Super cute atmosphere, they have a big outside patio. Extremely nice and caring staff! Food was very delicious, steak perfectly cooked. Drinks looked amazing, didn't order one but need to go back to try 😇

Im not a huge fan of sitting in a parking lot for dinner. I prefer their beautiful dining room. We just had apps and drinks and they were all very good. The drinks were too sweet for me though. My main complaint is that it took at least 10-15 min each time to get a drink. We even got our food before drinks came out. I think they just have too many tables in the parking lot and not a big enough bar or enough bartenders to handle all the drink orders.

A fabulous lunch with a friend I haven't seen in years. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the beautiful day. They have umbrellas to block sun if you want to be outside but also in shade or partial shade. I had the salmon (gluten-free) and my friend had the hamburger with a lettuce wrap instead of a bun. Both were delicious! Our server was friendly and attentive. It was the perfect location for a long, relaxing lunch. And if you are there after the sun goes down, the lights are gorgeous and the heaters keep everyone comfortable. The only issue was parking. Valet parking wasn't available for lunch and street parking was crowded. We ended up parking several blocks away and walking. But it was worth it!

Cool place. Got the Country fair pickles, Calamari salad, Shrimp Oreganata, while sipping on a Cuban Holiday. My favorite was the county fair pickles, yummy! Thinly sliced, crunchy, & the falvorful dipping sauce that was savory & slightly tangy. The calamari salad wasn't for me at all and I'm not a picky eater. It was pretty bitter, too grassy & difficult to eat and just too "earthy" (luckily my friend liked it and ate it all). Shrimp Oreganata was tasty; soft pasta, juicy shrimp, good flavor & very mild spicy (not crazy about the cruncy topping). The Cuban Holiday was yummy, a little sour & savory with a noticable mint flavor. It's a nice little place with comfy seating inside & interesting decorations. It's got a cool atmosphere, nice place to go with friends to eat, sip on a drink and hang out.

A before times find, discovered this when looking for a nice restaurant to impress the parents. They loved the retro aesthetic and cocktail selection. We got the delicious and oh-so-plentiful Sunday Supper: a multi-course meal featuring fried chicken as it’s main accompanied by choice of salad, sides and dessert enough for four!

Came here in a group and a lot of the dishes I saw looked very good. I got the fried cheese curds and the Brussel sprouts, both were exactly what I expected in the best way!

The atmosphere is very nice. Half of the place is very intimate and the other half is lounge-ish. The drinks are a bit over priced, but they are well made. I had the Duck and Pork chorizo bolognese with mozzarella, and it was amazing I would definitely eat it again.

Wonderful food and cocktails. Good variety of dishes from pasta to burgers to salad. Highly recommend the fried cheese!

*Say it Ain't so Mister O's?* 5 years ago I was the first to review this beautiful & original restaurant with a cool mid-century vibe, nestled on Ventura Blvd in Studio City. I enjoyed myself so much, I returned a few more times through the years...and once even had the pleasure & privilege of dining with Mister O himself. I recommended Mister O's to lots of friends & family and they all enjoyed their dining experiences. Unfortunately, Mister O's is closing its doors to their uniquely inspired restaurant/bar/lounge. The San Fernando Valley and LA just lost a true gem and I'm sad to see them go because they had one the best Burgers & Sweet Potato Fries in LA...the best Brussel Sprouts...and Kale Salad anywhere. I hope one day they decide to comeback strong with something else because the LA restaurant scene needed a joint and jaunt like this.

I was here this event for a small work reunion and it was enjoyable. We set outside in the parking lot turned patio. There were probably still like 5-6 spots available to park in, but they were tight. We were the only people sitting outside which made sense as it is a Monday evening. Most of my group got drinks such as a Dirty Martini and Mister Old Fashioned (Angel's Envy Bourbon, Candy Cap Mushroom, Brown Butter, Demerara, and Bitters) One person got the Bavarian Pretzel (Fresh Bavarian Pretzel, Pickled Jalapeño Cheddar dip and Mustard). I tried some of this and it was quite tasty. Service was efficient as it was quiet and the server was quick with orders. *Parking Tip- If you cannot find space in the small lot, park in the residential above the restaurant.

