Google
Missuri Lounge in Berkeley has quickly become one of my favorite go-to spots—whether it’s for an afternoon bite, a relaxed evening hangout, a place to unwind, or even a late-night snack. Whether you sit indoors or enjoy the fresh air outside, the vibe is always laid-back, comfortable, and welcoming. The food is consistently good, the drinks are spot-on, and the staff couldn’t be friendlier. The service is attentive without ever feeling intrusive, which really elevates the experience. If you’re looking for a comfortable, easygoing place to relax with great food, solid drinks, and excellent service, Missuri Lounge is absolutely worth a visit.

Google
A great local tavern with a pleasant outdoor area. Friendly staff.

The neighborhood is complete again after a 4+ year hiatus. On soft opening day, it was busy but service was fast and bathrooms are as always…scary but clean. Bonus: 4 new bathrooms outside. Patio vibe is still top notch, friendly share picnic tables, other people’s puppies. My favorite bar in the Bay.

Google
This place is great, very chill. Drinks are reasonably priced and the staff is just fun. There isn't a kitchen but they do partner with places that serve food on the back patio on the weekends... I'm not sure about weekdays...

Rachel D.

Google
This place is a gem. Our go to when we want to sit outside in the afternoon. Good day drinking spot. Dog friendly. They usually have some food in the back made by local food truck like people.

Dobias S.

Google
Great bartenders (lookin' at you, Cesar and Monica). Great beers and drinks. Plenty of space. Good music. Good vibes. Go grab a drink here, you wont regret it.

Google
Missouri Lounge is BACK! Fun to be had - Boilermakers and a nice back patio, mixed drinks, beer and conviviality in a laid back manner.

Google
This is bye and far a definite dive bar. However they have good food. Excellant drinks and wonderful staff. Definitely a good place to spend the night.

Yelp
This place is still hella coo even after the pandemic! Got a nice face lift inside and some major updates to the back patio to make this even cooler. Drinks are still cheap and good. Now they have a real kitchen area in the back patio that can host pop-ups from local vendors. Every vendor I've tried so far has been solid! (Chop cheese, tacos, Chinese fusion, etc) get some food before you go for the tequila/whiskey special, or else you won't remember the night lol
google avatar

Yelp
Wow havent been here since pre covid and was happy to find out Taco Oscar had a pop up so def I needed to make a pitstop. We arrived and a sweet blonde was tending the bar. I didnt catch her name but she did say she is part of the original crew. Made killer margaritas and the outdoor patio is spacious so Greg aint breathing or bumping elbows with me (not that its an issue) they have heated lamps. Def recommend

Yelp
Glad you're back Missouri Lounge! Yay. Same fun vibe with an upgrade. Came to the soft opening and loved the outdoor space plenty of sitting areas, food truck option and updated plentiful bathrooms. Bar, pool table and DJ dancing area in the same place. Service was friendly and attentive. Looking forward to many more visits in the future.

Yelp
I NEVER make a yelp review but this experience was too wild to not post. First: love the place and really happy it didn't close down for good. Remodeling g is rad but miss the way the backyard used to be. Now for the review: I went in (I'm actually writing this as I'm looking at the bartender) ordered my usual beer and a shot while my car charged up a block away and decided to order a hot dog for. The pop up out back. I admit it I messed up by not asking for my food without mustard and offered to pay full price for another without mustard. Vendor said don't worry about it he will eat it for dinner. Went back inside and the vendor brought me an entirely WRONG order which after noticing he fixed. Now here's the kicker, I wasn't a big fan of it and ate half. Not the first time I've ever had food I didn't like. Not the end of the world either I wasn't trippin because it is what it is. Crazy part: the bartender asks if I liked the food and I politely said "nah it's a little plain for me" she then says "well it's a Casper dog" I'm not from California and assumed that meant like it's a style of hotdog or something and when I asked she proceeded to mention it's a local brand and it's the reason for it being expensive. I then mentioned I'm not stressed about the price and asked what made Casper dogs so special? Her response? "Well he made you three!" Ummmm what? The first one is def my bad as I have an allergy and offered to pay full price. The second one I was brought an entirely wrong order and the final one I just wasn't a fan. I didn't get rude just wasn't a fan of the taste. To then be told "I'm not trying to get into it I don't care" if you don't care then Why ask then not give me a chance to reply. If I'm being polite and respectful why the attitude? Idk if this lady was trying to insinuate I'm broke or if people don't tip here typically, but even after the experience after tipping she kept saying "are you sure?" And thanking me heavily for the tip. Bizarre experience for sure and I def think said bartender could use some training in people skills as well as how to talk to people.l who speak to her with respect. Like for real that was the most insane experience because I've encountered this bartender before and she's been great. I think she was having a rough night because it was kind of slow and I over heard her talking about being displeased for having to come in or doing someone a favor by coming in tonight. still that's no reason to treat a paying respectful customer that way no matter if you're having a bad night or not. I'll be back as I don't think this was an experience to turn me away but yo I def had to leave a review. Update: Come to find out (via the door guy) the guy selling hot dogs is her partner. And yes she was in a distasteful mood because she wasn't supposed to work tonight. Idk who's to blame but I def didn't deserve the treatment I recieved. Still will go back and recommend the place though. Everyone has their off days.

