The 33 Essential Zurich Restaurants

"Miró is a cafe with a postindustrial decor theme, including exposed ventilation along the walls and a bright marble counter. With brunch on the weekends and coffee beans roasted in-house, it’s an equally good option to grab something on the go or sit for a bit. Check the pastry case for laugengipfel, croissants with a dark crust browned by alkali; they’re flaky on the outside while chewy and moist on the inside, the perfect accompaniment to a well-brewed cup of coffee." - N.A. We spent three days in Zurich a few weeks ago and spent every morning grabbing coffee at this wonderful cafe. The best coffee I have ever had and the staff were absolutely wonderful. We will definitely be returning next time we are in Zurich!

I had the French Toast with a Cortado on Saturday – it was an absolute treat! Big compliments to the kitchen: everything was homemade, beautifully presented, and the combination of berries, caramelized brioche, and vanilla cream was just amazing. And of course - as always - the coffee was top quality too (: Thanks !!

Lovely vibes. Lovely spot to get your laptop and work or have a lotto coffee date and chat. Lovely tunes to set a positive mood. Excellent coffee. Very bright space. True roastery. Excellent service. The people are so positive and friendly. Very nice, fresh, inspired, urban, and premium. I recommend, and I will visit again for sure 🌈

Loved the recommendation from the female waiter - Las vistas peru americano! ☕️ it was the best coffee batch, great match with apple pie! Ambiance outside in green terrace is cool too

This is a great specialty coffee shop with a fantastic selection and really delicious coffee. However, the coffee is served slightly cooler than usual, which is common in these types of places, but here it feels a bit too cold. In winter, it would be nice if it were served a little hotter. The banana bread is okay, but a bit dry for my taste. Overall, it’s worth visiting for the coffee, but there’s room for improvement in some areas

Miro Café is a great spot to work or study with a laptop, offering a relaxed atmosphere and plenty of space. The overall vibe is inviting, making it a nice place to spend time. I tried the Banana Bread (CHF 5.50) and really enjoyed it! It had just the right texture —not too moist or dry — and the walnuts added a nice nutty crunch that complemented the flavors well. I’d definitely recommend having it warmed up for the best experience. The Matcha Latte (CHF 8 / 0.3L), however, didn’t quite meet my expectations. The matcha flavor was very mild, almost watery, and the texture lacked creaminess and depth — it could have been smoother and better frothed. A touch of latte art would have also elevated the presentation. That being said, Miro is known for its specialty coffee, so matcha might not be their focus. At this price point, though, I was hoping for a bit more in terms of flavor and execution. Overall, Miro Café is a great place for coffee lovers and those looking for a cozy workspace. While the matcha wasn’t my favorite, the café itself has a welcoming atmosphere and quality offerings.

Decent coffee, nice atmosphere and vibes in a somewhat rougher neighbourhood but rather average pastries.

I was there the other day. I had a matcha latte and the focaccia. Ever since the matcha boom there have been a lot of coffe shops that sell green drinks, that are frankly speaking undrinkable and not real matcha at all. Miró is NOT one of these places. While not the best, it still tastes like actual matcha. Definitely one of the better ones in Zurich! (And I have tried many) The focaccia was so good, I was thinking about it all day afterwards and am already looking for an excuse to go to Langstrasse so I can drop by and have another one! ;) Looking at the reviews, I have also noticed that someone recently commented on the matcha and lack of foam art. I can‘t comment on the taste, since it was my first time there, but mine had latte art on it! That goes to show that Miró really cares about customers opinions and making the experience the best it can be!
