Mirabelle

"Without a shadow of a doubt, the view of Rome from this restaurant situated on the penultimate floor of the Splendide Royalhotel has few equals: from Villa Medici to Trinità dei Monti, and St Peter’s to the Gianicolo, the only way to enjoy a better view is to head up a floor to the hotel’s new Adèle lounge bar for an aperitif or after-dinner drink. Excellent service (especially in the evening) and modern yet traditionally influenced cuisine make this one of Rome’s best fine-dining restaurants." - Michelin Inspector

Amazing dinner. Highly recommend. Worth the price! View was amazing. Staff was so attentive; I never had an empty water glass. Emmanuel was such a great waiter. Live piano and singer. Food was delicious. Cannot say a bad thing.

Amazing experience - one of our best meals in Rome and in our trip in Italy. The service, view, food and atmosphere was 100%. We ordered a 2 course and 3 course meal respectively, starting with a glass of Rose champagne each (Laurent Perrier) to match the color of the sunset. Booked for 7pm to match it and seats on the patio are a hot commodity. They very smartly created these glass panels to preserve the temperature yet allowing guests to still enjoy the view. The inside area of the restaurant was old world opulence, and the lined the walls with mirrors to allow the guests inside to also enjoy the views. The food was amazing and the standout for us was the seafood platter as starters (some of the best sashimi/ carpaccio I’ve tasted, the shrimp especially was seasoned to my liking topped with sesame seeds), as well as the squid ink pasta with soup, and the salt baked fish. Would highly recommend for locals to visit for special occasion (the indoor area was booked out by a family celebrating someone’s birthday), or for tourists to bask in great service and the views of Rome. The wine menu was also very diverse, choices from all across different Italian wine regions (as well as French) and we got a Chardonnay recommendation from the sommelier from Piedmont.

A Perfect Birthday Celebration with Stunning Views and Exceptional Service. We recently celebrated my birthday at this exceptional restaurant, and the experience was everything I hoped. I had specifically asked for a table with a view, and the setting was absolutely stunning—exactly what I wanted for a special evening. We were dining with our two children, including our 15-month-old, and the staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. I asked for something simple for our daughter—just grilled chicken and pasta with butter—and they gladly accommodated. She loved it, which says a lot! The rest of us enjoyed a beautifully paced two-course meal plus dessert. The portions were generous without feeling overwhelming, and the presentation was elegant and thoughtful. Every dish was full of flavor and clearly prepared with care. The sommelier was knowledgeable and kind, helping us choose the perfect champagne to toast the occasion. Between the attentive service, the delicious food, and the breathtaking view, it was a truly memorable night for our family. Highly recommend this restaurant for any special occasion—or simply if you’re looking for a place that gets everything right.

I had the red prawns with the pasta which was absolutely delicious. Ended the lunch with a cappuccino which was on another level. Icing on the cake was the views.. overlooking the city of Rome and you can see St. Peter’s Basilica. A definite must-visit when visiting Rome ❤️

Google
they have a really good view and ambiences. will be perfect if you go there with your spouse because it's very romantic! but for the food, i can say it's nice

Google
The view was absolutely phenomenal and it was the perfect setting. There was live music for a large portion of the evening which had a good assortment of contemporary pop and then afterwards there was very nice ambient jazz music. We had amazing service from our waitress Ludmila who was attentive, organized, super professional, and very welcoming. We also had very great wine recommendations by the sommelier, Fabrizio. The food was amazing and they served very generous portions. I will definitely come back and I highly recommend this experience.

The view for dinner is perfect. Rome is a beautiful city. The food was very good, but for a Michelin Star restaurant I expected it to be WOW but it wasn’t. Still great dinning experience and the service is very well top rated.