Yelp
Came here with friends on a Friday night and it was chill vibes all around (and I mean that as in chill hangout, noise in the background). Plenty of parking on the streets, some right out front. I like the balance of having an indoor area with music, people playing pool, and Nacho Libre playing on the TV by the bar. There's character to the place. Out back, there's a patio with lots of space and cute lights - it gives a nice homey feel to the place. There was a pop up working in the back so we got to eat some good pizza while indulging in drinks, chats, and games. The star of the show for me here was the Dirty Shirley Temple - it was sweet and just the right amount of strong. Bartender was cool too, so service was solid!

Deez N.

Yelp
This place is garbage. Nothing but sad pathetic souls come here. Even the employees. Rude!Double check your receipt, they double charge you...Don't waste your time. Nor money. Food is crappy. Zero stars.
google avatar

Tao A.

Yelp
I had just started going to this bar recently. It's very conveniently located off 3 bus lines. The Wednesday Open Mic is excellent with DJs and experienced sound persons who provide all their own equipment and are delightful to work with...Paul and Roger. The patrons are friendly as well, and the back yard area is large, outfitted with tables. The bartenders are nice too. I recommend it as a great local neighborhood spot, and a welcoming place for friends to meet up in.

Rachel A.

Yelp
I realize leaving a bad review for a bar is pretty pointless but this review is for the owners. This bar used to be awesome and clearly they are trying to make it even better. Do playing great tunes, back area full of energy but unfortunately you will never get this with the bartenders you have working inside. We were instantly treated with disrespect from a bartender who did all this fancy stuff and produce absolutely terrible drinks! We tried multiple different times to ask for a basic dirty martini and it was never good and they were clearly getting more and more annoyed with us despite us being friendly trying to pull a smile out of her. The energy inside reflected her clearly not wanting to be there! We won't be back!!

James G.

Yelp
Bartender closing on Wed 8/14/25 was rude and clearly miserable to be there. Charged us $16 for a draft beer and soda water -- no receipt, of course. Overcharged and underwhelmed. Owner, you might want to check the register

Lauren L.

Yelp
Watch out for Monica! She steals people's money and pockets it by charging double for drinks and then totally (poorly) lying about it, saying let me see the receipt, and then admitting she never gave us one. She also shouted, at 12:02, to everyone who had a tab open that if they didn't leave immediately, she's going to add 20% to their bills. Yeah. That's not legal. If I were the owner, I'd be checking the records and receipts with a fine tooth comb, and conduct a thorough investigation of her. So shady and so rude. You're welcome for paying double AND the nice tip, thief. Right into your pocket. Wonder how many times this has happened. It was way too easy for her.

Yelp
After many years of waiting it's finally back! The outdoor patio is bigger and better and there are even new bathrooms outside. The spirit is definitely intact and I look forward to coming back again soon!

Yelp
Great fun at Missouri Lounge. I liked at outdoor patio and vibe. Definitely will come back to this spot.
google avatar

Yelp
Before covid, I used to come here to see Paul pot's open mic night. Is he coming back now that you re-opened?
google avatar

Sam A.

Yelp
Great location. The thing I like about this place is that it is in the most random part of The Bay Area. Good thing that it is back. Also it seems like a lot of people don't notice it.

Patrick S.

