Good Korean BBQ, did have to ask for lettuce though. We went for an early lunch on a weekend from Perry, GA. We were the only ones there for lunch, one note...automatic 18% service fee. It does state it on the menu. Will not give extra just because it was added to the bill. Would have given more...

From the exterior. This place truly needs a makeover. And I almost didn't not go in. But I am so happy I did... 3 restarants in 1. Hibachi, Dine in and Gogi. Great for date night .. The atmosphere is really sexy and the wall of wines. I can't say enough.. just go. You will not be disappointed 😌

Google
Table of one I believe The place is very nice very distinguish. You can feel yourself stepping into a different part of McDonough. The issue that I find with this restaurant is with their menu items when it comes to Japanese grill they are very simple. I got Two big bowls of salad poorly slice pears kimchi was water down not one of the sauce could be savedIf you wanna get full this is the place because with all you can eat they’ll bring you a lot of meat, but it doesn’t mean that the items are gonna be good steak has no flavor worse slicing technique I have seen on a piece of meat. They don’t slice the meat They chop it up like tacos. Shrimp was the only one I enjoyed but when it comes to that one and steak, you only get that one ☝️ time but still called all you can eat The hostesses instead of explaining the different styles of food they had she proceeded to describe them when I asked about the Japanese grill she said is that the one where you cook it yourself. They have a lot of work to do, but I believe this could be a good place. I will come back one time in the future.

Google
We are so happy Miss Gogi has opened a second location right here in Henry County! Miss Cleo has made sure our experience is stellar every week we’ve come. The marinated meats are balanced and unbelievably well cut portions. The sides are evolving, fresh and classic. The entire experience is a lesson in true hospitality and the experience of another culture without having to travel north. Reasonably affordable but with quality like this, I really wouldn’t care. My new favorite spot and as I look around at the crowded, Tuesday night dining room, I’m not alone.

Google
We stopped in for a late late lunch on a Monday and had the dining area to ourselves. Needless to say service was excellent as were our meals of beef bulgogi and marinated pork shoulder. Sides & sauces were both very flavorful. I would say, compared to similar kbbq, it was a bit pricey.

Google
This place four stars because it to almost 20 minutes to get our lunch special. Lunch open until 2:30. Tuesday no one here. We order Bibimbap and Beef Bulgogi. My meal came out with soup kimchi pickle Dicon pickle radish and pickled jalapeño and I really enjoyed great portion size everything taste fresh and authentic. One thing I didn’t away is 15% tip added it to my lunch check. I don’t think it’s legal add Tim Maddox is out notifying the customer and it was only party of two I wish I can tip more but I didn’t want to at that point.

Google
This was our first time trying Korean BBQ where we get to prepare our meal for ourselves. We brought another couple along so it was a new experience for us all. Let me start with this - it was a cool experience. I think my preference is for someone else to prepare my food for me, as they hold the accountability for the seasoning. . . and their experience means it will taste consistent every time. We ordered the Combo Couple for $69.99 and we were most pleased with the amount of meats we got. There was an assortment of beef, chicken & pork. It came with 2 salad options, fried rice (they prepared it), a sweet corn dish, and mixed vegetables. We didn't like the spicy salad, but the salad with ginger dressing was delicious! We had to prepare the mixed veggies & the sweet corn & cheese dish on the grill, and they were also very tasty. The rice was great too! Less than great were the tiny pickled sides like kimchee or others. Normally, I love items like these, but they were just ok. Nothing grand. Now for the meats - there was plenty, and we had fun cooking them. The only challenge was seasoning them up properly. We couldn't seem to get the thin brisket to tate like anything. But the marinated meats turned out well with a little salt and/or pepper added. Overall, the food experience was fun & exciting. The customer service experience left a lot to be desired. Our wait person spoke too fast, seemed frustrated when we asked questions, dropped the food off with us, gave little to no direction/ instructions and then disappeared for the rest of the meal. When we needed more cooking utensils, vegetables, or something, we had to wave over another waitperson to assist us. I was disappointed in their service experience most, especially since they added on 18% to your bill automatically. Pay us to bring food out that you cook for yourself! Ha! The hilarity of it all! I

Google
It was really good , the server was kind , we enjoyed the time here for our dinner. The kids enjoyed the food show, and he was very friendly with them.

