Good food, good service. The atmosphere was almost good, but the music was far too loud, there were some noise dampener panels on the ceiling, but not nearly enough. I was wearing earplugs because I get overstimulated and it was still too loud even after asking about turning it down, and the acoustics of the place mean conversations were bouncing making it even louder. Also had a blaring speaker over the front door, and I personally am not a fan of music escaping a business intentionally, it's one thing if the windows are open but it was raining so they were not. Chicken and Lamb Skewers were very tasty.

Google
We had an incredible experience here, thanks to Stephen! The local drafts were great, but the conversation was even better. Stephen gave us incredible recommendations to try out while we visit. If we lived here, this would be our spot!!

Google
The meat skewers were awesome! The service is very nice. The girl offered a small sip to try different types of beers. I would recommend

Google
The best thing about this bar is its atmosphere, which perfectly matches MIT and Cambridge. The food and drink menu is displayed on boards designed to look like chemical element symbols, and you can also see this menu style on their website. The food is average, but they have around six kinds of draft beer, which are quite good. The place is always busy, and while the staff is friendly, they seemed a bit understaffed. If you want to experience the vibe of Cambridge, a city of researchers, this is a great spot.

Google
The nerdy vibe makes this neighborhood pub unique. The service and atmosphere are always pleasant and fun. It’s amazing I’m sure the staff came and went, but the tradition and vibe seem to be carried on after all these years. The most unique (nerdy) thing is the menu in the format of a periodical table. They pretty much kept the same menu as 20 years ago when I went to the small institute of tech down on mass ave. :) It was a special place for a treat when I was a poor student back in the days. Now my family visit this place as a special treat every time we are in the neighborhood. Please keep it the way you are! ❤️

Google
It's called a bar + grill, but in practice it's a bar that happens to serve food cooked via grill. The place has a cool atmosphere and is very unique. Had a few good options on tap. Service was good. Unfortunately at least two people in our party agreed that the food was not good. I tried the special house burger with the jalapeño in it that would have been good, were it not for the fact that it was way overdone. I asked medium well, it was clearly passed well done to the point of drying it out. Same thing for the chicken sandwich that my girlfriend ordered. Dry. Think of Gordon Ramsey taking one bite and wincing in disappointment. That was us. Maybe it was a bad night. Either way, probably wouldn't go back as a place to get dinner, but definitely drinks. Then again, I don't really drink at bars.

Google
The Ronie burger has been a go-to for years, but the jalapenos can sometimes pack a wallop! Small good selection of craft beer on draught.

Andrew Rosato

Google
This bar has a really fun gimmick of having the menu be on one massive chalkboard in the shape of a periodic table and has a really fun vibe. The burger I got was very good and I would get it again. The home fries however we're very hard, flavored well but tough to chew so I'd sub them out. The watermelon sangria was also very good. I'd definitely come back!

Yelp
Didn't come here for food so I can't speak on what that's like here. I came here for drinks with some friends and it was a nice spot. Nothing over the top good, but also not a bad spot at all. Lots of people were on dates or came in groups! Music was blasting (if you like that, then you're in for a treat), the staff was nice but seemed semi stressed since it can get pretty crowded in the area over by the bar (which is where people naturally stood to order something at the bar), but also that's their one pathway to get by so there was a lot of shuffling in place and trying to clear a path in a space that didn't have wiggle room. Luckily a table eventually opened up so we could snag a seat but the first 15ish minutes were pretty chaotic due to the little standing room available here.

Yelp
I've been to Miracle of Science a handful of times. It's exactly what you'd expect for a Cambridge bar, especially one right by MIT. Sometimes they tend to blast the music a bit too loud, so if you're looking for something quieter, be warned. I wouldn't come here for food, but they do have some typical stuff on the menu. The drinks aren't anything out of this world either. It's more of a convenient spot than anything else.

Yelp
One of the best roasted potatoes I have had, as a side! Recommend getting an extra portion of it!

