Great location by the waterfront. The pastries are fresh. I tried their apply fritter which was very sweet but the bread was like a chewy doughnut which was very good. The scone was mediocre - very crumbly.

It's always a bumber when coffee shops don't have mugs and unfortunately the coffee itself was just okay. I don't know if it's just in my mind but I think the plastic doesn't help the taste either. That being said, there is some great patio seating on the second floor and the staff seems pretty friendly. The wood design with big windows makes it feel warm and cozy as well.

It was my first time in and I had a great experience. Kilee was my barista, she was so knowledgeable and helpful picking out what I wanted. It was my first time in as I said but not the last. She made the best coffee I've had. I wish more places had such dedicated, polite, and hardworking employees. If you're looking for a great cup of Joe. Swing by Misha's 10/10!

While there I ordered a large vanilla iced coffee, med lemonade, and a glazed donut. The line was long and the system they have does not make it flow for the customer to be in and out. My coffee was ok nothing fabulous and the station to add your cream because they don't was dirty and a mess. Their lemonade is very tart if you like it that way. Now the donut was fluffy, airy and fresh with just enough glaze to where it wasn't overly sweet.

lovely little place by the water! seating is incredibly limited and was jam-packed on a monday afternoon (though it was a holiday), but it had a balcony, which, I must assume is great when it’s not below freezing outside. my oat milk latte was good, nothing to write home about, maybe a 6.5 out of 10. I’ve had other lattes in Alexandria that I prefer, but this one certainly wasn’t bad by any means. the staff was very kind and efficient, and while I do wish I liked the vegan apple pastry I got, it was just unfortunately soggy and not as flavorful as I had been hoping for. I’d love to come back and try some of their other baked goods - maybe when it’s warmer out so I can snag a seat on the balcony!

I stopped by the King Street location as it was highly recommended by my dental hygienist. I tried their iced matcha with oat milk and it did not disappoint. The drink was sprinkled with iced and not overwhelmed with ice. There was a perfect amount of matcha and splash of sweetness. The interior offered a peaceful and moody vibe that’s perfect for a quick chat, teleworking or a time for a solo sip. Outdoor seating along the sidewalk is a great spot to enjoy the weather and people watch. I will definitely be back again.

A really lovely coffee shop by the riverside. Had a great experience here — relaxing vibes, caught up on some news, and got a bit of work done. Nice and chilled! Highly recommended if you are in this neighborhood

Google
This is my favorite coffee shop in Old Town, specifically the Prince Street location near the Potomac River. I really enjoy sitting on the rooftop terrace to enjoy watching the sunrise over the river. The sticky buns are delicious and the lattes are made to perfection. Keep up the great work!

Yelp
Stopped by Misha's and tried what I believe was the pecan sticky bun (we're calling it that ). It was really good, soft and flavorful. I do wish they had offered to warm it up because I think that would've taken it to the next level. I didn't think to ask until I sat down, but I feel like that small touch would've made a great treat even better. I also had the lavender fog latte and wow... 10/10. Smooth, floral, just the right amount of sweet. I was so inspired I'm now on a mission to recreate it at home! I sat upstairs by the window next to the rooftop, and the vibe was perfect! It was quiet, chill, and great for working. I got some business planning done and enjoyed the cozy setup. Only downside? The AC was directly on my back where I was sitting, though it may be a plus for some haha. There's only one bathroom stall, so a bit of a line forms when it gets busy. Overall, I'd give it a 4/5. Great drinks, good food, solid atmosphere. Definitely planning to return! I want to try the strong espresso that everyone raves about!

Yelp
This place popped out at me because it shares the name with my sweet tabby cat I lost last year. The cafe has a beautiful location near the water, and the rooftop seating gave a nice view of the park. It's a wonderful place to enjoy a hot or iced beverage. I had a London Fog Latte with oatmilk and really enjoyed it. They also had a delicious apple strudel, which was a nice vegan treat. The staff was nice and asked questions to make sure they got your order right. It was clean inside and out, I really enjoyed spending a little bit of my morning here.

Yelp
I went to this coffee shop while I was down south visiting friends. They said that it was a popular shop loved by many. I got a tea latte while here and it didn't disappoint. My friend got a lemonade and said it was great too. It was a cute shop and the girl who helped me was so nice and helpful. The shop itself was very cute too. It was def worth checking out!
google avatar

Amanda N.

Yelp
This was not the first place we stopped for coffee - but it should have been. I only got a drip, but it was fantastic. The folks were friendly and let me know they roast their beans at their other location. I got the medium roast and it didn't disappoint. Plenty of space to hang out or you can walk to the water front nearby.