Yelp
The revamped Missouri Lounge is sweet. Not as dark, still a great place to relax with a pint or a whiskey. It was too go to head outside when I was there but it looked nice back there. Servers were really nice and the beer list was solid. Definitely worth a visit!

Austin N.

Yelp
Really excited for the place but that pool table is unforgivable. Told the staff it was leaning harder than DJ Screw and figured they'd throw a coaster or something under there. Came back a month later and nothing has changed. Just get rid of it if you don't respect the game.
google avatar

Yelp
Mislo is one of my favorite bars to brings friends for a chill time. They allow animals and you'll probably make a few new furry friends while having a drink. They serve food in the back which is so nice to have available! The back patio area is my absolute favorite! The cute light at night make the drinks even better. Their happy hour with a shot of whiskey and a can of beer for $5 is so sweet. They also have that deal for a shot of tequila and Tecate. Seriously one of my favorite bars for good fun without all the extra intensity that some bars bring. Certain Friday nights have live music inside. Support your local bars and enjoy the Missouri Lounge!
google avatar

Rebekah T.

Yelp
I used to live down the street from the Misery Lounge, as we affectionately called it. It's a comfy, unpretentious, cozy but somewhat dirty dive bar and I like it like that. Drinks are on the inexpensive side, they have shows here occasionally and it's a fun place to hang out. There is also lots of room for lounging both inside and outside on the patio, which makes it good for groups of people.

Yelp
Covid 19 took away my happiest place on earth. Imagine a place. Not just any place. The place. The only place that doesn't ever let you down. That has a level of consistency you only find with some of the greatest chefs in the world. It's grungy. A little sticky. Dark in some of the best ways possible. An eclectic cast of regulars and bartenders. A youthful handsome devil of a man that owns the bar keeps it just the way it's always been. Couple tips; - don't be an asshole. If you're ordering more than 2 drinks open a tab. - be fucking friendly or I'll kill you. - food in the back is cash only. - and when you're in the patio bring your glass back inside. DONT BE THAT GUY. As the world gets smaller there are farther and fewer places left like this. I'll give my left kidney, right ear, front cortex and my last few good toes to keep this place open.

Yelp
TOTAL COLLEGE SCENE! At first I was a little hesitant to walk up in there with my Katy Perry hot shorts on....but as soon as I got in, it didn't matter what you wore or how you looked, EVERYONE was CHILL and all for a good time! THANK PHUCKIN' GAWD the DJ was playin' the beats! They had the coolest furry, gold seats, a pool table, and in the back, was a backyard bbq! Drinks were fricken reasonable! Crowd was totally mixed. A very comfortable atmosphere! Missouri Lounge is a great spot to kick it in the East Bay! Definitely would come back again! One of the best dive bars I've been to! WOOT WOOT!
google avatar

Juana S.

Yelp
This bar not only is it a cool diverse crowd it also has a grill out in the back full with heat lamps and cabanas. Hoagies are $6.50 they are simply delicious defintly a good combo if you are a beer drinker, Yes I will take a hoagie with that! Kabobs $3.00 LOVE THEM! tender meat and never burnt. They have other different items; melts, chips, potato salad. Service is always fast and friendly they will yell out your name once your order is ready.

Yelp
Getting teary reading the reviews. This is the best bar I have ever been to. The people I met there are always gonna' be in my heart. The outdoor seating and dog friendly atmosphere makes it more like a friends backyard. PBR and Oly are very popular here. Open mic is full of talent. Smoking outdoors and most people smoke American Spirit or ... I recently moved back to Portland and I miss that bar so much. Food was great too.
google avatar

Joshua T.

Yelp
4 stars in dive bar ratings. Reason: food is fantastic, outdoor area, in/out door bar, not fancy, easy parking, real people, and just grungy enough that it's relaxing. Had the nachos and grilled cheese sandwich. Both are perfect, tasty, and goes with beer 100%. Music inside, small tv to catch a game (not ideal for games, but can donn a pinch).
google avatar

Megan P.

Yelp
This really was one of the best bars! So simple but it gave you everything you needed. Please come back!!!!