My husband and I had an incredible experience at this restaurant a couple of years ago during our anniversary celebration. Inspired by our wonderful experience, we decided to bring my in-laws here for dinner during our visit to Rome. The restaurant offers breathtaking views, exceptional service, and an ambiance that makes us feel at home. We opted for the chef’s tasting menu, which was an absolute delight. The food was delectable, the wine pairing was excellent, and the service was impeccable. Special thanks to our server, Ludmilla, whose attentiveness and warmth made the evening unforgettable; she truly made us feel like family. We also appreciated our sommelier, Fabrizio, whose extensive knowledge, kindness, and professionalism contributed significantly to our enjoyment. I look forward to returning in the spring and hope to encounter the same exemplary staff on our next visit. Thank you for your excellent food, your service, and your friendliness. You will forever be my favorite spot in my favorite city. See you all soon.

Yelp
Mirabelle is a very fancy award-winning restaurant in the Hotel Splendide Royale in Rome. The restaurant has an amazing view of Rome through its floor to ceiling glass windows and many of the tables are on the windows. We ate as part of a group and had a fixed 4 course menu. All of the items were unique, tasty, and well-plated. The food quality and presentation was top notch. Also, the service was very attentive even for a large group. If you go, understand that the price of entry right now is 110 euros for 2 courses, plus any wine or extras. For a very special night out, Mirabelle will fit the bill.

Yelp
Service was great! Attentive and thoughtful. Ambiance was ultra classy and ok lighting and better than average acoustics. The ravioli were a little al dente--not unpleasantly so but just a hair undercooked. The stuffing was delicious with creamy cheese and chopped up spinach. The salmon was juicy with a perfectly seared top and tasted delicious. The veal was brought out undercooked but when it came back it was with the wait. Wow--was it great. It was tender and spiced prudentially to a delicious end. There was no crust, per se--but that did not detract from the taste.

Yelp
To start off this place has an amazing view of the city-instagram worthy pics for sure. Dress fancy- I wore a cotton dress and my husband wore khakis and a button down shirt and while we weren't underdressed, there were full length dresses and suits on most people. We were seated outside for our dinner, which was great. We were greeted promptly and service throughout the meal was great. We dhad pre-booked the 3 course menu, but I got the sense you could change once you got there. The menu included an appetizer, choice of a first or second course and dessert. The stand out for me was the carrot gnocchi ; it was one of the top 2 gnocchi I have ever had, the nuts on top made the dish. My husband had the octopus and while it was difficult to cut, it wasn't tough to eat. We opted to add some dishes for a total of 9 plates between 2 people, and it was the perfect amount of food. The meal was good, but not as stand out as some of the other pairings we have done. Wine pairing was great.

Yelp
Great restaurant in Rome! It's a rooftop ambiance with a piano player. The staff is absolutely amazing! I was referred by my hotel. I ordered the first dish with the green spaghetti and I did not like it at all. I asked for something simple like regular spaghetti the Chef gets 10/10! It was soooooo delicious!!! Thanks for making my birthday weekend memorable. It is pricey about $150 per person but worth every $$

Yelp
Still an unbelievable view and courteous service. But, a few things were a bit off during my lunch today. The glass of champagne was the last one in the bottle, obviously left over from yesterday because my table was only the second one to arrive after they opened, and flat. The other wines by the glass I had with my meal were excellent. Usually the bread comes out piping hot, but not this time. It really is much better when warm. Expensive and not quite up to par today for the prices.

Yelp
Mirabelle is a hidden gem in Rome. This is hands down the most beautiful restaurant I've ever been to, from the interior decor, to the food, to the view over looking the Vatican. We stopped for lunch and got the two course meal. The oysters were some of the best I'd ever had and had gold flecks on the shell for presentation. The tagliatelle pasta with mushrooms was flavorful and had a unique flavor profile with dried blueberries and dehydrated raspberry powder as garnishes. It paired very well together! My husband got the beef tartar and the beef tenderloin and he was happy with both as well. The entire wait staff was happy and very attentive. I am happy he found this place and if we come back to Rome we will definitely be coming back for another meal.

