We went for an early dinner and drinks, this place was very fun. The food and cocktails were well thought out and prepared amazingly. I wasn't expecting the food and drinks to be so elevated, it was a surprise in the best way. Our server was fantastic. He was friendly, knowledgeable of the menu, and efficient. The vibe is really cool here. The bathroom was very clean and the decor is clean with some neat Lovecraft images mixed in.

Although I’m admittedly not a big drinker, Miskatonic has consistently been one of our go-to restaurant spots when we’re in the Naperville area. My husband is always like a kid in a candy store with a list of different beers he’s excited to try, and I always look forward to exploring new dishes on the menu. And while I leave with doggie bags with leftovers, he typically leaves with new cases of beer as his “doggie bags.” Even my picky eater of a son loves their kids meal options, so there is truly something for everyone here! It’s a relaxed environment, and we’ve always experienced great customer service from the staff. All are welcomed in this truly unique spot, and we will definitely be back again soon!

Miskatonic Brewing Cradt Kitchen in downtown Naperville is fantastic! Their menu is focused on sausages and they also have a lot of appetizers and sandwiches. Their cocktail menu is extensive, they have wine choices, and their craft beer selections are delicious! A must stop in downtown Naperville!

Google
Tried the eggplant “chorizo”- amazing and unlike anything I’ve had before, and the pimento cheese with sour dough-nothing special but very delicious. Can’t wait to come back! This place has such a great vibe, great staff and a really impressive and unique menu.

Google
My fiancee and I took our three kids here after a day of ice skating, and I would definitely go back. Our waiter was friendly and thoughtful about things like lids on cups for the younger ones. I had the walleye catch of the day and it was perfectly cooked, creative, and so beautifully plated that I took a picture. The vibe was really nice.

Beautiful interior, super nice staff. Got the wings and smashburger. Both INCREDIBLE. Smash burger deserves to be on a top list somewhere!

We were in downtown Naperville and decided to stop by here for the first time. My husband loves their beer, so we had to try! The drinks are absolutely fantastic; I got the Naperville Mom which was delicious with a candy garnish! My husband really enjoyed his Hungarian sausage and I loved the smashburger. Their fries were so light and airy and perfectly cooked. Really looking forward to another trip to Naperville

Google
Delicious food, divine beers, and delightful people! Will definitely be back. 12 of their beers on tap, and a gauntlet of signature cocktails (including a surprisingly tasty one featuring the Chicago classic, Malört). There are also guest ciders and wines available. Went with some friends and we tried a bunch of small plates and sausages: all were quickly devoured… would highly recommend the spring rolls, the salt and pepper wings, and the whipped ricotta with honeycomb and apples. Located right next to a parking garage, parking is plentiful. 11/10

Yelp
Finding out this local brewery has a pretty big food menu was surprising because it's got a lot more than just beers. It certainly has more at this location. Miskatonic is the best reason to go to Darien, but you should also check out this Naperville location and drink up. Has quite a few beers on tap and a good variety of different stuff to choose from. There's also a pretty big food menu of salads and sausages. Getting here was kind of fun but it was annoying. It's hard to find parking around this brewery especially in evenings. There's the parking garage that you'll have to walk from. Know The Lantern is almost across the street and you'll be close. This is in the middle of a row of restaurants. Once inside we were able to get a table, but found a better location to get drinks and food ordered at the bar. The beer I got was the Vox. It's $7 for a pint. This is a pilsner that's real smooth. She got the Midnight Rider, a sour ale. The other beer we got was the West Coast Wizard, an IPA. All were good. They have a pretty big food menu. It's about $16 for a sausage entree. You can substitute a veggie sausage. A few flavors to choose from, but most of these come with bacon. The Nurnberger Bratwurst is topped with mustard and sauerkraut. Makes sense getting that one and substituting it with the veggie sausage of course. They also often have live music. Hearing great things about it and these are true apparently. It's closed Mondays. There's tons of beers as well as sausages that can be made for vegetarians.

Yelp
Super friendly staff and plenty of seating at this location. I only tried their beer and it was good. I would return to try their food items.

Yelp
We stopped in Saturday late afternoon and had a flight to try a variety of their beers. Big fan of all the beers we tried. Great service from the team, everyone had a smile (and I'm sure it had been a very busy day). We came back Sunday for brunch, variety of seating options, we decided to people watch at the window. We tried the homemade sausages, and ended up staying awhile to have another beer or two. Excellent service from Marianne and Tim.

Yelp
My friend and I had a lovely appetizer & cocktail themed meal here after an author event on the Naperville Central campus. My friend had the curry fries and I had the pimento cheese dip. Both were very good and I would get them again. Our server was very nice- bar service was a little slow- but communication on that was good. The vive of the location was great as well- we enjoyed the merch they had for sale, the decor, etc. I, of course, can't remember the name of the specialty cocktail- but they had so many that looked good on the menu. The book it was based on is vampire themed- and I thought the smoky beverage was a great fit in style and taste. Will absolutely be back if I am in the area.