Mia and Brian are the best!!! Xoxo Service was amazing and Mia was very personable. The manager Brian was extremely helpful and attentive. 10/10 would recommend for large groups!

First went to Mister O's in December 2018. Decor was great, food was good but little more. This week, a long-time friend from Studio City returned from Connecticut and wanted to dine on Ventura Boulevard. My memory of the decor here led me to suggest going to Mister O's, despite that the food was little more than average. I don't know what happened between then and now--other than Covid--but we had one of the best meals we have ever had in Los Angeles. It started with the waitperson, Mia, who was totally charming and without a scintilla of effort. She welcomed us as if we were her long-lost friends. We ordered drinks, brussel sprouts, flatbread, chinese chicken salad, and a fried chicken burger. Each of these were the best we have ever had, anywhere. Mia came to check on us often, not to interrupt, not to sell another round of drinks, not to work the tip. The manager came and checked on us and when we told him how fantastic everything was, he was genuinely thrilled to hear this. Nothing--nothing--seemed fake; he was especially happy to hear how wonderful we found Mia to be. This was without a doubt the best meal I've had in Los Angeles in the past ten years. The drinks were phenomenal, the food sublime, Mia better than a combination of all of it. If you don't have a good meal and experience here, then you should've stayed home that night, because this is what dining out should be!

Tasty food, attentive service, nice casual ambience, reasonable prices & portions. It's just the right space between lighting (not too dark, yet not too bright), tunes aren't overbearing. (I don't have to yell at my friends to chat.) I dig the lounge & lobby modernist vibe. Simply put: fun place with fun food & people, with outstanding service. The staff is attentive, but not overbearing. I look forward to coming again.

Had my bridal shower here on a Saturday afternoon. It's a retro yet modern lounge with an outdoor patio, couch sitting area, and booths. Each of our guests enjoyed their entrees and the cocktails were delicious too! They had vegan friendly entrees and appetizers which was great as one of our guests was vegan. The staff was very kind and attentive and I would certainly return next time I am in the area. Valet is available for parking. Highly recommend!

Food was very tasty. The flavors and spices were appealing. Nice setting with plenty of seating.

Very good place for a large group who needs a very spacious outdoor patio to gather. They have turned their parking lot into a very nice ambient eating area with plenty of light and heaters. Our server Paula was super nice and also they had a special bourbon tasting station set up, how cool! Some of the tables were bench seating but our table did have individual seats which was nice. The only downside is that parking is either on a very busy street or near residential but I wouldn't say it's impossible, just a little trek. Food was great, my salmon was cooked perfectly and the deep fried pickles were hot and fresh. I'd come back to try their brunch. Also the outdoor space is dog friendly and they'll even bring out a water bowl for your dog!! Awesome :)

We really like Mister O's. We always sit on the patio it's really great for larger parties. Fantastic drinks and we love the burger and Chinese chicken salad! I also got the chicken taquitos which were solid! Love that they use high quality ingredients.

I might give this place another chance, but it will be a while. We started with the pizza flat bread, which was not worth it. I had the $20 burger, which came with fries (atleast), but it lacked luster. Would think ordering a $20 burger they would ask how you wanted it cooked, but nope. 2 small patties vs a nice size burger. The wife had the poke bowl, which looked ok, and she seemed to like it. Wines were ok. We sat outside in the parking lot, which is tables in the parking lot with a few lights strung up and some heaters. Seems like everyone else on this strip of Ventura has put money into their outdoor seating. Not this place. I suggest going to Laurel Tavern just a door or two away. Much better food and experience.

