On the Grid : Dolores Park

"If there was a hub of the Mission, it would be Dolores Park. While geographically its on the border of the Mission and Castro, it is the social center. The park spans two city blocks and includes tennis courts, basket ball courts, a play ground and the facilities that the majority of people use...the grass. This is the perfect spot to picnic and people watch. This park represents a pretty impressive slice of San Francisco's population and is the perfect place to pass many hours." - Avocados and Coconuts

"People watching park Mission Dolores Park, aka Delores Park, is one of the most popular parks in San Francisco, especially when the sun is out and the mercury is up. On a sunny weekend, you'll be hard pressed to find a patch of green to plant yourself on, but that's what makes Dolores Park so much fun. Yes there is a playground for kids, and basketball and tennis courts, too. But the real sport here is people watching. You'll hear music booming between dog barks; people toss footballs, tightrope walk, and fling their Frisbees. Bodies slathered in oil glisten in the sun; ice cream melts down the arms of laughing children; the whiff of cut grass (and other questionable varieties) linger in the air. The abundant restaurants and markets in the area make make it easy to pack a picnic and fuel your day out. All you need to do is bring a blanket, plop down on a hill where the views reach to downtown, and chill out San Francisco-style. FYI: Dolores Park is named for Miguel Hidalgo, a priest in Dolores, Mexico who urged his countrymen to overthrow their Spanish rulers in 1810, sparking Mexico's battle for independence."

"The recently re-opened Helen Diller Playground is the stuff of children's fantasies. For one, there's a 40-foot long slide, built into a hill, rock climbing walls, sand pits, and a shipwrecked boat; for two, there's a separate zone for the littlest ones, so everyone can run around without fear of collisions. If playground-ing isn't your thing, there's also a soccer field, six tennis courts, and a basketball court. "

The view is one of the best in the city, breathtaking at any time of day and in any weather. Almost the entire skyline can be seen. The park is wonderful, there is so much space to walk or lay in the grass and just relax. Some nice businesses and restaurants in proximity, too. I would recommend taking the Muni J line up to this park, not just because of how direct it is (it runs and stops right next to the park) but also how beautiful it is when seen from the train. Stuff like this can only be found in San Francisco. 5/5.

Google
I visited Mission Dolores Park while I was pet sitting and brought my furry friend along. It’s a big, beautiful park that’s very well kept. All the dogs we met were super friendly and well behaved, which made it a great place for pets to play. The park is right across the street from Mission High School in a very nice and safe area. We had a great time and would definitely come back!

Google
Such a lovely park in the middle of the Castro. There's so much grass, so much sun and shade, and so many people there. There are also public bathrooms. The view of the city is truly stunning from there.

Google
The best vibes park in SF. Outstanding views due to its location on a hill and lots of good food around to grab any type of bite and chill in the sun. The kids playground for all ages is really great addition. Two bathrooms, tennis courts and proximity to public transportation make it to my top 3 SF parks 💚

Google
The infamous Dolores Park. Plenty of free/fun events held here. From Hunky Jesus to Projection Movie nights, there’s plenty to do and see here. Small crowds daily and bigger crowds when the sun breaks out. Grab a nearby burrito and a bottle of wine to enjoy on the grass. Large playground for the kids and an “off leash” area for the dogs.

Google
I visited on a Saturday, and as you can see in the photos, it was quite crowded. The view is beautiful, but due to the number of people, it was very noisy and not the best place to relax and contemplate. There were also many dogs — which seems to be allowed — and a playground area for children.

Google
Mission Dolores Park is a beautiful urban escape with stunning views of the San Francisco skyline. The atmosphere is vibrant yet peaceful, with people lounging, playing, and enjoying the sunshine. A great place for a daytime visit. Bonus—delicious ice cream is available nearby, making it an even sweeter experience. A must-visit spot in SF!

