"Yes, we know some of us won't step foot outside Midtown's rainbowed streets, but this spot in the heart of the edgier East Atlanta Village is worth mixing in. On an average night, Mary's typically has fairly equal representation from every letter of the LGBTQ+ alphabet. Mary's is always a good time with regular events like drag shows, karaoke nights, and RuPaul’s Drag Race watch parties. We dig the ethereal glow cast onto the narrow galley-style bar by lanterns, colored string lights, and light machines that spit out changing patterns onto the floor. When the DJs get going, it feels almost psychedelic here." - Juli Horsford

My husband and I had a spontaneous date night and chose to go to Miss Mary’s for dinner. The atmosphere was welcoming and family friendly. Plenty of space for larger families but also privacy for date nights or smaller families. (There’s a whole other section of seating I did not capture!) The service was great. We were quickly greeted and seated, our waiter was super friendly and helpful, refilled drinks without needing to ask, making sure we had what we needed but never felt interrupted. The food was fantastic. We had fried pickles and loaded fries to start. Both were great, best fried pickles we’ve ever had! My husband ordered the triple burger with baked potatoes and loved it. I chose the American omelette, hash browns and a biscuit and gravy in place of toast (with no extra charge!) also loved it!

Miss Mary’s is starting to be my go to breakfast spot. Service is always friendly, very hometown feel and just an all around good environment. Food comes out hot and fresh and coffee is really good. I love seeing a packed house on a small time restaurant. Check it out you won’t be disappointed

Visited Miss Mary's for breakfast on 7/30/19 with wife, friend and family members... The restaurant is pleasant, clean, basic diner type atmosphere. Our waitress was Casey who was very friendly, knowledgable with the menu and very attentive during our visit and checked up on us multiple times. I had the veggie omelet with sausage, hash browns, sourdough toast, 2 sides of bacon. The omelet was excellent, bacon was cook just right, the sourdough toast tasted like regular bread but was still good. The hash browns were slightly undercooked but still good. Sweet iced tea was just right as far as sweetness level. Everyone else enjoyed there dishes thoroughly. Ate at this restaurant on the recommendation of a friend and I am grateful to her for recommendation. Good food, good service, good prices.... Just what you would expect from a "Mom and Pop" type diner !!!! We will make this restaurant one of our stops whenever we are here in MW Arkansas visiting friends and family. Thank You Casey for taking good care of us also !!!!!

Food was really good and I was pleasantly surprised by the french toast. It tasted of a fresh hot donut, not expected but ultimately delicious. My friend loved her scramble!

Once a quiet country town diner, Miss Mary's finds itself at a crossroads between growing cities. The menu serves a wide variety of foods, including breakfast all day. The wait staff was excellent, and the lunch crowd caused a slight delay, but nothing unexpected. The fries were decent; the Sprite satisfactory. The cheeseburger was tasty with fresh tomato, lettuce, and onion, sans the Miracle Whip. With a party of 8, the tables were a bit tight, but Faith managed well.

I had heard so many good things, and was very disappointed. My mashed potatoes and gravy were cold, my ham steak was tough. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back.

Yelp
Good food for cheap! I've had dinner here for two and spent less than $40! We had great service. I also had breakfast from here to-go and was pleased with it. The only thing is that I wished they gave me a larger amount of hash browns! Other than that, it's a great place for a quick dinner that won't break the bank!

Yelp
We had the chicken fried chicken and the country fried steak. Both were delicious. They do charge $.25 for water. It would be a 5 star otherwise. The service was great! The red velvet cake was yummy.

Yelp
Food is good; but they skimp on quantity. Price isn't bad, but please; can I have more than ten fries with my burger (I'm exaggerating; it was twelve!). Yet overall everything I have eaten there is very good. Just wish the portions were larger to make the value better and fill me up while ai am there.

Yelp
Great food. Sweet diner. Went there for the first time last week and was pleased with the food, choices, and service.

Yelp
Great place for great food, lunch that will last a long hard day of work during the week. Sadly no longer open on Saturdays.

Yelp
Good home-cooked food. I had the patty melt with tots. It was more than enough. Friendly staff. Quick service. Good prices.

Yelp
YUM!!! Hungry? Ready for home cookin'? Want to eat some good food, served fast, with a friendly smile? Well, come on over and eat at Miss Mary's!! Miss Mary makes some AWESOME food! Her specials are the Best (from brisket to chicken fried chicken to roast - 2 choices every day - get'm while they last!! They will be mouth watering goodness!)! But you can't go wrong with breakfast items or hamburger or anything else on the menu!! They even have fake meat sausage, bacon and burgers! Tasty, healthy alternatives! Prices are good and comparable to chains like IH@P or W@ffle H@use. Miss Mary's is a locally owned, one of a kind, home cookin' kind of place! Only downside to this place... They aren't open evenings or Sunday! Such a bummer! They close at 2pm or thereabouts... Wishing for more hours!! So get on over and eat up!

Yelp
Plain and simple is what you get but wonderful service and the food is quick to come out. Ordered the chicken fried steak and it was wonderful along with loaded potatoe salad..the green beans were plain with no real seasoning..a great place to go where the locals go!..will go back again when I am in the area. If you have not gone to try it and you live in NWA, definitely worth your effort.

Yelp
Where the locals go. Good food, good service and good prices. Nothing fancy, just quality food. Always eaten breakfast there but the lunch specials sounded good also.

Yelp
I liked it a lot! A down home family ran cafe, good cooking & good service! I had breakfast, my cousin had lunch with a Blackberry Cobbler. She loved it. Will for sure go back.

Yelp
Good solid breakfast....for lunch. Yep..breakfast anytime. Eggs cooked perfectly, home fries were good. Gravy tasted like it came from a package but was still ok. Very friendly wait-staff and cashier. Will be back.

Yelp
Great home cooking in a quaint setting. Very clean, well managed small business. Chicken fried steak lunch special was awesome served with your choice of two sides - we had mashed potatoes w/gravy and green beans. The green beans were bland, but all else was perfect. They have homemade pie, too. We will return.

Yelp
Miss Mary's is a new restaurant in Gentry. It has been open for about two weeks. Miss Mary's is located in the building which, until just a few months ago, housed the Fleur de Lis Grill. My wife Linda and I stopped in for breakfast this past Saturday. Business was brisk and it seemed to be a mixture of locals and passers-thru as we made our way in at about 8:30 am. Breakfast is served all day here, as well as a nice lunch menu which includes sandwiches such as hamburgers and salads, etc. I ordered two eggs over easy with sausage and hash browns and wheat toast. Linda ordered two blueberry pancakes. The coffee was very smooth and good and there were plenty of friendly wait staff who were constantly offering to top off our cups for us. After a little longer wait than I am used to our meal was delivered to us. As a former restaurant owner I think presentation is important. Our plates certainly passed the eye test. They looked good. The hash browns looked crisp; the eggs, which were sunny side up, were cooked to perfection; and the sausage was just begging someone to take a bite. The toast was buttered and toasted perfectly. Linda's pancakes were enormous so I knew she would be challenged to finish them. After blessing the meal I dug in and I have to say this breakfast was simply terrific! Everything was just great! I would highly recommend the breakfast menu at Miss Mary's and so would Linda. She loved her pancakes and kept offering me a bite, which I had to decline since I was neck deep in my own fine meal. We will definitely be back to try Miss Mary's lunch menu. We hope Miss Mary's becomes a fixture in Gentry as we need a good restaurant that provides great food for a reasonable price.

Yelp
A good place to go for breakfast. I've tried multiple items from the menu and they have all been good. Hearty portions and good service.
