"Mississippi is likely Portland’s best strip for finding live music, and Mississippi Pizza Pub holds up the Southern end of the avenue with regular jazz shows, country nights, hip hop showcases, and local singer songwriters. Pizzas here range from classics like pepperoni to vegan numbers with pesto or butternut squash, plus happy hour slices and pitchers of beer. Buy tickets online ahead of time to secure your spot." - Jenni Moore, Eater Staff

"Best known as a music venue, Mississippi Pizza is a Portland staple serving several vegetable-loaded pies with names like Painted Hills, Enchanted Forest, and Karmalized — with the option of a gluten-free crust. If the cheese-less pies don’t appeal, build your own with vegan mozzarella, vegan Italian sausage, and a wide selection of base sauces and vegetables. Diners can enjoy a whole spread of garlic breadsticks, kale salad with artichoke hearts and pesto dressing, and chocolate coconut balls. The shop also offers daily lunch specials and $3 happy hour slices." - Waz Wu

Google
Amazing pizza by the slice. We had the pepperoni and the fancy meat pizza. Both yum!! We went in at 11 PM on a Friday. 3 slices of pizza and 2 seltzers came out to $20 even. Definitely would recommend.

Went here to see a super talented band performing Zappa, Edgar Winter, Deep Purple, King Crimson... Entrance to Atlantis is inside Mississippi Pizza 🍕 which smelled amazing! Great local brews on tap. Clean bathroom. Looking forward to going back again.

Google
I found this place while looking for gluten free options for my friend while they were in town. They were good about avoiding cross contamination and the pizza itself is excellent! Crunchy and great topping options. We have become repeat customers and highly recommend it to others

Google
I come out from Beaverton for the Big Gay Dance Party and was not disappointed! I'd never been here before and had a fun and a stellar time. The Bartender was super friendly as was everyone who was working. I have autism and it's not always easy to go new places. Thanks for helping to make it a rad night for me! I'll definitely be back!

Ben Annear

Google
Pizza was great. Crunchy crust, firm body and great flavor. My 5yr old son loved the cheese slice and I had the meat slice. Great iconic Portland pizza joint. Daily specials and music.

Google
I finally got a chance to try Mississippi pizza in Portland. The place was somewhat difficult to find almost a hole in the wall type of place, which is usually a good sign. I entered into a cozy space with great seating options. The service was fantastic, the employees were very receptive to dietary restrictions and welcomed me in for my first time. I ordered a 12” half cheese and half “Portland” with red sauce and was unfortunately underwhelmed. While the crust was great with a solid crisp, the pizza was extremely floppy and almost greasy. The flavour was fairly bland and I did not taste as much of the red sauce as I had hoped. It almost seemed different than the pizza available by the slice. The pricing of the pizza was also very expensive compared to some of the other options available in the area. I also did get a chance to try the breadstick which was okay at best. Overall, I can understand why many people like coming here, as the ambience and location is very homey. However, in terms of pizza, I would not recommend it very highly.

Google
We absolutely love this place. The staff is great! The pizza is great! (The Portland gluten free with Sheep’s Cheese is so, so good! ) We love to go watch The Occidental Tourist on third Sundays. The Atlantis Lounge in back is cozy and charming.

Cynthia Long

Google
The pizza was amazing, it's a cute restaurant and the staff was friendly.

Yelp
The best NY Style pizza in Portland. I love this place. The first time I walked in, I realized that this place had all the aromas of a Brooklyn pizzeria. I was sold. The pizza is delicious. And they actually leave it in the oven long enough to brown the crust and so it cracks when you fold it. My issue with Portland pizzerias is that they never leave it in the oven long enough. If you haven't been here yet, get you @$$ down here. You'll love it too. Shout out to Mario!

