mipig cafe Kyoto

We had sooo much fun here! Came across the mipig cafe when walking around the outdoor covered Kyoto mall and thought, why not. We were so glad we did. 30 minutes of just pure laughter and fun. The pigs are clean as is the cafe and well taken care of. We bought 30 minutes but you can purchase a longer time. They provide soft blankets to cover your legs and you sit down along a wall and they bring the pigs to you and the pigs also walk up right to you and settle down to rest on your lap. You’re not allowed to pick up or grab a pig. There are multiple floors so even though it looks small from the outside there is enough pigs and rooms to accommodate a number of clients. There are lockers for your bags and shoes. You can also purchase a group photo which we did. You can also take as many photos with you phone camera as you would like too. Would definitely recommend this for all ages. Our room accommodated about 12 people and each of us had at least 1 pig and usually 2 at any time.

We loved our visit with the mini pigs. We sat on cushions with blankets on our laps and they crawled all over all of us. It was a great family experience.

The micropigs are SO cute! Especially the mini ones:) the pigs were swarming around me and they loved piling on top of your lap! Although they make a chewing noise, the staff told us that it’s normal as they can’t comprehend feeling full, so they chew, as if chewing gum. I highly recommend coming here as it is a therapeutic experience:):):)

Very good activity in Kyoto for a chill relaxing day. A room full of cute pigs as entertainment and love to cuddle. At one point had 7 pigs in a pile in my lap 🥺

⛔️ The staff ask you for a good Google review in exchange for a discount. 🐷 The pigs didn’t seem to be in good shape, and they were attacking the younger ones, some bad blood on them. They have nothing to do in a really small room, they drool and chew constantly. When one of them relieved itself on the floor, a staff member came to take it upstairs. This was followed by very loud noises coming from that floor, and the person supervising seemed embarrassed. In short, I do not recommend participating in this. Moreover, it’s not really a café, as there are only a few extremely thin cushions to sit on and just three drink options.

I loved this Pig Cafe so much, it had amazing service by the staff and the cutest little pigs. There was so many fun moments and worth it for the great price.

The pigs were very cute and the staff were very helpful 🥰 I had a pleasent time. But be careful because some of the pigs may bite, but it wasnt too bad, and also the staff is very attentive and if anything goes wrong they immediately help you. All in all it was good 🫶🐷

I came across this place just by Chance and I’m glad I did. I’ve been to a few Dog cafés and cat cafés in Japan and nothing compares to this. As soon as I got here, all the pigs rushed to me and piled on top of me. They were also cute and friendly. Much more friendly than the dogs and cats. They were not food motivated, they just wanted to be around you. This was easily my favorite experience in my two week trip to Japan.
