Food was good but I didn't like the fish. I had the tempera plate and it came with small cup of miso soup. Update: food and service improvement for my most recent visit. I didn't get a picture of the miso soup

We just moved to Irvine from Seattle and would like to try some Japanese food in Irvine. I took my wife and Mother-in-Law to Misasa inside Mitsuwa supermarket Irvine. We were so surprised at the menu price due to inflation. We ordered the following items Pork Cutlet Bowl/ Kake Udon (Small) ($12.95) Deep Fried Shrimp Bowl ($10.95) Grill Mackerel Plate ($10.25) My Mother-in-Law said the fish did not taste salty. If it tasted salty, it’s perfect. My wife and I like Pork Cutlet Bowl. Highly Recommended. If you would like to go out to eat and the price is below $15, Missa is a good one. Just give it a try and you won’t feel disappointed. Will go back definitely.

Often come to this place for their Katsu Don and Udon combo. The Katsu Don is always fresh cooked with half boiled egg top that brings back lots of memories when in Japan. It's not a place for fine dining but definitely a place if you want to rewind the taste of traditional Japanese food.

Tempura wasn't fresh. Food was just so so..

When I first came here and ate, I really enjoyed the curry pork cutlet. However, the pork cutlet I ate today had a good fried color on the front and the end, but the fried color on the back was light and the color of the cut part was strange, so my husband checked it. I went to eat it, but the staff replied that it was already cooked, so I didn't eat it. Another reason is that the lettuce under the pork cutlet was too wet, so the fried pork cutlet became too wet. Next time, if I eat it again, I think it would be better to just eat the curry pork cutlet.

What is there to complain about? I always come by whenever I'm in the neighborhood. Still one of the few deals thats under $10 for an actual meal. Their Pork Cutlet Curry ($9.25+tax) is my go-to for its volume and the home-y feeling it gives you. The gentleman at the front gingerly took my order and my food came out ~10mins. Mind you, this was on a Tuesday afternoon (2pm) I prefer this locaction sometimes compared to its sister location in Costa Mesa. The choices here are limited, but you get the quiet and convenience. Tip: There's a parking in the back corner of the mall where you have direct access to the food court instead of parking and walking through the front. If you can find it...

Google
Food is okiesh. Not too bad not good either. Fish wasn’t fresh. Mediocre. Little dark and dull dining area. Onigiri 🍙 from Mitsuwa was good. Quantity is ok too for the price. Since prices are not that high, wasn’t very upset at the food. You get what you pay for.

Two dishes. Chicken curry $8.00 and Oyako-don $11.00 👍🏼 I was just as Japan I think they went.Cheap, tasty foods.

Yelp
You can beat the prices here!! This place has been here since the mitsuwa opened over 10 years ago and it's remained the same. The flavors are still very good and prices are very good compared to if you were to order the same dishes at any other shop. Highly recommend their pork cutlet curry with a side of salad. If you're in mitsuwa, I'd say they are a great option for a quick lunch or dinner!

Yelp
Misasa, can be found inside the Mitsuwa marketplace's food court right next to Hokkaido Ramen Santouka in Irvine. I personally don't order from this restaurant but my husband has for several years. I don't know why he goes there, because every time he buys the food, his opinion is always just "meh". Literally every time. It never fails. He says "meh". I ask why he continues to go to them but he just says "I don't know". I've tried all the food he's purchased which was also just ok for me. Go to the counter, order your food and find a seat/table. It's best to go outside of the lunch and dinner rush. If you don't want to purchase a drink from the restaurant or the market, make sure you bring your own water. Water for the food court is room temp from a faucet. I prefer water filtered by reverse osmosis, so the water for the restaurants are not to my liking at all. What he has ordered most recently; 1) Grilled salmon - The salmon was served with rice, miso soup, a potato salad, sliced unseasoned cucumber and cooked bean sprouts. My son thought the salmon was alright. He ate all of it because he was hungry but he wasn't all that impressed with it. I ate the bean sprouts which I normally love to eat, but this was not seasoned. It seemed like it was only cooked in water. 2) Mixed tempura - shrimp and veggie tempura over rice, served with the tempura dipping sauce. The sauce was very flavored. Heavy in taste, both sweet and salty. It was overpowering the tempura, so we ate them without the sauce. I'm not used to tempura sauce having such a strong taste. That was a first for me. 3) Gyudon - thinly sliced beef over rice, served with red ginger. I didn't get to taste this one but my kids said it reminded them of Yoshinoya's beef bowl. It's a 3 out of 5 for me. The food has consistently been mediocre. I know my husband will be back though. I'll be next door eating the ramen.