Yelp
While in Portland, I recently discovered a hidden gem for thin crust pizza lovers, and I must say, it left me craving for more! This place has it all - delicious thin crust pizza by the slice, a bar type ambiance (appropriate for kids), and to top it off, they even serve refreshing beer! Let me tell you more about my experience at this fantastic pizza joint. First and foremost, the option to order pizza by the slice is a game-changer! This allows you to try different flavors without committing to a whole pie. However, they didn't have that big of a selection. It's perfect for those who want variety or are simply in the mood for a quick and satisfying snack. The slices are generously sized. Now, let's talk a Whether you're catching up with friends, having a casual date night, or simply enjoying a solo pizza feast, this place provides the perfect backdrop. In conclusion, you can't go wrong coming here for pizza. I would return for a slice and beer, however, Portland is filled with great pizza spots. Also, the neighborhood is super cute!!!

Melanie T.

Yelp
We came at the perfect time. There were so many different varieties of pizza to choose from. I ordered the "all veggie" and it was so yummy. I also had a salad with ranch. The dough is so perfect! Thank you for feeding us tonight. We will definitely come more often and bring friends and family.

Kayley H.

Yelp
I have always loved this place. Great for shows and I like their gluten-free pizza. But this has got to be the saddest bread sticks I've ever seen. $14 for a few tiny pieces of garlic and some oil. Go for the pizza instead. Eeek!

Humam T.

Yelp
What! I don't have a review for Mississippi Pizza.. what gives I come here frequently enough that I owe them review. One big bonus is that they have pizza by the slice, and boy it is delicious. Most dogs are alive but also have a good breadsticks. The beer selection is so so, but who cares... the place itself is funky or which I like. There is a ton of seating so you don't have to worry about that. Sometimes street parking is an issue, but this place is worth going around the block few times for a few dozen times

Dee B.

Yelp
Quick service, good food reliable taste and quality, however the prices of pizza have gone up so far I'd almost, key word almost for the bargain goto Pizza Hut however this is within walking distance, great atmosphere & wonderful people.

Ben C.

Yelp
Cozy neighborhood pizza parlor offering regular fun for regulars and serving yummy cheezy pizza. Fresh selection of beer & wine & cocktails. To offer live music all the time is a ginormous job in itself! But it was the chef that brought us back ~ he surprisingly friendly & courteous. Though it was late into the night, his vibe & hospitality was top notch. Nothing pretentious, just great service & live music ~ best place for the local community to unwind & enjoy life with some yummy pizza.

Faith H.

Yelp
Been going her since 22' I ordered several drinks and took a break from enjoying the night to grab some pizza in the restaurant and before I could go back to the bar and tip the bartender he came up and kicked my friend and I out saying " no one wants us here we are never welcomed back " I fully anticipated returning to the bar and ordering another round and tipping out. On my way out the bartender told me to enjoy my work day as a manger at my company and said I knew why I was being barred. I've loved this place for years and real shame.

Claire H.

Yelp
The enchanted Forrest pizza sub zucchini for broccoli & sub kalamata olives for black olives & ADD field roast sausage - is hands down my favorite vegan pizza in Portland with a GF option those substitutions make it mostly alkaline (except the sau

McKenna D.

Yelp
Ordered 2 pizzas for pick up and my family ate every last crumb! The pizza was hot and ready exactly when we were expecting and tasted phenomenal!

Jerry P.

Yelp
Came in tonight specifically for the Trivia night. The place has a good atmosphere and vibe. The show was fun. The Pizza however was only mediocre. I had the pepperoni pizza. It could have been a lot better if it wasn't burnt. Not happy about it. The hostess for this event was awesome. Genevieve full of energy and made it fun.

Lauren M.

Yelp
We walked in thinking we were heading into a pizza joint and ended up at a party! This was such a fun spot with great food and live music! It smelled so good from the moment we walked in! We ordered a BKT pizza and a spinach salad. Both were delicious! We were not expecting the lounge area when we went in to sit down and wait for our food, but it was awesome! We were able to sit all the way in the back area without paying the cover and still listen to the live music. There's a fun bar in the Atlantis lounge area, and the bartender was mixing up some fancy drinks. We did not end up having any mixed drinks, but saw her interact with so many customers and she seemed to really know her stuff. So glad we randomly stumbled upon this spot while visiting Portland!

