I love love love this place for sushi in my first visit to the keys. Katherine she was really friendly and I feel very well . The quality is the sushi is amazing and big rolls. Definitely I will come back is I go again to the Keys. My friend and I we have a really good time in this place Me gustó mucho el sushi de este lugar. Muy generoso el tamaño. El baño limpio z The only this is the parking. Is street parking and is a busy street so is a plant to do it just going by foot . Is a lot history around the building I love the key and the vibe

On January 20, 2025, we had a wonderful dining experience at Misohappy Sushi and Thai! My family and I ordered the Boat for 3, along with a few additional items, and everything we tried was absolutely delicious. The sushi was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Each roll was thoughtfully prepared with great attention to detail, and the portion size was generous—plenty for sharing and sampling a variety of options. The Boat for 3 was a standout, both in presentation and taste, offering a great assortment of sushi and sashimi that satisfied all our cravings. Every bite tasted fresh, clean, and perfectly balanced. We also tried a couple of their Thai dishes, and those were equally impressive—flavorful, well-seasoned, and comforting. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, and the service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Whether you're craving sushi, Thai, or a bit of both, Misohappy hits the mark with quality and consistency. We left full and happy—true to the name!

Definitely Indefinite

Google
This place needs to be recognized, one of the best restaurants in the Keys. The staff was super amazing, attentive, and friendly. The gyzoa, rangoon were great appetizers. Crispy duck and fried rice are award winners. Do yourself a favor and eat here.

1st timers. Very good food, service and reasonable pricing. Avocado Bomb was off the charts. Lobster sushi roll was even better. Generous portions! Looking forward to our next visit.

Google
Sushi was so fresh. Service was great. It was our first time visiting Key West. Very happy we listened to the locals and stopped.

Google
The staff are all so nice. They remembered us when we came back 2 days later. They loved giving recommendations, and were more than accommodating both times. If you like sushi, this is the place.

Google
The food was delicious. It had a warm feeling. My husband and the owner had a nice conversation considering he's a chef. The staff members work together as a team. I would highly recommend.

Yelp
Had to come back for a second visit because Misohappy was just that good! We had dinner the first night then returned for lunch the following day. The food was excellent, and the service was incredibly friendly and personable. The menu has more options than you could ever try in one and two trips, but I highly recommend the Sashimi Deluxe and the Lord of the Ring (a special at the time). Evenings can be busy, but lunchtime was easy to get a seat. There is outside seating as well and is good for people watching. Can't wait to return to Key West and enjoy more.

Yelp
Loved everything we tried! Very friendly people...the sashimi and the fried rice were wonderful! Looking forward to trying the noodles soon! Will definitely be back

Yelp
Happy my friend and I stopped in here before heading back home. Large portion. We shared the Misohappy roll and crab rangoons and it was perfect. Both dishes were seriously... amazing!! Small and cozy spot with maybe 12 tables, some outside and a seating area upstairs. Service was quick and friendly! I would absolutely make it back here next visit. THANK YOU FOR MAKING MISOHAPPPPPPY!

Yelp
Super friendly staff! That's what stands out the most about Misohappy. I popped in for a quick roll and miso soup, upon the recommendation of a friend who said this was the best sushi in Key West. Nothing fancy, but cozy, with solid rolls. I had the Ocean Roll and was pleasantly surprised by the size when it came out! One roll was more than enough to feed me, which is great, when you're paying $20+ per roll. They also feature Thai food, with dishes such as panang curry, fried rice, and pad see ew. Definitely a cute spot, right in the middle of the town!

Yelp
Usually Yelp does not steer me wrong, but in this case, I was so disappointed with my choice to eat here. For our last night in Key West, we were looking for a sushi joint and based on the reviews stopped in here. We were seated upstairs in a cute little area overlooking the sushi chefs and got to enjoy the wonderful decor. The server was friendly and efficient. We started with lychee martinis that did not taste like they had any alcohol in them at all. We moved onto the Crab Rangoon which was served way too hot scalding our mouths. I ordered the Love Key West roll which the server said they are known for but the lobster tempura came out looking more like chicken nuggets instead of the lightly fried tempura I have come to know from other sushi restaurants I have eaten at. My two companions also said that their sushi rolls did not taste good so overall it was a disappointing meal and for almost $200 definitely not worth it. The only good thing was the sake in a bottle that was tasty. Because of the server this review is earning two stars - otherwise I would've rated it one.

Yelp
We stopped into Misohappy for lunch one day and boy were we blown away. The service was super friendly and quick. The food was fresh and they have ginormous portions! This said a single roll could actually fill up a couple of people, so keep that in mind when ordering!! We tried the Yellowtail Jalapeno and the avocado bomb appetizers. And ordered spicy tuna, playboy rolls and the drunken noodles... This was way too much food, but everything was delicious! We will be back!