Yelp
I don't like their beer, never have! My latest visit confirms this...came here last night after leaving a family party in Naperville. I've had about 3 of their beers previously at different bars & locales, they never appealed to me. Decided to give them another chance while in the area. The beer was average tasting, I had a flight of 4 different beers which none of them stood out to me. Most places have a flat fee for a flight, this place does not. They charge you the rate of each individual beer's 5oz rate. Also tried a 16oz of a fifth & sixth beer, to no avail. My wife had a cocktail(Peach Pit) that she enjoyed at least. The service was attentive & friendly. The ambiance was a dark modern vibe, almost gothic. At the end of the day, it's all about the product for me. I'm done trying Miskatonic.

Yelp
Miskatonic always has something great brewing up! We're a big fan of the Darien brewery, and excited to try the brew pub in Naperville - and it didn't disappoint! The location is great, right near all the great walkable downtown. But even better than the location is their menu! The food is fantastic - we struggled to decide what to get but everything was delicious. We also loved their cocktail menu, and especially the rotating cocktail that supports a local non profit. Our server was fantastic and we loved the live music on a Friday night - we can't wait to be back, whether for a date night or a night out with friends.

Yelp
They have excellent food and better beer. I love coming here to just completely chill. The service has a great vibe.

Yelp
Went during the week with a group including a couple kids. The staff was very nice, and they were patient with the kids needs. It was pretty quiet, but it was early evening. Our drinks and food came out pretty quick after ordering. I had one of their IPAs, the West Coast Wizard. I am definitely an IPA drinker, and this just felt ok to me. Lacked a little bite that I was hoping for. I ordered one of their housemade sausages, which was good. I would probably skip the frites next time though, as they just seemed like a fast food type. I liked that they source as local as possible, and portion sizes were solid. The decor/vibe felt weird to me. Almost like they were trying too hard to not look like a brewery. While our service was great, it just wouldn't be on the top of my list to go back to right away.

Yelp
It was a nice surprise to find a place where the dishes are very well crafted, beautifully presented, tasty, and sufficiently portioned. Their house sausages are amazing with unconventional toppings or condiments... strongly recommended. The service is attentive, friendly, and ready to answer questions. Their own variety of craft beers represents different styles that accommodate different tastes. The sample beer flight tray is very unique and goes with the decoration and furniture. Also they have some craft cocktails that are very tempting from reading their descriptions ... perhaps the next time!

Yelp
The Miskatonic Craft Kitchen in downtown Naperville has as expected a solid selection of beers. The Craft Kitchen is a great compliment to a wide beer selection. The food is thoughtfully sourced and with bratwurst being on the menu this should make Miskatonic a stop for those looking for more than just a beer. What else goes better with a beer? What else goes better with a brat? Miskatonic Naperville has a great friendly staff with great service. They also have a solid lineup with cocktails, brunch, a kids menu, and are even open for lunch. The space here is huge and can accommodate larger parties. In the warmer months the large windows open to the outside making this a nice addition to downtown Naperville.

Yelp
Located in downtown Naperville, Miskatonic is a brewery that serves food. When you walk in they have the windows up to allow fresh air and have plenty of seating. They have a decent selection of beers that they brew and I enjoyed the ones I've tried. Outside of beer they have liquor and an extensive cocktail menu. I didn't try their cocktails but looking at other's drinks they did look good. The staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable of their product and other items as well. I decided to get food from here and went with the pork belly sandwich. The pork belly was amazing! Cooked and seasoned perfectly. It had a nice meaty portion but the fatty part was perfectly rendered. It came with a slew of fresh toppings which added a nice refreshing touch. The fries on the side were also good. This is a great place to visit during the day for a bite to eat or grab a drink but I'm sure you can also have a good time during the later hours. I will frequent this place when I'm in the area.

Yelp
New location in Naperville just opened up. It is clean, organized and such an inviting feel. The bartenders, host and servers were great! We tried 3 or their beers, all IPA and they were delicious! Did not get food this time but the fries look like a HUGE portion and the wings looked perfectly cooked(from other tables). This is a must try in downtown Naperville!

Yelp
Excellent food and drinks at this downtown Naperville location! Really great having Miskatonic closer to home! Waitstaff were friendly and helpful. Good and drinks were excellent. We stopped here on a Saturday night, and the menu suited everyone. Making plans to return for brunch. Washrooms were nice and clean. Due to traffic and construction, I recommend using the free public parking garages. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

Yelp
I was visiting my brother who lives in Naperville, and he wanted to try this place out. It was a trendy minimalist ambience. They have an open window concept and it's late May, so we sat by a window. It wasn't as busy as where we were initially going to eat, but we don't know why since the service, food, and atmosphere there is really great! They have beer specials on Thursdays, and my brother really enjoyed his $5 IPA. I don't drink, and they have mocktails and pop and water. Idk if I'd bring kids here as the menu is limited. I'd like to see more menu items. Sausages seem to be the main fare there, but they offer salads, a smash burger, and a couple other things that aren't sausages. Try them out!