Yelp
This review is for Saturday 9/8 and is applicable to the bartender and line cook working at the back deck. My co-workers and I decided to come here after work to send off a co-worker who had her last day in the kitchen. To note, I am a hot line cook and was with my 2 other cook sisters. We had just finished an 11 hour shift (slaying that brunch and dinner dragon) and we were ready to have a good time! We wanted to eat AND drink AND dance and Missouri Lounge was the best option. The bartender was really rude. I asked him how he was and he said "I'm here, what can I get you"... oookayyy. I put in my order (nachos with bacon and a hot link, 2 draft beers and 3 shots of Jameson). He had run out of shot glasses and had to run to the main bar to get more. He had such an attitude problem, as if what we were asking him was so inconvenient. I mean, rookie move on your part for not having back ups or your mise all set. Anyhow he gives us our drinks and lets me know he will call out my name once it's ready. I just want to make it clear that Missouri Lounge was crackin'. There were hella people but as far as food orders go I looked over to the line cook's station and she only had 3 tickets. And I shit you not, it took over 30 minutes to get our food. Now I have to say, as a sautee cook with over 3 years of experience in the hot line working for high volume establishments I am quite critical when it comes to observing the timeliness and organization of cooks. For nachos and a hot link and only 3 covers? That should not have taken over 30 minutes. I almost wanted to go back there and tell them I can cook my own food because this shit is whack. When I pick up my food I tell him "Thank you" despite his shitty attitude towards me. And all he has to say is "Yah". Anyhow nachos where gross. Hot link was good. And here is the best part! My bill came out to $45 and I gave a gratuity of $12! I gave about a 25% gratuity --which is generous! I gave them that much because im sure they had a hard day. But I felt like I was robbed. They didn't deserve that gratuity! I can't even call our interaction "service" because of his attitude and that line cook's lack of urgency and integrity in doing her job. They were being so white. Just oozing entitlement and snobbery. I was so offended. As a cook that still works in service I was supremely disappointed. I work a couple of blocks down on San Pablo at a casual fine dining restaurant that does table service. I get that bar employees deal with a whole different set of issues that people that work restaurant jobs don't have to deal with... but seriously I recommend to the bartender and line cook: if you can't hang then get the fuck out. It felt shitty to be treated so badly because we are industry folks and we get how hard it can be. I gave the good gratuity to send out good vibes and to show gratitude because i know how it goes in service. And after this experience I will never go back and I will never recommend this place to others again.
google avatar

Karl B.

Yelp
Only visited once so far. Seems nice, friendly, not pretentious, down to earth. There was a DJ playing some pleasantly non-commercial tunes. The clock above the bar is way off, 10 minutes fast or more. I'll visit again.
google avatar

Adrienne H.

Yelp
I'm only writing this because I hope the owner sees this: Misery Lounge is my favorite place on earth, and means so much to so many people, and every time drive by its closed doors I send up a quick "Pleeeease." I've played my very best games of pool there, surrounded by complete strangers who are cheering me on in various stages of inebriation and resulting friendship (unlike other dive bars where I'm terrified to pick up the cue...) which is very important to me. And we're all counting the days til we get to drink well whiskey and talk about conspiracy theories at a table with 6 people we've never met before and hang out with like 5 dogs at once and smoke way too many cigarettes again. You're gonna have a line out the door when the day comes to reopen!! Thanks for such a special place.

Yelp
DIVE Local dive I'll be honest, if not for The Rare Barrel, I never would have known about Missouri Lounge. Definitely different vibes from the two, but sometimes you don't want to drop a lot on bougie food when a burger will be best. I wouldn't say this is worth going out of the way for. If you're a local, completely different story. I had just left a date at Rare Barrel, and needed some food. While I love Anchalee Thai, we had discussed burgers during the date, and previously walking past Missouri Lounge, I knew they had some. So parked on the street and walked through the divey bar and out to the patio. Ordering is easy; waiting in the patio during this cold summer, with a lot of smokers, not so much. The burger was great - swiss cheese, bacon, a lot of veggies. Great booze soaking burger. I was a member of The Rare Barrel for two years and have only been there a handful of times. So going out of my way for just Missouri Lounge isn't something that comes up. But glad I tried it, would recommend if I was local.

Yelp
My mom & I found this bar maybe 3-4 years ago, on my birthday. We decided to bar hop & find a place that has great drinks , allowed to smoke and my Huey Buey (dog) to be accepted and I must say this is By far my favorite Bar ever . It's a little hole in the wall but it's great and you feel like family . Their pulled pork sandwich is to die for . I always get a Hennessy Side car , sugar rim . And it's made perfectly every time . During COVID , i was very sad that my favorite bar was "temporarily closed" . I'm reading the reviews and they're absolutely right and they're not exaggerating. This place is great . My mom , my dog and I love going . We miss it dearly and should be popping by soon .