Yelp
Cute coffee spot for whatever your vibe is. If seeking a place to work, might be best to go upstairs where there the space is smaller and a bit quieter. As I was here in the winter, I didn't get to enjoy the rooftop space, but I hear it's a great area in the warmer weather and provides a nice water view.
google avatar

Yelp
Misha's Coffee was a great experience! I had a coffee and an apple pastry. The staff was kind and the roof top seating over looked some amazing scenery. If you're in the area, I definitely recommend.
google avatar

Jasmine T.

Yelp
Finally got a chance to check out this location after hearing about it for a while! The staff was so helpful and pleasant! I got a lavender iced coffee and a coffee cake, which were both just what I needed! This location has three spaces open for seating: inside on the first and second floor and the rooftop! I obviously chose to work on the rooftop which was cool even on a hot day! It wasn't too crowded out there and I was happy to see there were outlets as well! I'll definitely be making my way back there!!

Yelp
I go to Misha's every time I am in Alexandria, because they have great coffee, roasted locally, and a warm atmosphere. Unfortunately, life has kept me away for about a year. I was excited to be back in the area and able to visit one of my all-time favorite coffee spots to grab an afternoon Cafe Breve to drink while I wandered King St. Everything was up to standard except the illusory superior barista, that instead of saying they didn't understand my order, proceeded to educate on the origin of the words "cafè" and "breve" in a tone dripping with condescension. With her poor understanding of "cafè" meaning coffee (however in the birthplace of this word it is espresso) and "breve" meaning made with half and half (actually meaning short in Italian, but that's semantics) created a sub-par latte that was not the typical Misha's delight.

Yelp
Great coffee shop in Old Town. Large area for small tables in the front - decorated in bold red. Quieter area in back near the imported beans. Staff did a good job. There is a large selections of pies that look terrific.
google avatar

Christopher Allen M.

Yelp
Was walking around the area and stopped in this coffee shop. The service was quick and the prices were relatively decent ($3 for a double shot of espresso). The roaster in the back was cool to see and had I not been on a walk, I would've considered purchasing some to bring back home. Ambiance was typical coffee shop vibe. It was relatively busy for early afternoon as well so it was a good sign. The coffee was pretty standard.

Frank O.

Yelp
Orders an Americano from there and tasted like hot water. I would have said something but I was on my way to work and didn't have time The sausage roll is good but Starbucks coffee is better
google avatar

Bill M.

Yelp
Great coffee quick service do not miss the chocolate croissants. Good selection of teas also.
google avatar

Lauren S.

Yelp
Just popped in to cool down in the summer heat. The barista made an off menu drink that was chocolate and lavender. It was amazing. So much flavor but not super sweet. Wish I had another morning on my trip to come back and try the food.
google avatar

Jim G.

Yelp
Delicious French press coffee to go plus a rare treat- English sausage rolls! Wow- such a nice surprise- and delicious.

Yelp
Despite the lack of reviews, this coffee shop is packed. I guess people know about the awesome 2nd floor patio with waterfront views. Great way to relax with a cup of coffee. I got their Staff Recommendation of the Week: Cinnamon Hazelnut Latte, which I got a 20oz ($6.15) w Half & Half (+$0.80). It is on the pricey side for sure, maybe even more than Starbucks, but it sure is tasty.

Yelp
I met my uncle here last weekend after not realizing there were two locations in Alexandria and we each went to a different one. My spot won out because it was less busy and more seating available around 1030 on a Saturday. Their menu is vast, they moved through their line pretty quickly, and their coffee was good. My uncle has a dirty chai. He let me try it and I have to say, it was the strongest chai spice I've ever had. I would definitely want to add some vanilla or something to make it a little sweet for my taste. I had a hazelnut latte and it was great. Prices are standard. He had a slice of their coffee crumb cake and I had their yellow cake with chocolate icing. Both were delicious. They have ample seating with tables downstairs, upstairs, and a patio. Many people came in with their pooches and went directly to the patio which I kept in mind for my next visit! The only thing that was awkward is they didn't ring you up until your drink was ready but not consistently, which left some cashiers wondering if some customers had paid, or all of a sudden having you come back to the register to pay. Not as efficient as having you pay as they type it in. Otherwise, a great place only slightly off the beaten path of King St, which I prefer, and I'll definitely be back, with my dog for the patio!

