Miso Sushi

The price is on the high side but average which would be okay to me if they gave a better amount of rice. Too little rice is my main gripe. Also the spicy tuna tasted unusual in my opinion. The lack of rice did not help.

As a tourist, we didn’t plan to eat here for dinner but we found ourselves in the rain and desperate for dinner. We ducked into the little unassuming spot and were happy with the quality of the fish. No frills but reasonably priced. The miso soup was perfect in rainy weather.

This place is quiet and beautiful. Staff are absolutely amazing, and the food is beyond any rating I can think of. I highly recommend the dancing dragon roll. Overall 10000/10!

Great quick and simple sushi spot, fresh sushi and cheap lunch/dinner sets. Dinner set is an amazing deal with 3 rolls, soup and appetizer. A few tables inside, fast service run by a sweet family.

The saddest sushi I’ve ever eaten. This place is super small. The bathroom is in the kitchen and there was a man in the kitchen sleeping on a beach chair with his shoes off.

I’m only rating this a two because the waitress was nice. If you are interested in eating tough sushi and hard rice, and mind you lots of rice, then this is the place for you! Maybe the salmon sashimi was ok, but overall, probably one of the worst sushi experiences I’ve had in my life (taste wise). Perhaps that’s why it’s moderately affordable? This is why people don’t like sushi because of places like these. If you’re a first timer don’t do it.

Ordered the Any 3 Rolls dinner special, which include soup or salad, appetizer, and 3 sushi rolls. Ordered the miso soup and seaweed salad appetizer and both were well flavored. The seaweed salad was extremely fresh. The rolls were really clean and simple (ordered the salmon, spicy tuna, and eel/avacado). Was impressed with both the quality of the fish and the portion size in the sushi rolls. Service and ambience was efficient, clean and comfortable. Great place for sushi!

The most affordable takeout sushi spot in the EV :) I always get the crunchy shrimp roll (the crunch is always fresh, never soggy) miso soup, and gyoza. My fav takeout spot!

Good sushi, very reasonable dinner special $24 for choose- 3 rolls, 1 app, soup or salad. watch out their spicy mayo is S-P-I-C-Y! Good service, small inside not too much space as far as seating goes but definitely a good spot.

Cozy little spot I stopped in for during big rain storm. The service was super fast, staff was very kind, and the lunch special deal actually could not be beat. It was $15 for so much food I couldn't even finish all of it, and it was all super yummy. The menu has something for everyone. Would totallly come back

Great sushi at a stunningly affordable price! My family and I stumbled upon this tiny restaurant on a whim and were ready to pass when we saw it was empty except for 1 duo. The yelp reviews were what persuaded us to give it a try. The restaurant is extremely tiny and can probably only seat 12 people at a time. Their menu doesn't really deviate from your average run of the mill sushi restaurant. We were all debating different sushi roll combos and happened to notice the Roll Party Tray where you can get 12 rolls for $58.50. Surprisingly, this price includes even ebi tempura and spider rolls, which are usually pricier. You're allowed to pick any regular and hand rolls. We ordered a mix of Spicy Crunch Salmon, Kani Crunch, Soft Shell Crab, Salmon Avocado, Tuna Avocado, Eel Avocado, Spicy Crunchy Tuna, Shrimp Tempura, and Dancing Eel rolls. Most of the rolls were excellent. The fish was fresh and the rolls were adequately proportioned with rice, fish, and avocado/cucumber. I especially loved the Salmon Avocado, and the Spicy Crunchy Tuna, and Crunchy Salmon rolls. I would have been happy eating those alone. I didn't really like the Eel Avocado. It tasted mainly of avocado and had only a tiny sliver of eel. Service was great and the rolls were nicely presented. I think this is a great option if you're looking for no frills sushi and would recommend getting the raw rolls over anything cooked. I did overhear that they take reservations although they weren't too busy on a weekend night.

I don't usually leave reviews but I found a bug and a hair in my noodles. Order at your own risk. Sushi was fine though and a good deal.

Very small restaurant but a nice find. You get three rolls, soup or salad and an appetizer for $24 and you can choose from many different options. Would go again if I'm in the area.

I've been there twice now and I've been impressed both times. The place is really clean and the food is very good. There's clearly a lot of love and thought that goes into everything. Really delicious, well-presented food with none of the usual tricks for stretching ingredients out more. It was not at all busy either of the times I went, and our rolls came out quite quickly for how many we ordered. Highly recommend!

I'm so glad I found this place! We've had 2 orders of consistently great sushi. Their rolls are so large and fresh - way more salmon in the salmon rolls than you'd find at other places. And their lunch specials are fantastic! Would definitely recommend.