Yelp
I'm not even being biased, but Asian food is just better! Decently priced restaurants close early here, leaving Misohappy to be one of the pretty reasonably priced stores still open. Unfortunately, the menu I came for was seasonal, back in October. The service was impeccable, best I had on the island. The waiter saw to us to the end, all smiles and super efficient. The water refill also went crazy! My Penang Curry with Seasonal Fish Fillet ($25.95) was so comforting. I asked for mild, but it still had a pretty kick to it. Vegetables were ok, but the fish! For the price, you are getting huge pieces! They also gave a huge mussel in their Tom Yum Soup. Their Key Lime Pie ($10.95) is a house special, made with a Thai twist. Not a fan, it reminded me of a not as salty egg yolk of a mooncake.

Yelp
The food servings are great enough for 2 to 3 People. The prices are very reasonable and compatible for the area. The food is so spectacular and delicious! We went two nights in a row. The staff is so friendly and super fast. I recommend this place ten times over! This is definitely our favorite place in Key West for amazing Asian food and food in general. The ambiance is also great! Cool vibes, cool art! Feels local, small in size but big in flavor, portions and hospitality. We are from New York, Pennsylvania, Miami and Los Angeles and we would pick this restaurant again and again. Best thai food and drinks i have had anywhere, even compared to big city living.

Kevin T.

Yelp
Food was excellent. Sushi was fresh and tasty. Crab ragoons out of this world. Must get. Thai key lime pie and sticky rice finishing the night.

Yelp
Came here to update my review. Place is still 5 stars, the crispy duck Panang curry is INCREDIBLE. Every single bite was better than the last. The Red Dragon Roll was really good too. Waiter was attentive with refilling our waters and making sure we were taken care of. Plenty of bar seating inside.

Yelp
Ate here on our visit to key West on 7/11. The sushi was decent but our server was the best! He even convinced to do the shot of the day. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for good sushi in key West.

Yelp
Nice spot tucked just off of Duval street. We loved the crab rangoons, they looked homemade as opposed to the standard ones you get at a lot of other places. My pad see ew was a little off as the noodles weren't your typical flat squishy ones they were thinner and firmer similar to pad thai style. Maybe I should have asked for some spice because it felt a little too sweet. My husband liked his stir fry. This place was a nice change of pace from all of the standard american fare around KW.

Yelp
Great sushi place. The fish was so fresh. We got tuna salmon escolar and hamachu.

Yelp
After a full day in Key West, my husband and I were looking for a bite to round out our culinary experience for the day and had already eaten at a couple of spots we knew we enjoyed from previous trips. Looking to try a new place, we found Misohappy and decided sushi would be a good way to wrap up a solid seafood experience. We decided to share a couple of items and went with the Crab Rangoon appetizer and Crunchy Munchy specialty roll. The Crab Rangoon came out really fresh and piping hot. The crust was perfectly fried to a have a nice crispy texture and hadn't retained a lot of oil. They were generously stuffed with the crab mixture. The sweet chili sauce served with the dish provided a perfect balance to the crab mixture. My only complaint with this item was the amount of black pepper in the crab mixture. It was a little too much for my personal taste, and seemed to be the prominent flavor in some bites. The Crunchy Munchy Roll was tasty with a lot of different flavors and textures to make it interesting. It tasted fresh and had a good rice to filling ratio. It was a good balance of sweet and spicy with both mango and jalapeño in the center of the roll. I'm not a huge fan of significantly spicy items, but I can manage the spice level from that pepper. The other flavors prevented it from being overpowering. This is a roll that is torched, and the slight char on each piece just adds even more to the flavor. Other than the black pepper in the rangoon, the only minor complaint was that service seemed a little rushed. Because we shared, we cleared the main plates each dish came on, but still wanted the sauce for the rangoons. It left me with a partially eaten crab rangoon with no sauce to dip it in because the staff grabbed it up before I knew what was happening and could ask them to leave it. Again, a minor complaint that still warrants a 4 star from me because food was worth it.