Yelp
Stopped here because I had a taste for hibachi! The service was phenomenal and the ambiance was nice, beautiful decor. I placed 2 to orders, one was salmon, shrimp with veggies and fried rice soooo good and my son wanted steak and chicken, he enjoyed it! First time stopping through, will not be my last! Process were great and they have their own nice large free parking lot!

Yelp
best experience ever. Great food, excellent service. I'm a regular customer and I always bring a friend or my parents.

Yelp
Ladies and Gentlemen, I experience Korean food on a regular in Washington DC, Baltimore and NYC. I am not going to online my disappointing experience. I would recommend you take your business elsewhere for this type of price and very poor service. I am an American who eats and speaks Korean The staff pretend they didn't understand me yet I heard them at the bar speaking Korean not aware of the fact I understood what they were saying. Rudeness and subpar food won't be back.
google avatar

Michele D.

Yelp
You get a lot of food, but you cook it yourself. It was good and the experience was fun to cook yourself. It is similar to hibachi, but you do it. Their Ramen was very good. My biggest issue is the cost. They have "combos" that you can take things home and then another selection that you get charged a fee of you want to take things home.
google avatar

Sydney C.

Yelp
My family and I enjoy going here. It is so delicious and I love how you have the option to try varieties of foods. Customer service is always good. They give me exactly what I asked for and are very kind. I have only eaten at the Korean barbecue side which includes a little bit of self-serving. The drinks are delicious. It is my favorite Korean barbecue spot. I will forever come there whenever I'm in town.

Yelp
If I could give this place zero stars I would. This was our second time having the Korean BBQ here and the ENTIRE experience from start to finish was horrible!! The staff was rude to my son when he asked them where the bathroom was the point when I heard them yelling at him from the table and asked what was wrong I initially made him apologize and then the staff continued to talk to him aggressive. I let the lady know that at the end of the day he is a kid being silly, and you can't shout at people children for no reason. I asked my waiter to speak to manager but manager never came. So then the waiter keeps asking if we need anything we asked for drink refills each time he asked us.....THREE times and he never brought them. Then he brings the check and asks again. I ask for the drinks to go.....he still never brings them yet brings the check back with automatic gratuity for 2 people!! I really feel like after the interaction with my son and the rude bartender she told him not to bring us anything else or we were cheated this way because we are black. Either way I will never go back and I still paid the $115 check!

Yelp
Driving North from Florida, we decided to stop for some dinner and even though this wasn't the original place we were going to, I was so glad that we did. What an amazing experience! We have been to Japanese hot pot's where you cook your own soup but Korean BBQ is a whole different way of life! LOL!! You have the opportunity to cook your own food on a flat top grill that is built into the table that you are at. There are different price ranges for what you want to do & eat so ask questions of you aren't certain on which way to go with your meal. The place is beautiful and perfect for all sorts of occasions... first & regular dates, family gatherings and hanging with friends. Loved the time spent with my family before leaving Georgia... what a great time!

