Arriving at 6 a.m. after a 14-hour flight from Manila, and – frankly – just tired of the airport’s lounge offerings, I had skipped breakfast on my flight and was looking to catch up before boarding a flight to DC two hours later. Had not been to Mission Bar & Grill before, but the breakfast menu was spot on.
I ordered a pork sausage breakfast wrap ($22), that came with perfectly prepared home fries (potatoes quartered, crisply browned); that plus a double Bombay Sapphire ($48). The food was freshly prepared, came out in less than 15 minutes, and was for once reasonably sized – not so overly packed that I was going to leave anything on the plate. Sometimes, a decent grill beats the food and drink offerings we’re finding airline and credit card lounges; that was the case here.