Very pleasant experience having drinks and appetizers with friends outsides. They turned their spacious parking lot into a fun outdoor patio, so parking is a challenge, but I loved being able to sit outside. I had the Figaro Fiero drink, which is their summer spritzer. I love a good spritz! Tasty appetizers here. I enjoyed the county fair pickles and appreciated that they were thinly sliced. I also enjoyed the fried mozzarella cheese curds. Excellent and friendly service. I would definitely return. Their entire menu looks delicious and they have weekend brunch too.

Great place to stop in for a drink and some snacks!! The vibes are fantastic and the bar is fully loaded. Definitely the spot for craft cocktails. Service was super friendly and they checked on us frequently! 10/10 would recommend

Rarely does a restaurant do cocktails this good. And rarely does a cocktail bar makes food that tastes this good. But Mister O's does both - and looks good doing it. I can't speak to how Mister O's is at night because I came here for a late lunch on a Saturday. It was pretty empty which meant it was easy to get a seat and we had great service. We sat on the street patio - not in the parking lot. The brussel sprouts are crazy yummy. The Bulkogi skewers are really tasty - but a little on the small side. I'd recommend getting your own. We also shared the Chinese chicken salad which was also above average (but not that special). The cocktails are just out of this world. Of course it's ridiculous to pay $16 for a cocktail but they were strong and pretty good size. All in all I highly recommend this for lunch or dinner but I'm not sure it would have a great cocktail lounge vibe.

I cannot even imagine what has taken me so long to finally check out this AMAZING restaurant. We noticed the often full outdoor space several times this summer but we always had plans elsewhere. We finally stopped just driving past and went in! I have no idea what it is in particular about this place, it just has a vibe. Before our drinks or food even arrived I just felt at home. Drinks: OMG! The drinks here are definitely in the mixology category. Do not miss the G Wagon. It's out of this world. Eats: What every foodie in LA is always looking for - innovative flavor combinations you wouldn't dream up on your own. There are easily sorted options foe vegan and gluten free, if your preferences/needs lean in those directions. DO. NOT. SKIP the Brussel Sprouts. We will be back here many times. Parking: this neighborhood is a bit tricky but there are plenty of valet's. Plan ahead or let them do the work. Definitely get here sooner than later! The indoor space is elegantly appointed but limited. If outdoor dining goes away, I predict it may get tricky to get a reservation here. My hope sincerely is LA will keep allowing outdoor spaces because we have the best weather. Mister O's is absolutely a DO NOT MISS of LA dining. Triple Bonus Points: the food looks as amazing when it arrives as it does in the photo on the menu.

Decided to try a new spot and so glad we did! They were pretty full on a Saturday evening however as walk-ins at 8p we were still seated immediately. The outdoor patio is massive with tons of tables. The cocktails are fantastic! I can personally say the blue "weird science" drink is a favorite! We split fried pickles which were delicious. Not that I was expecting the tuna poke to be bad, but I certainly was surprised with just how good it was. So full of flavor and incredibly fresh tuna! My partner regretted not ordering it for themself. Friendly service and fun decor & vibe all around!

Outstanding! We were looking for somewhere different to try and came across Mister O's on OpenTable. We sat at the bar and ordered drinks, apps, and dinner. The cocktails were creative and delicious and the food was really good. Mister O's is more bar-forward (bar/restaurant vs restaurant/bar), but don't get me wrong, the food is great too. The cocktails are some of the best I have had at a California bar. The energy in the restaurant was good. One thing I noticed was that as employees left (shift ended) they would go say goodbye to their co-workers and give them hugs. That great work culture transfers into a great dining experience. If you want to try something new give this place a try.

Mister O's is the restaurant is the perfect spot for lunch or dinner. It's cozy but has a lot of character. To compliment the old diner theme, we ordered the classic burger and onion rings, and it was delicious! They have a reasonable price point and generous serving too!

