Christmas and Winter Pop-Up Bars in Boston | Eater Boston

"I found the Miracle Christmas-themed pop-up in the Kimpton Marlowe Hotel’s lobby bar to be fully decked out with holiday decor and special glassware; it runs from the day after Thanksgiving but at this location ends on Christmas Eve. The cocktail list includes standout items like the snowball Old Fashioned (butterscotch rye, spiced demerara, wormwood bitters, and orange zest), the bad Santa (a hot milk punch with Barbados rum, Trinidad overproof rum, Batavia Arrack, pineapple and lemon juices, almond milk, spices, coconut water, and coconut oil), the run run Rudolph (prosecco, gin, mulled wine puree, lemon, and cane syrup), plus cheeky “nice” (rum, peppermint, chocolate) and “naughty” (bourbon, cinnamon) shots." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

I would say it’s a lot smaller, it can hold about 20 people and there’s not a whole ton of seating. You’d have to wait to sit down and there’s seems to be a time limit of 90 min but I wouldn’t enjoy standing in here with a crowd. Limited on drinks and food menu, they don’t have mock tails due to everything being batched. The yippe ki yay which had an interesting taste, sweet bc of Ube but the pineapple flavor gives it an odd mixture, not my favorite, wouldn’t recommend, perhaps try whipped cream or heavy cream. I would say it’s nice to hang for 30-45 min but nothing crazy. It was unfortunately underwhelming compare to what it was shown on social media.

I wanted to check this pop up out. I arrived at 4:40 and stood in line for 20 minutes until the bar opened. I was by myself and I hoped to have a non-alcoholic beverage before I headed out for the evening across town. Upon entering we were informed that we needed to order at the bar, receive a number, and our order would be delivered it to us. As I was alone, I went right to the bar and was promptly informed by a woman who seemed to be a manager, that the bartender was not yet ready. " No problem! I was just wondering if I could get something other than what was on the menu, like a non-alcoholic beverage?" She promptly said no and then amended it and said I could have water. I definitely was not feeling the kindness vibes however, the place was adorable! The message is, don't go alone and be prepared to order strictly from the menu.

I LOVE MIRACLE BAR! I have been to quite a few around the US and the one at the Marlowe Hotel is really a fun one. It has a great vibe and great decorations. The bartenders are also really great and know what they are doing with the drinks. Such a fun idea and an amazing menu. Be sure to go if you want to taste Christmas in a cocktail!

A disappointing holiday experience. Upon arrival, three employees did not speak or make eye contact with us as we waited at the entrance until the other member of my party inquired about seating. The staff explained it’s “seat yourself “. The space had lovely decorations lights, music and a holiday vibe, very small space, < 10 tables. We took a seat and then proceeded to wait for 20 minutes for a staff member to greet us at the table, which did not happen, only to realize, oh! We have to get up and order at the bar to get a cocktail. Again, the person accompanying me ordered two drinks at the bar for us and the cost was $45 for two drinks. The waitstaff did not bother to greet our table and inform us about how service was conducted. We arrived at 5:00 pm and there were two larger groups celebrating who were incredibly loud and disrupting the other guests who were trying to make quiet conversation. My drink, a take on an old fashion, was delicious, but the overall experience was overshadowed by the waitstaff that couldn’t be bothered to communicate and the group who were entirely unaware of how loud and rude they were to the other guests. One and done for me!

A number of four tops had two people seated at them. Even though multiple four top tables were open, we were told we had to sit at a community table. The host, Kristen, was quite unfriendly.

Christmas cocktail bar open during December. It offers good Christmas cocktails. It's a nice bar but it's quite small and overcrowded, there is not table service and you need to wait for long due that there are only 2 waiters preparing the cocktails.