Yelp
Ok... so I was sooo sketched out when I first walked into this bar. It's seedy looking, very VERY DIVEY, I was almost surprised that they had glass wear. But to my surprise the place isn't that bad. Cheap drinks, cheap eats, cool crowd, the DJ played good music but he majorly sucked at Transitions. That was really my biggest issue! The DJ! He was such a newb, he would start off with a decent song, wait till everyone started dancing and less minute into it he would jam into a different song! Sometime it would be a completely different genre and tempo, no fading at ALL! He played Al Greene's 'let's get it on' for 30 seconds and transitioned (poorly) to the chorus of Genuwine's 'pony' then the first 30 seconds of Purple rain!!! I mean who does that!? DJ sucks, bathroom is gross, drinks are good and cheap, bartenders are cool, ended up playing a fantastic game of truth or dare with some friends and were joined by a few strangers... which was epic! But, all and all a solid place. Don't be put off by the motif. It's a Dive, and dives are ok... sometimes :)
google avatar

Yelp
The drinks were very good and good deal for your pockets. The burgers were decent but nothing to rave about. I think I really enjoyed my company the most. LOL
google avatar

Aric W.

Yelp
I'm not sure why I havent reviewed it, but I appreciate the Missouri lounge. I dont know why its named that, but if you want indoor, outdoor, non pretentious, be yourself, friendly, local, food, and open every day and better hours than most places this is great. If you had a tour of Berkeley this would be on my list of places to visit. Get a shot and a beer and smoke a cigar or whatever out on the back patio on a sunny day and you will feel like the earth is right again.
google avatar

Varun K.

Yelp
Your average local dive bar but what makes it great is the $5 HH beers and the outdoor patio area in the back. The interior is quite dingy and unappealing but the patio area is great, and you can never go wrong with $5 beers. Outside of the HH times, it's a 2.5 star bar at best. The service is quite slow, and the staff isn't the most friendly. The crowd can also be a mixed bag. I wouldn't ever go here if I didn't live around the corner, but it's a good place to get a couple of late afternoon beers before hopping to another bar
google avatar

Vanessa F.

Yelp
Came here yesterday to celebrate a birthday. We spent our time outside in the beer garden which was nice. It had little netted canopies with heaters inside to keep you warm and the party private. Drinks were really affordable, and the business definitely picked up after 7pm. Enjoyed the $5 whiskey and can o'beer special (PBR). Only wish they'd serve some food or snacks that didn't cost $2.

Yelp
Do not ask to see the cocktail menu or you'll get an eye roll from the female bartender. It's not that type of place and I get it but don't roll your eyes at me. I came here for my first time on a Friday night. Overall, I really like the vibe here. It's a very casual, non pretentious bar with a DJ, 1 pool table, large patio with community tables, burgers, hotdogs and nachos shack outside. It's also a dog friendly bar because I saw a couple of dogs in the patio and I'm guessing smoking is allowed too. It gets pretty packed later into the night and they'll dim the lights to set the mood for dancing around the DJ. It felt like I was at a huge house party at the end of the night. Inside, there's a good amount of seating by the door, bar stools, and cocktail stands by the wall. It's definitely a cool place to chill.

Yelp
Good ol' Missouri. "The welfare of the people shall be the supreme law." Well, this Missouri also includes for the welfare of pooches. There's always a cute little doggie roaming around looking for a pet, or crumbs spilled by some slob. When you're in a state of misery, or (as in my case), on the way to A's games, this is a pretty cool, handy-dandy little spot. Don't let the hipster vibe scare you away. Yes, it looks like my grandma's living room threw up in here. Complete with her old wooden TV (you know the kind that tries to look like furniture), paintings that would make Bob Ross proud (the painting above the bar is the EXACT same painting my parents had in their bedroom), and dust-magnet collectible ceramic bottles (I'm sure there's gotta be a Franklin Mint one worth some bucks). Anyway. Yeah, yeah, it's a typical bar with a pool table and the usual libations (well, one girl in our group about pissed her pants when she discovered they have Magners on tap). I almost pissed my pants when I bit into their yummy pulled pork sandwich (accompanied with some might tasty slaw) and potato salad! Get thee out to the big patio and order up some food from the grill! They have a small variety of meaty sandwiches and plates (pulled pork, bacon wrapped sausage, jerk chicken, etc.). You can get a half or whole order (comes with chips or potato salad). Lemme tell ya, I always joke about going to "Misery" before the games, but I really look forward to snarfing down on some surprisingly good food, and throwing a few scraps to the roaming pooches. Except for hipsters, it feels almost like a visit to grandma's house.