Yelp
Delicious! Located along a busy strip in Alexandria, which is already a great spot to walk around already, this coffee shop feels authentic and offers a great / unique blend of pastries, pies, coffees, and teas with ample indoor and outdoor seating. Staff are super friendly and do not rush you to order. Price are fair and some of their pies are baked in house. There's also really nice outdoor seating for people watching and savoring your coffee. Highly recommend this local spot and suggest you try the food beyond just drinking their coffee or tea.

Yelp
Kaleb is the best barista artist ever! Ask him to make your vanilla latte (hot or cold or sugar free) and prepared to be wowed with a caffeinated (or decaffeinated) blast of heaven! He's good! The espresso used at Misha's is also top notch and the coffee cake, strawberry cake, and PECAN STICKY BUNS toooo good! One complaint: why are so few sticky buns available on the days they're on the shelf. The store only receives 1-2 pecan sticky buns a few times a week despite the fact that the sticky buns are their BEST baked good offering (after that - the strawberry cake and the coffee cake tie for second best). Anyhoo, great staff, charming setting for dates, couples, or for singles, and a quaint indoor atmosphere that is sweetly classic! I hope this place - and the Misha's on King Street as well - continue to be so consistently superb bc Misha's is my FAVORITE Coffeehouse eatery ever!!! GOAT thus far!!! Facts! May Jesus Christ, thru His Virgin Mother Mary, bless the Misha's staff, patrons, admins, ALL families and us ALL! Amen

Yelp
Coffee was good, this is a great place to study, get some work done. I didn't go upstairs but the reviews say it's also nice
google avatar

Yelp
Coffee shop with a bunch of different drink and pastry options It is a popular spot so it can feel a little chaotic, especially when ordering. Have a few tables on the first floor, but also additional seating, both inside and outside, that is upstairs. The upstairs outside seating has a pretty nice view of the water as well I got a vanilla late and an apple fritter. The latte was underwhelming, but the pastry was pretty tasty.
google avatar

Sumayah M.

Yelp
i don't know why i keep coming here. menu board says chai latte is 5.80 but was charged 6.50

D M.

Yelp
Chai is a little weak - a little too much milk but not too bad. Service is great though.
google avatar

Yelp
Nice coffee shop with indoor and outdoor seating. They have many flavored coffee options for hot and cold. We had a peppermint iced latte and a lavender iced latte for ~ $12. They also had pastries that looked good. Staff was super nice and drinks came out quickly!
google avatar

An A.

Yelp
Prices match the location, so expect to pay $6 or more per coffee! Baristas were efficient and able to help you select drinks. Some pastries and savory breakfast items were available, along with a well curated selection of to go drinks in the fridge. I loved the dirty pumpkin chai special they had!
google avatar

Yelp
Check your order for accuracy. We went in on a not-so-busy afternoon a few weeks ago. I ordered a chai latte with whole milk. The guy at the front spent about 30 seconds giggling over this choice of words --"we call that regular milk." It was all fun and games, a little embarrassing but, you know, whatever. I can be down with the youth. After paying, and tipping, I was presented a regular latte. The guy who made fun of me for saying "whole milk" was too busy laughing at his own joke to listen to what I ordered --a chai latte. Didn't feel like it was going to be a productive or endearing experience going back and asking for the right thing. The others in my group got what they ordered. I like the deck upstairs.
google avatar

Lynne S.

Yelp
Outstanding! I always try to pop into this cute coffee shop whenever in the Old Town area. It's the perfect location to grab a quick cup and head to people watch down by the water. I was greeted by Timothy who energetically took my order. I explained that I typically like my coffee with my cream and sugar, so he recommended a vanilla latte with almond milk. I agreed and reminded him that I enjoy a sweeter tasting coffee, and he said he got me! Well, Timothy was ON POINT!!! The vanilla latte (4 pumps of vanilla 3 pumps of hazelnut I think) was deliciously sweet and perfect to enjoy as my afternoon delight! I enjoyed this tasty treat while sitting on a bench - people watching the afternoon away.

Yelp
Service is quick and efficient. Cozy seating and room for upstairs seating as well as a patio seating option on nice days. You get a nice view of the waterfront. I had a lavender latte and a plain croissant, it was just what I needed to get my day started. I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
My friend and I stumbled upon this coffee spot coming from eating. We went inside and one of the workers was telling us about the bakery items and the coffee. My friend got some tea and he said it was really delicious. I did t want anything. I do want to go back this summer because they have a rooftop that serves drinks so when the weather breaks I will definitely go over and have a drink.
google avatar

Mike R.

Yelp
Hi, location is key to this place. And of course the coffee and everything else such as customer experience, is great too.
google avatar

Lauren S.