Brian Doyle L.

Yelp
Awesome vegetarian pizza options and great ambiance! Service is fast and easy and glad they didn't kick us out since we ate the pizza already and decided to just sit for a very long time catching up with friends!

Terence C.

Yelp
This the required place to have a drink and lounge in the Mississippi area. The music is always good and so is the food.

Matt S.

Yelp
I went here late after a night of enjoying Mississippi with some friends. Solid pizza is all I can say. It's a great little local spot, tasty pizza, solid prices, and a great way to end of a night. There were also a smattering of pizza picking up pies to go which is of course always a good sign. Definitely give it a try if you haven't yet, just look for the little pizzas on the sidewalk to guide you to their front door.

Anuja S.

Yelp
Super delicious pizzas with a great spread of vegetarian and vegan options! It gets very busy, so next time we're going to grab a slice and order a full pizza, so we're munching on something while we're waiting for the pie! We'll definitely be back! We had the Portland pizza and ring the bell pizzas.. and we can't decide which one we liked better :) They do have a freeze full of Ruby jewel, but we tried another spot nearby, since the line was too long to get ice cream sandwiches. It's the same line for pizza and ordering ice cream. Def Recommend this place!

Shaida H.

Yelp
First time here; they have covered outdoor seating and dining inside too. They have pizza by the slice available but if you want gluten free, you need to order whole pizzas. They have vegan garlic breadsticks and vegan ranch; which we ordered. We also ordered cheese and pepperoni 12" pizza and the gluten free crust is foldable. They have garlic powder, red chili flakes, hot sauce and Parmesan cheese toppings at the tables. Staff is friendly and the restaurant tries their best to not increase cross continuation. Would return!

Sonya E.

Yelp
WOWzers. Talk about good pizza in town! Located in the Mississippi District, the pizza joint has something special for all my pizza lovers. For starters, one could order pizza by the slice that is already readily available at the counter for quick ordering. If you're not a one hitter-quitter on all things pizza, be daring and order one of their combos or build your own. We ordered a custom pizza and it was amazing. Perfect amount of mozzarella cheese, sauce was on point, and the toppings were so dreamy. Customer service definitely had the "small town" feel in that associates were friendly and personable. And, they don't charge for sides of ranch! Yes my friends -- go crazy. Outdoor seating is available in their beautiful sidewalk set up that has decorative lighting and comfortable benches.

Ray H.

Yelp
Plain and simple: we over-ordered and as a result we had a delicious lunch that cost us too much, especially when we wasted/threw away almost half of our pizzas. So unless you have been starving yourself for days or have serious big man appetites, you should know that a small pizza will feed 2 comfortably. Another bit of advice: build your own pizza ingredients are pricey. Please do not let any of this deter you from going here for pizza. It's top of the line crust and ingredients and the staff is very friendly and helpful. My wife had a GF with bacon, artichoke hearts, ripe olives, and tomatoes, while I had regular crust with chicken thigh, spinach, and mushrooms. We had a glass of Sangiovese apiece. With tip our tab was $81.

Cindi E.

Yelp
One of the Best ever pizza places I've found in Portland yet! The staff are pretty friendly too. Variety of the menu is so yummy. My Favorite is The Spicoli with jalapeños as an added note. They also in another part have live music with a Bar. It's actually called the Atlantis Lounge

Dagne S.

Yelp
We got the 16" gluten free crust with half cheese and half real nice. Fantastic gluten free crust! Thin and crispy with good flavor. Can't go wrong with the cheese and the real nice was very balanced and fresh tasting with basil, sausage, and ricotta cheese. Very friendly and considerate staff. Will definitely be coming back for more!

Tim S.

