern restaurants throughout South Florida and although most of them might offer a larger sit-down atmosphere, the food cannot compare to Mint Beirut. I travel the country for work and regularly frequent Middle Eastern restaurants throughout the US. From Miami to Las Vegas, I can't name a restaurant that has better tasting Lebanese food. Delivery is an option as well. Treat yourself to the very best 🇱🇧🇱🇧

My workplace recently ordered lunch from this spot for the entire office, and it was absolutely delicious. Some coworkers even went back on their own and described it as a “hole in the wall with very limited space,” but despite that, I was excited to try it with my family. When we arrived, the place was empty, which I took as a good sign since there were two tables and chairs available — I assumed we could dine in. Unfortunately, that’s when things started to go downhill. The man working didn’t greet us. When he finally acknowledged us, he told us to wait. I figured he might be working alone, so I waited patiently. Eventually, he asked if I was ready to order, and just as I began, he stopped to help two delivery drivers who had just walked in. When he returned to take my order, he started arguing with another man who was preparing food. I asked a question about one of the dishes, and he responded with clear annoyance and zero interest in helping. After I paid, he walked away without another word. We sat down thinking we’d eat there, but when he called me over to pick up our order, he handed us a paper bag. I asked if it was okay to eat there, and he bluntly said it was carry-out only. We left, disappointed but still looking forward to enjoying the food at home. Sadly, that didn’t happen. When we opened the bag, we found pita bread with visible mold. That was the final straw. I paid for food that ended up in the trash. The food might be good when catered, but the customer service was awful, and serving moldy bread is inexcusable. I won’t be returning, and I can’t recommend this place after such an experience.

Google
Happened to find this place randomly when looking for a place grab a bite to eat for lunch. It’s a bit ways away from my job, but oh man was it worth it! It was by far the best Lebanese food I’ve had in Dade County. From the moment I walked in and was greeted by the resplendently beautiful woman who took my order, to the last bite of that beef Shawarma, everything was perfect to the last bite. She’s definitely earned a customer and will be back soon!

Google
Delicious! The freshest Lebanese salad I’ve had in Miami. The hummus was incredible and the Tabbouleh was sooo good! They also have a lunch special for $15, with a generous serving. The mint lemonade was excellent. Seating is limited but is perhaps one of the best takeout lunch value in the area. Highly recommend! *Support a local family owned business

Google
YALLLAAAAAAAAA. Yall, this has to be one of my FAVORITE Lebanese restaurants in Miami. Not only is it family run, but it is the CLOSEST Lebanese food you’ll get to actually being in Lebanon or even my grandmothers cooking (don’t tell her I said that). It’s so good that even as takeout it’s still tastes as fresh as they just served it to me in the restaurant. Each time we’ve gone it’s been phenomenal. Can’t recommend this place enough. Arreba tayyib!

Yelp
I am always looking for new spots to order take out and the other day I discovered Mint Beirut. Wow, I am so happy I did! This food is authentic and absolutely delicious. I ordered the lunch shish plate with rice and Greek Salad. It was a huge portion and just under $17 - a steal in my book. I read other reviews and heard that the chicken shawarma, and the lamb chops are delish so I need to make some other orders soon. I'm also a huge fan of grape leaves, so those will be next on my takeout hit list. So happy this spot is right by my place, and offers affordable mediterranean food.

Yelp
Let me first say that Lebanese food is my favorite food. I am very picky with my Lebanese food. In Miami there are only a few that reach the good status for me. I recently found this spot on Door dash and I absolutely love it ! It is authentic Lebanese food ! Everything is fresh. I love the lunch special with chicken and hummus. The hummus is so flavorsome. It is a grab and go spot. Casual. Food is to be enjoyed at home. Family owned business. I love ordering from here ! Highly highly recommend. I need to try the dessert from here.

Yelp
Wonderful, "Pick Up" Mediterranean spot nearby! So happy to have found Mint Beirut...my 89 yr old Cuban Lebanese mom loves Mediterranean food but these days it's hard to get her out to a restaurant and many times when ordering take out the food never transfers well but at Mint Beirut it's close and they pack it well so gets home as fresh as you picked it up! Melissa and her mom are a delight ready to serve you with a smile and their recipes are on point. Great portion sizes and clean well kept location. They may be in a spot with not much parking but since it's pick up the lot attached to their bldg normally has spots available for you to zip in and out and I know you won't be sorry once you try the taste and quality of their food. I will definitely be back to try other menu items.