Yelp
The line was long when we came in but it moved very quickly! The front area was crowded but by the time we were done getting our coffee it cleared out a lot - and plenty of seated space downstairs and upstairs. We really liked the nitro sweet cream- and the iced vanilla latte was good but tangy and I almost wish had more ice so it could've been a little colder. But would go back!
google avatar

Leyl B.

Yelp
Fantastic coffee and pastries, fast and friendly service, and great location. We were visiting Old Town for a long weekend and ended up going to Misha's every morning!
google avatar

Sharmane G.

Yelp
Lovely coffee spot! Wi-Fi is spotty (especially outdoors it seems). There's two floors , so don't be deceived by the smaller first floor cafe area. Always a nice selection of baked goods to distract you. Espresso is very good. The coffee is also good! They have some seasonal drinks also which is fun to try. Overall lovely space. I think the actual site is a bit industrial and not as cozy but workers are always efficient.
google avatar

Tiffany W.

Yelp
Came on a Sunday at 11:30am to meet some friends. The line to place orders was out the door, so that lets you know that folks like it. A friend was already upstairs at a table, so I went right in. The upstairs area is very small and only has 1 high top table and one regular height table. And a unisex restroom. But there's a balcony overlooking the water, which is nice. Friends ordered a couple of pastries, one savory and the vegan apple one. They also ordered coffee and said it was really good (one friend ordered beans to go). I'm not a huge coffee drinker, but I would return for the vibe and location.

Yelp
Mishas is a regular stop for me and I must recommend it anyone! I've been to both the new location on the waterfront and the other one on King. I love this location, aside from the occasional flooding that the area experiences....and I love the view from the rooftop terrace. The top level also has a nice bar top for the evening time. They have a large variety of pastries that are delivered regularly and one of the baristas is learning to make amazing latte designs! I went today and he made a seahorse....yeah, a seahorse!!!!! This is the best place to stop while walking your dog, you always see so many pups when you go.
google avatar

Shannon L.

Yelp
This is the second location for Misha's coffee as their main one is on King Street, but I love how close it is to the waterfront park! You can get good views of the river and have a nice space to hang out on their rooftop patio, it's also a great place to work since they don't have music playing overhead and they have plenty of space and outlets. I got the Nutella latte and it was quite delicious at a good price point, it wasn't overly sweet and the Nutella flavor pairs great with the milk and espresso. Even when you get to the bottom of the cup you don't swallow a chunk of syrup or sugar, it's the perfect blend and helps with a good start to the work day.
google avatar

Cara E.

Yelp
I went to Misha's today to meet up with a friend. The vibe is really cozy and has a street market vibe downstairs while the upstairs bar area has a little more light and limited seating. My friend told me they roast their own coffee so I had a iced latte and a bagel. The coffee was incredible -- it had fabulous body and would highly recommend getting a cup if you pop in. The bagel was basic, but it tasted freshly baked which was a bonus. It's worth noting that they have lots of other pastries and cakes and quiches if that's more your speed: my friend ordered something called a kiwi pie that had cheese, bacon, eggs, and potatoes and it looked killer. The employees were nice and attentive and seemed to run like a well oiled machine -- one of the benefits of going to a mom and pop, but always never not welcome. I would come here again for sure if I happen to be in Old Town.
google avatar

Justine T.

Yelp
I stopped for a quick pick-me-up with friends and was let down by my overpriced iced chai latte. Half of it was just milk, and there was barely any chai flavor. The service was decent and pretty quick but it resulted in a poorly made latte. It felt and tasted like I was just drinking milk. Standing in line and ordering was confusing for me and others waiting to order. We didn't know where the line started and you would have to just come up to the bar, not the register, and wait for a barista to come ask if you want to order, or get their attention. It was a bit chaotic and unorganized. I don't recommend the drink I got, and I didn't enjoy my experience here. Maybe other drinks are better, but I won't be coming back to try them anyways. Next!
google avatar

Orest S.

Yelp
This is one of the most recommended coffee places in Alexandria Old Town. The terrace on the second floor is nice and covered with the tent. Coffee is really good, you can get not just americano, but also french-press. Pastry is must be great, at least the Apple strudel was tasty.
google avatar

Monica T.

Yelp
Love the outdoor patio upstairs overlooking the water. Extensive latte menu with lots of flavors. I tried the "staff recommended" latte of the week which was strawberry mocha. Did it with oat milk and half the strawberry -- fun flavor and not overly sweet. FYI very pricey -- the medium latte with the oat milk was over $7 I went at 8am on a Tuesday and it was easy to find street parking (paid parking).
google avatar

Yelp
Came here mid bike ride and it was in a perfect location for a break! It's also right next to a bike shop so added plus :) Got one of their fall specials (love fall y'all), Gingerbread Latte and it came out quickly and perfectly! The only egg item available to eat was the quiche and it was tasty! A little bland but the egg was good. Great aesthetic although I didn't check out the patio. Definitely a solid option for Old Town, especially on a perfect autumn day.

