Visited Mission Street Oyster Bar on a Thursday evening. I was the only customer during dinner service, which was concerning. Positives: Excellent service - server was patient and attentive Happy hour oyster and sangria prices appear reasonable Negatives: Ordered Hawaiian Ahi Tuna ($26.95) - very basic preparation with seared tuna, broiled vegetables, and potato puree Quality doesn't justify the high dinner pricing 4% surcharge for credit card payments The food was adequate but nothing special, especially considering the premium price point. For nearly $27 plus credit card fees which ended up almost $30, I expected more creativity and quality in preparation. While the service was genuinely good, the value proposition for dinner is poor. The empty restaurant during dinner hours may indicate others have reached similar conclusions.

Stopped in for their all day happy hour. We ordered 3 of their “premium” oysters - $3.50 each. We enjoyed the Kumamoto oysters the best, but the other two were tasty and fresh. Service was quick and friendly.

Went for Happy Hour on a Friday. Only two people in there. Had oysters and cocktails. Oyster Rockefeller Amazing!!

First time here and I got one of the lunch specials which was a California Crab Burger that came with a side of clam chowder. A bit pricey but the sandwich was beautifully crafted and delicious. Fresh Dungeness crab topped with lettuce and avocado On a bum. Service was great and atmosphere was nice and relaxing for lunch. Not a fan of oysters but the menu had a nice variety of other dishes as well.

Google
Stopped in to Mission Street Oyster Bar as my wife was on a mission to have oysters. So glad we did! I learned that the husband and wife team, opened the restaurant after working many years in the industry with support from a great organization that I previously volunteered for. What sets this restaurant apart is the warm staff, atmosphere, delicious food (we enjoyed the cioppino, oysters rockerfeller, caesar salad with crab meat and raw oysters of course!). After I learned Viviana was the owner, it made so much sense why she had so much pride in all of the favorites she recommended. Look forward to coming back!

Whenever I visit San Francisco, I'm filled with anticipation to devour some delectable oysters. Among the many varieties from Washington and British Columbia, the kumomotos oysters truly stand out. The local Miyagi oysters, on the other hand, are somewhat average. However, I absolutely love the black mussels since they make up for not having the green lip variety, and they taste fantastic too. The sauce accompanying the seafood is exceptionally flavorful, especially when dipped with bread. We relished every last drop of the broth. The calamari prepared in the Peruvian style provided a unique twist, although the slightly sour taste wasn't quite to my preference. All in all, it was a wonderful lunch experience!

Great deal during their happy hour, and we were also happy with oysters!

Many decades ago, I enjoyed some wonderful meals at the Italian seafood restaurants at Fisherman‘s wharf. It’s a different city now, and I can’t remember the last time I went to a restaurant on that side of town. But I can re-create that last century experience every time I sit down at Mission Street oyster bar. we have to order the scallops every time we see it on the menu, because they’re fabulous and just melt in your mouth. The portions are generous, and of course they have the classic sourdough bread that you have to indulge in for the complete SF seafood restaurant experience. Highly recommend it! Jan - 2022 update The scallops are perfect

Yelp
MY WIFE AND I LOVED THIS PLACE. Located right off mission street. We stopped by on a Saturday for lunch and to our suprise they were empty around 1pm. We felt so lucky to have the resteraunt to ourselves because we were in FOR A TREAT. Service here was AMAZING. The gentlemen who served us was top tier and made some great recommendations. The menu here has a variety of oysters, fish's, other shell fish ect. Great priced here compared to other spots in the city. We orderd a variety of the happy hour premium oysters, a couple rockafelor oysters, and calamari and legit all of our food was SO FRESH. They served our food with some lemon and red vinegar on the side which was a great touch l. Our for experience was 10/10, we were so impressed. Defenitly don't sleep on this place and come here if your looking for a great sea food spot. Worth every penny here. We will defenitly be back soon. Till next time Mission Strest Oystser Bar!