Yelp
We were looking forward to dining here and celebrating a special occasion. However after making reservations two months in advance our table was in the worst possible location. The restaurant's appearance was dated with the feel of an old golf course clubhouse. View during the night was non existent. The service from the waiter was good. We should have left after the first course, soup and pasta was from a can. Main course could technically be called "food". I don't waste my time with writing reviews and would suggest not wasting your time or money with this one. It was only after we left we found our the Michelin rating was from 2017, about the same time the soup was canned. The restaurant is not associated with the hotel.

Yelp
This view is amazing! They could cut corners on the food and service but this place delivers on all fronts! We saw 2 birthday parties and one engagement (she said yes!) so this is definitely a special occasion restaurant. Get there early enough to have a drink on the top deck, the Sky Bar. I should have taken more photos for my review but I was enjoying myself too much to think about photos! Yum!

Yelp
Visited for lunch. The patio is enclosed in glass which makes it more reasonable for those who are not fond of outdoor dining. We were given a prime table and the view was spectacular. We each did a 3-course full menu for lunch and the food was great. Some of the other reviews would have you thinking that this restaurant is all about the view and nothing else... make no mistake, this is fine dining and totally deserving of the Michelin award.

Yelp
My fiance and I dined at this restaurant on our first evening in Rome, on Friday May 24th. We had a horrible experience. The food was fine, but not great, and came out cold when we finally received it. The service however was terrible, except for one kind woman who helped us toward the end of our meal. The overall attitude the service personnel had toward my partner and I was disrespectful. Tables around us were sat after us and received their food and left before we had our orders even taken. We were looking forward to a great experience considering the reviews, but had the opposite of a great time. To make matters worse, the waiter at the end of the meal requested a tip and stood watching while we filled out our already overpriced bill. We will be telling friends to avoid the restaurant. We are very disappointed we paid $500 for such a terrible experience. The only nice thing about this restaurant was the view.

Yelp
This is the worst place I've been to All year!! I spent $1500+ and had the worst service of my life the food is mediocre at best and the staff has a stuck up attitude we came here to celebrate at 1 year old bday and they sucked

Yelp
We made reservations here for our anniversary here mainly because of the gorgeous view. Hands down alone if I was to just rate the view it'd be a 4* review. However as an over all restaurant it's pretty mediocre. My husband I frequent a ton of Michelin star restaurants in the states and we usually walk a way very impressed. However the dinner here did not blow us away nor was it very memorable. Usually fine dining offers an amuse bouche and other tiny Chef's bites. They did this only at the dessert course and I already selected dessert as part of our 4 course dinner. Their wine list is very extensive from what my husband said but since I dont drink he didn't bother to get a bottle (which he said started at $100 a bottle.) He just got a martini instead and I had a mocktail. I would say come here if the view is the main goal but if you're a foodie this would be a pass.

Yelp
I could only think of the rigged Michelin star system as portrayed on the Netflix series "Emily in Paris." They are lucky to have a whole star. The only thing you are paying for here is the view which is nice if the host take care of you and get an outside table. Otherwise you're stuck inside which is not that impressive. Also despite the website stating: "gentlemen are requested to wear trousers and shirts. Shorts, men's sleeveless shirts and flip flops are not permitted in the restaurant during dinner." Yes it's hot in Rome in July but the clientele looked more ready to visit Disney World in Florida rather than a supposed classy establishment with a Michelin star. I went to the trouble of adhering to the dress code despite the heat - it felt more like an overpriced Olive Garden when I looked around. As for the food - we chose the 4 course a La carte. course 1 was a cous cous with a raw seafood platter. It was not bad. Maybe a 8 out of 10. Course 2 was a squid ink pasta with squid and octopus. 10/10 - was absolutely amazing and wish that's all I had was a larger portion. Course 3 (main) a beef filet that was ordered medium rare but came out medium well plus. After the long wait between courses I just ate it. Course 4 was a chocolate of some sort - cheated out of ice cream. And ordered order the soufflé but they were allegedly out. 7 of 10 since cheated of ice cream. 5/10 overall. Buyer beware. Do your research. I bet there are a lot other better Michelin ranked restaurants in Rome to choose from.