Yelp
My wife loves this place so..... obviously we HAVE TO go. Good thing the pizza is really good so I don't have to suffer going here. We have always had great service as well as great food so this place is a joy to visit. I know "to each their own" but I bet you will still like it. Get a whole pizza though, it is a little better fresh. My wife recommends the Spicoli. Tge toppings sound odd but it is awesome.

Genya H.

Yelp
Poor service. Doorman asked if I had been drinking as I was entering a bar !!! Was extremely rude !

Scot N.

Yelp
We REALLY wanted to like this place. Saturday night is our pizza night. Each Saturday night we get a pizza and relax at home. My wife is gluten free and we had been told that Mississippi Pizza had the best gluten free crust around. Perhaps we caught them on a bad night but neither of us was impressed. My go to pizza is always a pepperoni pizza with green olives. Unfortunately, they did not have green olives so I just went with extra pepperoni. The pizza was OK. I didn't really find the cheese to be very flavorful and the crust, which was regular, was just there. It was a holder for the toppings but provided nothing to the overall flavor. The red sauce also seem to be nonexistent. In my opinion, the red sauce will make or break a pizza. I almost couldn't find any sauce on my pizza. The gluten-free pizza my wife had was also just OK. We can usually finish off the majority of a pizza but neither of us ate more than half of our pizzas. By far, the worst part of the meal was the gluten-free breadsticks. These were terrible. I can't even really say they were breadsticks so much as they were a flat pizza crust that had a little bit of garlic on it. We threw away half the order. Like I said, maybe we got the pizza on a bad night. We will give them another shot but as of now, I can't see us rushing back to have this pizza again.

Keizzel C.

Yelp
Walking down Mississippi it's not easy to miss this place with the smell of fresh pizza wafting through the air. During Covid they have some of the street built into seating with covering so whether you're starting your night or ending it this is a solid spot to get a slice or if you're like us a box to go. The boxes here have hugeee thin slices of pie for you to enjoy. We ended up trying the heart stopper for the meat lover and it was nice! Didn't skimp out on the toppings and you get a nice bit of everything in each bite without it being too overwhelmingly heavy. If you are taking it to go I would recommend just heating it up in your oven to give the bottom a nice crisp again as the steam in the box makes it a little soggy especially due to the size of each slice. A couple mins and you got yourself a nice crisp crust and melty cheese to enjoy.

Erin H.

Yelp
This is definitely drunk person pizza. I took a few bites when it arrived and was was not impressed, but a few beers later it was acceptable. More importantly (or alarmingly), when did $30+ pizza become acceptable? I did a 'create your own' with mozzarella, pepperoni, ricotta, and basil. Three lousy dollops of ricotta cost an extra $3 and change, too. Same amount for basil? I also ordered a small kale salad with pesto dressing. I liked the artichokes but the tomatoes were the large, mealy variety that have no business in a salad. The dressing provided was not too flavorful and the amount insufficient for a kale based salad. If you're willing to pay this much for one pizza and a tiny salad, order from a better known and better reviewed restaurant.

Angel F.

Yelp
I love this place. I don't get here often because it's so far away but when I'm on this side of town, a nice slice and a salad does me well. I love the outdoor seating, very comfortable and thestaff is always friendly.

Martina C.

Yelp
SO we tried MS pizza WAY back in December of 2019 for the first time because our friends have Celiac disease and can only do certain restaurants and MS Pizza is one. We went on a "family date" and had great GF and Vegan pizza and enjoyed the bluegrass band that played. The pizza was really good. The crust is always really important to me and it was thin, but not too thin, and had a nice crisp. I had a Negroni that evening and it was perfect. I went back with a friend a few weeks ago and we ordered for pick up. Somehow our order got messed up and it wasn't made yet so they offered us free drinks while we waited, which we didn't need; but they were very apologetic and super kind. With all the nonsense of COVID people are rude and on edge more than ever so I didn't feel like the staff needed an attitude from me. I was just thankful they were open to make me delicious pizza. And I appreciated them apologizing and admitting they messed up. To me, a business willing to say they made a mistake and then trying to fix it right away earns my business. Especially NOW. Our great local places like Mississippi pizza need our business. Not to mention the pizza is pretty damn good. The second pizza I had was GF crust (the first I had was JUST Vegan,) and I have to admit it was really good. I have never tried a GF crust for pizza that I thought was even decent. But this was GOOD. So good I would actually order it again!! MS Pizza thanks for being open to serve the community and still making us great pizza!!

