"Even though Mission Dogs closed its physical restaurant in 2022, it’s still slinging its bacon-wrapped hot dogs on a roaming basis courtesy of its carts. Check its Instagram for its schedule and locations." - Nadia Chaudhury

Don’t let your hunger fool you, portions are big! We tried the viet dog (vegetarian) the mac n cheese and the garlic fries. My husband had the Kimchi dog and it looked amazing (he said it was) they have mostly to go but there is a small table to eat outside. They have Mexican drinks and parking is small but it was easy getting in and out.

A great place to do a take out after a few beers or a drink, bacon covered hot dogs with different options of topping. The online menu has more options compared to the restaurant itself, small space outside to sit and dine, but take out is the best option. Great value for money, great taste. Would definitely return for more.

Great dogs, best fries in town! Fries have the right crisp and hold very well! Hot dogs are made to order so expect to wait but we'll worth it!

Absolutely the best gourmet hotdogs in Austin! I was totally blown away by the food here, the hotdogs and garlic fries were both fantastic. The staff are all lovely people as well. I'll definitely be coming back to try the rest of the hotdogs as soon as I can. They even have some delicious vegan options!!

Was running around town with my food partners in crime and Mission Dogs was suggested. Excellent choice. Best hot I've had in Austin. I ordered the Jeepney, bacon-wrapped hotdog with Archara (sweet & sour green papaya slaw) and spicy plantain ketchup. Chains are ok but I prefer to patronize small local venues like Mission Dogs and they serve premium smoked sausage, all beef, from Smokey Demark, family owned and operated in Austin, It's a funky little place, tight dining space up front but there is additional dining space around back. Now that I am residing on the Eastside, they'll be seeing me a bit more often.

Located in the heart of the East side off Cesars Chavez and just a smidge away from downtown Austin. Mission Hot Dogs delivers BIG on flavor and BIG on BACON! If theres a bacon shortage in your area they may be to blame. A local night spot for all the drunkers to stop by and endulge on their child hood favorite. Although these Red Hots are purely for the Adults. Loaded with caramelized onions drizzeled with all the fixins these dogs deliver endless flavors in every bite. Although I did come here for the Dogs I was upstaged by the Mission Fries. If you dont really care to much for hot dogs these fries will keep you coming back for more. Loaded with about a quater pound of bacon cheese wiz carmalized onions jalepenos and oh yes lets not forget about the hand cut fries themselves will put you in a potato coma. It was a pleasure to enjoy these items. If i could give the cook who looked like the owner of this place a hug I would. Great job giving it my first ****4 star review. Thats a lot coming from me I am a tough food critic. This place knocked it out of the park. .

I tried the Vietdog. The bacon was tightly wrapped around the dog and crispy, which i liked; I was worried bacon would be loose and chewy. The veggie cuts in there r sliced long (like veggie spaghetti) which made it easier for staying in the bun while eating. Bun was warm and toasty. U can tell these unique dogs were thoughtfully created and i would revisit to try another!