We like to stay in the Studio City area whenever we're in LA and we always walk down Ventura for food or coffee. On several visits, we kept saying, "We're going to visit Mister O's one of these days." Well, today was the day! * Reservations can be made through Open Table. I do recommend it because this place is busy on the weekends. * Valet parking is available for $7. * If you can find off street parking, kudos to you! The dining area is in their parking lot and the tables are socially distant. They do have heat lamps for every table. There were some groups towards the back, but they kept in their bubble. This place is good for groups. This was the first time we were socializing with friends, like ever, since we got the vax. It was nice to do this for a change and feel good about it. Starting off with cocktails: My first one was the Forbidden Garnet, followed by a Space Cadet. Appetizers: * Fried pickles were a little too crunchy for me. I heard about the pickles, but they were okay. I probably wouldn't order it again. * Buffalo Cauliflower: That was the winner for me. Not too much heat, but more flavor. I would definitely have this one again. Kind of Main Course: OK, we weren't that hungry, so I ordered a quesadilla. I liked the green salsa that accompanied it. I will admit, the Taquitos was much better. I would order the Taquitos again. Service was great. I would go back for cocktails and appetizers. I love the vibe of the bar inside (no indoor seating at the time of our visit, but if you have to use the restroom, you will see it).

Second time at Mister O's and it is PHENOMENAL! A menu with super yummy nibbles and amazingly friendly servers (looking at you Mia!) this place is quickly becoming a local fav. It has a retro vibe in terms of decor and getting a reservation is easy. Trust me... give it a try!! (You are welcome!!)

The food was AMAZING! The gooseberry that was in my shrimp orgeganta was a delightful sweet tomato taste that I didn't know a pasta needed. I loved everything about this restaurant the vibe and the lounge table areas. Super comfortable, great taste of background music. I highly recommend this spot! If your thinking about going here just go.

Driven by here countless times thinking someday I'll check this place out. My husband pulled the trigger and made a reservation on a Friday evening. They have turned their parking lot into and expansive outdoor patio with lots of picnic tables and tables and chairs along with heaters for every table. The place was packed and it was great to see people out and enjoying themselves. Covid protocol in place here and servers wear masks, face shields and gloves. We were very intrigued by the menu, particularly their cocktail menu. So many innovative cocktails with great ingredients and excellent spirits. Impressed they are serving one of my favorite bourbons, Angel's Flight. Dare I say we were tipsy because we tried more than a few drinks. I had the Volare and husband had The Mister Old Fashioned. The old fashioned came with a huge chunk of ice that looked to be chipped off with an ice pick. Old school style and it was so elegant. Both drinks were exceptionally hand crafted. I'm glad we came here hungry because we ordered a lot of food. We started with the Panko crusted dill pickles that were outstanding. We had the Alaskan halibut with a wonderful Yuzu flavor that paired really well with the Trefethen dry Riesling. We also had the duck and pork chorizo bolognese that was excellent. It was the last dish that came and I though I might be too full to eat pasta, but this dish was very light while being very flavorful. We paired this with a Trefethen red blend. We were excited to see Trefethen wines on their menu as we've been to the Napa winery and have ordered wines for home delivery. At $12 a glass it's a great bargain. We also had the brussels sprouts and the tempura fried asparagus. Both dishes were great. Portion are the perfect size. I recommend ordered all dishes to be shared. They were very busy and seemed adequately staffed. Everyone was nice and helpful. We had staggered all the dishes to come out separately and the only thing I would have liked to seen happen was bringing the wine with the entrees at the same time. As it was, we waited for several minutes before getting both the white with the fish and the red with the pasta. Not worth taking off a star, just simply a notation. Service was excellent otherwise. We will definitely come back soon and bring friends. I am excited to see more of the interior. I adore the mid century modern vibe and decor. The ladies room was fabulously stylish and has the coolest tile on the walls. So chic!