Chase M.

Yelp
No idea how I, in all the years, all the pizza, all the street fairs, never yelp'd ole 'sippi pizza. Back when, back when... once was vegan, and this spot delivered the slices. Now as I come full carne comeback I flip the switch to real deal pizza... For this I write a haiku The line was so long The day was dreadfully hot Rejoice in pizza Went here after the street fair 2 weeks ago now, I thought ahead when I saw them pop up on mercperks, what is that you ask... shhhh Decided on a whole pie, went the largest, cuz pizza. I don't fancy red sauce much, I went garlic EVOO instead, was not disappointed. The meat, a classic, pep... not just those big sloppy pepperoni, the 'curl' mini peps.. ya know "curls for the girls" anxiously awaited... it delivered.. well we ate there, so.. I guess it served? It was amazing, thin crust, soaked in fatty aminos, salty pepperoni masked the air. I made it, and loved every minute. I'd advise to come here and check out the venue, they have many shows both family friendly and hip. Seating for parties, and out door covered for when it's appropriate. PRO TIP: the mercury paper (altperks) or merc perks has 50 off vouchers you buy. Pay 10, get 20...

Yelp
A solid place to grab a quick snack. They also have a bar side and live entertainment (not sure if that's going on with the current situation). I do like the lunch special where you can get any 2 slices and a soda for $9. The Fancy meat slice is like your supreme pizza. It has a combo of meat and veggies on it. The pizza slices are reheated to make sure its nice and warm when you eat it. Overall, quick and friendly service.

Jax R.

Yelp
I really like this place off Mississippi Ave. They have great meat and veg pizzas on the menu. You can order by the slice or whole pizzas. They're a cozy place that's friendly and welcoming. Generally great vibes here. In the pub they usually have bands play in the evenings, trivia nights, occasional drag shows. Lots of fun entertainment to be had along with good food and drinks!

Udayan K.

Yelp
Red couch in an otherwise open space. High energy vibes when we went on a Saturday night cos of the pub next door. Most people seem to get to-go. Pizza by slice and about 5 choices including vegan ones. Clean store. Quick service. Pizza was oily but tasted good. The garlic bread was really good. They also have a fridge filled with Ruby Jewel!

Mo G.

Yelp
You walk in and smell the fine pizza aroma. Then you see the fine selections displayed behind glass. I came from another town and it is worth going the distance. The pizza crust is the best I have experienced in the Portland area. In fact, 3 of us think it is the best pizza we have ever had. And that means worldwide. Cool people work here. Everything was clean. The drinking water was cold, and tasted like it came directly from the Mt. Hood Wilderness. I have been here in past years , and the quality is still top notch. I know the entertainment is awesome as well. Mississippi Is a winner.

Jennifer M.

Yelp
This is our second time here and definitely not our last. We did the slices in the past and this time ordered a full pizza. I'm an "any pizza is better than no pizza" kinda gal, but honestly this pizza is fantastic. The slices were good enough to bring us back, but the freshly cooked to order pizza was heavenly. We had the beet salad too and it was on point. The service was excellent and prices are good. Defiantly a excellent choice on for pizza and one of our favorite Mississippi options!

Steve C.

Yelp
I've been to a lot of places for pizza and this place makes my Top 5. Nothing beats out Flying Pie but this place did a great job. We got a large pepperoni and that shit was good especially with a nice cold lager to rinse it down. The bread sticks weren't anything great.

Andrew A.