Yelp
Perfect-- Ambiance, presentation , service & live music. I would like to recommend our server, Emmanuelle, who was very attentive, conversational, thorough, knowledgeable and kind. Thank you for this experience. I hope to return one day in the future!

Yelp
Horrible experience, food and service is over priced. Waiter was pretty adamant we leave a tip. Our bill for two soups, two glasses of wine and one pasta dish cost euro 300.
google avatar

Nick S.

Yelp
You pay for the view, but they don't give you the view. We were seated inside behind a pole even though there were 4 tables open outside along the window. They charge 20 per glass for their most inexpensive wine (online the same bottle costs 9 for the bottle) and the portions are small and not very good. At the end the busser fished for a tip. I've never felt more ripped off in my whole life. Underwhelming food, overpriced wine and cocktails, pushy rude servers and a busser who fished for a tip in a culture where tipping is not necessary. The absolute definition of a tourist trap and quite honestly, the worst I have ever felt leaving a restaurant.

Valerie M.

Yelp
This was our first restaurant we dined at when we visited Italy. It is located on the 10th floor (if I recall correctly??) of an opulent hotel. Guys, this place is gorgeous. Definitely dresses and slacks with button downs-- don't come in your street clothes or you will be embarrassed. Wait staff is in full suit and tie. The menu had multiple vegetarian options which was much appreciated. My husband got the pesto and thought it was great. I must warn my American brethren, they don't use salt and pepper when cooking so you will need to ask for table salt. I had the eggplant and it was pretty good. The atmosphere and view were spectacular! I would also recommend for a special occasion.

KT J.

Yelp
The evening began with a pretentious and rude greeting. (No "Good evening and welcome." Instead, a surly "You must leave your table by 9pm.") It ended with the service of a nice but overworked and rattled waiter dropping dirty silverware on my shirt. This place is a mess. The view is fantastic and the food -- when the kitchen eventually got something to the table -- was good. The rest of the experience was so bad, it was almost (not quite) funny. It was 45 minutes between courses (A kitchen meltdown?), no wine service after first 30 minutes, pounding DJ techno music from an upstairs bar, the remarkably rude hostess, and wait staff on the floor wandering around and hiding because they didn't know what to do about the collapse. This seems to be a place hanging on to its past reputation while struggling with serious service and management issues today. You can do far better finding a great meal and view at a fraction of the price elsewhere in Rome.

Daniel M.

Yelp
So I can tell they have an issue trying to be a luxury restaurant but they get criticism for turning away poorly dressed Americans. My experience was the opposite. While awaiting our room we went up for a snack. Others were presented a bar menu as they were attired in flip flops, shorts and tee shirts while talking loudly on their phones, but we were only given the full menu option. It's quite expensive and fine for dinner but the bar menu would have been preferable as we were just waiting to settle into rooms. My takeaway is that they need to decide who they are. Either let in the sloppily dressed and go casual or maintain some standards. But you cannot have it both ways.

Yelp
Excellent restaurant. It is a Michelin restaurant and number 3 in Rome. I would like to keep in my mind the flavor of the lamb with figs and foie gras sauce and with the almond ice cream. Highly recommended.