Yelp
My son and his girlfriend found this gem and kept raving about the food. They were 100 percent accurate! Every plate was fresh, vibrant, and full of flavor. From zesty herbs, silky hummus & baba ghanoush to perfectly grilled meats& veggies, every bite was satisfying, and unforgettable! Added to my favorites list!

Yelp
Staying close to the Miami airport and decided to order DoorDash for dinner. I wanted and needed something healthy so I found Mint Beirut and ordered their large Greek salad with chicken. There's no need to write much more than THAT SALAD AND BREAD AND DRESSINGS WERE AMAZING! Fresh, flavorful and filling! Such a great meal!

Yelp
Came in with my husband on a Sunday afternoon to have a bite after a workout. We were very impressed with the quality of the ingredients and the preparation of the food. The meats were very well seasoned and tender. Service was good for a small restaurant that feels much better suited for take out give it's small and with limited seating. Food came out super quickly. Make sure to ask for triple garlic sauce. It's addicting!!!
google avatar

Jessica G.

Yelp
First time I ordered a lunch platter and I wasn't disappointed! I usually just get the wrap, but this platter allowed me to get a better serving of hummus and a nice serving of salad! I'll be full for the entire day! Delicious!
google avatar

Leslie G.

Yelp
Probably not a sit-down spot, but the food is great. The wrap was really toasty, fries inside the wrap were a nice touch, and the chicken was flavorful with just the right amount of garlic. Everything tasted fresh and filling, portions were a good size, and the pricing felt fair.

Yelp
The menu is diverse with all the usual dishes. The owners are super friendly and are very helpful and happy to have us there. The food was delicious. The humus and lebneh had their own twist of taste. The tabbouleh was plentiful, a bit too lemony for me but my wife loved it. The shawarma was moist and flavorful. 3 small side tables to eat on there. Mainly a takeout place. Very good all around.

Stephane G.

Yelp
I love this place! I most often order takeout from this establishment when I'm in the mood for a mediterranean meal. The quality of the food is a great, good serving sizes, and well priced as well. i often get the falafel and their signature salad if you want to go for something healthy that never disappoints. The service when you order from this place is always impeccable and quick. You can tell they put focus on their attention to details to satisfy their guests.

Yelp
I am fortunate enough to live very close to this place, so I have been able to try it a few times. The food is super delicious and authentic. I love the cheese pies. The hummus is super well made. I feel the portions are super fair and their toum is great. All the employees are super nice. It's a pretty small place but there is seating to sit down and eat.
google avatar

Yelp
Our Easter Lunch wasn't complete without Mint Beirut. We complemented our Lunch with Hummus, Baba Ghanoush & Falafels!! Everything is freshly made, you can taste it!!!!! The smoothness of the hummus & baba ghanoush... heavenlike!!! and those Falafels.... Omgoshhh! Have you ever seen Falafels so big..??? And full of chick peas, no fillers!!! and the Pita, we made them chips... so delicious!!! And... and... and... a market and a bakery coming soon!! Can't wait to check it out

Yelp
This place is delicious! The grape leaves are out of this world. I recommend chicken shawarma with the garlic sauce or the lamb chops. Yum

Yelp
The people are great chicken swarm was a little dry. The desert was very good. Falafal needs to be moist over cooked.

Yelp
As a lover of all Arabic and Mediterranean food, discovering Mint Beirut was the highlight of my weekend. I passed by my friend's house yesterday as she had ordered it and tried a bite although I wasn't hungry... so glad I did because it was delicious! I wasn't hungry and was heading out so I didn't eat more but that bite left me craving a chicken shawarma and that spinach pie I was eyeing in the corner -- hehe. Today... a rainy Sunday afternoon I knew I had to satisfy my craving. We ordered 2 chicken shawarmas, and two spinach pies and the total was $40. Food was so fresh; the chicken was tender, filled with Arabic pickles, toum, lettuce, and fries. The spot is pretty small and made to stop by for pick up or delivery, service was nice and fast. It's definitely a good spot if you're trying to grab a quick and yummy bite!

Yelp
Delicious and fresh fattoush salad made with yummy house-made fried pita chips and grilled chicken. The dressing and garlic yogurt on the side was also so tasty. Highly recommend! I wish I could order everything--it all looked so good.
google avatar

Mica L.