Yelp
No wood fired oven, no questionable "artisan" ingredients that push prices to the stratosphere, just solid pizza. The Veggie was excellent, the pesto base probably had something to do with it. The crust was just right. They offer slices, often certain ones for $2.50. Their attractive outside seating, especially at night, is a huge plus. There's even a vegan offering. Parking blows. Good alcohol bar, nice staff, very fair prices.

Diana K.

Yelp
I'm addicted to this pizza. I start bike rides from the location just so I get the reward of a fabulous pizza at the end. The crust is perfect ... reminds me of the pizza I had in New York when I grew up there. The toppings are quality. And everyday it's good but I've learned that when these two gentlemen are on shift, it's always spot on with flavor, crust, and topping distribution. And I love the beer choices they make as they cycle through their taps. Needless to say, I wish I lived closer. Oh wait, maybe it's good that I don't because I'd be there for every meal possible. And they are awesome about Covid practices and overall customer service!

Julie D.

Yelp
Came by to see Jujuba play. Great spot for drinks on a Saturday night. I mainly went because there was a show. We got there shortly before the band came on. Our first stop was the bar. After getting the first round of what I think was 6 rounds based on my tab, we found a spot at the corner where the bar becomes the dining are. Fortunately for us, the party of people at a nice table left after they finished their dinner so we took over their area. By the time the band came on we were on our second round and feeling good. One upside of sitting at the table at the very back was that the view was perfect. We were far away from stage, but the sound was just fine. The walk to the bar was also just a few steps. The drinks were decent. The bartender was super nice and quickly remembered my name.

Addie P.

Yelp
Excellent service! When in to pick up a pizza for third party delivery and apparently I was early and the girl working front counter apologized because I was early and also because they hadn't started the order. She was very nice and even gave me a free slice of pizza. The pizza was very delicious it was actually my first time there and I'm definitely going to stop by on a day off to grab a bite. Definitely recommend this pizza place!

Laurie F.

Yelp
Against my wishes, this is one of my favorite Pizza places in town. It is against my wishes because its 2 blocks from my house. They still are doing slices if you walk-in, which is too tempting. I'm hoping if I switch up my masks everyday, they will not recognize I am the same person. I had a sausage/mushroom slice and Oakshire Porter today and it was the best gosh darned lunch I've had in many a moon. I almost feel bad for the cardboard box because the pizza is out and eaten so quickly. I'll also add that I've been coerced into getting a Vegan Pie here and it was just as good as can be. Couldn't tell any difference! Healthy! Their salads are also not something to sleep on. Because that would be gross in the morning. And they are delish.

Justine D.

Yelp
This was a funky little pizzeria. We did a 16" and finished off the whole thing between the two of us. Lots of seating in the back and I loved the look of the cable car with booths outside. Pizza was tasty. We built our own with pepperoni and mushrooms. I loved the whole cloves of garlic in the sauce. There was live music happening that was a bit on the loud side but I saw more seating in a back room so you have options to listen or not. Will try to come again to try the pizza by the slice. We came with our vegan friends and they were big fans of the pizza and breadsticks as well. They also have salad options. It was a casual vibe and looked like it was good for groups.

Elaine Y.

Yelp
Came for a late lunch after hiking around the Columbia River Gorge. We originally wanted something quick and thought to grab just a few slices to go but a quick look at the offerings proved not appealing. However, it was getting late and we didn't want to search more so we sat and ordered a pie. We also added a baby kale salad to split among 4 and found it to not only be refreshing but also hearty featuring nice fresh wedges of tomatoes and some marinated artichoke hearts. The dressing was also absolutely delicious - nutty, creamy, a bit cheesy...like an elevated caesar. The pie took a little long to make in my opinion...but good things do take time. When it came out, the bottom was just barely golden brown evenly across. I felt like it was underdone (but not undercooked). I would have liked a little more char to it. That said, the cheese game is beautiful here. It pulls for miles on end and tastes amazing. It also doesn't congeal quickly which is so important to see when ordering a pizza. I was also impressed by the number of condiments available for pizza ranging from typical red pepper flakes to fancier garlic powder through to nutritional yeast for vegans! Nice! I loved the message this basically sends - All visitors should be welcomed and should also have an option available that fits his/her dietary restrictions. Would welcome a repeat some day...one day

Dave K.