Yelp
Good place. Hope it opens again. I was a little harsh before about my emotional support dog.

Yelp
I've been here a few times for a casual hangout with friends. There are always people here - doesn't matter what time of day or what day of the week. I like how it's more of a local place and has a relaxed atmosphere. It's a nice place to go after work and unwind without the hustle and bustle of other upscale bars. They also allow dogs here! The inside of the bar isn't that big - they have a pool table and some old video games. The DJ is pretty good and they also have live performances here sometimes. They have food in the patio area and additional seating with heat lamps for larger parties. The drinks are okay - the cocktails aren't that strong but they always have a selection of beer to choose from. I agree that the bartenders can be rude, especially the woman who works out in the patio. I just try to ignore it and enjoy my time there.

Yelp
Great Happy Hour place with stiff drinks (cocktails plus beer options), outdoor seating, food, and space to lounge. Wednesday nights are real fun = Open-Mic Night!

Yelp
I didn't realize I wrote this under the listing for the Yelp Elite event that they held here, instead of the venue itself! Anyways, here it is, pretty much word-for-word what I wrote before because it pertains to the Missouri Lounge 100%! Came here for a Yelp Elite event. Parking isn't a problem, the staff is great, and their tacos are tasty! I didn't get to try any of their drinks except for the little sampler they had going around because I was being a responsible driver, but it was pretty good. There's an inside area with the bar and some seating areas and an outdoor patio that's partially covered. In the patio area, they have a grill where they serve up some awesome tacos. Instead of your usual two tortilla tacos, they use one larger tortilla, throw it on the grill so it's got some crunch to it, while still being pliable. They stuff it with meat (chicken, carne asada, carnitas, or vegetarian with beans and cheese) and pile on the corresponding sauce (each meat option comes with a different condiment). There's four containers of salsas and onions, etc. to add some extra flavor, too. Since I love a good meat:carb ratio and am huge on textural differences, I was a big fan of these tacos! Next time, though, maybe I'll add some hot sauce. We each got one free for this event, but even for their normal price of $2, it's not a bad deal! To be honest, I'm not in the area often and even more rarely go to dive bars, but if I were out with friends and we were looking for something to do, I might suggest this place! I'm not sure what the usual crowd is though, but I did see a handful of pretty chill and friendly bikers and there was also an older guy hanging out by himself in one of the corners (creepy much? I try not to judge...). Oh yeah, I guess they allow dogs here, too!

Yelp
Believe it when people say this is a dive bar :) So diverse in ALL ways. big thumbs up. Love the janky outdoor patio. It's hoppin' at 5pm on a sunny Sunday. Bring your own food, if you'd like. and apparently your own pot.

Yelp
Dive bar with some good food out back. Parking is available and have not had it were I couldn't park nearby. They have PBR, Olympia and the standard booze selection you'd expect. Outside in the back they had some food cooking. Tried it out and it was good. I was at this point a bit sloshed due to having the special, a PBR and shot of whiskey. Dog friendly too!

Yelp
My new favorite bar in the east bay. Realizing we were way under dressed for Kitty's , we decided to drive down San Pablo and hit up the first dive bar we saw. The lights from the huge outdoor patio caught my eye as I drove past so we flipped a bitch and pulled in. This place did not disappoint. (2 shots of Jim Beam with a Miller High Life) x 2 for $17!!! [Yes Juicy, this joint called for such a drink ... I also needed liquid courage]. They had a drink special for whiskey and can o' beer for $5 each ... that was for round 2. The place was a like a big frat party ... I think we were the only Asians. Since I hadn't eaten yet, the chicken kabob and the sausage wrapped in bacon hit the spot ... though they would have tickled me even if I'd just had a 12 course meal. Service is quick, patrons are friendly, I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Who doesn't like Missouri lounge! You want divey, take a dip, you want food, they're cooking, you want drink specials, a shot and a beer are yours for a decent price. I like the idea that dogs can come and kick it too. The place always has different kinds of people it's really a Berkeley kind of establishment. There's a pool table inside, it's somewhat dimly lit and there's a bar but the outside area is the place to be. There's always a good ratio of men/women/others and it's not full of testosterone and bro-y. I think I like this place because everyone is just there to chill I never hear people being rambunctious or talking about too much politics. It's a great place for a group, a great place for a date if your date isn't a sophisticated snob. I give this place 5 stars, give this place a shot...and a beer if you've never been.