Yelp
Great service, decent happy hour prices, but overpriced dinner entrees that don't deliver on quality. I would suggest to skip dinner, maybe only try the oysters and drinks during happy hour. Stopped by on a Thursday evening and had the place entirely to myself - which was... telling? THE GOOD: - Server was absolutely lovely - patient, attentive, and genuinely nice - Happy hour oyster and sangria prices seem reasonable - Got plenty of attention (being the only customer has its perks) THE MEH: - Hawaiian Ahi Tuna ($26.95 + tax) was basic AF, just seared tuna with broiled broccoli, carrots, and potato puree. Nothing special about it whatsoever. - 4% credit card fee (heads up!) - Dinner pricing is way too high for what you get. Look, I don't mind paying premium prices for premium food, but this ain't it. The tuna was fine, but for ~ $30 it should have been memorable. Instead, it was the kind of dish you'd expect at a casual chain restaurant. Service saves this from being a 1-star review, but I won't be back for dinner.

Yelp
Lovely little stop - Happy Hour all day. Great fresh oysters, tasty wine, clean atmosphere, and quick friendly service. The bathroom amenities were broken. But it was clean.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I have gone to this place four times since we've discovered it, that should tell you how amazing they are! All day happy hour, amazing friendly quick service and quality food! If I can cut to the chase.. the Rockefeller oysters has been our go to!!! We come back for these alone but everything else had been incredible. They top it off with layer of fried cheese and omg.. it is the BEST! The flavor combo is to die for. A must try on the menu!

Yelp
We went at the perfect time - 2pm and we were between rush seatings. The woman that served us guided us through our selection with an experienced hand. She did not overestimate the excellence of the Cioppino. It's a must try and an almost transformative experience. We also had the penne arrabbiata, the clam chowder, which were both excellent. Mahalo and we will definitely return

Yelp
Oysters all day, every day? Say less -- I'm there. If you love seafood and you're not at Mission Street Oyster Bar, what are you even doing? This hidden gem in the Mission might be one of the best-kept secrets for oyster lovers -- and yes, their happy hour pricing on oysters is ALL DAY, EVERY DAY. Cue the confetti and cocktail sauce! I came with a friend and we kicked things off with a dozen fresh oysters, and before we knew it, we were halfway into the rest of the menu. (Okay, maybe not everything, but it definitely felt like a full-on feast.) Here's what we devoured: * Oyster shooters - The perfect way to start. Spicy, tangy, and just the right kick. * Oysters Rockefeller - Baked perfection. Rich, flavorful, and satisfying without being too heavy. * Boston Clam Chowder - Creamy, loaded with clams, and comes in a generous bowl. Comfort food done right. * Steamed shellfish combo - The ultimate treasure chest of mussels, clams, and shrimp. So good, we were digging in like pirates. * Ceviche - Light, citrusy, and refreshing. A perfect contrast to all the warm dishes. Pro tip: If the sun is out, grab a seat on the patio -- it's perfect for people-watching and soaking in that SF weather (on those rare warm days). Parking can be a bit of a mission (pun intended) in the Mission District, so I'd recommend grabbing an Uber or Waymo if you want a hassle-free seafood experience. The vibes are casual, the food is top-tier, and the staff is super friendly. Whether you're on a date, hanging with friends, or just in the mood to slurp your way through the day -- this is your go-to spot. TL;DR: Affordable oysters + a seafood spread to remember + great patio = instant fave. Will 100% be back (probably weekly).

Yelp
Stopped in on a Wednesday for happy hour and it was pretty empty but we were surprised since it ended up being a nice spot!! Happy hour oysters and drinks - wine, sangria and seltzers. Really clean restaurant and bathrooms. The servers were quick and friendly, food tasted great. Leche de Tigre ceviche had a nice kick to it and the fried calamari was a great texture add.