Google
I’m in love with this park! The view, the soft grass, the trees and everything around it! What a beautiful place to be. Just be! I really enjoyed my day there with my lawn chair and my blanket. I #enjoyed it so much and I hope you do too. Take a blanket, some lunch, water and possibly a little something to protect yourself from too much sun because it can get a little hot. But overall it’s perfect ☀️❤️

Yelp
I may be bias living in the mission now for 4 years, but it's the best park in the city. The park's rolling hills create different areas for all kinds of activities. Near the tennis courts, you'll find day drinkers, spike ball games, impromptu DJs, acro yoga, and picnics. The tennis courts are always busy (book early!), and the top-level courts host dance classes and skate hockey practices. Public bathrooms are available in this area too. The children's playground is a hit with toddlers and parents, while the hilltop offers a more relaxed vibe for sunbathing or reading. At the top, benches provide the best views of the city to enjoy over coffee and snap some photos. In the center path, SF skate culture is alive and well as skaters love bombing down the hill, and with so many dogs around, it's a dog lover's paradise. Sunsets here are unbeatable, with the skyline as the perfect backdrop. Plus being so close to Valencia street with tons of food and shopping, it's an unbeatable location. Whether you're here to play, relax, or just enjoy the people-watching, Dolores Park never disappoints.

Yelp
Lovely for a wander about and for good views of the city! Nice for a picnic, too. Part of the park seems to act as a dog park, so do be mindful of your surroundings then (aka watch where you sit). Not everyone tidies up after their pup. The only thing I find somewhat off-putting can be the ability to use the restroom. On my most recent visit, someone was sleeping right across the entrance to the ladies. I ended up going to the nearby cafe and getting a beverage in order to use their restroom. 2024: 62/100

Yelp
Dolores park is a unique place and interesting as someone who is not from the area. Firstly the whole park is a giant hill (which has a great view of the city) and for some reason it's the only place in San Fran that's warm lol there are tons of people walking around selling a lot of different things. I saw girl with crochet plushies, man with cart of drinks, people selling mushrooms... There were some people blowing bubbles and some people playing music from speakers. Most people were just hanging out with friends and enjoying the sunshine. Overall everyone just seemed to be having a really good time. Dolores park is a very fun and special place to visit. I also loved seeing all the dogs running around- there were SO many.

Yelp
Great place for views of the city. Plenty of green area -- great for bringing a blanket and having a picnic. They have a lot of weekend activities during the summer, so beware that they usually attract tons of people (great if that's what you want, not so much if you want space and quiet).

Yelp
LOVE Mission Dolores Park in San Fransisco. Always a must visit while in San Fransisco. This is a great park consisting of tennis & basketball courts, a newly remodeled children's play area , a lot of grass for picnics & a dog friendly grass area..The best part about it is the spectacular views of the city since it is elevated on a hill. Parking can be scarce so taking public transportation is a good idea. Less busy on week days.

Yelp
Was I staring in my own television show opening or was I just at the very top of Dolores Park also known as Mission Dolores Park one of SF's most popular and spacious parks with hills and inclines to match its city. Hard to say... I may have done a twirl with a double thumbs up... Seriously one of the best natural views of the skyline and city of San Francisco with lush greenery, scenery, tennis courts, soccer field, basketball, large palms, playground, pathways, and a seriously impressive mini rainbow bridge (along with others). Dolores is dog friendly, picnic friendly and event friendly as they've been know to host festivals, events and movies in the park here. My friend Dan told me they've done things for pride month here quite a bit in the past and being so close to a train stop (Muni - Metro J) and accessible in many directions to local transit, wide sidewalks and grassy fields makes it a park goer must. My first time here and I definitely took it all in. The incline wasn't too bad throughout the park. Going down (be careful) is always easier than up. The streets surrounding were/are actually more of a felt leg day. Restrooms are pretty decent and there is so much room to spread out and enjoy your day here whether it be a lunch break, stroll, run, hang or just enjoying the great outdoors in city. Parking is street (somewhat limited) if you're driving but you'll most likely get lucky parking a little bit away, less restrictions. I've never seen such a clean Leave No Trace park and aside from the San Francisco treat (Rice-A-Roni) along the bridge (see pics) it seems to stay clean, friendly and welcoming to all. Q Tip: The pics are so amazing here especially of people, postcard worthy! The best time of day seems to be the first half of the day when the sun is out before the fog or wind roll in. Highly recommend grabbing that selfie or person to capture you and your D.P./M.D.P. memories.

Yelp
Me and my girlfriend love coming to Dolores Park on a sunny beautiful day in San Francisco. The atmosphere here is unbeatable as well as the views. We tried coming here as much as possible and taking advantage of the park on sunny days. It was a little bit windy over this past weekend, but we really enjoyed it and we went to grab dinner in the mission which was about 3 to 4 blocks down from Dolores Park

Yelp
Beautiful park in the Mission District with excellent views of the City. There are basketball courts, tennis courts, children's playground, picnic tables, and more. There are two bathroom structures, one on each end North and South. This place gets packed on hot days and nights which is when it is the most fun. Highly recommend hosting a party here for a child, nice park amenities and lots of space on the grass to laze around. You can throw a blanket on the ground with a few friends and have a picnic on the grass. Or great option for date night.
google avatar

Keisha H.