Yelp
2nd location for Miskatonic brewery, this one located in downtown Naperville. It's a bit farther drive from the city, and harder to park, but it's a very nice space, and is right amongst several other bars and restaurants. While the Darien Miska is just BYO food, and sells some snacks, this one has a kitchen and a full food menu, specializing in sausages. I got the Hungarian one, very good, came with fries, and a pretty big portion. The tap list is pretty similar to the Darien location, with maybe a few new ones, not 100% sure, but there's still plenty to choose from. They have a lot of space inside, a big bar in the center, and then multiple tables. I'm happy for them that they are big enough for 2 locations. I'll likely just keep visiting Darien since it's closer to me, but I'm glad I got to check it out, and would recommend to everyone, especially if they live close to it.

Yelp
Recently tried the smash burger this past weekend and wow - delicious stuff! The patties had a proper smash and were well-seasoned. Loved the thinly shaved white onion on the bottom bun as well with the crispy shredded lettuce. My only "complaint" - and this is just a personal preference - is that mine was drowning in burger sauce. The sauce is very good and had a nice tangy flavor to it, but the amount of it made it hard to keep the patties from sliding out. But aside from that, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was fun per usual. Oh! And the fries were excellent.

Chris H.

Yelp
Miskatonic has just the right vibes for a casual night of beers and food. We like coming here because it's a touch quieter than the other bar-restaurants in Naperville, and because we usually never have to wait for a table. They always have a good selection of their own beers on tap. The Vox pilsner in particular is a favorite. The homemade sausages are excellent, as well as the condiments and buns which seem to be homemade or at least locally made as well. The "belgian" fries are like a less greasy McDonald's fry, also delicious. Overall a very solid brewery experience that's a great option if you're in downtown Naperville if you don't want to "dine" or be in a noisy bar environment.

Yelp
Went on Friday night around 9pm and it was right after the music ended . Place was pretty empty, probably around 10 people at tables and 5 people at the bar. The bartender greeted us right away with beer menu and water . Then we waited for 15 minutes watching several people working walking by us including bartender. It was like we were invisible. Finally after bartender stacked 15 glasses together and broke one in front of us he noticed us again. Tasted several beers and all were good . After finishing beer we waited to pay but bartender was talking to other work staff . We left the money on bar and left. Won't be back , poor service specially for being such a slow night and as much staff as they had. Some many other places downtown

Yelp
Loved the Tocino Pork Belly sandwich. Nicely seasoned and was simply yummy! Hubby had the Smashburger and enjoyed that as well (though a bit messy to eat). He asked for some hot sauce. Chef was kind enough to bring out his special blend. It went great with the burger and fries. All around great service.

Yelp
Came to check out this new brew pub on a Friday. My husband and I sat ourselves at the bar. Was greeted right away with two water. There was a nice selection of beer and house cocktails. The menu is small but everything we had was great. For apps we ordered the house made pimento cheese with the up charge for the house cured ham and spring rolls. The pimento cheese was delicious, I was honestly expecting the ham to come cut up and in the cheese versus the slice. The ham was a little tough and fatty, but flavorful. The spring rolls were stellar. The house made sausages are HUGE, the bartender did recommend maybe getting one to share. We ordered the Longaniza sausage that comes with Chimichurri, fried potato's and crunchy garlic which gave it a savory and sweet flavor. Will definitely be back to try more of the house made sausages and look forward to if they plan on changing the menu and bringing in different flavor profiles. Staff was extremely attentive and friendly. I believe one of our bartenders name was Nathan, he was awesome. If your looking for something new and refreshing, I highly recommend stopping and checking this place out!!

Yelp
Great beer and food! It was a quiet afternoon when we went, glad the construction is finally over!

Yelp
Kudos to Miskatonic on a top notch dining experience. We were looking for a restaurant to dine in on a Saturday night, as usual all places had up to an hour or longer waits. We saw this restaurant on a random walk looking for other options, as first time guests we were unsure what was in store. Impressed is an understatement. The menu offers various sausages that have diverse flavor profiles and toppings. They serve small plates, we ordered the cheddar pimento, which was very delicious. It was probably our favorite item of the night. Sausages were good. Happy with the condiments/toppings. Packed with good flavor and cooked to perfection. Cocktails and beer were great. Good selection at the bar. Backhanded Compliment cocktail, a recommendation from the waitress was a fun cocktail utilizing the unique taste of the chicago classic malort. Courtney B was a knowledgeable and helpful server. She was able to provide recommendations based on our unique preferences. She was fast and attentive with service. This establishment is lucky to have her on staff. Keep it up!