Yelp
For a weekend lunch, I ended up at Miracle of Science with some friends. Having not heard of the place beforehand, I had no preconceived notions. Given the dreary weather, I ordered a hot toddy to pair with a cheeseburger. The burger was fine, but given the proliferation of bars and New American restaurants serving burgers, it proved forgettable. The restaurant's science theme lost its charm after a mere five minutes. It didn't add much to the overall dining experience beyond a brief novelty.
google avatar

Santanu S.

Yelp
The restaurant caught my attention as I was amused by its quirkiness. I had just walking through MIT. When I saw lamb was on the menu, I chose to dine here. There were a few tables inside still available; although the weather was pleasant enough to sit at one of the outdoor tables. Since I already knew I was going to have the lamb, I ordered both the beer and the food at the same time. Since my beer was served rather quickly, I had a chance to enjoy the summer ale. I thought it was odd a single skewer is $10 and two is priced at $20. Their interior menu on the wall clearly explains the plates with two skewers also comes with mint slaw and bean salad. If I had known, I might have stuck with just one skewer. Just the pita, red onions, and tzatziki are a lot of sides. As for the lamb, its meat was slightly tough, but it had sufficient amount of flavor.

Yelp
Love this bar. Perfect hang for a few drinks and friendly service. Love the quesadillas, solid burger, and good avocado chicken bowl. Honestly a perfect neighborhood bar and restaurant. Casual, comfortable, cool crowd when busy... They are careful with IDs on weekends due to students, kudos to them for doing what's right. I think negative reviews might stem from that as I've seen some kids make a fuss.

Yelp
Stopped by Miracle of Science for a quick drink and was not disappointed! This is a really cute space in central square. They have a solid menu that's all science themed which we thought was fun. The service was quick and everyone enjoyed their drinks. We will be back, next time for food!9

Yelp
I came here on a Saturday night with some friends to celebrate a birthday. The gimmick of this bar is that they have their food and drink menu in the format of a periodic table. It's a relatively small establishment with a normal bar area, two clean unisex bathrooms, some regular tables and table tops. This bar is pretty cool and has a laid back vibe. The crowd is 20 to 30 year olds for the most part. Our server was pretty good and responsive with our drinks. I would recommend the Aeronaut Fruited Sour, but not the Mayflower raspberry Porter since it was very bitter and I couldn't taste any raspberry at all. Overall, this is a neat bar to check out when you're starting out your night.

Mary R.

Yelp
Service was exceptional. The vibe and atmosphere on point. Gritty, fun, delicious! I had the lamb skewers and my sister in law had the shrimp tacos. Sooo good!

Yelp
Found it waiting for a game to start at MIT. Got a good spot at the bar. Had a nice IPA and a good cheeseburger(with jalapenos - yum). Friendly service. Looking forward to going back the next time I am at MIT for a match.
google avatar

Stephon M.

Yelp
Has a cool theme with the naming. Service was pretty good! The food was not it unfortunately. I've been multiple times now and the food is never it. So if you want to pop by for a quick drink then yes! They also play some good music too!
google avatar

Jan F.

Yelp
Very small selection of drinks for a bar, and the quality of food is sad. Service was always good which is the only reason I'm hesitating to leave a bad review. Often the only incentive for coming here were the hours, given the location.
google avatar

Ben B.

Yelp
Originally I avoided this place. The name makes me think it's packed full of MIT kids who can't fathom a life away from their work. And it is. But it's also pretty cool. The only thing science about it is they put their menu in a periodic table which is as cute as it is impractical. But the beer list is reasonable and the burgers are actually pretty darn good. I've also just enjoyed the service there, the bartenders and staff are super laid-back and friendly, the vibe is generally cooler than it should be that close to Kendall Square. It's also open later than most other places and it's fun to pretend I live in a city sometimes rather than in Cambridge.

Maxwell F.