We've wanted to go here for a while and finally made it! We were so impressed. The service was wonderful everyone was very kind. The ambiance is great, casual and cool. Drinks are delicious! The corn cocktail and mushroom cap old fashioned, and gimme the loot are awesome. The only thing is it was my birthday so I thought maybe since we made the reservation to celebrate that they may have done something but regardless service was excellent! Can't wait to go back again and again!

What a fantastic place! I was pleasantly surprised at their drink menu, so many yummy options to try it took us about 10 minutes just to figure out what drinks to order! The food was spot on as well. Nice spacious outdoor dining area with heat lamps, nice ambiance. Can accommodate larger parties(reservations or call ahead suggested). 100% recommend this restaurant!

Went to Mister O's for a birthday celebration and we had the best time! Parking lot was perfect for our party, plenty of table seating but also room to stand and mingle. The food was great and our server Kat N went above and beyond!! Thank you Kat!!

Amazing selection of cocktails. All are very tasty and ecstatic. Purple Haze was a perfect combination of sweet and sour with an interesting aftertaste. The Tuna Poke is a must try.My favourite in the menu.

Service was really good. The appetizers were ok but the drinks is where it's at. They are not stingy on the alcohol, let me tell you. The fried pickles were good but if they used dill pickles they would be amazing. Ijs, coming from a pickle guy, lol. The fried cheese i wouldn't buy again, gets cold fast and when its cold its nasty. Nice ambiance in this place don't pass it up.

Such a great place to come for any and all occasions!! I decided to have a mini birthday celebration (covid friendly) and Chad who is the manager was incredibly helpful throughout all of my annoying questions. The service was unbelievable and so sweet!! They kept coming around to make sure if we needed food or drinks. All of the food and drinks were perfect!! I can honestly same this place is such a gem. You come for the food and drinks then stay for the ambiance and chill vibes

Great food. Great drinks. Great ambiance. The staff was really friendly and even though it was last call, they did not make us feel rushed. We had the Caesar salad, shrimp pasta, and cheeseburger. Amazing! Love this place. Atmosphere AND food. Yaaasssssssss We came here for a birthday and rehearsal dinner. 20 people. It was Stunning!! We had the back area with fairy lights in the trees and fun music. Even though there were others around we felt like we had our own area. It was perfect and everyone loved it so much they wished they had organized the wedding reception here!! We sat outside with heaters which were beyond amazingly hot. Most importantly, which can make or break an event/night, the service was lovely. We had Alex and she was so attentive and didn't miss a beat. We did drink tickets and Alex was on it! We ended up with two bills... Alex was on it! We made our own select item menus and Alex was on it! Not to mention Chad (below) printed out copies in case we needed them! WOW. Beyond xoxo I booked in advance via email and worked with Chad (DOO) and the team who absolutely made everything ten times better!! I can't say enough about Chad! Brilliant. So great to work with and so accommodating. Mind blown before we even arrived. Parking was either street if lucky (I was!) or valet - and they take credit card! Which made everyone happy. To top it off- the food was fabulous! Would come here in a heartbeat again, especially for an organized party or event.

Good food, great service. Ambiance okay. Parking is awful. They normally have valet, but the restaurant staff told me the valet didn't show up that day. Wish they would have a signage or something to help us so we don't drive circles and late for our reservations.

Some friends who have dined here before suggested that we eat at Mister O's, and we were glad they did. There were six of us in our party. We dined outdoors on their converted parking lot. The tables were well-spaced and thoroughly cleaned between dinner parties. We began by ordering some of their special cocktails. The G-Wagon, Cuban Holiday, and Hot August Nights were especially tasty. For appetizers we had two orders of their fried pickles, two orders of roasted Brussels sprouts, and one chicken quesadilla. All were large portions and delicious. When it came time to order entrees, we were so full from eating appetizers that each couple chose to split one. We tried the tuna poke, Moroccan shrimp, and Alaskan halibut. Each was prepared perfectly. The six of us shared one key lime cheesecake for dessert. This was the only dish that was ordinary. The graham cracker crust was soggy, leading me to believe that it had been sitting for many hours. Service was superb. The only problem was their valet parking. They lost one of our cars, necessitating a 20 minute wait. The line to get cars grew to 15 people, while the valets ran around without direction. The restaurant needs a professional, reliable valet service. We'll definitely be back for the food and drinks, but will either walk to the restaurant or find a place to park on the street.