Yelp
Delicious Food, quaint atmosphere, and quick service late at night, yes that's a winner for us!! Arrived at 10pm-they were on the short list of restaurants open until 11pm so they were a great option as we were wanting Thai or Asian cuisine. We started with the edamame and fried calamari. The calamari had a very light batter which my daughter has now ranked as one of her top ever. She gets fried calamari at just about every restaurant and always rates them so this was a clear winner. On to the main courses, shrimp basil stir fry and tofu cashew nut for the family. On a last minute decision after reading the menu close to ten times lol out popped the grilled whole squid. One of my absolute favorite that dishes that I get every time I find it on a menu. Grateful I found it on the 10th read. All these dishes were very flavorful with just the right amount of heat. We left nothing behind. I am still kicking myself for not getting the whole fried snapper red curry. Table behind us ordered it and I couldn't stop thinking about it. Pleased with my decision but still kinda regretting it. Next time Key West, next time!

Yelp
We came in on a busy night without a reservation. They were amazing and sat us fast. Great service and delicious food. The crunchy munchy roll and the gorilla roll was amazing. The spring rolls were fresh.

Yelp
Highly recommend. Great restaurant. Good location. They found us a table pretty quickly - but hard not to ignore there was a constant steady line of people coming in and looking for a table. I could tell there were lots of locals here. The staff is incredibly attentive and go out of their way with recommendations. The Food was BEYOND delicious. We ordered 2 different rolls. We had the shrimp pad Thai, and the basil stir fry Duck which was our favorite. And of course - Thai donuts.

Yelp
We came here for dinner on Saturday night, they have 2 different settings, one kinda like a sushi bar and another more like a restaurant, we preferred the second option. The food came out quickly but I gotta say, the quality is lower when you compare to Miami and the prices are higher. Otoro was pretty average and definitely not worth the price of $25. Their pad see ew noodles were overcooked and very bland. The ocean roll had more rice than fish in it.

Yelp
Great value, great tasting and fast service. We always enjoy our meal here. Authentic, a must try!

Yelp
I came here on a suggestion from a couple I had met while in key west.. such an amazing suggestion. It is a small but cozy place. The thai iced tea was just sweet enough. The chicken pad thai I wanted Thai hot At first it wasn't. My server, I wish I had learned her name, asked if it was ok. I told her it was not thai hot She gladly took it back to make it spicier. Although still not thai hot, it had a pleasant heat to it. I genuinely like my thai food spicy. I don't like to get the pepper wheel. When I add spice it is to prove a point, when the chef adds heat she/ he does it while still holding the great flavor. I do believe I genuinely surprised them with the amount of heat I can do. Lol The piece of resistance was the stir fried crispy duck with basil. Oh my god!!! I have my favorite place where I live in va. If this place was in va. I would definitely have a hard time picking which place I would go to. So glad to have received this suggestion. Definitely a place to hit up when in key west!!!!

Yelp
Last night in the Keys and we were glad we stopped by to eat here. Thai cuisine connected to a Noodle Soup restaurant so we got to try two restaurants in one. 5 Stars - Service - our server was engaging and friendly and was aware when we our drinks were low. Other staff members were attentive with the quick meal service and picking up our empty plates or trash due to the small two seater table. 4 Stars - Ambiance. Limited seating on The 1st floor but has a 2nd floor. Can get really crowded quickly and loud. 4 Stars - Food We ordered the Love Key West Bowl - main ingredient is the local source Lobster tail. The broth was coconut cream based so a little bit sweet. Ramen was chewy, al dente'. Added hot chili oil and lime to satisfy our tasting profile. Lobster Pad Thai - Star of the show was a whole tail lobster which was perfectly cooked and the chewy noodles absorbed the Tamarind and Peanut sauce which made it wonderfully yummy! Added Thai spice and fresh lime to enhance the seasoning. Items missing the fresh Thai Basil, Cilantro and Bean Sprouts. 2 Stars on Shrimp Summer Rolls - totally disappointed with the two freshly made Summer rolls especially being charged $12.95 for Basically a Veggie roll with One shrimp per roll. Didn't even take a picture of it but should have just to show all the veggies and noodles in it. Great if you are a vegetarian. But at $12.95? Bummer.

Yelp
Soooo good. The sushi rolls (Misohappy Roll & one other I can't remember the name of) & the panag curry -- I got the seafood & the hubbs got the lobster -- Both DELICIOUS & the portions were great. Super prompt service & very friendly! We would recommend to anyone to hit that sushi Thai craving!

Yelp
What this restaurant did to me should be illegal. Hopefully by me writing this review someone will not be scammed like I was by this place. I came in just wanting a quick small quick bite to eat as I was making my way downtown Key West. The menu advertises a side of fried rice for $6.00 .... I ordered a side of fried rice , with a water so I can just get a quick bite and leave with an ice water. My bill comes and its over 23.00 for that 6.00 side of friend rice. Total scam!
google avatar

Cristi B.

