Mirabelle Review - Beaver Creek - Vail - The Infatuation

"Mirabelle, located in a charming farmhouse near the entrance of Beaver Creek, has been around for over 40 years and makes some of the best French food in town. Go with the four-course tasting menu, which may include things like a tuna tartare, Maine lobster with savory chorizo sauce, roasted duck with pickled mushrooms, and a smooth vanilla crème brûlée to finish. If the fireplace lounge and candlelit dining area feel like rooms at your wealthy aunt’s cottage, that’s because the chef and his wife actually live upstairs. We think they should turn the whole place into an alpine bed and breakfast, but we’ll settle for coming here to celebrate a successful day on the mountain." - Kim Fuller

Have eaten at Mirabelle twice and had a great experience each time. There is a sign on the front door saying something like the building used to be a house built in the 1700s, that’s really key because the atmosphere is very cozy inside. Especially around Christmastime, the decorations really remind me of someone’s house rather than a restaurant! They had live music too the second time I was there, and fireplaces, it’s very nice. The food is good, first time I had a burger which was excellent. The second time I was there for a special event so the menu had specific options, but it was also very tasty. The service is good as well. I recommend a trip to Mirabelle, especially around Christmastime, and I recommend trying one of their burgers.

We always ask to sit in restaurant instead of tavern. Peaceful, lovely atmosphere. Food always excellent as is service. We had panisse for an appetizer, my favorite! I had duck tacos, delicious. No room for dessert. A lovely dining experience!

The food was excellent! 😋 Service was friendly and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The menu had a great variety of choices. Fish n Chips and goat cheese salad were delicious... duck, lamb chops, and burgers all looked great! We'll be back again soon.

The raw clams and oysters were fantastic. The Frutti de Mare was wonderful. The dessert bar was very nice. We had a waitress that was extremely nice and attentive to us. She looked like Belle from Beauty and the Beast. A little pricey but the food was worth it!!

I haven’t been here for a while. Great spot to stop for a drink and appetizers. Our waitress was excellent. Our martini’s were made to perfection. (Would have likes it in a martini glass). We ordered the cheese board, and it was delicious! Menu was very limited, would be nice to see more bar area choices for a quick bite. Looking forward to going back.

Impeccable food and service! Update: We came back here for the 3rd time on 09/16/23 for my mother's birthday, and service was beyond atrocious. Food wasn't as good this time around. We waited for more than 1 hour for our dinner. We won't be returning again!

Must-try: scallop. Due to COVID-19, you need to make reservation to dine in. Luckily, we visited there and made reservation at the front desk. Half an hour is not that long to wait for. For appetizer, we ordered scallops. It is soooo delicious. We ordered the duck and fish for main dishes. The sauce for fish is creamy. They also have eggplant in it. I like the taste but if it is another color, it might be better. For the duck, it has sweet photo and nuts in it. Highly recommend to have a nut per bite. It really changes things. ;) Great taste and nice service~

My wife and I went there for the first time tonight. A friend recommended it for our anniversary. The atmosphere is really nice and cozy. Food is fantastic. The New York Strip was one of the best I ever had!! The octopus appetizer is exquisite. There is a restaurant and tavern area. The restaurant area is definitely quieter than the tavern area so we opted for that. It’s absolutely worth the price. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a nice night out.