Yelp
We arrived and it was busy, fine. I didn't like that the all you can eat was so restricted. For $32.99 for each person, we should be able to choose more than one meat each. I'm not saying let each person order 50 meats at the same time but cmon lol. We waited a long time to be able to reorder and got tired of waiting after a while. I ordered gyoza after finding out it was included in the price and it took forever to get there. My partner was ready to go so I asked if we could get to-go boxes for the food that was already cooked and on our plate... and the late gyoza. Again we would've stayed longer but it felt like a hassle to ask for anything. Our server told us they charge $8 for every takeaway box??? I asked if they would rather throw away the food then let us take it and he said yes bc ppl take advantage. I said look at our plates, we clearly haven't had that much and don't plan on ordering more, so to me, that doesn't make any sense. I'm from NYC and have been to plenty of Korean bbq spots there and all over the U.S. and I have NEVER heard this before. Intentional food waste is one of my biggest pet peeves so I won't be returning here. I think if something is cooked and touched a customer's table, they should be able to take it away. They paid for it! That made the $32.99 per person seem really weird, paired with the mediocre service. Also, the automatic gratuity for a party of 2 was also a turn off. Again, I'm from NYC, a major city with a higher cost of living than McDonough, no shade, and there's no automatic gratuity unless you are in a club after hours, or in a party 6+. The meat was good but no shade the all you can eat wasn't worth it. I used to be a server, I usually don't make long reviews like this but this was the first date night we had since moving to McDonough. Instead of going into Atlanta for dinner, we chose to support a local business. Bad move... say no to intentional food waste people are starving!

Yelp
Place Upon arrival, this place had a light smell of bad mop water. I came because of the raving reviews and I'm hardly ever on this side of town. This place doesn't have the open fire like Iron Age, it's more like a hibachi grill. Food The meats appeared to be of a nice quality. I wouldn't call it too of the line, but it wasn't trash! They were pretty good portions. The sides were pretty yummy. I loved the dressing on the salad. I forgot what it was called. Service You can pretty much assume any place that charges gratuity on parties of three, will be trash! And this was My issue. My babies (kids i borrowed) ordered sprite, and never got refills. Not because they didn't want them, but because our sweet waitress just didn't give a damn. When we wanted more meat, sprite, water we literally had to stare off towards where she stood. She seems so sad to be at work. I get people have bad days, and i could have accepted her not being chatty. But that wasn't the case, she didn't come around and do her job, but walked away with an almost $20 tip. She did muster the strength to bring more rice and salad. But when asked about the different meats, she just wasn't helpful. I ordered a to go plate of fried rice. I should have opened it before i left. There were maybe 3 carrots in the rice. Hot mess!

Yelp
Food was good our chef was great 1 star due to being over charged for gratuity. Was told 15% gratuity for party over 6 all though we arrived separately and paid separately and weren't alone at the table. Management was rude and server was rude.
google avatar

Jordan W.

Yelp
Terrible food. My shrimp tasted foul. Everything was previously frozen and bland. Bypass this place and get a burger. Expensive too.

Yelp
Went in tonight for dinner prior to a movie. Hostess says Hibachi has no wait so we'd be eating and out before 9pm. At 8:45pm WE WERE STILL WAITING. We received a salad and broth. Our appetizers were finished and we just sat waiting. Another pair showed up and the received their Salas and broth a good 30 min after we had already been waiting. At 8:50 the Grill cook arrives and the assistant manager asks of he can cook fast. At this point I had already decided to leave. If they say no wait there is a 35 minute wait for the grill to heat up and they say nothing about this. I will never be back. Horrible customer service and poor communication. Save yourself a wasted trip and just go to K-Pop across the street for better service and food.
google avatar

Floretta L.

Yelp
I love the food an our waiter was amazing knew everything about meat and food. I'm telling everyone please check them out an they have covid-19 seating so it's really safe an clean an environment is super friendly and fun.
google avatar

Odetta C.

Yelp
The food is bland and it's over price! The banchan is not a good; 3 things. We had to ask for lettuce and salt and pepper for everything. The bulgogi is mediocre and lacking flavor! 18% for what!!! It was 4 of us... 18% gratitude is a joke! The servings are skimpy! NO FLAVOR! That corn cheese concoction was gross; tasted and smelled spoiled!

AJ J.