Yelp
Quick, easy, and delicious if you're looking to satisfy your Japanese cuisine craving! Located in Mitsuwa's food court - order at the counter and wait for your number to be called. Order dine in or takeout! There's a selection of rice and noodle dishes I've tried most of the menu items and it's always a great portion. Rice bowls even come with miso soup! There's a bathroom located near the food court and there's a busser for all the trays and dishes when you're done.

Yelp
Located in Mitsuwa food court. Every time I come here good experience. I like getting there today's special which is Cotto curry over rice with a side salad. My nephew today got a beef bowl, which was absolutely delicious. Service was good. Both meals came up to be $26 which is a great deal.

Yelp
My wife and I stopped by here at the Mitsuwa food court for Japanese food. I ordered the cold noodles with tempura and my wife the bento with sashimi, tempura, miso soup, with pickles, rice and vegetables. For my dish, the cold noodles were good and satisfied a craving. The tempura though tasted like it had been hanging around awhile waiting for a mouth to feed. The tempura crust was on thick and on the hard side, although the vegetables and shrimp within tasted good. My wife's tempura was the same but the sashimi was fresh and the rice, miso soup and vegetables were well prepared. The gentleman behind the counter was polite and efficient. The ambiance of the Mitsuwa food court, as always, is pleasant. The price for the portion served was reasonable.

Yelp
I come to misasa to get their pork / chicken Japanese curry rice for under $10. It's decently sized and comes out quickly. Their service has gotten better over the years and I've always had a friendly experience. The restaurant is located inside Mitsuwa's food court. Lots of open seating, just make sure to order before their 7pm closing time.

Yelp
Food was great. The chicken wasnt fatty, it was breaded well, and pretty filling. The curry sauce was delicious and not lacking at all. The ratio of food was all very good. There was no wait to order and the food came out quickly. The area is pretty calm and quiet, but I can see it getting busier during lunch hours or the weekend. I would definitely get this meal again.

Yelp
This spot is inside the Mitsuwa market feels like a hidden gem. The service was quick and the food was really good. We got the beef udon bowl and the pork cutlet bowl. The portions were generous and we also got a side of a small pork soup. The port cutlet was delicious the beef broth was savory. The price was relatively cheap as well. And afterwards you can shop around Mitzuwa. Would recommend to friends.

Yelp
For $13 inside mitsuwa, I had higher expectations. The beef wasn't that tender and flavorful. Super chewg. The mjso soup was just okay. I came at 12:30 on a Friday and it wasn't too busy. I waited around 7 minutes for the food. Maybe I should've tried something else. Not bad, but nothing apwxial

Yelp
I've been coming to this spot in the Mitsuwa food court for years now and it always delivers. My go to is the pork cutlet bowl; always well done, big portions, and comes with miso soup and edamame on the side. Pleasantly surprised that it's still affordable at around $10 after all this time. A great option if you're looking for quick, quality, and affordable Japanese food. The food court does get crowded but there are outdoor seating options around the plaza.

