Mirra's Place

We’ve lived in the neighbourhood for two years now and just found this place and so glad we did!! The food was amazing!! The place is clean and they have Italian music playing (but not blasting in your ears like other restaurants do where you get a headache). I would take this restaurant ANY DAY over any chain restaurant! Such a good value and the food was great!! The gentleman who served us was also so lovely! This will definitely become our new local hangout !

Delightful Italian Toronto gem with an intimate ambiance. In business since 1961. Exceptional pasta dishes, rich in flavor and authenticity. Attentive service and a warm, inviting atmosphere make it a local favorite. Rocky is still the owner and running the back kitchen. Highly recommend to check them out.

I don't understand the other reviews. This is the worst restaurant I've been to in decades. The staff was nice and the house red wine was okay, but these are the only good things I can say about this place. The food was terrible. Over-cooked, super sweet veal marsala. Vongole made with claims from a tin, and it tasted like tin. The place itself is disgusting and dirty. At 12pm we were the only people in the restaurant. The carpeted floors were dirty, lots of crumbs. The mirrors had splatter marks on them (there are lots of mirrors). A curtain rod was falling off the window. There was unpainted plaster repairs here and there. The furniture is old, but that could be part of the charm if the place was clean, which it was not.

We had the pasta and lasagna, the pasta was okay while the lasagna was good. We also ordered the caprese salad which was plain. The server was nice and friendly, but the food took a while to come out, especially considering there wasn't a lot of customers. Atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming, but decor is stuck in the past.

You feel as if you are in Italy with the music, the atmosphere and it’s a family business run by Rocky and his children. The food is extraordinary and the service can’t be matched. This is a family place but also a nice romantic place for dinner.

The classic Italian restaurant. Has the vibe to go with the great food. We got the cannelloni, cessation salad and mussels with white wine sauce. Was perfect portion for 2 people and was very reasonably priced. Everything was delicious but the mussels was the standout. Highly recommend this spot for a nice lunch or dinner.!

A really gorgeous Italian restaurant with great pasta selection and super friendly service! The gentleman serving us brought out water and bread really quickly, was incredibly kind and patient with our questions about the menu. Glad we asked what he recommended, because everything was so amazing!! The seafood was fresh and tasty, all the pasta was really good, and strangely the potatoes were a highlight because they were so soft yet SO crispy. Highly recommend any dish that comes with the potatoes haha

Today is my mom's birthday so my brother searched for an Italian restaurant for us to eat dinner. We arrived around 6:30ish pm and there was no wait. Only one other table was occupied. The inside is super super cute. I LOVE the pink ceilings. 💗 The inside is nice and I felt under dressed. Service was slow but I overheard a worker had disappeared. There were long waits in between the server checking on but we weren't in a hurry so we didn't mind. We all ordered something different. I had the manicotti; my mom had spaghetti and meatballs; my brother had pizza; y sister in law had soup and then fettuccine. We all had bruschetta as an appetizer. 🤤 The food was fresh, flavorful, and authentic. I believe our server was the owner of the restaurant. Lovely gentleman with a great personality. He mentioned they are renovating and I requested they keep the pink ceilings. I'll be back in one year to check. 😉 Overall, I'd go again and I recommend others check out Mirra's Place. ✅️

Good service and reasonably priced but food was just ok. Ordered chicken parmigiana and meat cannelloni. Parmigiana was alright, would be difficult to mess it up. Cannelloni pasta was nice but we did not enjoy the meat filling. I would not go back.

I ordered the Cozze in tomatoe sauce and when I tell you I had to open the door to air out the smell... it had the most fishy and rotten smell I've ever experienced. We didn't even touch just straight in the trash. The caprese salad came with barely ANY balsamic and had alot of lettuce on it. The tomatoes were rly mushy. Pizza was good but nothing special.

Great authentic Italian food, one of the few in the city where you can get real homemade food. Caesar salad is made from scratch, zuppa di pesce is so amazing you can lick the bowl. Great ambience, feels like you stepped back in time to an old-school Italian restaurant from the 70s.

I'm seldom in the Lawrence/Dufferin area, but our work Christmas party was held here tonight (Friday) so I found myself at Mirra's. I was late for the party and found parking to be a female dog. There's a lot on site, but there are not enough parking spaces considering... I managed to find a parking space by blocking a car from exiting. Oh well, you gotta do what you gotta do. The service was excellent. I think it's a family business and the fam all work here. We had a set menu as there was about 40 of us eating here. The chicken was delish. I think I might just have to come back to check the other items on their menu.

I was really looking forward to coming to this place, but sadly did not even get close to my expectations. Their photos made this place look great, and it had decent reviews. But...man...no. not worth it at all. Tried 5 dishes to make sure. None of them were good. I could go into more detail about why for each one but it would take me too long. Maybe I'll update this post in the future to explain. In the mean time just take my word for it. Good points are the staff were nice and very helpful that's why I gave it 2 points.

Came for a lunch as i was in the area with a friend. I ordred the rack of lamb and my friend ordered the veal marsalla. The food was average but the portions were very small for the high prices. Just under 40 dollars for three pieces of rack of lamb and three minature pieces of veal. I ordered a litre of house wine and it came in two half ltres and was 40 dollars. this was expensive for house. The server was nice enough but very unattantive and half way through our meal was gone with out a word and an older gentleman took over. I had to ask for wine and water and given there was only one other table of people the service should have been better. I would not reccommend this place due to average food with very high prices given very little on the plate.

As a personal blogger of my eating habits It's pretty rare that I give a place 4-5 stars only because I follow the formula that every place can be improved. With that said I was extremely satisfied with my service and meal. The food was very authentic and served hot. My server or host was friendly and even gave me a free birthday desert. My meal was about $35 including my glass of pop. Music in the background was perfect although. I would recommend for sure :)

Came here with my girlfriend tonight and we were both very impressed with the food. Everything was so tasty and fresh. The service was fantastic and the restaurant is nice, clean, and has a lot of character. The staff was super friendly. I would highly recommend Mirra's Place.

The best italian restaurant ive been to in Toronto. Ive been eating here for about 13 years. The gnocchi is incredible and this is hard to find in a restaraunt these days. The sauce is great for all the pasta dishes. Any meal here is worth the money