Yelp
This park is definitely good for just casually sitting out on your blanket and enjoying the weather. I've heard it can get pretty crowded but on this day it was relatively chill. There were tons of people with their dogs so it's definitely dog friendly here as well. The dogs aren't required to be on a leash either, so dog owners may enjoy that as well. If you're dog averse you may not be as much of fan. The park is exceptionally clean and has great views. My suggestion would be to go during non park times. Enjoy!

Yelp
Great destination spot in the city for hangs, protests, people/dog watching, and more! Lots of grassy patches to stretch out and picnic. My most recent visit was for a friend's birthday. A surprisingly sunny and warm November day in the city. Parking can be tricky, but I managed to parallel park in a spot along the park's perimeter. Pack some snacks and meet a crew in this quintessentially San Francisco park!
google avatar

Joyce T.

Yelp
One of the popular park in SF which offers spectacular view of the city's sky scrapers and its surrounding. Playground, palm trees, big spread of grassy field, Light rail station and many events are held here weekly. Parking is difficult, very limited street parking and roads are narrow.
google avatar

Yelp
Dolores Park is a beloved gem in the city with a rich history dating back to the late 1800s. Originally a Jewish cemetery, it was transformed into a park and has since been a hub for the city's diverse communities. After undergoing significant renovations, including improved lawns, playgrounds, and restrooms, it's now better than ever. Whether you're picnicking, playing sports, or people-watching, it's the perfect place on a sunny day. Just remember to clean up after yourself so this park stays safe and enjoyable for all!
google avatar

Amanda K.

Yelp
The top of Dolores park has really great views of downtown San Francisco. It's a fairly small park and they did have a pretty extensive children's park inside as well. They have some off leash dog areas and I saw plenty of pups enjoying it! They also have a small bridge painted in rainbow colors that's a cute photo area. I could definitely see myself coming here just to enjoy a day with friends. Overall I think it's worth a quick stop just for the view of the city. If you're in this area you can also check out the golden fire hydrant for an additional quick stop/some city history.
google avatar

Annabelle R.

Yelp
Clean and well-maintained park, a few benches along the border (but no picnic tables on site), a massive playground in the center, spectacular views of the city and surrounding buildings, lovely palm trees, lots of grass for picnicking underneath the cloudy sky, wind blowing, sun shining, dogs running around, people happily going about their day (not many visitors on a Sunday afternoon in February), the area feels generally safe, street parking's challenging but that's not a surprise in this neighborhood.
google avatar

Harlee S.

Yelp
A beautiful spot to enjoy a sunrise or sunset. It's a busy park, but the views are incredible. Definitely bring a blanket if you want to hang here for a while.
google avatar

Maruko X.

Yelp
The Mission Dolores Park is one of San Francisco's most popular parks. Local people come to the park to play, picnic, lounge, walk their dogs, and visitor could enjoy spectacular views of the city's spectacular skyline. I would suggest to wear comfy shoes to walk around as there's quite amount of stairs.
google avatar

John S.

Yelp
Dolores Park is a historic landmark in San Francisco. I enjoy it because instead of being overrun with tourists, its always overrun with locals on the weekend afternoons. People walk around selling weed and pizza. The park is generally clean, but the bathrooms are a bit nasty. If you have kids, try out the playground at this park. Its huge. And it was recently refurbished. If you play tennis, try a match at the Dolores courts. They have six courts and they do fill up, but if you are willing to wait patiently for a bit, one will open up. Parking is difficult, so be sure to take public transport.

Yelp
Whenever we're in SF, my wife and I visit Mission Delores Park. It has a great view of the city when the weather permits. The park is a great place to nap, hangout with your dog, or people watch. A lot of people have picnics and drink at the park - I believe it is encouraged to bring cans not glass to the park if you are drinking. There's plenty of food vendors and people selling mushrooms and weed. The children's playground seems newly renovated and their bathrooms were clean as an attendant was on location all day. The park seems to have something for everyone. My wife and I will keep going and I'd recommend you try it out as well.
google avatar

Ivan B.