Yelp
Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had at any restaurant. Do not come!! Not worth it!!! The workers make up rules as they go. They charge a arm n leg for skimpy food. Literally ruined my family's dinner experience. Do not recommend
google avatar

Yelp
Usually I drive to Duluth for kbbq ! I was so excited when one was coming down south so I don't have to commute a hour to get great food ! The young server girl was sweet ! But the food was not as great their beef brisket was not fresh it look like the one u get from h mart ! The corn and cheese was totally different from other kbbq restaurant the kimchi was good ! Must get unlimited cause if u get the feed 2 or more people trays u will be upset cause the portions are very small and beware of their automatically tip party of 1 or more cause u dont have a say in how u can tip depending on how good your service is! They just add it to the bill
google avatar

Marci L.

Yelp
Never going back. Our host/server fella wasn't helpful in exposing anything at all, mocked us for not being familiar with this type of dining (Korean BBQ experience), and told me WAY too late that if I don't cook the pork belly enough my stomach will ache all night long- thanks a F*kn lot. So I'm totally expecting that I'm going to be sick tonight. The icing on the cake- the night shift must've started because the next table that came in got a female server that was so informative!! So it just showed what our visit "could've been" We'll definitely try this style of dining again, just not here.

Ming H.

Yelp
When you scan the menu QR code the prices aren't clear, the price aren't accurate, and a lot of their assets are dirty.
google avatar

Abigail P.

Yelp
Service was good; food was good! We had the all you can eat option. Reasonably priced, and meats were paired with a good amount of sides: veggies, cheese corn, rice, sauces etc. We sat on the Korean BBQ side, which had a 5 min wait time. The Japanese side was about an hour and a half wait on a Sat night, so I'd recommend getting reservations if you have a larger party. Also, it can get pretty stuffy in there due to the open burner/grill. Although the food smells great as it's cooking, there is minimal cross ventilation which made it a bit hard to breath at times.

Christina M.

Yelp
Food was super greasy and made my families stomach hurt. Noodles should not be that greasy. We are gonna go elsewhere.
google avatar

Jose O.

Yelp
BEST PLEACE IN THE WHOLE DOWNSOUTH!!! ROBIN the server is damn sexy. He was our server in miss Gogi and he explained all the spices and sauces and the meats. You guys should definitely check it out. Oh and they also have some really good sushi. I had the spicy tuna and the golden bridge.

Nicole Q.

Yelp
we came here for lunch, there is empty in the dinning area. Only we two persons, This is my first time have Korea BBQ without any service , no body help to cook the meats. however, the bill charged us 15% service fee.when we were asking the staff, he told us "yes , you need to do this by yourself "
google avatar

Tiffiny C.

Yelp
Finally a Korean BBQ on the south side. One of a kind experience! Lots of different types of meats to choose from. Great food & service! You will not leave hungry Korean lettuce Dressing is amazing. Great pick for all the fellow Keto ppl.

Jennifer H.

Yelp
This establishment is connected to Yuki sushi. If you're expecting it like the Miss Golgi in Buford Hwy it is ABSOLUTELY NOT. The service is terrible and the meats were too fatty for my liking. I would choose another place other than this if you're looking for a good kbbq place, trust me. On top of that there is a service charge added on top of the bill. $32.00 for all you can eat and 18% service charge for a part of four. They do not even do that at regular bbq places in Duluth. Save your time and money.

Danielle H.

Yelp
Was in the area and decided on going here. Went in around 7/8pm on a Friday night for Korean bbq because I am currently obsessed and there was no wait. We were seated and promptly greeted by our server Julissa who was fantastic. We did the couples selection. The food was decent. Thw portion was a very nice size. The salads were really good, the quality of meat was just okay. The banchan was bleh. Just okay. If you're in the area then it's a go but nothing spectacular.

Henry A.

Yelp
Food was cold when it arrived after reheat it was still lukewarm. Order the beef it was very tough and lacked flavor. I won't be back

Jay L.

