My Japanese friend who accompanied us told us that this is one of the must-try foods in Nagoya. We came here for dinner, and there was already a line of people. Japanese people are patient.
We lined up, and a staff member gave us the menu to look at. We ordered their Normal set, which includes a pork cutlet, miso soup, pickled lotus roots, unlimited water/tea, and unlimited rice for 1310 yen.
Our orders were taken in advance, and when it was our turn in line, we were asked if we were okay sitting at the counter since there were no available tables. We were fine with it, so we sat at the counter.
The sauce for the pork cutlet was poured by the staff in front of us, which added a bit of showmanship. The food was great, one of the best pork cutlets I've tried. I even managed to finish two cups of rice.
After finishing our meal, we took our order paper to the counter outside to pay using their automatic machine. Overall, the food was great. If you are a tourist in Nagoya, this restaurant is a must-try.