Yelp
Misasa is located all the way inside the back of Mitsuwa Market. What unique with this restaurant is that it shows displays of each dish on a shelf right next to the cashier, which is super helpful for ordering food. In addition, I'm pretty surprised by the cost of our meal, and was pretty affordable. For the 2 of us, our bill was about $25, which is cheaper than Olive Garden. The service was pretty fast overall as well. For a place in a Japanese market, it felt like we were in a real sit down restaurant, which was nice. There were plenty of tables to sit and we noticed there were a lot of young families around, which I can see why- the plate sizes for what it's worth is pretty decent.
google avatar

Yelp
As usual, Misasa Japanese foods are affordable and rarely disappoints at Mitsuwa locations. $10-$13 per order is pretty generous, especially for the quality food taste and portions. Delicious indeed. I won't stop eating salted grilled mackerel fish plates or katsu chicken curry rice. This is a very small food court with limited choices compared to other similar locations. It's just cost $1-$2 more if you compare it to other places. Salads/lemon/ginger are always fulfilling here. Staffs are friendly and there's also employees tossing out trash and cleaning up the tables. Somehow, it still feels tighter in space in this environment. Busy for sure. I like Misasa's displays of meal sets. Inexpensive and decent. I probably won't revisit this location again, but you can always check it out if you're in the area. Grabbed a latte from Mochill donuts & coffee place afterwards. This Misasa is less exciting than the one in Torrance/shopping area. Overall, decent.

Yelp
Place is located in the food court in the back corner Mitsuwa Marketplace and is quite the hidden gem for quick yet affordable Japanese food. The restaurant offers excellent variety from Japanese curry to sushi. The chicken curry is solid and crunchy. The tempura sashimi combination is also an excellent choice to get a variety of options including a side of miso soup and rice. The food court also has plenty of seating if you wish to sit in and eat, or you can grab food to go. Either way, the food is made and bought out fairly quickly with excellent service. Nice place to eat for a quick lunch or dinner and definitely great to place get an affordable meal while shopping.

Yelp
Update on follow-up visit. Midas's continues to deliver authentic, delicious and great value for Japanese meal. The grilled mackerel plate and beef udon were amazing. Food came out in less than ten minutes. Staff were helpful and approachable. Ambiance is cozy, comfortable food court inside the Irvine Mitsuwa. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Over cooked (fried) cutlet (ground meat?)! I ordered chicken cutlet special and received a disgusting fried meat pancake. It does not even deserved one star ....
google avatar

Yelp
3.5/5 stars This place is located in the Mitsuwa marketplace. Overall solid curry for the price. The pork cutlet had some moist pieces, but some parts were dry. The curry was flavorful. It wasn't spicy for me, and was on the sweeter side. Portion size was large. Not as good as Maji curry or coco ichibanya per my boyfriend, but still a solid meal. The food came out quickly after ordering, and the staff helped to clean up our trays when we were done.
google avatar

Yelp
Not bad for what you get and quicker service compared to other restaurants in the plaza if you come during a weekend afternoon. We got the chicken cutlet curry combo and some udon combo (I forget which one). The chicken cutlet was a little dry but still was pretty good for a quick breakfast. The udon also came with warm and comforting broth. Overall, not bad if you're looking for a quick meal.

Yelp
Parking: Misasa is located in the food court of Mitsuwa which is located at the Irvine Heritage Plaza. It shares parking with a lot of other businesses and parking might be a bit difficult. Interior: The food court is rather small compared to the other Mitsuwa food courts that I have been to. It might be difficult to get a seat during meal times. Food: I got the Yakiniku Beef Bowl. Nothing really stood out in particular so it was alright. It came with a side of miso soup, edamame, and a pickled side dish. The portions were decent and relatively cheap.