Yelp
This food was so good we talked about it all night. Everything tasted so fresh, light, & flavorful. We literally LOVED the food. This is the best middle eastern food I've ever had. *drops mic*

Yelp
Words cannot describe how perfect this restaurant is! Mint Beirut is hands-down my favorite Mediterranean spot in Miami. Gives you a break from all the Latin American restaurants all over town. It's a small place but very much cozy. As a Navy recruiter, (sadly had to move back to L.A. since the end of my contract) I'd always go there on my lunch breaks, and the food never disappointed--fresh, flavorful, and authentically Lebanese. The family that run the restaurant are very nice people and the Mother and daughter always treated me very kindly. If you're craving real Mediterranean flavor with heart and soul, this is the place. Get the Shawarmas!

Yelp
Ordered take out twice in 1 week. Food was well seasoned and delicious. Thank you for taking your food and craft seriously and for working hard to satisfy your customers.

Yelp
Such an awesome experience. Me and the 2 people I was with were so happy too. Really authentic great food. The owner was very nice & welcoming. Everyone should come here!!! 10/10.

Yelp
Came hungry and left more than satisfied. The food here is incredible...fresh, savory and full of flavor and the service and team were so helpful. Highly recommend

Yelp
The food was amazingly good. The Shawarma wrap was delicious. Service was friendly and helpful and the seating was private. Good for quick eating. Very clean place.

Melanie B.

Yelp
I'm sorry, I never do this but this place was horrible. I got the chicken shawarma and let me tell u nothing about that was authentic. Also they burnt my pita so bad to the point tht it actually tasted bad. Also their chicken is very plain so seasonings just overall a 3 out of 10
google avatar

Hilda J.

Yelp
I work in the area and was craving a falafel pita a couple of weeks ago; it was very good. But what brought me back is the service, friendly and on time (important when you have limited amount of time for lunch) and their delicious baklava. Today I was hungry but working on a deadline so I called omw to the restaurant and it was prepared and ready to go. However, when I got back to my desk and took my first bite, I knew this is something to savor. Absolutely the best Mediterranean food I've had in Miami. Don't miss this little gem!

Peter V.

Yelp
Mint Beirut is a real gem! Melissa and her dad make the most amazing Lebanese food. My wife is 1/2 Lebanese and I've tried my fair share of Lebanese/Middle Eastern restaurants and this is one of the best spots anywhere. We went here several times now and the food is always amazing! The chicken shawarma wrap is the best I've ever had and the Fattoush salad and baba ganoush are excellent. The falafel wrap was also amazing and was enormous. This has quickly become a favorite spot for us and we plan to keep coming whenever we are in the neighborhood! Well done Melissa!
google avatar

Catherine J.

Yelp
I have eaten from the place a couple times, the quality each time has been amazing! The first time I went with my father we wanted to try the whole menu because everything looked so good, one of the workers there helped us narrow down our options, she was so attentive to us. It was a small place, seemed like more of a takeout restaurant. Since then I have been ordering take out from there and the quality still does not disappoint, one of my favorite restaurants in Miami!!

Miriam L.

Yelp
Staying in a hotel nearby. Good food and friendly service. 3 small tables - mostly carry out, though our party of 3 dined in just fine.

Ana L.

Yelp
Some of the best Mediterranean food I've ever tasted in my life! Flavors were amazing. The chicken was delicious, perfectly seasoned and cooked! Must try!

David B.

Yelp
Wonderful, family-run authentic Lebanese restaurant with a small area for dine-in seating. Delicious sheesh tawook and baba ganoush. Everything we saw looked delicious, all hand prepared on site and fresh. Highly recommend!

John S.

Yelp
So delicious! We had fattoush, hummus, baba ganoush and chicken shawarma. Everything was perfectly spiced and prepared. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Jahsmin B.

Yelp
The chicken shawarma wrap was absolutely amazing. Made super fresh and everything was well seasoned. The lentil soup was the perfect addition. Definitely did not disappoint.

Sam V.

Yelp
I have never offered a review without trying the food. I often wondered how can it be possible until today. I read so many positive reviews so I had to try them out. I entered at around 2pm and the place was empty. There was a middle aged man cooking chicken on the grill. I waited and watched for about 5 minutes then I said loudly ARE YOU OPEN? He turned and smirked and said Yes! He went right back to cooking. I was shocked. I waited again to see if he would say anything else, nope just continued cooking the mounds of chicken on the grill. I waited some more, then left! There are plenty of places to give my hard earned money and not be ignored!
google avatar

Elizabeth P.

Yelp
Food is fantastic. Not cheap, but oh so good. Authentic, fresh, nice portions, quality ingredients and great customer service and did I mention super clean. Unlike other middle eastern/Lebanese places, the food does not come out of a freezer bag nor is it precooked . Hummus is homemade and you can tell. The tabbouleh was made infront of my eyes, the kibbeh has plenty of meat and made to order and, the chicken shawarma- OMG absolutely delish. Cannot wait to return and add dessert to the meal. Seating is limited but available. Rear parking. Lots of vegan options.
google avatar

Trevor E.