Yelp
After planning an Amazing birthday party- the restaurant staff totally dropped the ball. The first five minutes went smotthly- and then it was as if they closed our side of the restaurant. We never received our Amuse Bouchè. My first plate was a risotto course- and it arrived cold, and shaped like a square hash brown. Definitely not what we expected. Cuisine was mediocre at best- and we all ordered the 2nd main course of Lobster. It was served cold style and in a salad. More of a luncheon dish and Hardly worth the extra supplement of an additional 30 Euros. We don't mind paying $250 per person for a dinner, but we should leave full and feeling like we were pampered. Neither happened this evening. Our wine sommelier was not very helpful. We had no budget and we each enjoy white and red wines. Typically we order 4 bottles at the minimum- but there was not a chance to order more. We ended up pouring our own wines ourselves and constantly needed to beg for water all night long. Definitely our table of 6 was forgotten about. Typically a good manager roams the restaurant checking on the guests. Not here. Tables around us seemed ignored and looking for service as well. We did notice the outdoor patio tables getting much more attentive service. It's also the smoking section so be warned if you don't like to inhale constant cigarette smoke throughout your meal. Everyone was smoking on the outside patio. I did eventually summon the manager aside in private , and I conveyed to him that I was embarrassed in front of my esteemed guests - who were expecting a decadent Michelin experience. They even forgot the fancy cake that I had special ordered in advance. In the end- the busser who serves the bread and replaces the silverware became our only waiter- and the rest of the restaurant staff began to break down tables, chat amongst themselves and clean up as if the place was closed. The most unwelcome feeling when you are sitting around with your dirty plates and waiting to order more wine, coffee and celebrate with a non existent Birthday cake. My husband had to basically stay behind to settle the bill. He had to actually get up and go find someone to pay. That was doubly insulting. All of our party guests went back to their rooms and not one said that they enjoyed the meal. Only the view. Lesson learned $1400 dollars later. Management knew we left unsatisfied but no one from the hotel followed up with us the rest of our stay. Positive Note: The Bar on The 8th Floor is Amazing. Ask for the bartender Michelangelo. He makes a stellar Pisco Sour. We tipped him $20 Euros each round, he is fantastic and one of the best bartenders I've had in Rome. They serve luxury chocolates with the fine Brandy selection. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
View was nice, one of the only good thing about this place. Asked for the tuna and it came out still flopping and with a heartbeat (not literally but it felt like it). Service was ok, cut up my food so it looked like I ate it and he came over and hovered over us with a hairy eyeball. I don't personally care about the dress code but saw people arguing with the waiter over their relative not being allowed in because he had shorts on (would like to say dress code is pretty clear though). Wouldn't recommend.

Jenny W.

Yelp
Terrible service, Terrible food and Terrible price. Ambiance is nice with great views but if only they seat you at the right location; otherwise, they will place you at the bad location even though the restaurant is not fully seated.
google avatar

Gladys M.

Yelp
I had high expectations for this place. But it was over priced and the service was average. We spent 3 hours there. My main entree cod was very undercooked. When we were finished we waited over 30 minutes for someone to come bring our check after no one came my husband had to go up front to ask for it.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing wait staff. Amazing food. Great view as well. Try to schedule your reservation for dusk for a great sunset view of the Vatican

Yelp
Absolute Ashtray. Sat outside for the views for a big anniversary, turned into a bowling alley. The food is good, but without the side of lung cancer.

Yelp
Amazing view of Rome , the place is hard to find but once you find it you will be very impressed by the views of the city . It's a very romantic place I love their drinks

Yelp
SEEK ELSEWHERE We had a horrible experience at Mirabella. It started off not bad - the views were good and the risotto was great. We picked and had a terrific first bottle of wine. We had asked to get a second and a sommelier had come over. He strongly suggested and urged for a second bottle and so we went splurged and went for it. A few minutes later, he came over and whispered in my ear that we had "agreed" to a different bottle of wine that was twice the price. Highly perplexed and not wanting to disappoint the table (and overly trusting), I agreed. He poured a yellow substance into my glass, I smelled an off-smell and took a small sip and he immediately blurted out that it was wine near a volcano. I wasn't familiar and so agreed that it was drinkable. Soon after, we all agreed it was worse than the cheapest gas station wine. Honestly, I feel like the sommelier was ditching some horrible, expensive bottle of wine they couldn't sell. I feel highly slighted and wouldn't tell the person below my worst enemy to go here. Avoid at all costs.