Yelp
The tuna Loco was amazing. Honestly, there are five of us and everything we ordered was phenomenal. Pineapple fried rice with shrimp. pad Thai was amazing. Tuna nachos Honestly, honestly, their food here is quality. You cannot go wrong. !!!
google avatar

Yelp
Food was good! Had the California roll which is the basic roll you get anywhere. Had the Thai summer rolls and eh the sauce could be better. Roll was loaded with veggies. Service was great tho! Real fast and attentive staff! We ate and got back out in the heat.

Yelp
We were visiting Key West and we noticed this cute sign. We returned the next day and we were SO happy we did. From the appetizers of calamari and dumplings (gyoza), to the fresh contents of the California Roll, so good. We had entrees of Crab fried rice, pad tia and my husband had some Lad No which he really enjoyed. The food has quality ingredients, was served quickly and the staff are very friendly. We will be back on our next visit for sure.

Yelp
Well, this place is appropriately named, as indeed "Me so happy!" when I left. By far my favorite meal in Key West and the very best service we had all weekend. The food was amazing and while I was leary of the fried avocado, it totally worked, especially with the bright and fresh seaweed salad. We sat outside and enjoyed the evening, despite being out on the busy sidewalk; it only added to the ambiance of Key West. People watching and a fantastic dining experience. 5 experience!
google avatar

Joseph S.

Yelp
Went recently on a busy weekend, and they were not too busy. They had the best customer service and amazing prices. Definitely recommend the fried ragoon and the sushi! For $6 you get a whole big bowl of fried rice.
google avatar

Lindsay K.

Yelp
I had green curry with beef and I shared a bento box with my grandmother. The sushi tasted really fresh and the whole bento box was delicious. The curry was good too and it was so filling I got full so fast. The whole restaurant is a bit cramped but what can you do it's a pretty dense city. The upstairs area was really cute though and our server was nice and kinda cheeky idk. I'd go back for sure I really liked it and the menu was so large and intimidating but everything was pretty good.
google avatar

Nancy A.

Yelp
Late night sushi perfection! We got into town late and were so happy to find this still open, We ordered the large chef's choice plate and it was definitely the best choice! We forgot all the day's stress after eating this wonderful sushi and drinking sake! Can't wait to go back next time we're in key west!
google avatar

Corie A.

Yelp
We had the sweetest waitress with short blonde hair, she was very attentive, and recommended great rolls. Probably the freshest and best tasting sushi we've ever had. They are very generous with their fish servings topped on the rolls.
google avatar

David D.

Yelp
Came for dinner and was not disappointed. Service was great and recommended the dishes we had. Food was fresh and delicious. We came in not too hungry but ended up eating everything. I highly recommend- Me So Happy with this restaurant

Jasmine M. O.

Yelp
The food, service & value for what you pay for had my family and I come back two nights in a row during our key west vacation! We tried the Panang curry with crispy duck (INCREDIBLE), the khao soi with chicken (also amazing), both hot and cold Sake options, and the best appetizer ever- the avocado bomb. Such a great selection of various foods in an eclectic, cozy setting!

T V.

Yelp
Very good food, the seafood is super fresh! We had the grill squid, lobster noodle, and duck. They are also so good. Friendly staff for sure

Yelp
What a fun and friendly restaurant! Parking can be difficult as it is a bit congested in the area, but I was lucky to find a spot out in front, where they had outdoor seating (which it was humid in the Key West) so that's a nice option for anyone looking for that outside air. I went inside and was greeted with a welcoming smile as I noticed the place was crowded, lively, and busy. They asked if I wanted the sushi bar and I happily accepted. Since I was in a rush to drive back to Miami, I figured this would be a quick dinner. They have an extensive menu so picking out what their star dishes would be proved to be a task. I ended up with the Phen's Famous Crab Rangoon, which if it's "famous" you gotta try it, along with a sushi deluxe and coconut key lime pie. The rangoon came out and then I understood why it's famous: crispy and flavorful as you can tasty the creamy crab with each bite. They give you a nice amount and with the sweet sauce, you keep going back for more even if it's hot! I recommend this appetizer for sure! Soon the sushi deluxe, 16 pieces of sushi cut by the sushi chef. It was great trying the tuna, salmon, hamachi, and white fish, but at the very end, I found a bone in a salmon. I pointed it out to someone, this lady acknowledged it and knew it wasn't a good sign, but they didn't do anything more than to let the chef know there was a bone. This is where my one star was deducted. It's considered a poor reflection on the sushi chef as they are supposed to not have bone in their fish cuts. I would not recommend the sushi deluxe. Finally the dessert. I wanted to make sure I had room for it! It was a sweet treat since it was key lime pie with coconut milk drizzled over it. Creamy and it has a lovely consistency. The taste is spot on to what it is. I recommend sharing this with others as it is pretty rich and sweet. The service was quick and friendly! They didn't rush me out, if anything I wanted to get out fast since I had a 3-4 hour drive, but it was the perfect amount of time. The interior decor reminds of a forest and the Mekong River rather than the Key West. I love the Southeast Asian roots and the fusion with serving Thai and Japanese foods. I would visit if I was in the area again and try the Thai foods next time!