Yelp
Had I stuck to only the oysters, this spot would have been 5 stars but the other dishes were quite expensive and lackluster. They had all day happy hour deals so it's worthwhile to visit at any time. We came in without a reservation and were able to nab a spot. Service was incredibly fast and friendly. Notably there was a surcharge for credit so consider bringing cash. Happy hour oysters were priced at $2.50 each and included Miyagi, Fannyboy, Summerset, Steamboat, and Sanctuary. I found the descriptions on the board to be accurate to the taste of each oyster. Miyagi was my favorite given the light, briny taste. Fannyboy had a smelly aftertaste so it was my least favorite. Summerset was slightly creamy and sweet. Steamboat was the creamiest of the bunch. Sanctuary had the least flavor but it was the meatiest. *Sangria: sweet and paired well with the oysters. Similarly on the happy hour menu for $9. *Clam Chowder: incredibly bland and barely had any clams or potatoes. On the watery side and should have come with bread or crackers. *Ceviche Mixto: the white fish, shrimp and octopus were all tender but there was minimal flavor. We added on taro chips for another $4. The leche de Tigre had mild citrus flavor so the seafood was over powered by the chips. The chips were crispy and earthy but I wouldn't pay extra to not taste the main component. I would return for just the oysters given the variety and quality. However, the other dishes left more to desire in terms of flavors and portion sizes.

Yelp
We came here for some quick bytes of oyster while we waited for a show to start right across the street. The oyster shooter was delicious, it's with a bloody mary mix which is my favorite. I think next time I am going to specify the oyster to put in, the oyster that was in the shooter had a very salty after taste (we think it was the miyagi). The other half open oysters are really good as well. Their service was fast and the ambiance was great. Perfect for a date night or hanging out with friends. Definitely coming back!

Yelp
First time here... Really good seafood spot.. Wasn't crowded for lunch.. Plenty of specials and options on the menu and for lunch time.. Oysters were fresh and tasted good.. I had them raw and order of the fried ones as well... The clam chowder was good, not too thick just right with good flavor... Customers service was good, ambience was nice and chill... I will come back to this place again! Good times and experience.

Yelp
Visited here on a Saturday with reservations during lunch time, but reservations weren't necessarily needed since there was plenty of seating. Note - it is all day oyster happy hour and there are different categories of oysters, with regular oysters being $2.50/half shell and premium being $3.50/half shell. The Kumamoto, shigoku, and Kushi were our faves. We tried the blue point oysters and they were huge and flavorless. The garlic bread is just divine and I would recommend as it pairs well with the clam chowder, steamed shellfish combination broth, or even as a standalone. The clam chowder was also good without being overly fishy in taste. The steamed shellfish combo was also great to have to share and the broth combined with the garlic bread was just chef's kiss. The tomato based broth paired with the steamed shellfish was an exquisite combination. The Peruvian ceviche paired with the taro chips were a nice addition as well. The ceviche seemed fresh and a nice change in texture. Overall, I would recommend this place for your next oyster craving. Like other reviews have noted, other than the oysters, the prices are a bit high. But it is worth it in my books. Note - parking is a little difficult to find in the area, so I'd make sure to leave extra time to find sufficient parking.

T'Arri B.

Yelp
Ambiance isn't great nor does it match the prices. Oyster's were good & fresh. Ordered the ceviche mixto which was just okay & doesn't come with chips. We asked the waiter for chips & he only gave us a few. When we asked for is when we learned we were charged for the first batch. Which was strange. Ceviche always comes with chips. Then waiter told us no restaurant serves chips with ceviche you always have to pay. Which is also not true I've been to ceviche restaurants all around the world & it always comes with chips! Don't recommend . TikTok's & IG post are deceiving.

Yelp
The happy hour oysters were really delicious and had descriptions of each oyster flavor and texture. I was shocked to be presented with such a good deal on the oysters, all day except weekends, the oysters are 2.50 each. I tried two kinds of oysters and they were so delicious and served with two kinds of sauces. The service was amazing and the lady who served us was nice and attentive. The ambiance was perfect for eating oysters inside the restaurant. Overall friendly vibes and would totally recommend.