Yelp
When we first checked in they told us it's 15 min wait. Checked multiple times after 15 min. They keep saying another 10 or 15 min. Finally got a call after 60 min. We decided to go to Kpop instead. Much better service there.
google avatar

Kseniia A.

Yelp
Lunch open until 2:30. Tuesday no one here. We order Bibimbap and Beef Bulgogi. Good service. Clean.

Yelp
I tried to order food from this location just now. I was told that they could not take my order. No clear reason was given and he place was fully staffed. ‍

Likedra P.

Yelp
The food was ok. The togo is limited though. Be mindful of the tip when splitting the bill I had 3 and my friend was by herself we were both charged as party of 4 or more.
google avatar

Autum P.

Yelp
This was a very confusing spot for first timers. My family got the All You Can Eat ( AYCE) and we were not explained anything unless we asked specific questions. There was 5 of us and the servings seemed to be for 1-2 people. The meat was bland and there were no other sides but one round of veggies and one round of rice. Giving them 3 stars because we were served last minute.
google avatar

Nas S.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I were in the mood for Korean food but had no desire to drive alllll the way up north, thankfully he remembered this place! We decided to give it a try and we will definitely be returning! The quality and quantity of the meat was very impressive. All the banchan was quite delicious (my boyfriend really liked the tofu). Our server, Asia, was very attentive to us and very friendly. Her customer service is really what sold me on coming back. Great place, delicious food AND amazing customer service. Thanks Asia!
google avatar

Christina D.

Yelp
The server was great, very sweet and attentive. The food however was completely flavorless unless you consider spicey a flavor. Kimchi was bland, but spicey somehow. Didnt not even have beef bulgogi, but instead are serving chicken bulgogi. Which was bland, like all the rest of the meat. Fried rice was the worst. Very disappointing, and tasted only mildly of undercooked onions.
google avatar

Andrea B.

Yelp
It was a last minute decision for my God Daughters 8th birthday. She loved it and they did respect social distancing. The server was nice!
google avatar

Kathryn W.

Yelp
Best Korean BBQ to me. I've tried many others, but this place is the most authentic to me! Love the salads and side dishes and the staff are always nice and eager to help. I don't really like the chairs because my kids kind of fall out of them at times. But that's a mommy problem, not them! Great food and prices aren't too bad. Definitely worth a try.
google avatar

Lynn D.

Yelp
On a non busy, weekday evening, our family of 9 showed up for dinner. There were two plates and two sets of silverware on the table. Ordered a drink from the bar and had to ask twice for it after 20 minutes. It was chaotic. Then we each ordered all you could eat meats and they brought out the cheapest meats first to fill you up on the cheap stuff first. If you order the $30pp all you can eat, specify you wants the chicken, beef and then all the cheap greasy meats. Extremely disappointed and so over the top expensive. Never again.
google avatar

Michael B. H.

Yelp
WARNING! Do NOT eat here!! The owners of this place are greedy scammers. I paid for the All you can Eat Korean BBQ. They limit the amount of steak you can order to 1 serving but don't tell you that until you try and order steak again. Then they force you to get the cheap meats after. When they bring you the cheap meats(pork, chicken etc) they like it so high on the plate that you cannot possibly eat it all. Then, at the end of the meal, the meat you haven't eaten because they gave you too large of a portion, they CHARGE YOU EXTRA for it at the end of the meal!!! Instead of paying $30 for my meal, I was charged $50 because of this utter BS!! Oh, btw ... they auto charge you gratuity at this @$"! Hole no matter how small your party is and no matter how terrible the Svc is. Just another way these greedy +#^~ers can take as much money from you as possible. DO NOT GO HERE unless you enjoy throwing money away and getting sour tasting food and terrible service.
google avatar

Glenice F.