Michael C.

Yelp
We are snowbirds. Back in Key West for about 6 weeks. We have hit about 10 restaurants. Our late lunch at Misohappy was the best food we have had since returning! My wife had a ahi tuna bowl that was absolutely delicious. I had sushi and sashimi. Just delicious. It was a kind of slow time but the waiter was the most attentive I've had in a very long time. 6 stars if it were possible.

Brett W.

Yelp
Great food! Great service! We were hesitant to do Thai in Key West, but were pleasantly surprised. The food was fantastic! We ordered pad Thai and panang curry. They were both delicious! The heat scale is right on what you would expect from a Thai restaurant. I normally go straight to Thai hot and it is certainly HOT! Love it! The service was great. The gentleman was very attentive, had a great attitude and was hilarious. The Thai lime pie was interesting and delicious! Wesohappy 10/10
google avatar

Irene S.

Yelp
Unbelievable dining experience! Panang Curry with crispy duck and Tuna Loco roll were both amazing! Service was quick and on point. Highly recommended if you are in the mood for Thai food and/or sushi.
google avatar

Yelp
Fabulous!! Easy reservation by phone for a large party 2 days prior. Call them, do not leave online at website. The rolls are huge, fresh, original. Easily made space for kids and a high chair. Friendly staff. Memorable
google avatar

Jen S.

Yelp
An absolute delight. A crowded Saturday PM we were the idiots who didn't make a reservation for dinner. The hostess worked hard to get the 2 of us in, and boy were we grateful she did! Food was great: a spiny lobster tempura roll and the crab Rangoon were our absolute faves. So sad I didn't snap a pic....we absolutely will be back!

Katerina K.

Yelp
This place is bomb and super delicious. Not expensive at all, the prices are reasonable for the quality of the dishes you get. I ordered the Thai with shrimps and lobster and I strongly recommended this dish. The waitress is very nice and friendly.
google avatar

Marisol F.

Yelp
This little section of Southard Street has a few spots to get some good food, coffee and late night eats (after drinking) but on this trip we came to get a bite at Kojin but it wasn't there (closed and relocated) and now we have MisoHappy. I was bummed at first but I looked over their sushi menu and was like "lets do it". So glad I did, because it was delicious. I should mention it is more costly than most sushi places I visit but I had to know if the prices were worth it. We ended up ordering 5 rolls sushi rolls and they were all amazing (Mexican, Spider, Tuna, Dragon and Smoky)... the presentation was so nice in a boat. It was so good that the very next night, we went out to dinner then went barhopping and instead of joining my husband at his favorite place for a late night snack, I returned for another sushi roll (repeat of the mexican roll).
google avatar

Yelp
We were in dire need of a sushi date night. Ning was absolutely the sweetest and very helpful and attentive. The food is always consistently delicious. Great portions and service.
google avatar

Tommy Z.

Yelp
Wonderful sushi and thai spot. High-quality fish. Highly recommended if you're in Key West. The yellow tail, tuna, salmon, ama ebi, and uni were all delicious. The tuna taco, lovers roll, and grilled octopus were all delicious, too! And a great selection of cold sake! We enjoyed our dinner. Might go again tonight.
google avatar

Kelli S.

Yelp
Out of this world delicious. Best meal I had on vacation by far and I still dream about this restaurant. 10/10
google avatar

Phil A.

Yelp
Service was excellent and super friendly. The sushi was not what I was expecting as the salmon roll was a little too crunchy and we chose not to finish those rolls.
google avatar

Arisha S.

Yelp
best food I had in key west, the crunchy munchy roll was soo good and the fried rice was full of flavor. to top it off, we had the best waiter ever. Hidden gem!
google avatar

James F.

Yelp
I was in Key West for only one night and I'm absolutely thrilled that I picked this place to eat. The best sushi, crab Rangoon and chicken Pad Thai. 10/10 for everything. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town.
google avatar

Kirsten W.

Yelp
The service here was amazing! It's a cute little hole in the wall and we sat upstairs feeling cozy and quaint. There were 2 servers that consistently checked on us and the sushi I ordered was great. I tried some of the other dishes our friends ordered and their food was stellar too. We will definitely be back!