Yelp
Food was great. I ordered the steamed seafood dish. Lots of clams and mussels and prawns. The broth was very good. Slurped it up with an order of garlic bread. My husband really enjoyed his crab cake appetizer and fish and chips. I personally like more seasoning on the fried fish and less breading in the crab cakes. My husband loved both and that's what matters. Servers were super nice and attentive. Parking was horrible. Good luck finding parking. We had reservations for 6:30pm and it took us an hour to find a spot a half mile away. Area is a bit qwerty, but go with friends for safety. Area and parking had nothing to do with food and servers. We had a great time! Would return!

Yelp
Happy hour (HH) is where it's at! Freshly shucked oysters and a glass of rosé. Sign me up! HH oysters. I have to admit that I enjoyed the HH oysters over the premium (non HH). The HH oysters were more creamy, full, sweet and briny. As opposed to the non HH were tiny and bland. I don't know it just didn't taste briny at all. My only complaint was that my oysters had shards of shell everywhere - merp. I went for the fish and chips because how can you not? That salt and vinegar combo is perfection. I actually was pretty impressed that the fish didn't taste like it was frozen. My friend went for San Francisco's own cioppino - I didn't try it, but it did look bomb. The atmosphere was kinda dry - I feel like this is the first establishment I've been to that didn't have music playing in the background, isn't that weird? I guess not if awkward silence is something you're into. The service was pretty standard and nothing too crazy or stands out that warrants a raving review or dock in points.

Yelp
All day happy hour??? Probably the best place to get your oyster fix without breaking the bank. We tried two of each oyster they had available along with their chowder and sangria. The chowder was okay, a bit too runny for my taste. Definitely worth trying out if you love oysters.
google avatar

Eric B.

Yelp
Oysters and Prosecco! Delicious and not crowded right at 12pm. Service was great as well, a little cold in the restaurant, but ensures the oysters are kept cold!
google avatar

Christina M.

Yelp
I've gone here a couple times and most recent during the October heat wave. The raw oysters were so fresh and tasty despite the swelteringI love that they have a chalkboard with the wide variety of local and nearby state options including a mini taste description of each raw oyster. They have a happy hour witj $ 2.50 per reg oyster, $3.50 for premium. Thats not even the best part. Although the grilled Rockefeller oysters are not on happy hour, they are soooooooo delicious and the closests you're going to get to New Orleans chargrilled oysters like from Drago's in the bay. I haven't found anything remotely close other than doing it at home. Pair the garlic bread with the Rockefeller oysters and a glass of Sangria and be ready to experience a flavor explosion. Don't say I didn't warn you. Dreaming about theses oysters until next time!

Yelp
So I came here for a happy hour oyster special and was not disappointed. At 2.50/ea it was not a bad deal. The service was prompt, the vibe was good, the music was great, & the oysters were great too. The only thing I didn't like was $5 for a can of soda but besides that, all good. This might be my go to spot for oysters now as it's more reasonable than many other places. Recommend trying this!
google avatar

Fleur S.

Yelp
Went for happy hour. Nice selection of oysters on the half shell. 6 oysters for $2.50 or $3.50 depending on the grade of oysters. I tried both. Very fresh and tasty. Wine and beer only. Extremely hot and fresh French fries. Waiter was very attentive and kept my water glass full. Clean place was outdoor seating.

Yelp
We arrived at 6:00 PM on a Saturday. We made a reservation, but upon arriving, the server didn't ask and seated us as many tables were open. Food: We ordered Calimari, Daily Pasta with Prawns, Frutti di Mare, and various oysters. The calimari was nothing special; it was like any other appetizer you get at a seafood establishment. The Daily Pasta with Prawns was amazing! We debated ordering a second serving since we enjoyed it. The pasta had generous amounts of shrimp and the sauce was a little tomato cream. The Frutti de Mare was something I could live without; nothing exceptional as the calamari. Oysters: The restaurant's description on oysters is spot on. We had the miyagi, kumai, kusshls, and beausoleil. Our favorite was the beausoleil, which is under their "premium oyster" selection. Service: Our servers were great. No complaints at all. Ambiance: I am shocked this place wasn't packed! They do have outdoor seating, but their Yelp page says not dog friendly; a little confusing there.