Yelp
Very huge park to go to surrounded by houses at San Francisco! It's very convenient for residents to visit here and relax, but also good for everyone. Many people stayed at the grassy areas and do some things. I like how there are palm trees in the area since it makes the park look nicer and much different than a typical park.
google avatar

Courtney O.

Yelp
Solicitation is at an all time high? Fresh margaritas. BAM. Chips. BAM Mmushrooms (the drug- although I'm sure someone was selling some food with mushrooms in it too) BAM. Spam musubis. BAM. Why pack a picnic when you've got people selling everything under the sun whether your MO is to drink, smoke, eat or all of the above. While the solicitation can get a little overwhelming, most people aren't too pushy and will quickly move on if you aren't interested. It came be hard to find the right spot with how popular this park is. On a sunny day, you'll be hard pressed for shade, but there are a sufficient number of trees scattered around to make it not impossible. I appreciate that this park has well kept bathrooms! If you're going to enjoy an afternoon drink, that's a real big plus. The view is incredible and there's a reason this place is so popular!
google avatar

Yelp
Came to this park multiple times. Recent visit was two days ago when people celebrated Pride week here and had Dyke March. A beautiful park. Restroom on both sides of the park.
google avatar

Yelp
I walked on a beautiful warm day is taking me through Dolores Park, up Church Street and into Noe Valley. It was longer, farther and way more hilly than I thought but worth the views and I am enjoying the top rated GF Pizza in SF at Patzi's Pizza. Relaxed in the park and took in the views in this scenic section of SF.
google avatar

Portia W.

Yelp
While very scenic and popular, Delores Park is a very eclectic park where there are a variety of activities going on with a very large variety of people. In one section, there were a group of guys attempting the white claw challenge with their duct taped hands and in another section there were children with their kites. While we taking pictures here in the middle of the park during sunset, a weird woman (most likely on some serious drugs because she had a glass pipe not for the herbal kind in her hand and was rambling about something that was inaudible to us) threw a saucy cold sandwich at us that struck me in the leg. She launched it from a sitting position at a little bit of a distance. I was actually surprised that it hit me. Overall, it's a popular park that is worth visiting but I would be careful of your surroundings and I wouldn't come here at night.
google avatar

Will K.

Yelp
Pretty nice park! Lots of things for kids to do, big open spaces, and terrific views of the city!
google avatar

Norris T.

Yelp
Next to Golden Gate Park, this is my favorite place to people-watch or just enjoy the city skyline views on a sunny day. A hotspot for local city culture, this park is a refuge from the hectic hyper-urban city life for hipsters, techies, seniors, and families enjoying parks grassy fields, or playgrounds. Be careful with your belongings as the homeless and criminal elements also frequent this park, but during the daytime, I personally have had no issues here. This park is also home to many recreational events from music festivals, parades, and gatherings of all kinds of people with shared interests. One day, I hope to explore this park's secrets from the hidden stairs to exploring in search of the entrance to the secret tunnels supposedly hidden here.
google avatar

Yelp
Nothing screams San Francisco like Mission Dolores Park. Just a bunch of peeps lounging out on large grassy fields picnicking and having an amazing time in the city. This park stays busy all year long. If there's not a local event going on, you'll still be able to catch people walking their favorite four legged friends (or just themselves), dancing, engaging in field games and even napping under the sun. And yes, Dolores Park actually gets quite a bit of sunshine. Yep, it has its' days. The park is named after the oldest surviving adobe mission in SF; Mission Dolores. It's only two blocks away from the mission and can be seen from certain parts of the park. There's also a good amount of walking trails and a beautiful flower garden and tree grove right near the entrance. It's located smack dab in the Mission District making it a convenient spot to stop off and enjoy a bit of nature while you're hanging out in the city center. I enjoyed a picnic here a few months ago and the weather was just perfect... well before the sun went down. If you know SF, you know it's usually always cold even when it's warm. I enjoyed some sunshine and live music whilst people, dog, and baby watching. There's a ton of great people watching opportunities here if you're into that sort of thing. I took a short little stroll through a few of the walking trails too which was nice and ironically peaceful even with the other people around. The park is located on a slightly sloping hill which gives it some fantastic city views. There are tons of eateries within walking distance, so even if you don't bring your own homemade picnic, you can still enjoy dinner from many of the local eateries. Golden Gate Park is definitely a lot fancier, but Dolores Park is the perfect SF chill spot that we've all grown to know and love.
google avatar

Michael F.