Yelp
do not order the espresso martini. tasted like yesterday's diner coffee with that cheap russian vodka from freshman year.
google avatar

Yelp
Had a wonderful lunch if delicious kabobs and beer and a friendly conversation with the awesome bartender David. Will be back

Talia S.

Yelp
Servers do not disclose that the tip is already included on the bill. Yes, you should check your bill but I was buzzed and didn't fully check so I tipped in addition to included tip.

Yelp
I had not been to this place in 15 years but was in Cambridge and thought to stop back. My memories did not fail me. The place is still cool inside and served me one great extra rare burger as I requested. The beer choices were as good as ever and the staff still helps to enhance the funky feel. I need to make more trips back to Cambridge.

Ralph C.

Yelp
Funky little place near MIT on Mass Ave in Cambridge. It has a very loud indoors and a nice little outdoors space. Very large bar serving very goods drinks at a reasonable price. The food menu is small but it covers all bases. We started with the grilled chicken salad. Let's of greens, addicting tiny croutons and wonderfully good, seasoned, grilled chicken breast slices. We also had the chips and salsa appetizer. Both very good. For main course, I had the turkey chili. It wasn't as expected, but a good and interesting version and the bowl is a very large portion. My significant had the beef skewer. Nice portion of well seasoned beef with a flour tortilla and sides. Overall, all the food and 5 drinks, with tip, $100. Also I can't forget to mention that the service was no pressure, attentive and kind. The staff pools tips so everyone is ready to help. Definitely a go back.
google avatar

Masmin P.

Yelp
The periodic table menu is still a big draw and a reason we bring out-of-towner friends to dine here. The skewer dishes are very good (we've had shrimp and lamb so far). Knocking it down a star because the cheeseburger (I had the Ronnie) was surprisingly dry and disappointing. The kids like the very dense 7-Layer cake though (seven layers of sweetness, what's not to like!) Servers are all very friendly and efficient. We will always return!

Julia M.

Yelp
Excellent food and cocktails, and the staff is the best! They are very kind and attentive. The vibes in this bar are immaculate.

Yelp
This place offers a good variety of bar food and decent service. I liked their beef and lamb skewers as well as their burgers. One problem with this place is that you can't have a private or business conversation if you are a party of 2. Waitresses are very rigid about to place you in small tables by the window. You usually end up sitting about 3 inches away from strangers on your left and right sides. They want to keep their corner tables in case bigger parties come. In my 3 visits here last year, we ended up sitting these small tables and we could not talk any business because you are literally sitting lap to lap with total strangers. In all cases, those corner-ish tables were always empty, all small parties sat in the corner in a squished way, it was weird. In one of my winter visits, the person on my right table was coughing, it was impossible to protect your food and yourself. I might come to place if I have a very casual lunch with friends but I would never visit this restaurant for my business-related meals or any occasion I need to have a private conversation.

Yelp
This place very quickly became my favorite find in Cambridge. Sad I found it the second to last day before we left. A true legend of a spot. The best part about it was the bartender. Just a cool dude. First day I rolled in and placed my order, high-life and makers rocks. Took those down. The very next day...he remembered me, and my order. Small HUGE things like that are reasons places like this get people come back. Just a class move. The food here looks amazing and they grill it up right in front of you. Nice little outdoor space. Plenty of room for small and medium-sized groups. Like I said, my top spot in Cambridge. Make it happen.
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious Ronie's burger and grilled chicken! The guac was sooooo yummy- creamy and light. They make their own chips which are addictive. Their margaritas are a mix but still yummy. Their online menue is filter acid for gluten free options which I've never seen before. The waitress was fun and attentive although exasperated with the chaos the MIT students brought in with them. Theories outside seating and indoor seating when it rains :)
google avatar

David L.