Kyle E.

Yelp
Food/coffee was fine. Barista got angry at me when I didn't tip. Tip selection wasn't working and there was a long line, so I opted to try the "skip" option to just complete the transaction anyways. Barista (green sweater 11/2/2024) looked over and saw the original total while boxing my pastry. She dropped the pastry box on the counter and pushed it several times like a child under the other pastry containers to where I could barely grab it. As if throwing a fit. I am sorry for not tipping - fix the iPad next time and I will gladly tip. My poor pasty was smacked around for no reason lol
google avatar

Yelp
Eh. Misha's is one of the few places in Old Town open before 7am (besides the chain coffee shops) so it doesn't have much competition to contend with. A few downsides of Misha's- parking is on-street and a game of pedestrian meets bus at 6am and the opening time of 6am is hit or miss. The coffee was mediocre and staff was unremarkable. They get 3 stars only because they spared me from relying in hotel coffee, a chain or a keurig cup at work.
google avatar

Mel L.

Yelp
Meh. Very cute outdoor patio (upstairs). Mediocre drinks. I got a matcha latte that had no flavor... it was cheap, low-quality matcha that was watered down. My brother got an oatmilk latte, which was also watered down. Service was also meh. There was no one behind us and one lady was rude, but the other lady was nice. I'll be exploring other coffee spots. I don't recommend this one.

Tamy T.

Yelp
Super cute cafe with nice views, inside and out. Howeverrrrr if you plan on coming to study or work and don't like too much stimuli, this might not be the place. It's usually packed, even in the early afternoon and the music is pretty loud; at least for me in terms of studying. Coffee is great and decently priced though!!

Yelp
*Okay, since Yelp says to finish my review on this business, I have done so. Twice.* 12/5/21 The sun was setting fast on this cool Suday evening. The cool breeze coming off the Potomac River was nice. We had spend a good part of the day putzing around in Old Town Alexandra. I gotta say that I wasn't planning on stopping by Misha's Coffeehouse, but the wife wanted to. Sometimes you gotta pick your battles kid and this wasn't one of those times. As we steeped through the doors, I felt like we had been blown back in time. The sounds of Sidney Bechet's When the Sun Sets Down South was playing as we waited in line. This set the mood for me. I saw beautiful white women in the shop wearing various colors of Polka Dot Cocktail Swing Dresses with Short Sleeves.  The few blackfolk in the shop were in all black suits and ties while the women wore various colors of black, red, purple or green pencil dress cocktail party dresses.   As I looked around everything slow went from color to black and white.  Everyone except the one woman who severed my wife.  Her hair was colored green and black. She wore a black pencil dress with purple sash. I think of the woman as Marlena Crosby. She seemed to be a no nonsense type of woman. The black hat she wore seem to tell me she was the boss. As I came out of my 40's/50's trip down memory lane, I saw the place still had this old vibe to it.  I like the pictures on the wall and the look of the upstairs bar area.   There is seating upstairs stairs; as well, as outside on the deck. You can get a nice view of the Potomac River from the height you are at. I could just imagine sitting hear listening to Sidney Bechet's Joshua Fit De Battle Of Jericho while drinking my beverage of choice. Oh, let's not forget Misha's Coffeehouse has food snacks you can eat here too. I just did not order anything because I was still full from they place we ate at earlier. Still, my wife like the drink she had, but it did have a lot of ginger in it.   We will most likely be back for more of that 50's and 40's feel.

Ilene G.

Yelp
I've gotten coffee here before. Went to add cream and sugar and that whole area was infested with flying bugs. Trying to get to the creamers, honey etc. I reported it and she just took one creamer away. That whole area needs to be disassembled, cleaned and pest control person to be called On on positive note, the coffee was good but the baristas are not friendly which was always the case
google avatar

Yelp
Lovely coffee shop right near the water. The staff was very friendly and we were served quickly

Yelp
Have always enjoyed Misha's at its original location (first on S Patrick and now around the corner on King) but this location it particularly fun, albeit with seemingly less seating. Have been twice now in as many weeks and enjoyed the pistachio latte both times. Can't wait to go back when the outdoor rooftop is open (okay it was open both times but too cold for my liking, and they didn't have the heaters on) and/or for a beer or wine at their second floor bar area.