Yelp
I do not recommend this restaurant whatsoever. It's hard to believe that in 2017 they actually received a Michelin star. From the time we arrived till the time we left it was disappointment after disappointment. I didn't even take a single photo as the food was so mediocre. From the bread to the desert it was a complete waste of time and money. €200 for two glasses of wine one pasta and one fish. Nobody ever came by to ask us how her meal was. After 40 minutes we had to find someone to see if we could place a drink order. You'd be better off going to McDonald's. At least you wouldn't feel taken advantage of and you would be full. Service was so bad and you can see that from the top to the bottom there are clear management issues. Tried to speak to a few people and there was no sincere apology or acknowledgment of our disappointing service.
google avatar

Yelp
Save yourself some money and time. 5 star? No way. Don't dine here. To start the food is mediocre at best. We have dined at better street ristorantes in Rome by chance. But more so than the food, the service here is the worst. We asked for a terrace view since the best thing about this place is the scenic rooftop view and were told it is completely booked. An hour into our bread service we saw 2 empty tables on the terrace that were not seated and inquired why we were not seated there. So they moved us and we were now seated where we should have been seated an hour ago. Fast forward 1 hour and 30 mins later we had not been served the main course! We waited patiently till we could not wait anymore and asked where our food was. They told us 5 min. Food came and it was cold, with no flavor. What a terrible experience for our first dinner in Rome. On a positive note, wine was good and it could only get better than this. Don't come here!

Yelp
As others have said the views of the city were amazing. Great view of the Vatican. The service and food was great. Very attentive to our needs and friendly. We started with the French onion soup which was spectacular. Main dishes were good however smaller on the portion size and not quite as good as the soup but decent. Dessert was tasty and the Somaliare helped us pick out a great bottle of wine. Overall the views and food was good however a little on the pricey side.

Yelp
Excellent place Excellent terrace view Excellent food Excellent service Up scaled restaurant all the way A+

Yelp
The Mirabelle was a great culinary experience with even better views. The hotel and top floor restaurant were truly amazing. Every course at the restaurant was so unique and flavorful. The restaurant also boasts an expansive wine menu and in-house Master Sommelier. The prices are a bit more than the average Rome restaurant but it's worth the experience.

Yelp
We left almost immediately after a month long reservation. My wife and I indicated on our reservation that it was our honeymoon and we'd love a table outside, one month prior to our reservation. When we arrived we were seated inside behind the pole/waiter station (picture attached) and when we asked if there was something outside on their EMPTY terrace the waiter said the bookings were full. Less than 3 minutes later a man & woman couple sat next to us inside but then asked to sit outside (just like we asked) and they were escorted to an empty table outside. I then approached the hostess to ask if we could also be seated outside for 2 and she said that the only reason THEY got to sit outside was because of a reservation that just cancelled and she would let us know if another cancelled so we could move. After I sat back down, we were never addressed with another waiter/waitress so we got up and left. The hostess turned her head and avoided us as we exited to avoid us completely. Unprofessional. Obviously discrimination against same sex couples. Disappointing since it was very empty there and clearly they need business.

Yelp
The views are fantastic, but that is where the "wow" stopped for me. Service was so-so, we asked if we wanted a dessert when we already had ordered a dessert. We had multiple waiters throughout the service. Never was offered coffee or tea which we wanted. The food was overall bland and salty. All three people left a €500 dinner wanting to go to some pizzeria for a second dinner. I had high hopes for this places, but they didn't deliver. I would guess they are trying for a Michelin star, but let me say this they have a lot of work to do before I would say they are even worth of a single star.

Yelp
This is Italy at it's best. A wonderful experience seated on the terrace with a view of the Vatican. Expect to spend money that is well worth the experience. We had a relaxing 5 course meal. The risotto was amazing! The carpaccio was amazing! The cocktails, sommelier, main course, dessert, service, ...OUTSTANDING! From taking the private elevator to the top floor where you are greeted by the stylish maitre d - what feels like - Italian royalty. As always, you are never rushed by Europeans as we enjoyed watching the sunset during our 4 hour luxury experience. Also, the ambience is very romantic. There is a strict dress code and we dropped $600 USD - worth it!