Yelp
Located inside Mitsuwa, next to Santouka. There is a small food court here and can get pretty packed during the lunch hour. They have plastic models of their entire menu so you can see what the food will look like before you order, which I really appreciate. I got the pork cutlet curry with rice and salad. The curry is very flavorful and delicious. It pairs perfectly with the katsu, which was very crispy even after it had been half covered in curry. They are very generous with the amount of rice and salad. This place is definitely very good for the price that you pay, after tax I only paid $11 for my plate. There was not a lot of people in line when I went, so I got my food pretty quick. The parking can be difficult if you are trying to park right in front of Mitsuwa. I recommend parking farther away in the parking lot as it will be a lot easier to find a spot.

Yelp
I recently dined at Misasa in the Mitsuwa and was impressed by several aspects of my experience. The service was exceptionally quick and efficient, which was a pleasant surprise considering we came during lunch rush. The menu at Misasa offers a wide range of options, ensuring that there is something for everyone. I appreciated the variety of choices, from traditional sushi to more innovative dishes. The quality of the ingredients was evident, and each dish was expertly prepared. However, I must note that the tempura fell short of my expectations. While the flavors were good, the tempura batter was not as crunchy as I would have liked. This was a minor disappointment in an otherwise enjoyable meal. They might have just had one off day. Everything was a pretty good price, and they don't ask for a tip which is nice too. Overall, I would highly recommend Misasa for its quick service, extensive menu, and overall dining experience. I will certainly be returning to try more of their delicious offerings.

Yelp
This is definitely one of those places where your dollar stretches farther without compromising the quality of your food. I was in search of a quick dinner but didn't want fast food, so I stopped by Misasa since my experience there has always been positive. We ordered the chicken cutlet curry w/o salad ($8.00), pork cutlet bowl with small udon ($11) and a chicken egg bowl ($8.00), to share. All were pretty good and definitely a lot more affordable than others in the area. Be aware, however, that their hours have changed. They're now open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. I saw many folks trying to order after 7 p.m. but were unfortunately too late since the shop closed. I'd definitely come back if I'm in the mood for some good affordable eats.
google avatar

Persila N.

Yelp
Stopped by here for a quick dinner and it was good overall. The chicken katsu curry and udon noodles were both decent portions and the price came out to less than $18. The price was very fair for the portions. The udon noodles and beef flavor were good and so was the katsu. The katsu could have been more crispy though. I would prefer katsu from different spots but for the price, location and how fast we got our food it was worth it. We got our food in about 5 minutes. It's located inside the Mitsuwa market food court and there is plenty of seating. They also have tempura and some other rice bowls.

Yelp
Have so far tried two dishes from this place, and I think it's really good for the price. My ratings: Chicken Egg Bowl, 6/10 - Meh. The egg looks so good but then it's kind of plain with the semi dry chicken. Tasted a lot better with some tonkatsu sauce or curry. Pork Cutlet Curry, 8/10 - yummy yum. This is excellent for the price but the pork cutlet was a lot drier than I like (probably because the cut of pork wasn't too fatty). But the portion seems huge for just $10, and the curry was delicious. Not much to say about service but neutral to good experience with the cashier and the dishes came out quickly. My friend and I had gone into the supermarket to grab drinks for a few minutes and came back to the food all ready! I had the chicken egg bowl for takeout and ate the pork cutlet curry in the food court. The packaging for takeout is excellent with good attention to detail. Will be coming back whenever I'm just craving curry and don't want to make it myself.
google avatar

Yelp
Kinda feel like the 3 star rating for this spot is a bit harsh. It's casual Japanese food in a food court and all the dishes are about $8. Japanese food is typically on the more expensive side, so this spot is a deal. It offers a wide selection of rice bowls (gyudon, oyako don, katsu don, katsu curry, etc.)and noodles (udon and soba). Everything I've gotten here has been quite good. It's not as delicious as Fukada or Sagami, but depending on the item it is half or a third of the price so I'm fine with it. Service is always friendly and quick, a huge plus for students and working parents. I typically get their beef udon, kakiage udon, gyudon, or katsu curry.