Yelp
There isn't really much to say about Dolores Park, other than the following: * Bring a blanket of some sort so you can sit on the grass without getting your rear end dirty and/or wet. * This is a great and popular place to hang out with friends and relax. Expect it to be crowded on weekends and/or when it's sunny out. * There are public restrooms available if you need one. * If you enjoy people-watching, this is probably a great place to do that if that's your thing. * You may notice various folks walking around trying to sell you stuff. They're usually not pushy though. That's all, folks! 4 stars
google avatar

Rachel M.

Yelp
I love Dolores Park- it makes me think of diversity, beauty, picnic spots, and one of my favorite ice cream spots, Bi-Rite creamery. Before it became the beautiful public park we see today, the land had a complex history of being initially inhabited by the Ohlone tribe who were displaced by Spanish missionaries, then bought and converted to a Jewish cemetery, then a refugee camp from the huge earthquake in early 1900s, and marketplace for crack during the epidemic. I've come here for afternoon perusals with my ice cream, picnics, movies in the park, Transgender events, people-watching. It's such a huge park with rolling green grassy hills, some picnic tables, benches and a huge children's playground. If you walk along the inclined perimeter of the park, you can see magnificent views of San Francisco's skyscrapers. It's truly beautiful. It also makes me think about everything this land/previous settlers have experienced over the years.
google avatar

Ramona G.

Yelp
Can you believe it? I was born and raised in the Bay Area and I only went to Mission Dolores Park for the first time in January. It was my friend's birthday and we just had an impromptu day in the city. We got some ice cream at Bi-Rite and my friends also got some snacks and drinks to enjoy at the park. Mission Dolores is a good place to have a picnic. We didn't know ahead of time so we didn't bring picnic blankets nor chairs. I did see a person selling picnic blankets in addition to snacks and other refreshments lol. The park is pretty packed, so I suggest going early to snag a spot. The park also has a very strong "herbal" smell just FYI.

Yelp
Great spot to picnic, play, people watch, or catch a nap! Get here not by car when possible, or expect to fair a while to find parking in this busy neighborhood. Came here on a whim during our day of adventure by foot in the city, it was the perfect spot to rest a bit, in fact, we ended up taking a nice nap right on the grass! There were plenty of people of all sorts, from families with small children on the playground, too hipsters day drinking and smoking on the grass! We were lucky to be next to a ground of hipsters with good taste in music. Great place to soak up some sun and that SF vibe!

Yelp
It has now been several years since the big remodel. The park itself is nicer than it used to be, at least when it's empty, but when the weather is vaguely nice, it's still an outright zoo, or at least it used to be before COVID. Things in San Francisco are changing now, so maybe there aren't quite as many tech bros to ruin it with all their garbage (adios, you doddering diddling Twitterbags). Even though they were in many different parks, the social-distancing circles will always remind me of Dolores Park. Dolores Park, in turn, will always remind me of Pam (who's a new mom now), Genevieve M. (who has long been a mom), and Serena Williams (a medium-term mom who sometimes plays tennis at the public courts all Sting-pop-up style). I just don't spend as much time here as I used to. It's partly because I haven't worked in the Mission in a decade, but it's also because Pam long ago moved to the East Coast. Did her Dolores Park tattoo ever come to fruition? I'll have to ask her. And you'd think I'd be at nearby (to me) Alamo Square most often, but the Panhandle still has my heart all these years later, and despite my walks there at least three times a week, it hasn't made a dent in my waistline. So in the pantheon of San Francisco parks, I don't know exactly where Dolores Park currently ranks. Thankfully, I don't really care at the moment. Don't forget about the J-Church stop near the top with arguably* the finest view from any public-transit stop in the US. *Why only arguably? Because I found one in San Diego with a better view. Arguably. (Review upcoming, so follow or friend me, fool!)

Yelp
Great park for off leash dog play. There are always a few dogs out there any time of day in my experience. Lots of room for pups to run long distances.

Yelp
One of my favorite parks to hang out, chill, and people watch! Make sure to pack a blanket, a hat, and snacks! After finding parking I like to go to a liquor store and get ice cream sandwiches, made in San Francisco, called It's-it! TreatYoSelf and try all 4 flavors: vanilla, chocolate, mint, and cappuccino!