I popped into this sushi place for takeout, placed my order, and waited what seemed like 5 minutes before it came out - constructed and packaged perfectly. The sushi was fresh and delicious.

Was in the mood for some sushi and while I was scoping around Yelp, the lunch specials here caught my eye and so I decided to check it out! Located in East Village, this is a cute and quaint sushi spot on 6th St. After looking at the menu, I went for a take out order and my food came out within 10 minutes. I ended up ordering the "any three roll" lunch special with tuna avocado, shrimp tempura, and salmon as my rolls. There was also an option for soup or salad and I went for the salad! From the looks of the roll, they definitely don't skimp out on the protein with a generous amount in all three of my rolls. As for taste, I would say it's on par with how sushi should taste. Considering the rolls I got, the two fish ones weren't packed with much flavor on their own but paired with soy sauce, it does the trick. It wasn't anything extraordinary but it definitely satisfied the craving! Overall, a solid choice if you're craving sushi and want it for a reasonable price without being low tier. Definitely check out the lunch specials because they have some good deals!

This place is probably new so doesn't have any reviews yet but it is just so good! We got the sashimi deluxe and the dinner special and we honestly could not believe how large the sashimi pieces were and how much food we ended up getting honestly. The place is cozy and the people working are really friendly and polite. I would definitely recommend the sashimi deluxe for the insanely large pieces of fish you get (you get 16 pieces for 20 bucks thats insane!)

Im surprised by all the good reviews. While you can get a lot of food for your money I don't think the quality of sushi was something I could stomach. I just didn't enjoy it and ended up throwing a lot of it out.

Gave me food poisoning. Fish was disgusting. Horrible quality and smelled so fishy. Dont know how this place is still open.

Great value and good sushi from this new spot on 6th street. I ordered a sushi dinner for pick up and it came with an appetizer and a salad or soup. Barely could finish the entire meal!

Rotten sashimi, specifically the tuna and whatever that white fish is. The smell was horrendous and could not be consumed.

I like this place for delivery, its been pretty good! Ive been ordering from here the last few times, its pretty consistent, even at later hours around 9pm. For takeout, recommend

Hate writing these but I figured I'd save yall the time and money. Stale sushi, fishy smell and taste. Miso soup smelled like straight yeast -- just not good tbh. I never write these but yea that was trash.

This was my go to sushi spot in my neighborhood. One day I decided to pop in with my mother and everything was going great until when I got to my last roll. The waitress came over to remove the plate as I was eating? I was really confused over the situation because it wasn't even busy. My mother and I were the only ones there. Then when she came to hand us the bill she tosses the tray on our table?? This action had even caused the pen to fall off. I don't know why her energy towards us changed or what occurred in the time for her to become extremely rude. All I know is that I will not be coming here again. I want to be able to go out and take my time to enjoy my food.

Hidden sushi gem in East village. If you are a sushi lover you'll enjoy this place a lot. Tried 7 different rolls and each of them is tastefully done. It has become hard to find a good sushi place with affordable price in Manhattan. Very glad that I found this place. Will be my go to place for sushi from now on.

Great quality, fresh sushi! The rolls are a good size. And they have super affordable lunch and dinner specials (3 rolls for $14 at lunch and 3 rolls + appetizer for $23 for dinner). For those prices, my expectations weren't too high but the quality is consistently excellent. Highly recommend!

Was taken here for my birthday by a friend; she got the sesame-crusted tuna in yuzu garlic sauce and a White Dragon special roll, I got fried squid, and the three-roll special with pork gyoza appetizers. We spent the first 15 minutes literally not saying anything except "Mmmmm" as we nommed what was being put in front of us. The squid was crunchy and had a lovely katsu-style dipping sauce, the gyoza were laced with lots of garlic and fresh greens, not like any I've ever tasted. The sushi was fresh, stuffed with big chunky pieces of fish, and for free dessert we got cut-up oranges and yuzu hard candies. We both agreed it was the best sushi we have had in a long time. And the people were really nice! We will definitely go back.

I am honestly saying that this place is the absolute worst Sushi Place I have been to in my lifetime, and I first got hooked on Sushi here in NYC in the 1970's!! The thing that got me is, I ordered scallop sushi, if they didn't have it i just should've been told, whatever it is they gave me in my take out order was definitely not scallop, at all, there is no way they can argue that point. I noticed that it was like a few pieces all wrapped up in the seaweed, which is not how scallop sushi has ever been served to me, it had no taste at all!! Scallops have a certain taste to them, I have no idea what they are passing on as scallops. After that the tuna roll had pieces of tuna in it that were turning brown, again not a good sign, the rest of the sushi I was really afraid to eat, but out of the nine pieces I did eat six. I will tell you honestly, I thought I've been to some bad Sushi Restaurants before, but this one absolutely wins First Prize !!
