Epic! Summer of the best BBQ I've ever had! Super fresh, unique dishes, rivals NOLA Cajun food for sure. Gumbo is insane, fried chicken, waffles, catfish and ribs all amazing, including most unique bloody Mary in the world, spoiler, comes with ribs on top! Great fast service too. Expensive though and busy, touristy. I'll be back for sure!

Cool spot. GREAT food. The Shrimp and Sausage Gumbo was amazing. The Chicken Thighs and Waffles were fantastic. The Mesquite Beef Brisket was wonderful. My two choices for sides was collard greens and Mesquite Smoke Beans. It was our first time here, and we were blown away with the quality and flavor of their food.

Friendly .. comfortable environment. Food was so good! We tried the shrimp, fried catfish, a small gumbo, and crossroad brisket bowl, as well as the Bloody Mary with the rib and cucumber mule. Fire!!! Thanks to Jenifer for hospitality and good vibe. Enjoyed ourselves.

I love this place. Great cocktails. Amazing cornbread. Their pulled pork and ribs are tender and flavorful. I buy and keep both of their sauces in my house. The fried chicken thighs are crispy and well seasoned on the outside with a tender and juicy interior. If you get them with the waffles, they are very light and airy. Fries are good, but the Mac and cheese and mesquite beans are so well done. Shrimp appetizer has the same cornmeal crust with a dipping sauce. Catfish also gets the cornmeal crust. Back to the cornbread. It looks like it has been made in grannies cast iron. You don't need butter.

I’m not sure where to begin… I came with high hopes. Ordered, half slab plate; mac n cheese/fries/cornbread. Tried cucumber lime mule and catfish strips. Honestly, if I would just gotten a couple of appetizers, I would have been happy. The ribs do not come with any sauce, there is a spicy or mild on the table. There were jalapeños in the Mac n cheese and cornbread, I am not a fan of spicy foods. The ribs were ok but not great. But for $23 you get plenty. I should not have ordered a cocktail as I do not normally drink, was only able to take a few sips. Maybe it was too strong? Not sure. The catfish was good. The best part was the service to be honest. Great customer service. I would give them another try but try something else perhaps, chicken or Brisket?

We went on a Thursday night about an hour before they closed. The way our server treated us you wouldn't of known it. She was awesome. She consistently checked on our needs. The food and drinks were served quickly. The food was great. The Catfish was well seasoned and the ribs were very tender. Can't wait to go again when I am back home.

I like that a bar can deliver really good food. I found this place to have high ratings and wanted to try it out. I wasn't mistaken. I preferred their bar seating but had service like any restaurant. The bartenders always greeted any new people and promptly asked if they were feeling drinks or food. A group of rowdy young people came in ruining the Lunch hour, but the bartenders quickly accommodated and apologized to other customers to other seats. Honestly I'm impressed with their professionalism and courtesy. I ordered the pulled pork with a side of Mac and cheese and cornbread. It was all delicious. Lucky for me they had a rack of ketchup, mild BBQ sauce and spicy BBQ sauce on hand. I knew I'd need the mild as I don't like spicy but when the bartender took it away(after asking of course) I had to use the spicy. And you know what, the spice/sweet BBQ flavour combo was just right. So do not be afraid to have that. I even enjoyed dipping my fries into it as well! The pulled pork was very tender and stringy. The fries were not very impressive but rather generic fries. Still, cannot complain. The Mac and cheese and cornbread were good too. It's nice to have a main entree and three sides. Be sure you're clear on what you're ordering as the combos are and plates are very similar. The place was very nice. It gave you all the dark and drifty bar vibes but again with great restaurant service. There was no overbearing music and one can just come in and enjoy themselves, maybe watch some TV too. I definitely recommend this place, especially since its situated in a fun part of Oceanside.

Amazing experience. I was jonesing for chicken and "Miss Kim" did not disappoint. My fried chicken with slaw, mac&cheese , and Jalapeno corn bread was (and I NEVER say this) all great food. The chicken was moist and fried and the right kinda spices. Their slaw has a nice flavor and not bland like most. The corn bread was the perfect mix of corny-jalapinio goodness. And I will claim that the Mac & cheese is the best I've had in the oside area...seriously...great cheesy/savory flavor. My buddy's were equally impressed with the pulled pork sammys and the fries... nice crispy tasty snacks (no need to ask them to be extra cooked). Thank you X10