Yelp
My kids love this playground's slide Best slide / views in the city and big enough for parents to go down too haha Love the design - lots of obstacles, swings, things to climb Feels safe even in evenings Bathrooms usually decent Lots of puppies to pet We come here during week and have a picnic / play day Parking easy during week

Yelp
Gorgeous lookout over the city. Lovely sense of community throughout the park. Surrounding neighborhood is absolutely amazing #deckenvy. Difficult parking as the surrounding area is residential, but it's worth the effort. Tennis courts and an amazing children's playground make this is a spot for the whole family of all ages. Great spot to pack a dinner or lunch for an amazing view. Pretty crowded on good weather days but it's gorgeous.

Yelp
My old neighborhood park. I saw this park grow in attendance over the years. Used to play here in playground when I was a kid. I use to be on the swings. Now I come here with a bagged lunch with a bottle of an adult beverage. This is a good place to meet up with people and enjoy the day.

Yelp
Very nice park in the city. A lot of people go out and have a picnic or hang out with family and friends. They have some of the best views of the city here.

Yelp
My happy place! I love to come here for a picnic and frequently walk through the park to catch the J train at the top of the hill for a beautiful view of the city skyline.

Yelp
The best place in SF to be during sunset or sunrise. It never fails to amaze me -- such a peaceful spot to reflect or hang out with friends. It's fairly crowded on the days that the sun is shining bright and it's warm but day to day there is plenty of space to sit and read or people watch. Tennis courts also seem more packed on weekends than weekdays from what I've been noticing.

Yelp
Mission Dolores is a park located in the Castro area of San Francisco. It's a place where people go with their dogs, their friends or alone to relax on the grass with a blanket, a good book or drink. You can take a blanket, a tent or a towel and lay out on the grass while taking in the surrounding views or socialize with other guests. From this park you are able to get at least a 180° view of downtown, the bay as well as other well known parts of the city. The park is dog friendly and family friendly with people coming from all over the Bay Area and other places to soak up the sun and enjoy the vibe. The park has public restrooms as well as drinking fountains. You'll often find vendors here selling a number of food and non food items. The park itself is about 3 blocks away from Castro Street itself with a number of small eateries, bars and stores dotting the area. I've come to this park off and on for many years and have enjoyed myself each time. While the city is known to be on the cool side for the most part this park always seems much warmer and it could be due to the amount of direct sunlight the park gets in relation to other areas. Overall it's a park that's worth visiting for the views alone and you may decide to stay awhile longer.

Yelp
I feel like this park epitomizes the culture and vibe of San Francisco so well. People from all walks of life - from the hipsters to the undergrads to the gays, everyone is welcome here. And yes the rumors are true, you can smoke and drink here and not be harassed. In fact, I feel like it's encouraged. I had such a lovely time, enjoying a local stout from the near by brewery shop. For so many years I wanted to do this and I'm so glad I finally did.

Yelp
First time coming to Dolores park on Saturday and it was packed. Spent a while looking for parking, but it is a nice area to chill and has a wonderful view of the city.

Yelp
Nice park with plenty of benches and picnic tables. It's fun to watch the dogs run around and people watch. A lot of people will picnic here and it's a great place to hangout when the weather is good.

Yelp
AMAZING VIEW!!!! Dolores Park has one of the most amazing views of the city. My husband was given a work assignment that required him to stay in Downtown San Francisco for a few weeks and I was lucky enough to be able to go along. One day consisted of riding around downtown San Francisco and eventually ending up at Dolores Park. It was such a beautiful day and the park was full of people. The park is large enough that it doesn't seem crowded even though there are people all around. It's a great park to have a picnic or to just go out, lay under the shade tree, and read a book.

Yelp
The park of so many memories over the many years. Who doesn't Know about Dolores Park? Many apparently. It's located just off Castro in SF, it gets direct sunlight, and has some of the best views of the city. It's a festive place with many things to do year round. There is always something festive going on at the park or in the surrounding area. There are a variety of people and animals that frequent the park on a regular basis year round. Currently due to COVID they have social distancing circles at the lower section to give you and others space to remain safe. You can, eat, sunbathe, workout, have a cold one, fly a kite, or pretty much anything you want here. My only gripe is something that may not be too controllable, but the grass is soggy often and doesn't dry too quickly sometimes. There is never a dull moment here and ways cool people to meet or interact with. Overall, every year, year after year, CHEERS to Dolores Park!
