Dubai: The Layover Hub That’s Truly Worth Sticking Around For

"For a late night: "Miss Lily's is a favorite for a boogie, with let-your-hair-down music and incredible jerk chicken.”"

20 Best Bars in Dubai

"This New York-born Caribbean concept is tucked away in a warehouse-like space on the fifth floor of the Sheraton. It's both dim and exploding with color (the walls are plastered with artwork inspired by Jamaican vinyl records). Blame it on its downtown New York cool factor, but Miss Lily's is one of the hottest, most scene-y spots in Dubai right now." - Dylan Essertier

This was just a fun experience. We were visiting from Houston. The vibe was lit! The music was on point. We were a group of 7 and we ordered everything we could sample. The food was Delicious and the owner or co owner gifted us free desert- coconut cake. I never liked coconut cake, but I think I liked because the flakes were toasted and the cake wasn't overly sweet. We enjoyed everything. I hope they're still there when I revisit next year. It was a good night out and convenient since we were staying at the hotel.

I’m on the fence about this place. The music was great and the crowd had amazing energy. Food was tasty and reasonably priced, but the alcohol was definitely on the expensive side. For 10 people, our total bill came to about AED 9000. On top of that, they added a hidden 10% tip (around AED 900), which felt unreasonable. The dance floor was way too crowded, we struggle in and out to get to the bathroom. I’d be hesitant to return despite the good atmosphere.

We were there for Ladies’ Night, and Miss Lily’s understood the assignment. The service? Attentive and fun. The cocktails? Absolutely lethal in the best way possible. I started with the Rum Punch, and it hit like a summer breeze with a secret agenda. Sweet, strong, and smooth just like the night. The place was alive with laughter, conversation, and music that made it impossible to sit still. Reggae, dancehall, afrobeats the DJ knew exactly what he was doing. At one point we were up dancing between courses, shoes off, cocktails in hand, no cares in the world. Miss Lily’s isn’t just a restaurant it’s a whole vibe. Perfect for a girls’ night out when you want to eat good, drink well, and feel like you’re in the heart of the Caribbean without ever booking a flight🫨

At the first we had welcome really bad from making us seating by the bar while we had a reservation, then a girl in a red custom was a bit too much with no reason, kind rude, when we turn up to the party is when I see things very different, the Dj was really good, some people out there was very friendly and the barman was the top man at the whole night, very polite, respectful and very active on what is doing. I hear many people calling him Mario so I guess is Mario the one who was serving us, as an event manager in the UK I’m very keen to employ people like him, at least a Duty Manager or something to bring you the people into your business. I came all the way from the UK to experience Miss Lily’s so I was expecting a good service. The girl from Philippines she was wonderful with us and the light skin serving our food. I could say 4 members of staff was very good on it. Definitely I will be back because I spent a really good night with the sets that Dj was playing it and I love to dance. Keep it going, the business is worthy.

Hands down the best burger in the COUNTRY … Cooked to perfection. Good music, awesome vibe, and such a cool interior with a retro twist. Just a friendly tip: check your bill to make sure it’s the right one.

I’ve been coming to Miss Lily’s ever since I moved to Dubai — it’s one of my favorite spots. The vibes are always amazing, the DJ is top-tier, and the food? Absolutely incredible. But tonight was truly disappointing. We completely forgot that the set packages are only for ladies, and ended up ordering one for our male friend as well — an honest mistake. Instead of calmly explaining the policy, the waitress approached us with an incredibly rude and dismissive attitude. She almost grabbed the plate from him, even when he said he was happy to pay for it at full price from the regular menu. Her response? A firm and unnecessarily aggressive “No, he can’t have that.” We then asked if he could at least order something else from the menu, and were told — again with attitude — that the kitchen was closed. So what exactly was the intention? To let him sit there without food while the rest of us ate? We had to call the manager just to resolve something that could’ve been handled politely and professionally from the start. Thankfully, the manager sorted it and he was finally able to order, but the way the situation was handled by the staff left a really bad impression. We weren’t asking for anything free. We were paying customers, and it’s frustrating to be treated so disrespectfully. Love this place, but the service tonight didn’t match the experience Miss Lily’s is known for. I hope this can be addressed, because it can and should be 10x better.

What a munch!!! 10/10. Shout out to Nikitha for the fantastic service for my best friend birthday. She’s was so welcoming, kind and accommodating, proper irie, good vibes galore. The whole team are soooo friendly and made sure we had a great time too but definitely Nikitha stood out for us, she made us feel right at home. Again food was 10/10 - proper authentic. We’ll be back for the curry goat next time. Love from your London girlies!