Yelp
I was craving oysters during my visit to San Francisco and came across this restaurant. The restaurant itself is really cute with the art on the wall and we were immediately greeted when we walked inside. They have happy hour all day where oysters are $2.50 each or $3.50 each for premium oysters. We ordered 4 Miyagi, 4 Summerset, and 4 Steamboat. I can honestly say these are the best oysters I've ever had. They tasted extremely fresh and was a great start to our dinner. We then ordered the combination cocktail and that came out pretty quickly. We found some pieces of the crab shell in the meal so we had to make sure to look through the whole plate. Next time we'll probably just get the prawn cocktail since that was the best part. Lastly, we ordered the Alfredo chicken with pasta. The sauce was really rich and thick, so it filled us up super quick. It was a great pairing with the other food we had ordered! The one issue we did have was how cold the restaurant is. We were sat pretty close to the door and we felt the coldness whenever the door was opened. Then, they turned up the speed on the huge fans as if trying to make us leave. I've never shivered so much in a restaurant, so it caused us to leave. I will say that we enjoyed our stay for the most part because of how great the food is. However, we will definitely request to sit somewhere else next time we visit!
google avatar

Mike M.

Yelp
Had a nice dozen oysters here while recently coming through San Francisco. They had a great little happy hour selection with oysters for 250 or 350 each depending on which ones you chose. We chose three different options and they were all super tasty.
google avatar

Annie L.

Yelp
Our experience wasn't as great this time but it was still good! We ordered the Cioppino again and it was still delicious! Black mussels (because they were out of the green lipped mussels), the black mussels are tiny and it doesn't come with any bread which I think is odd. It's definitely more of an appetizer and the price should be much lower. Fish and chips - the fish was really crispy but they could've definitely added another piece of fish. And the fries were old, I think they refried or just kept the old fries under a warmer. My friends ordered the Oyster Rockefeller which is baked and they enjoyed it.
google avatar

Isa B.

Yelp
Should have known that an all day happy hour was too good to be true... the oysters were chunky, Sauvignon blanc and Chardonnay were bad. Sangria was mostly ice. Vibes off. Service off. Bathrooms were clean though!!!
google avatar

Stephanie D.

Yelp
Good food, fast service, chill environment. My friend and I came here on a Friday for lunch and were the only people there (not generally a good sign) but I was pleasantly surprised. The food was good, champagne was cold, and the oysters were fresh. It's a cute little place and parking wasn't bad, we parked around the corner on the street. I ordered the crab cakes as well and they were yummy. Will def be back!
google avatar

Jessica G.

Yelp
What a horrible customer experience I book a reservation through Yelp. Then I try to cancel it through Yelp and it says to call the restaurant to do so. I call the restaurant and they tell me they don't have a way to cancel but not to worry about it. Then I get a text saying I've been charged $20 for not showing up. What the heck!??

Yelp
Absolutely remarkable... Mission Street oyster bar is in an unexpected neighborhood but definitely worth hunting for parking to enjoy a delightful seafood meal. 24-7 happy hour oysters... We were ready to dive in... And we did. We ordered the fanny bay (BC Canada) and Miyagi (local) oysters and found them to be very fresh and delicious. Served with just enough condiments to access the wonderful taste. Our waiter (Fredy) was great and tended to all of our needs. We then enjoyed the ceviche Micro that was so fresh and tastier than expected. That evening, they offered a special of stuffed sole over mashed potatoes, and we couldn't let that go by without trying it. It was phenomenal as you can see in the attached photographs. The shell Fish combination was our last entrée and it was cooked to perfection. All in all Mission Street Oyster Bar was a very good pick. Planning on returning with family that enjoys the gratifying taste of seafood.

Yelp
The service was great and all the staff were extremely kind and helpful when we had questions about the items on the menu. The location is really cute and well kept. I would recommend this location for anyone who likes oysters

Yelp
I came here for oysters and were really good. Probably the best I've had in the Bay Area. My favorite was Steamboat and Shigoku.