Yelp
Today I had the opportunity to visit this restaurant inside the Mitsuwa market in Irvine off Culver Street. I got there a little early so I had to wait until 11 AM when it first opened. I ordered the katsu curry rice. It didn't take long for them to make my dish and it took only about 10 minutes. The Katsu curry was pretty good. Although this sauce was a little watery, the taste was still very good. I probably got the first serving of curry, which is why it was a little watery. Typically curry that's older is more viscous and has a better thickness quality to it. It's my fault that I got the first serving so early in the morning as it didn't have time to simmer slowly. The tonkatsu was actually very good. It was very juicy and crispy at the same time. It was a perfect compliment to the curry rice. I will definitely order this again when I'm back.

Yelp
Go to for quick and good Japanese food at a very good price although they just recently increased their prices, it is not bad. Located inside Mitsuwa, in the food court area. Love all their food and very quick service. I always order the salmon teriyaki and the ten zaru soba and it never disappoints.

Yelp
I came here for lunch and some grocery shopping at Mitsuwa. I was craving curry so I got their pork cutlet curry with some green tea. The area where you order is like a food court and they have displays of the food that they serve which are super detailed and look delicious. Ordering was simple and the cashiers were friendly. I didn't have to wait too long for my food and it was made to order. My lunch was super satisfying and filling. The katsu was crispy and cooked perfectly. The curry was flavorful but not overpowering. A great meal to have right before grocery shopping in Mitsuwa.

Yelp
Ok now i understand why people gave this place 3 stars. Terrible service , this mexican man cashier is unprofeshional! I ordered the salmon plate. It came out with very thin salmon slice and it fall apart because it was too thin anf it was not grilled well, so i told the cashier and he gave me atitude like didnt care and he said that how is the way the food. Since he had tge atitude so i said if i can talk to manager, he said go head like he Challenge me, omg! Terrible service So the food! Did not grill well at all. Ok the price is resonable but doesn't mean you could be treat with this kind of service!! If this employee is still there, this mean this is how this bussiness service to us! I never want to support this place again!

Yelp
Great food at reasonable prices. My son's favorite is tempura cold soba. My favorite is Saba (fish) plate. I felt rice is bit dry.

Yelp
Misasa (Irvine, CA) Items: 1. Pork Cutlet Rice Curry | $8 | 5/5 Review: - The BEST $8 LUNCH I have ever had! I can't believe this was $8?! That's almost the cost of my boba drink at Orobae. - A lot of kids and families around, so probably a great place to spend the weekend at if you have kids. - This food court is amazing! There are workers that frequently clean the tables so there will eventually be a place to sit even during rush hours. - The lines for these food courts can get pretty long! - I love the food displays. They are pretty accurate to how your food will look like in real life. So much better than pictures on a menu Parking: Free. There is a large parking structure.

Yelp
We just moved to Irvine from Seattle and would like to try some Japanese food in Irvine. I took my wife and Mother-in-Law to Misasa inside Mitsuwa supermarket Irvine. We were so surprised at the menu price due to higher inflation. We ordered the following items. Grill Mackerel Plate ($10.25) Deep Fried Shrimp Bowl ($10.95) Pork Cutlet Bowl/ Kake Udon (Small) ($12.95) My Mother-in-Law said the fish did not taste salty. If it tasted salty, it's perfect. My wife and I like Pork Cutlet Bowl. Highly Recommended. If you would like to go out to eat and do not want to spend much money, Misasa is a good one to begin with. Just give it a try and you won't feel disappointed. Will go back definitely.

Yelp
Where else can you get a $6-7 bowl of udon or an $8 pork cutlet bowl these days? Misasa inside Mitsuwa at the food court is a great value for healthy, delicious Japanese food. My kids love the flowered egg udon, I typically get the sukiyaki bowl or oyakodon, and my husband likes their pork cutlet bowl. Every entree is under $10. Food always comes out quickly and piping hot!
google avatar

Tim P.