Yelp
Kids loved their cheese slices, we grown ups were rocked out by their gluten free Greek vegetarian pie. The toppings on it were fine; where it really shine was in having the best gluten-free crust I've ever enjoyed. The salad was an average salad--you know, greens, some carrot slices and an ehhh dressing. We went to hear a friend play bluegrass and that was awesome, especially when his 8 year old daughter joined the stage with her fiddle Awesome scene and ambience. Folks in the bar area where we grabbed some omission gluten free beer were discussing the then upcoming debate. Both were down on the candidates. This is just that though-a place to hang out with friends, drink beer, listen to music or discuss the world with strangers. Oh yes, and have some solid "pie."

Vivek B.

Yelp
Really good pizza, and garlic bread. The staff is very nice. It's a great place to have pizza and drinks.

Maddy J.

Yelp
The best gluten free & dairy free pizza I have had. This place was SUPER accommodating & so nice! Amazing customer service. I have an autoimmune disease that heavily restricts my diet. My first pizza I ordered I totally messed up & it had things on it that I couldn't eat & they made me a brand new one without a hassle at all and were so KIND about it. Additionally I had 0 reaction from the food which is a huge win for me. 100% recommend.

Ashley C.

Yelp
We were looking for a spot to eat that also had live music - Mississippi Pub has live music everyday! The left side is the restaurant where you order pizza slices and full pizzas at the counter. The right side has the live music, tables, and a bar in the back. They also have a ton of booth seating outside, and you can still hear the music. Luckily the outside seating is fully covered so we didn't have to worry about the rain. It's a pretty kid friendly spot (but no kids in the bar side past 9pm) since they have paper, crayons, and board games available. As for the pizza, these slices are huge! One was just enough for me. I ordered the 'fancy veggie,' topped with artichoke, broccoli, ricotta, and red bell pepper. It was tasty, but at the same time nothing special. The slices are already made and sitting under the heat lamps at the counter, but they put them in the oven to heat them up for you once you order. The full pizzas that came out fresh looked super good too, but if you can't decide on one pizza type for a group, I'd just go with the slices so you can pick your own.

Yelp
Mississippi Pizza has been around for ages. It truly is a staple of the Mississippi Neighborhood! With that, they help keep alive some of that more "true Portland feel." Their pizza unfortunately, is just alright. I have tried several of their veggies, meat, and plain old cheese and with each slice I've tried, there seems to always be something missing. What it is, I can't quite put my finger on it but unfortunately, it's just not the best pizza I've ever had. Plus side: they do have vegan and gluten free options and fairly priced! They have a variety of drinks, beers on tap, sodas, and cocktails coming from the Atlantis Lounge. Now how the lounge works is that you walk into the pizza pub, go through a door and you see the stage and a room with tables for eating/listening, and if you venture further, you'll enter a dimly lit, cool-vibe lounge. The music: Check out who they have coming in online! They have all sorts come in, just this last weekend, they have a pirate band - it was awesome. Bottom Line: Fair prices, relaxed environment, fun music, and friendly neighborhood vibe.

Yelp
I grew up in this neighborhood and it's not often that I get a chance to come back and enjoy it. I actually came here because of the urban league young professional event "a night of black trivia" it was pretty fun there's a bar in the back so you don't have to worry about ordering up in the front but they're pretty slow... the pizza and everything was delicious the drinks were strong. I give it a four star just because of the amount of time it takes you to get your food especially if it's packed I think they should change how people line up because the line can be out the door and on a cold day that's really not the business

Yelp
New to Portland and this is by far our favorite pizza place. We live close by and get delivery right from the restaurant, super fast and so so good! The crust is thin, not too much sauce and perfect toppings. 10 out of 10 would recommend