Yelp
Intimate little place with a cute theme and decor to enhance the vibe. Relatively limited menu for both food and beer (though awesome periodic table format). Decent burgers and chicken sandwiches served with a sort of German style / hash brown potato. Really enjoyed the tomato-y chutney that accompanied the potatoes. Friendly service. While the decor fits the theme, the science lab bar stools are not so comfortable for a prolonged stay...
google avatar

Rosa Y.

Yelp
I've had a great time each time I've gone. The food is surprisingly solid, the drinks are strong and well made, and the service is reliable and kind. Especially for the science lovers in your life, the smaller stylistic decisions will bring them joy (the draft menu/food menu is written like a periodic table and there are misc mementos scattered throughout the space). It's not over the top science-themed, which was just fine. A good space to catch up with friends or to go for a date, especially convenient given the location.
google avatar

Dave S.

Yelp
Food was fantastic and the ambience is cool, but the service sucks. It's like the servers don't have any social skills.

Victor W.

Yelp
Staff was unnecessarily rude. We ordered a drink and I took a sip and the bartender asked for my ID. I showed a Canadian driver's license, and she simply took the drink away. I understand now that a Canadian driver's license is not valid to purchase alcohol with under the strict Massachusetts law but I think it was unnecessary to take the drink away when my friends could've had it and to then also refuse to give a refund for the mostly untouched drink. When I asked if I could supplement my ID with a photo of my passport, instead of politely declining, she made the choice to be snarky and mention something along the lines of giving me a photo of a beer. Overall, even if she was having a bad day, I think she could have chosen to be kinder! I will probably go get a state ID but I don't plan on returning here anytime soon.
google avatar

Keizzel C.

Yelp
Ehh would pass next time I'm in town solely based on the experience grabbing drinks. I can't speak to eating a full meal here. With a name like Miracle of Science Bar + Grill I expected more experimental cocktails and brews but the selection (which is above the door) was pretty limited. They have a cool space being on the corner of the street with large open windows to let in natural light, but nothing in regards for the drinks only (food looked pretty good) really stood out.

William B.

Yelp
if I could leave zero stars I would. Rudest staff I've ever encountered. They brought the tab over before we were done. Acted as though ordering a second drink was a chore. Asked us to leave a tip after being rude. It was honestly comical. the girl with the curly hair.. yea ... you are the WORST.

Ravi T.

Yelp
this place sucks and is a perpetual no-fun zone. if you want to have a fun time i would go literally anywhere else. The people are mean and there are far more fun places in a 5 minute radius. Please trust the other reviews which detail poor customer service, this is a bottom-tier Cambridge bar.
google avatar

Angel X.

Yelp
One of the best late night spots for snacks and innovative bites The menu here is a lot of fun and when it comes to their various apps, you really can't go wrong since they've figured out how to make your tastebuds dance with or without a fire brew or cocktail The energy in this place is unbeatable and the music selection doesn't stop at one genre, I love kicking it with a bunch of friends in between venues along cambridge My favorite late night joint is the frito pie and their burger, the combo is just.. you gotta trie it. Also, make sure you ask around for the bartender's favorite beer/cocktail cause chances are they'll whip up something you didn't realize you needed Overall a fire environment and a great atmosphere for food and fun
google avatar

Kevin K.

Yelp
First time at this place and can't wait to get back. Cheeseburger and quesadillas cooked just great. Atmosphere and staff treated us like guests. See you soon
google avatar

Josh B.

Yelp
The food, the service, the drinks...everything was exceptional!!! Great vibe and the staff where excellent!
google avatar

Henry P.

Yelp
Meh. Typical bar for MIT eggheads... nothing special. Overpriced. Loud, noisy and chaotic. Lunch time it's hipsters from local biotech and at nights it is the biotech old jet-set who lament their youth and try to connect by hanging out with young grad students. Pathetic. 2.5 stars... not worth it.
google avatar

Adam R.

Yelp
This place defies the notion that good service is hard to find during "these unprecedented times." My girlfriend and I were there on Friday night, and the host and waitstaff gave us incredibly welcoming and attentive service. Miracle of Science remains a gem!
google avatar

Heather R.