Yelp
Missouri Lounge isn't just a bar, it's a grill in the evenings too. that said, there's seating in the main bar and lots of seats in the rear where the grill is located. music: country rock drink: lagunista fusion(5) strong brew with a lot of body, no bitterness, lagunista has another hit! on draught: -9ish number of draughts, need to look at handles to see what's available, board's out of date. -bottled beers $3-$5 -happy hour wells (3) -knowledgable bartender makes missouri a keeper. -pool table and video games available.

Yelp
This is a great dive bar in the factory district of Berkeley. The crowd is diverse with workers, local folks, and people from other parts of the East Bay. There's an outdoor area to drink and smoke, plus the bartenders are not rude yet will get your drinks to you in a timely manner. I'll come here again after work anytime of the week!

Yelp
Four stars as it is an unashamedly divey dive bar that revels in its' diveyness. Did I mention it's a bit of a dive? That being said I like dive bars and this one is pretty good. You can get some eats at the grill to go with your can of Oly or PBR. Patio out back where apparently it's ok to smoke whatever you want. A mixed crowd so don't worry you will fit right in.

Yelp
Came here alone one night after a holiday weekend and danced for a couple hours, met people and stayed longer than expected. After accidentally brushing by a security guard while dancing who displayed an unfavorable over-reaction, I brushed the incident off as an isolated one because I was having fun with my newfound friends... and maybe he was having a terrible day? Who knows. At first the bar 'situation', concerning coverage + customer service seemed to be alright... until I went to the bar for approx the 6th time and was faced with speaking to a particularly mean and hostile blonde-freckled bartender. What threw me off is looked like she could've been so nice... so that's what I expected... until she opened her mouth and out came a offensive bark like you'd speak to someone that wasn't at your workplace (maybe like how'd you speak to someone who had pooped in your cereal? Hard to find a good comparison to the tone and words of such a 'Trump on Twitter' reminiscent sounding person... oh wait, I guess I just did). No one likes to be barked at, it's super unwelcoming, uncalled for, and frankly immature + unprofessional. I had observed her speaking to all the customers like she didn't want them there but it didn't become my business to protect other people until she spoke to me that way. It was rather random and I was so taken aback that I just replied "Do you talk to all your customers this way?" That's when she called the security guard to escort me out of the establishment, having her other bartender close me out for no apparent reason, ironically the nice lady who had been helping me all night aside from that one time (for some reason The Dictator was unable to finish the job- even more weird). I asked the male security guard with long hair (or manager, possibly?) who approached me to do the honor, why exactly I was being kicked out, he said, "I don't know I'm just doing my job". Hm interesting. No one questioning the dictator. Looked to me like a typical, poorly managed bar, an anything-goes sort of place. I guess that's what they settled for. Oh well. To add to this dramatic story; earlier when on the dance floor, I accidentally bumped into a security guard seated in front of the dj booth (as I mentioned earlier), near the inside of the door. He didn't say something to me, or glance at me or ask me a question- he YELLED at me. Straight up yelled. It was insane. Between little miss sunshine (Nora) and the likelihood of being verbally abused by others who work there... I'm good. This review is the result of my consultation with a fellow friend whose been a Yelp Elite for like a bazillion years on how to respond to such negativity. BOTTOM LINE: Spare yourself the despair and possible let down by giving away your hard earned money to a true dive bar who cares about the customer experience such as The Avenue (Oakland), or my favorite Kingfish Pub (free popcorn say whatttt?!)... where they treat you like more than a human- maybe even a customer. :)

Yelp
Impossible burger!!!!!!!! Well I've basically had everything without meat here and everything is so tasty. Fair priced drinks and friendly bartenders. Outside patio allows dogs and smoking. New fave place!