Yelp
Amazing spot! If you don't know, now you do. Come to this place and supprt local business!
google avatar

Tina S.

Yelp
You had me at happy hour all day. Oysters were priced around $2.50 to $3.50 a piece. There was a pretty good variety. We tried 5 different ones. The first Miyagis we had we great but the second round wasn't as good. The happy hour drinks are not that impressive. I believe around $9 for a sangria out of the bottle. Service was excellent. Pretty spacious restaurant.

Yelp
After a marathon weekend of working and playing hard I deserved a treat: fancy dinner! So I ordered delivery, combination seafood salad and bread and butter. I was craving crab, shrimp and prawns and they delivered. The good: The seafood was super fresh and tasty, and the salad was very generously sized. A splurge, for sure. The bad: The vinaigrette was abysmal (all oil, no seasoning) and they only gave about 1 tablespoon for a giant salad. Thankfully I had one of my favorite vinaigrettes at home which went beautifully (Brianna's Homesyle Real French Dressing). The bread seemed dry and kind of Meh, not my preference, and no butter. $4.50. No napkins. For $$$ please put a smidge more effort into the little details. 3.8/5

Yelp
Delicious food, sketchy parking! We went here on a Wednesday evening. The restaurant was almost empty. This led us to wonder if the food was going to be any good. It was! Our favorite oyster bar in the city is anchor, but unfortunately it was closed this night. This was the alternate place we found, and the food was equally as delicious. We ordered the cioppino, calamari, Caesar salad, and a couple of oysters. Everything was delicious! Hope this place sticks around we will definitely be back.

Yelp
Honestly, I was really enjoying my food and the restaurant up until I was mid way thru my glass of red wine and I noticed a bunch of things on the bottom. Initially I thought it was sediments till further inspection, it was about 5 fruit flys. You can see the wings and everything... gross. Told the waiter and he tossed the bottle out. A server must have forgotten to close the bottle before closing one night. Pretty disgusting and I lost my appetite after. Before that point, everything was good. We enjoyed the fresh oysters and had about 24 of them ranging from happy hour ones and premium ones. All were very fresh and opened nicely. Calamari was good, and ceviche even better. Like I said, I was really enjoying my meal up until the wine. Sadly, I didn't take any pictures but I have never experienced fruit flys in my wine before. I had the Pinot.

Andrew D.

Yelp
Friendly staff and very chill atmosphere. The cioppino I ordered was off the chart! It was the best version I have had. Sadly I forgot to take pictures of the dishes I ate.

Chita P.

Yelp
We had a big craving for seafood, but didn't want to wait @ Swan Oyster Depot so we checked this place out. Awesome all day happy hour! DEAL! We ordered the Oysters, super fresh and yummy served with standard mignonette and cocktail sauce...there a lot to choose from for everyone's palate. NEW ENGLAND CLAM CHOWDER was definitely not worth the calories. Super bland. So bad I didn't even eat it. The OYSTER PO BOY was meh, oysters were deliciously fried so just get fried oysters if that's what you want. What let us down was the measly sesame bun it came on...WHAT? A sesame burger bun?! I have never seen a Po Boy served like that. It should be on a delicious French Bread or Hoagie. It totally ruined the Po Boy experience. There's a Chinese bakery down the street with amazing bread, I wish they'd just make a deal and use their bread. We also had RED SNAPPER PICCATA and man was that YUMMY! Served with a delicious mashed potato and veggies that were well seasoned. I would definitely go back for that and the all day oyster happy hour! Oh...BTW, loved our server but she's literally taking orders, bartending and shucking oysters! Show her some love and be patient

Yelp
I had no clue what to expect when picking this restaurant. I wanted seafood in the Mission so Mission Street Oyster Bar sounded perfect! There weren't many other people dining so I was very pleased with the attentive staff and service, but let's keep it honest, if I received anything less I might've thrown a fit. I was very pleasantly surprised at how good and fresh and light the oysters were. And my shrimp fettuccine pasta was excellent! I'm already ready to go back.
google avatar