Yelp
Perhaps I visited on a bad day? Can't agree with other positive reviews as their rice was stale to the point of not being consumable. Food here is "average" at best, and many people stop by for the convenience, but it simply didn't deliver the "average" standard on that particular day when compared to previous visits.

Yelp
This place is great if you're looking for quick Japanese meals. I'm a big udon fan and was excited to try a place in the Mitsuwa food court. LOCATION: located inside Mitsuwa in the back corner PRICES: all fairly decent between $7-11 per plate. I ordered the beef udon (came out to be about $8.50 after tax). MENU: Variety of different options with tempura, fish, curry rice, and udons UDON: 4/5, is not overly salty like other nearby places, but also does not have as many toppings (only green onions) on the udon. They put alot of beef on the order and it is enough to fill you up. It was great to satisfy my craving, but not something I think I would crave every week. I'm excited to come back and try the other items like the tempura bowl!
google avatar

Irene C.

Yelp
I can't get over how delicious their pork cutlet curry is! It's super affordable at just around $8-$9 and I can't help but want to order more! I always crave this place because the curry is so fresh and the ginger topping mixed with the rice in one bite is just out of this world. Definitely an authentic and quick eat, located right in Mitsuwa. I personally think this is better than coco ichi.
google avatar

Byron C.

Yelp
Still just as good and NOW even cheaper since inflation! Why is this 3 stars on Yelp? No clue. Only reason I don't go here as often is I moved 20 minutes away but I'm scared of them closing due to not making enough profit! Authentic, good portion that I can eat until I'm stuffed, and $10 or below? What on earth? Maybe I should drive out more often instead of eating out at other places.

Yelp
I walked into this place after having some Orobae tea. Daughter was nearby doing ballet for 3 hours almost, I knew I should probably eat about now. Saw a line in front of this place, they showed the dishes they served on a display. The prices were a surprise because for Japanese food, everything was pretty much under $10 and they served dishes in a restaurant style. I chose a Shrimp Tempura bowl with 2 shrimp tempuras, 2 green beans, 1 potato and 1 sweet potatoe all tempura style. , Rather than rice, I requested for salad (there was no taste of dressing, only light vinegar). Additionally, they provided Miso soup in a bowl. Pleasantly, I was surprised I could have a good meal like this at a total of $10.67 I think it was at. I now know where I can get a good, Japanese meal or soba.
google avatar

Yelp
Located inside the supermarket of Mitsuwa, tucked in the corner... There you will find a display of dishes that they serve. You can't beat the price! Don't expect restaurant service. The setting is food court. Sit yourself and enjoy good food. It was basically made to order. I had their Tempura with sashimi box and it came with miso soup and rice! And some nice pickled sides. I waited 10min for my food and it was delicious. I ate everything!!! I might have been hungry. It was my lunch break. Definitely coming back here when I am in the area. I think I will try their curry next time. I heard people ordering that! Even though this is being served in the small food court, the dish was presented well.
google avatar

Yelp
Great simple Japanese fare for an economical price. Decent portion size. My family goes there frequently. It's basically unheard of for a family of three to eat out for under $40 but you can do it here!

Yelp
Took a very close up photo because by the time I remembered to take a photo, I was done with half my bowl. This is my go to place for a quick bite to eat because they have a pretty quick turnaround time! If there's only like 2-3 people in line, your food will come out pretty quickly. On top of that, I think this place is also more affordable then most others. Definitely hard to find a solid meal for under $10, but Misasa is the place for exactly that. This time around I got the pork cutlet curry bowl. You got a bed of soft rice, some well fried pork, a layer of Japanese curry, and a little bit of their pickled radishes. The pork was juicy and crispy even though it was soaked in that Japanese curry! The dish came with quite a bit of rice, but it was a little too easy to finish with their curry. Overall, this place hits the spot when it comes to quick and affordable food. If you're ever in Mitsuwa, they have a bunch of great looking dishes on display!!