Yelp
I tried it out because of the high reviews, but it wasn't great and it was super expensive (just the shawarma with no side ended up being about $25 with delivery). I ended up getting the chicken shawarma because it was apparently the most popular item. I found it to be quite dry. The wrap was sort of gritty. I definitely prefer a toasted pita that you would normally get with a shawarma.

Jarah G.

Yelp
Amazing falafel & hummus and delicious baklava, as well as super-friendly service. Great experience all around.
google avatar

Lynda S.

Yelp
Staying in the area before a morning flight, I wish I had more time to get more items on their menu. I got the appetizer trio with hummus, baba ghanoush and a Greek salad and it's delicious! I will definitely be back the next time I'm in the area.
google avatar

Isady T.

Yelp
The food here was delicious, a total hidden gem I had no idea was close to my house! The staff was super friendly and answered any questions I had about their menu.

Leah F.

Yelp
So delicious!! My food is fresh every time I order from here. Their hummus is to die for!! Staff is pleasant as well. Love this place!
google avatar

James K.

Yelp
Let me begin by thanking Google and Yelp for helping unearth this hidden gem. I was immediately enveloped by the hospitality offered by Melissa, whose smile greeted my coworker, and I like a gentle sunbeam on a cloudy day. The food was exquisite! The babaganoush, a symphony of smoky eggplant and velvety tahini, danced on my palate, while the succulent chicken tawook, adorned with aromatic spices, was a gastronomic masterpiece. I will certainly return to try more of what this amazing place has to offer.
google avatar

Randi M.

Yelp
I was stuck at a hotel with no car and it was pouring rain. I perused Grub Hub and saw the great reviews. I ordered the "lunch plate" of chicken tawook. It was chicken breast which I appreciate. It was super flavorful, however, it was a touch too salty. Same with the rice. The Greek salad was super fresh. I paid 2.00 extra for Feta cheese. The salad dressing was flavorful as well. I wish they would include a bit of hummus with the plate. I also wish they would include some pita, I had to pay extra for that. The lunch portion was enough for myself and my wife to share.
google avatar

Mariam A.

Yelp
Best chicken shawarma in miami and the closest to the authentic one. Sometimes not consistently good so need to watch out for quality control but overall its my go to for shawarma and i eat here more than once a month .
google avatar

Matt D.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic and authentic Mediterranean cuisine. I got the Fattoush salad, and was amazed at how well flavored it was. What a treat! It was a family business with very kind and helpful service. The place was a little small, but it contributed to a nice homey atmosphere. Overall, loved it!
google avatar

Lindsay F.

Yelp
This little spot is a hidden gem. So grateful for Yelp that I found it while searching for lunch while driving between clients. Staff was friendly and the lunch chicken platter was incredible. The chicken was grilled to perfection and the fattoush salad had all the best flavors. Will definitely be a repeat customer.

Dania V.

Yelp
Fantastic Lebanese food, everything we tried was on point, the kibbeh , salad, sausages, deserts. It is an unassuming place, not for a fancy dinner or a romantic date but definitely the place for delicious authentic Lebanese food. I do have Lebanese family and it felt like eating at my family home with cherished recipes. We eat inside but the space is very small. Will work better for takeout or delivery, there is plenty of parking.
google avatar

Michelle P.

Yelp
I just left there for the first time but it def won't be my last. I could tell from how immaculate it was & the clean decor that they had pride in ownership & that it was going to be good. The daughter gave me her recommendations for her fave & her mom got to cooking. I cannot accurately describe just how good this food is! It's so fresh & light yet so filling. I'm obsessed! The service, food, ambiance 10/10. New fave spot
google avatar

Dave B.

Yelp
**GREAT** service and we really enjoyed the food. I had the chicken shawarma, and my wife had the beef shawarma - both were delicious. Garlic sauce was great! The tabbouleh was delicious, as was the Greek salad. We'd definitely eat here again.
google avatar

Bassem K.

Yelp
When I ordered a shish kafta sandwich today, Melissa (the owner) told me this will be the best kafta sandwich you've ever had. AND IT WAS!! Granted I've had many given that I'm Lebanese. The meat was perfectly grilled, and the sandwich had all the delicious fixings and was perfectly toasted. It was very generous and filling as well. Great owners and delicious Lebanese food.