Yelp
Save your money. This is not the experience you think you are getting unless you like RUDE wait staff and cold food with little to no taste. We want our time and money back as this was a HUGE mistake. The concierge at the Westin suggested it and he should lose his job over such a poor recommendation. The prices are not on the menu. We don't have any problem dropping serious cash for a seriously good meal and experience. For 4 people, no starters or dessert, the bill was 560 euro. We suspect they charged us more because we are not Italian. The icing on the horrible cake was the disappointment of having to go to the "cashier" to pay our check. There are other places in Rome to dine with a view. Skip this one.

Yelp
Despite the breathtaking view of Rome, the food and service at Mirabelle was far from impressive. We were seated and greeted warmly but after that, the service was largely impersonal bordering on cold... We started out the evening ordering cocktails. One drink was forgotten so we waited an extra 10 minutes to be able to 'cheers'. I asked about the details of the chef's cheese platter, our server didn't know so he left to ask the chef. He never returned with an answer. After this we ordered our selections from an unclear menu with inconsistent pricing displays. One thing I will say is that many little extra aperitif items were brought to the table for an interesting presentation however none were very tasty. The main dishes we ordered: Ravioli Carbonara with asparagus... 6 dry raviolis, no sauce and one tiny sliver of asparagus. Not good, small portion. Lackluster and not delicious- very disappointing. Next, Linguini with pistachio and pesto... the linguini came in a red sauce, with two pistachio nuts and two tiny dollops of 'pesto'. This was not a pesto dish. We were very confused. Didn't eat this as it arrived cold. Finally, one of our orders was the lamb dish. It was completely forgotten, leaving our guest with no meal - We waited a while and finally just started to eat because the 10 minute wait turned into twenty. We shared our tiny portions with him. We were all finished with our meals when he was finally served an over cooked lamb dish. To top it off, the €120 wine we ordered was not poured when we were served. We waited far to long to receive our wine that was chosen to be paired with our meal. All in all, I would say, order a drink on the balcony but don't waste your money on the food.

Yelp
My husband and I visited this restaurant a week ago to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. We had a lot of recommendations to dine at this place, so we decided to try it out. The view was amazing. We were able to make it to the restaurant right before sunset. And to see the sunset there along with the Vatican in the distance was breathtaking. The weather was perfect as well. The things we weren't impressed with was the food and the timeliness of service. We waited about 30 mins. from the time we were finished with our appetizer to the time we had our entrée. Then finally after we received our entrees my husband's order, the seabass, was overcooked. He had to send it back two times. After the last try, he just ended up changing his order to the duck which turned out to be pretty good. But you don't expect to have to do that at a Michelin rated restaurant. Our dessert, soufflé, took a long time as well even though I gave our server over the 15 mins requested time for them to prepare it. We've eaten at many nice restaurants in Rome and Venice. In regards to the food, this one was the worse.

Yelp
2 stars only for the view. Otherwise, completely lackluster food. I'm unsure how this received a Michelin star. I had the onion fondant soup to start(French onion soup). Honesty, I've had far better at pubs. This soup was soggy and the only saving grace was that it was slathered in cheese. Each bite tasted limp and bland. Then I ordered the ravioli and asparagus. Took over 30 minutes between the starter to receive this. Then when it was finally brought out I was astonished to find they were cold and seemed to have been thrown on the plate in haste. Again, one of the most bland and underwhelming dishes I've ever had. They did apologize for the long wait and removed the pasta from the bill but truthfully it was too little, too late. I had ordered a fairly $$ bottle of wine that never got poured unless I flagged someone down. Mind you, they had plenty of staff for the amount of customers. It's sad to write this because I love food, have worked in the restaurant business and genuinely love trying new places. Unfortunately, this place fell way short of expectations. Italy has so many gems and delicious food. I recommend this restaurant only if you want the view. Do not expect to be wowed by the food or service.

Yelp
The best meal you will ever have! Top it off with one of the most amazing views and top notch service and you will have a fine dining experience. Highly recommend the lamb and the foie gras.