Food is good customer service is horrible though I ordered my usual from Sergio and he told me that it was this other combo so I said yeah that's fine when I got tot he car and saw it wasn't my usual I went back he proceeded to say it was my fault for not being specific and the way I ordered it to begin with was right and he didn't say sorry all he gave me was attitude listen to customers also will not be returning for this bad attitude

Yelp
I'm super surprised at the low ratings for this place. They offer a variety of entrees from bento boxes, udon, soba, curry, and rice bowls. Each entree is around $8-9 dollars which is affordable. My go to orders would be the katsudon or the pork cutlet curry. They always end up filling me up. The wait times aren't too bad either- usually takes like 5-10 minutes to get my order. I recently got the pork cutlet curry with salad which was $8.55 which isn't too bad since the pork cutlet curry by itself was $8. The curry was good and the pork cutlet was juicy. Overall, Misasa isn't too bad if you're looking for cheap Japanese food so, if you're happen to be hungry after shopping around Mitsuwa, stop by here!

Yelp
I am very surprised at all the bad ratings for this place! I've been coming here ever since I was a UCI student back in 2013 and I always get the chicken cutlet curry. It's pretty decent curry and I always find the chicken to be juicy. Sure it's not mind blowing but for the price it's really good! I can't say anything about the udon dishes because I literally only come here for the chicken curry. Wait times are never too bad and I've had a negative customer service experience. If you're looking for a cheap chicken curry place, this is the place to go!!

Yelp
The two dishes we ordered from Misasa really hit the spot. Chicken curry cutlet and Deep fried shrimp bowl were really flavorful. Definitely the 45 minute drive to get here.

Yelp
A local go-to lunch spot in the ever busy Mitsuwa food court. Originally came for ramen but forgot I never carry cash. Good thing Misasa accepts cards! Inside: It's your standard Mitsuwa supermarket. You can either go through the main entrance in the plaza passing by different aisles and little stores or through the back that connects directly to the food court. It's obviously not an embellished location - essentially a cafeteria. But if you've been to Japan, it's a bit endearing and homey in my opinion. Misasa is the last station, in the far corner, with a large sign above. Next to the register is a glass case with fake food as a visual menu for everyone. To the right is a water station and sides/condiments. Food: I've had their currys, bento boxes, and bowls. But since it's been awhile I'll comment on what I ate for this review - their Pork Cutlet Bowl and Small Udon (around $11). Twas a cold day so the udon warmed me up pretty well. The noodles were a bit too soggy, may have been in the soup for awhile, but good nonetheless. For the PCB, the rice was cooked and flavored just right - firm, with the right amount of water. The pork cutlet was tender and moist, with a decent flake. The food overall was filling but not heavy. Overall: If you're expecting fancy restaurant quality cuisine, you've come to the wrong place. This is a Japanese based food court (and honestly better than most, if not all American food courts) and it's not here to thrill you, but to feed you and allow you to be on your way. So swing by for a quick bite or quick dinner. You'll definitely enjoy it.

Yelp
Whenever we are at Mitsuwa in Irvine, we never fail to grab some lunch here. Our go to is always the bento sashimi and tempura. Never fails to satisfy us. I have seen other customers have curry will definitely try it next time. Service is reasonable with the customers they have. The place can be packed though especially since it is just a small food court.

Yelp
I been enjoying their Ginger pork plate for 3years almost everyweek. But starting few month ago, the portion of the meat reduced a lot. It makes me still hungry after finish the whole meal. Im so sad.

Yelp
Great tasting food from a food court. It is located inside of Mitsuwa. My favorite orders here are grilled salmon with soy butter, chicken katsu curry and yakinku beef. Salmon taste fresh. The chicken katsu is nice and crisp and crunchy. Not too oily for katsu. Their food is always seasoned just right! The price is fair and portions are decent. Customer service is good, young man behind the counter is always friendly and polite.