Yelp
I have been to various Korean BBQ restaurants such as Iron Age, Breakers and 9292 up north and I would say that Miss Gogi lived up to my expectations. Although they didn't have spicy rice cakes and egg soufflés like up north, they had ramen and gyoza to make up for it. Plus, they were very accommodating of 1st timers. I would definitely recommend to get the AYCE!
google avatar

Amina D.

Yelp
This Korean barbecue is great! Large selection of meats staff is nice and the food is good
google avatar

Jacquelynn C.

Yelp
New Korean BBQ restaurant in McDonough! I'm so glad they opened one here. Our family got the AYCE option and loved it. We had brisket, pork belly, beef bulgogi, vegetables and side dishes. The grills are huge and the service is great. I am hoping that they will have more marinated meat options in the future. We will be back!
google avatar

Krista J.

Yelp
The food was pretty good. The service was not. A female manger came out to help the servers and she was so unfriendly and not helpful at all. Had to wait to long for meat to be brought out. Had to ask for lettuce a couple times. Sauces ran out. Will try again. Hopefully they were just having a bad day.

Main K.

Yelp
terrible service I was told to hold for 10 mins and then the short slim girl told me I could not get a table and that would be fine because I understand how things could get confusing but she was very rude !!

J T.

Yelp
I didn't use the grill but the restaurant cooked Pork Shoulder was very good and flavorful. I also tried the Spicy Pork Belly and Spicy Ramen. The Pork Shoulder was my favorite.
google avatar

Justin M.

Yelp
This restaurant is great. Previously we would have to drive to Atlanta for this type of food. I have been maybe 3-4 times since they have opened. Such a great addition to the food scene in Henry County.
google avatar

Michael O.

Yelp
My wife and I went for lunch on a weekday. There wasn't anyone present to seat us, and once we were seated, the service was a little slow. In addition, the menu is a bit hard to understand. Once our waitress is explained the menu, we opted for the all you can eat lunch ($19.99 a person). What that entailed was a nice variety of Korean sides and 2 large salads. Then, 2 hot sides (corn and eggs) were served on the hibachi at our seat, and we chose beef bulgogi and chicken which was cooked on the hibachi in front of us as well. It was a bit confusing at first as to who was going to cook the meat, but it became evident we were expected to cook our own (which was actually fun) along with the mixed vegetables grilled along with the meat. We also had a selection of very good dipping sauces along with sides of white rice. One thing I particularly enjoyed was using the egg, vegetables, rice and spicy pepper to sauce to whip up a small dish of Bi Bim Bap. All in all, the food was excellent with the exception of the spicy pork belly which was fatty and had small portions still attached to small pieces of bone. We stopped here as travelers passing through, but if I were a local, I would definitely go back. So, here's my recommendation. There's some minor issues with service, and there's a bit of a learning curve you need to go through to order and eat, but you'll figure all that out during the first visit. Do so and enjoy the food and have fun cooking right at your seat!

Shelby R.

Yelp
Fantastic Korean BBQ! We enjoyed the AYCE menu, and we chose brisket, chicken bulgogi, garlic pork belly, shrimp and New York steak. We came hungry and left happy. Try a soju while you're there! Our server was polite and accommodating of my ignorance, as I had never been to Korean BBQ before (but am no stranger to good Asian food. The ONLY weird thing is the way the restaurant is setup at the hostess station, it shares the station and bar with the Japanese restaurant in the same building.

Adam G.

Yelp
Food was good but unfortunately the customer service was lacking. Part of the reason we visit these restaurants is for the experience. Still tipped the waiter 15%. Hopefully he's new and just starting out. Seriously doubt if I'll go back any time soon. If I do, I hope to have a better experience.
google avatar

Amber L.

Yelp
I've been twice now and absolutely loved it!! The last time we went the manager waited on us and even let us try their new item! They cook it for you but if you would prefer to cook it yourself just let them know. They are very fast at getting you what you need side and drink wise. We are planning on going back tomorrow night and I can't wait!