Yelp
What a pleasant surprise this was - small and lively. Basic food but everything you want, burgers, tacos, quesadillas, skewers... simple but tasty. Priced well. Small but good selection on beers, cocktails were poured well. I do wish it had a bit more of a "science" theme, but the little science-y "Easter eggs" hidden around the place are great. Definitely themed towards all things that millennials like.
google avatar

Mary Babb V.

Yelp
I blame my SO for my review of this place because he raved about their burgers, but apparently we have very different priorities when it comes to that because I was far from impressed. That being said, the quality of the food/ingredients is on point. I'll lay it out simply: if the concept of a good burger all comes down to MEAT (and the taste thereof) then this is the place for you. If you are like me, where a good burger is a culmination of ingredients (condiments, cheese, bread, meat etc) that contribute equally to what makes up a "burger" then this might not be your place. Condiments should never be afterthoughts for a good burger. They do have a really good breakfast sandwich if you go for the brunch option. The potatoes side is also good (if a little oily) and comes with a red pesto/chutney(?) sauce that I did not prefer to good 'ole ketchup. I will be going back to this place now that I know what's up to see if my opinion changes because the again, the ingredients were all high quality. Give it a try yourself, just make sure to ask for all your sauces on the front end!
google avatar

Anarie S.

Yelp
This is not terrible and not spectacular but they have a decent brunch/lunch menu. I came here on a Sunday and was seated right away. I ordered the fishes tacos and my friend ordered the steak and eggs. The fish in the taco was grilled and the sauce with the cabbage was good. The steak came in a skewer and was flavorful.

Ryan D.

Yelp
I came here with some some friends to get drinks and food. My best friend ordered a quesadilla and waited 45 min. When the server, Mariah, came around and asked us if we wanted anything else, we said no, but we were waiting for a quesadilla. She replied, "but do you want anything else"? After that, we still didn't get a quesadilla after another 20 min and asked to close the check. Surprise surprise, we didn't see a quesadilla on the check. I liked the place, but if someone asks about an item that hasn't arrived, you'd think the servers would look into it instead of give us attitude. Maybe its my California naivité, but this seems out of place to me. Cool place, but didn't have the best service :( And no Mariah, I didn't want anything else.
google avatar

Olivia B.

Yelp
I came to this location to meet up with 3 of my friends and the whole experience was not good. At first we got moved to a smaller table that clearly did not fit 4 people. During the whole time we were there, we were asked every 5 minutes "if we were okay". It got annoying at first but after we finished our meals but still had drinks the rate at which they asked increased and they asked every 2 minutes. The way the servers and management made us feel was very unprofessional and made us uncomfortable. I still had a half full cider when the server asked us for the final time. This is not a place to go with people you want to hang out with or to even have a decent time. I recommend you to pick something down the street instead.
google avatar

Andrew A.

Yelp
TLDR - if you go, sit at the bar and keep it simple. Good food but don't expect much from wait staff. Menu: blackboard on the wall is a cool and distinctive feature but hard to read, especially from the far side of the bar. Understaffed: We asked the waiter for chips and guac. He brought the chips the second time we asked but never brought the guac. We reminded him after he brought a few other tables meals. Who brings chips without guac?? Also mixed up our beers and had to be reminded for mayo. Food was solid. Cheeseburger was decent. Great buns and good plate size. Overall a cool place with decent food. Don't feel the need to go back and wouldn't recommend it since Central has some of the best food but not upset I went. Would be at least a three star with table menus or at least thicker chalk so you can see the menu. Add two waiters during dinner time and don't let them smoke pot or drink on the job. John Taffer would clean house.

Abhiram A.