Yelp
Was there for a celebration for my wife beating cancer. Exquisitely made dishes. The menu seems a little underwhelming at first by reading and not cohesive exactly, but what you don't know until you eat the food, meet an expert staff and pay the bill...it's legit and I guarantee you can't make this menu at home. Sorry for the run on. Everything was great. That's what I love about this food experience. It's all so good and I found out the head chef was the sous chef from one of the best restaurants in Chicago the publican. It's all hand made and cooked to perfection. Just try it.

Yelp
First time here after being highly recommended. So often breweries are "either/or". You can tell they emphasize either the beer , or they excel at the food. Miskatonic elevates both and hits a home run with each. Batting clean up and scoring again is the professional attentive staff. We will be back!

Brad O.

Yelp
Went for dinner with family. Servers were very attentive. Food was good. Try the eggplant chorizo hummus!

Yelp
Great food, drinks and service! Strongly recommend to anyone going out in Naperville.

Yelp
Great place to have craft beer, trivia night on Thursday night is amazing fun great prizes bring your own beer, which is awesome. Also, you can bring a pet.

Yelp
Naperville has a lot of nice places, but this one is exemplary; if I were appearing on "Check, Please!" I'd definitely make everyone go here. We stopped here a few weeks ago more or less on a whim and had a great time with great food. Atmosphere - for a midday Sunday anyway - was casual, relaxed, not too noisy. Food is creative and outstanding whether you're ordering off of the brunch or lunch menu. As I said during our first visit, each plate is a conversation, and even with a small plate, Miskatonic has a lot of thoughtful things to say. Their raws are great and they mix them up in ways that deserve to be savored. Something as simple as toasted bread and butter becomes "a moment." Other moments include their house-made hot sauce and sausages, the hash, the spring rolls... and the bar's really, really good too! It appears Miskatonic is the whole package. While the whole staff is attentive and conversational to your need, I would suggest you ask for Will - he will make you feel at home and looks for ways to complement your experience. Did you say something about Jeppson's Malort? Well, here's a sample. Do you like craft beer? Well, we've got a special promotion running this month... It's always nice to find that new place that you want to recommend to your friends, right? Make the trip.

Yelp
Food was very good, reservations has been held even with changes.. we were set near the door so every time a group arrived or left we needed to put coats on. With children this was not great. Parking was a total fubar in down town Naperville. What a cluster F**k. Naperville and their snooty noses better make it a more amenable place for visitors. I find parking and better atmosphere I downtown Chicago. I will say once parked and inside, the appetizers and entrees were very good if not overwhelming. If it wasn't for being parked next to the door and parking, I would have given them a 5.

Yelp
Craft cocktails, beer, craft sausage, burgers, cool setting, fun servers. You should go here.

Yelp
This place is killing it!! All of the food is incredible, not just good, GREAT. The drinks are so delicious- don't do beer, no worries their cocktails are imaginative and delicious. Love the setup and the staff is TOP SHELF!!

Daniel O.

Yelp
There are some drawbacks to this place, the seating is a bit uncomfortable (modern, no padding), and their kitchen closes early. However the food is Amazing. The peach dessert is fine dining good, and there is a ton of variety and flavor on the menu. The chef often brings out the food. Even the cheeseburger is fantastic. The beer selection is also the best in Naperville.
google avatar

Sam W.

Yelp
this place, the food (especially the apps) and the staff are all great! Im not a beer girlie but I enjoy the selection

Kevin C.

Yelp
I had the Hungarian Sausage, and its house made and fantastic. There are also many excellent craft brews to enjoy as well. Overall, a great experience!

Jay W.

Yelp
Been there twice now, excellent selection of beers, great vibe and lots of interesting food options that are as interesting as the beer. Place has been packed both times we visited so you may want a reservation before you go.

Joe M.

Yelp
First visit here. Love the beer and taproom in Darien so was very happy to see them open in Naperville. Also thrilled that Naperville is cultivating the true independent restaurant spirit here. Our server, Josh was outstanding. Our party of four had three small plates, the bratwurst and schwarma. Food was great, all was very original and great flavors. The vibe on the inside is a little industrial but was spot on. We had a great time, good food and good drinks. Hoping to get back soon. Overall, recommend grabbing some small bite plates, a couple of beers and enjoy this new place. I'm pretty stingy with stars but this place is pretty close to getting the fifth.

Ammar A.

Yelp
The food here is amazing! Highly recommend the smash burger and the west coast wizard ipa! Fun vibe and our server josh g was an absolute vibe magnet! We will definitely be back!

William A.

Yelp
Our group loved everything about this place. It was such a fantastic mix of food, drinks, and creativity. We will all be back with more friends and family!