Yelp
Fantastic fresh oysters, great service and wonderful ambiance! Excellent choice of music ! Quick tip to assess a great restaurant: quality of Caesar salad and homemade bread. They nailed both' Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
This place will forever hold a special place in my heart. My wife n I's first date. We stayed till close. I'll never forget it. I had been frequenting this place for the freshest oysters I could find in the Mission for years before I brought her in. They always have a great selection with some regulars. If you get a chance, get the Kusshi's. They come in from our friends to the North in Canada and have an exquisite sweet melon taste. Real thick, creamy n juicy. Next runner up is their regular house oyster, the Kumamoto. It's smaller but it's sweet n creamy like Fanny Bay and full of flavor! But if you want to steal your date's heart like I did, get the Cioppino and a side of garlic bread, put it over noodles & call it the rest of your life. That'll make you wanna put a ring on it. You're welcome.

Yelp
I am in awe with this place! We love oysters and seafood and have eaten in so many raw and oyster bars in the city of SF but this is the best place!! The variety, freshness and price of the oysters has no rival, the wine list is pretty good. The peruvian ceviches are simply delicious and the king is the cioppino for sure! What a pleasant surprise to find such an excellent cioppino, it was just perfect. Extremely generous portion, perfect for 2 people, flavorful, fresh seafood and fish, steaming, full of herbs... This is our go to place now on for everything seafood in the city. The place is really cute and the service is phenomenal.

Yelp
The crabcakes were great, and also the seafood gazpacho! Pretty bare bones and in iffy neighborhood, but worthwhile.

Yelp
When you need fresh oysters and great service at reasonable prices, come here! I was craving oysters and was in the area so I headed here. The service was on point even though they were short staffed. They made sure everyone had water and always cleared our dishes. The seafood combo with the fresh crab, prawn, amd shrimp with cocktail sauce was fresh amd the shrimp was very sweet. I highly recommend this dish. The casear salad was good amd we'd order it again. We had all their regular and premium oysters and they were all delicious and worth it ranging from $2 and some change to $3.50. The were fresh and the waiter made sure to show us which oysters were which and you could even order just ONE oyster to try out if you wanted to! That sets this place apart from other places, the fact that you can order individual oysters! Skip the clam chowder, it was lukewarm and tasted canned. They also have a fresh crab sandwich for $26 which had nothing but fresh crab meat. This place is a Mission Gem!

Yelp
Went for happy hour today with a friend for some delicious fresh oysters, we also got a mission fried platter, believe that was the name. It was calamari, shrimp, and fried oysters. The oysters were so delicious that we ordered a second appetizer of just the fried. the sangria is tasty. The service is very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend, will definitely be going back.

Yelp
Stopped by on a Sunday for lunch. Made a reservation for 11am but realized we didn't need one when we arrived; the place was completely empty. We ordered the happy hour oysters, ciopino, ceviche, and some drinks. Some of the shrimp in the ciopino tasted a little freezer burned but overall a great experience at mission street oyster bar. We'll definitely be back.

Yelp
The happy hour oyster deal is a great way to try oysters at a great price! Looks like they have it run the whole day. Surprised it was a bit empty on a weekend. The highlight was the Cioppino hands down! It was at such a great value and super tasty!

Yelp
After running some errands and waiting for the rush hour commute to die down, time for an early dinner. Checking for nearby seafood restaurant, this establish popped up with decent reviews so off we go. They have a decent variety of oysters for $2.50 and $3.50 for premium oysters. We opted for one of each of the happy hour oysters (5 variety). They were mostly on the small size and fresh. The larger ones had more taste. Since it was early, we shared a salad and a bowl cioppino. My GF felt the cioppino was the best she ever had. It was chock full of mussels, clams, squid, fish, crab meat and a couple prawn. The broth was great to dip the cheesy garlic bread. The service was pleasant and friendly. The price was on par. Since it was early, we had the place to our own. We had a very good experience and think a future visit is warranted.