Yelp
This place is nice enough, and I've been here several times when I'm in the area. They have a chemistry/periodic table theme, which is very appropriate for the area where this restaurant/bar is located at. The crowd at this place during lunch time can be hit or miss. Sometimes there is a lot of people and you can't find a table, but sometimes you walk in and find a table. The servers have always been nice to me/my group. I typically get the two chicken skewer with the peanut satay (see picture below), and I love this dish for the simplicity, relative healthy-ness and the flavor. On other occasions, I've had the chicken salad with avocado bowl (not my favorite), or the Ronnie Burger. The Ronnie burger is quite good and has a kick to it, but I don't like the chips that come with it. Overall, this is a good place. Decent food, good service and good prices. The ambience is not bad either. This is a good location for an informal 1:1 with your work colleagues, a date "lunch", or catching up with friends. My rating is going to be 50% for the food, 30% for the service and 20% for other things including ambience: 4x0.5 + 4x0.3 + 4x 0.2 = 4!
google avatar

Yelp
Casual spot for a drink and a bite. Small but decent/local beer list, full bar, pub grub from the kitchen. Tip: the garage door windows open in the nice weather, so it's almost like a patio.

Kevin A.

Yelp
Went to this place to hang out with some friends and the entire time we were rushed to finish and leave. In a span of 15 minutes, we were asked over 4 times if "we were good". Clearly trying to get us to leave and open up the table. We felt uncomfortable the whole time and did not enjoy the mediocre food. If you want to go to a place to hang out with friends then I highly recommend you to pick a better choice.

David M.

Yelp
Tasty but expensive- fun MIT vibes though, check it out if you're visiting the area as a tourist or otherwise

Cassidy R.

Yelp
Not only the worst drinks but the worst service EVER. I went here with a group of friends and the owner came up to wipe our table down and said "get your fucking hands off the table ladies." The other server that came up was equally rude and our drinks tasted DISGUSTING, and I'm pretty sure they didn't even have any liquor in them. Midway through our meal we looked down and saw DRIED VOMIT all underneath our table, that had gooped up around the table legs as if someone had lazily tried to mop it up and then left it to crust up.... Finally, this bar is literally not science themed at all other than their dumbass 'periodic table' which is uninspired and sloppy.

Alex S.

Yelp
Was here to grab a drink before it closed and they were so rude. They asked us how close our Uber was and was mad that it was 5 minutes away and then yelled at us to leave within seconds of them closing.
google avatar

Rudy B.

Yelp
From the outside this place looks amazing, when I came in the music was on point the staff was friendly and 3 of us were able to be seated even though place was packed. I really enjoyed the ambiance. I was the last to arrive and one of my friends told me they didn't have a paper menu and that instead their menu was on the wall in the form of a Periodic Table if elements... not gonna lie, given it's proximity to MIT and the name of the place I found this be so cool and dope and highly appropriate. Listen, I'm going to be real with you- I enjoyed the space and the vibe but the food, or what I had wasn't the best Mexican food I've had. I'm leaving an honest review so that others know what to expect and hopefully the store can improve! Here goes: I had the Fish Tacos and Quesadilla- the tacos were good but a bit bland, the cabbage slaw was bitter, however they were very generous with the amount of fish they put in it. The quesadillas were alright. My friend had the Veggie quesadilla and we both shared the same sentiment. Great late night munchy with friends. A friend had the Kale Salad and said it was phenomenal but the turkey chili was watery but tasty. I gave 4 starts because although the food was not top notch the staff was friendly and the grill master was type cute. I did not try the Bar side of their Bar and Grill and that's on me- I mean seriously, who goes to a Mexican inspired place and doesn't have a beer... All in all, great space if you're looking for a drink and some light snacks, I wouldn't go here if you're looking for a full blown dinner.
google avatar

Chantel J.

Yelp
This place is just a regular pub but the menu is made like a periodic table and so is the beer list. The food was simple, nothing too fancy but good. All the food options are listed on the back of the wall so there's no actual menus. Pricing was affordable both drinks and food. The staff was super friendly. Definitely coming back!