Yelp
Great dinner for our last day in Rome: nice view, sunset, great food, beautiful decor, dreamed wine list and amazing service. Bravo for the sommelier, he was the high light for me. And our Ecuatorian server was so cordial and attentive, congrats. Italian food with explosion of flavours, beautiful presentation. Located at a beautiful hotel, walking distance from Spanish steps, or easy to take taxi. Expect high prices, but worth it. Take a look from the "wine cava" when you have time.

Yelp
If you just want decadent service, a drop dean view and over the top food. Stop in. Beer selection is outstanding. Truly one of the most relaxing lunches I had in two weeks in Europe. Now about the prices....worth it but get ready. This place has London prices, better food and service. Truly a gem .

Yelp
The selling point of this restaurant is clearly the great view and ambiance, but the food was very good compared to other similar restaurants I've been to. Usually when the view is so supreme, the food doesn't need to be so good, but it was surprisingly delicious. It is extremely pricey, of course, but if needed you don't have to order something for every course. And they also give you delicious bread and other amuse bouche before the meal which was actually my favorite part. I don't drink much so without the wine, it wasn't as crazy expensive as it could have been. Definitely worth it for a memorable and romantic meal. The staff was also very kind and gave me a nice fluffy blanket since I was a bit cold. Just one thing, it is quite old fashioned and have ladies menus with no prices (while giving the "man" the menu with prices), as it can often be at fancy European restaurants... They didn't have any reaction when I paid instead of my boyfriend, though, but maybe something to note for those of you who aren't into that kind of thing.

Yelp
This restaurant was recommended to my husband and I by our hotel owner. He said the food was amazing and the view the best in Rome. I immediately hopped on the Internet and checked out the reviews. There were not a lot of reviews so we decided to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt. The view was amazing! The view was so nice that my husband and I convinced ourselves that we were paying for the view and not the food. Haha. The service was also top notch complete with a Sommelier. However all the awesomeness stopped with the ridiculous cost to amount of food ratio. The food was incredibly expensive, with the main dishes all being between 45-60 euro. You would think with those prices you would really be getting something? The small amount of food we received was great, but very small. I also spent 15 euro on a glass of Riesling, which we all know is way over priced. We are both willing to pay the prices we did for a nice dinner, but we were expecting a little more. We were both still hungry after leaving the restaurant. Overall the restaurant was meh; I am giving it three stars purely for the service and view.

Yelp
We were very excited to eat at Mirabelle knowing that they have one of the best views of Roma. This view was nothing less than spectacular and proved to be one of the greatest sunsets we have seen. The service is top notch and the wait staff are highly organized and well run. The food however, not as good as promised. We don't mind spending a good deal of money when the food and drink equals it's value. This place is absurdly expensive. 28 Euro for a side of veggies? Those must be magic vegetables! I assume the wine list is wonderful for those with unlimited wealth but not for the common man. The portions were extremely small as you might expect in fine dining but the quality just wasn't there. I thought much of what we had was bland and nothing to write home about. If you are looking for a great view, service and wine this is the place...food is a 2 out of 5

Yelp
From beginning to end: The evening was simply perfect. I went with a friend to Mirabelle to enjoy the amazing roof top for the sunset with an outstanding dinner and yes, it was even better then expected. Ambience: All is so thoughtful, elegant and beautiful. The intereieur reminds me on the glam of the gold old times. The tables are beautifully placed, the chairs have a perfect hight and all ladies get an extra spot for their handbags. The candles give a soft light, the flowers are tastful and the bathroom stall was bigger then my entire hotel room. (in a different hotel) Food: Excellent and sooo much! I took the 7 course tasting menu, and after the 1st course, i felt full already. Each of these signiture dishes was amazing, the wine pairing was excellent. Service: 1a. So perfect. Summary: I love it.

Yelp
This dining experience cannot be duplicated in Rome, or for that matter elsewhere. The service is impeccable. They simply don't miss on one thing. The view is stunning. The food, while expensive, is some of the finest I've ever eaten. A wonderful balance of flavors and textures that leave you wondering just how they accomplish such feats. Don't miss the desserts. For special occasions or otherwise, this is one of the finest restaurants in the world today.