This is a great addition to the neighborhood. Great variety of drinks and the food is tasty! Super cute decor inside and lot's of outdoor seating options as well with ample heating lamps. Will be returning!

Such a cute spot on Ventura ! Total Palm Springs vibes. Huge outdoor area however outdoor is more casual chill vibes good for groups. Inside is very cute, chic and more of a date night vibe. The drinks were super delicious! Forgot the name of mine but it had mezcal. Food was so yummy as well. I totally felt like we were in a Palm Springs hotels!

We drove by this place and was instantly attracted to the ambiance. We had originally planned dinner elsewhere down the street, but when that place looked disappointing, we got back in the car, turned around, and headed back to Mister O's. We were so glad we did! We got a great table outside, and the vibe was great: fun, casual, a nice mix of families, friends, coworkers hanging out after work. Our server was awesome: friendly, efficient, and never forgot about us even though it looked like she was waiting on 75% of the tables there. The drinks were really good. The menu was a bit limited, but we made due and just got a few small plates to share which turned out great! It felt quintessentially SoCal in the 70s.

Must try the pickles!!! Omg! Food was fabulous and the jade drink was a fave. Friendly and professional service. Outdoor seating with umbrellas. Saturday's & Sunday's there is a breakfast menu from 12-5 as well. Will have to try the breakfast items next time.

Just came back and am in shock. 2 sliders, 1 beer, 1 tiny "pretzel" , vegan burger and fries ----59!!!! are they kidding? I am STILL so pissed off. My friend and I were starving so we stopped at this place that looked chill. Music was good. I asked for a paper menu and they said it wasn't really good, try the QR code...which I didn't want to do. So I figured how expensive could a veggie burger with fries be ? 15 maybe? I was cool with that, even though that is a little expensive. I asked for a veggie burger and they gave me a vegan burger. Okay. Not exactly what I wanted. Well the Service was fine so it wasn't that. What a complete waste of money --- $25 for this burger and fries? That wasn't so big and just had the burger a slice of cheese and a bun? In this day and age? My friend got 2 TINY sliders 2x2 square, that was 12!!!!!!!!! It was just okay. OUTRAGOUS!!!! I hope this helps others. I'm SURE LAUREL TAVERN would have been more fun and less expense. I hope the owners of this place see this review.

I drove all the way to Studio City after work from DTLA to meet a friend for dinner at Mister O's. Trust me, it was worthwhile to deal with the bad traffic. My dinner was delicious. I love Brussels sprouts so much that is my staple dish I order in most restaurants I go and let me tell you that I have tasted the most amazing Brussels sprouts salad. It's a combination of flavor, the sweet potatoes give a special touch. This is definitely a must try. We also ordered the salmon with quinoa simply delicious and the Truffled Mushroom Fusilli Pasta. The last one is my friend's favorite one, it was a little heavy for my stomach but it tasted really goo. We shared the brownie for dessert and we both devoured it all. In a summary , we enjoyed our dinner and I'm looking forward to drive all the way to Studio City again, again and again ..... They have valet parking.

I called Peter tonight after our so great experience last night (UNDERSTATEMENT of 2021) and he was TRYING to be sympathetic to our deplorable dining experience last night. He offered a gift card for an entree with dessert left under my name. The fact of the matter is I would probably never dine here again. I get the Covid stuff and I am sympathetic and beyond. What else can I say??!

Recommended by friends who live nearby, and I truly loved it. Great outdoor setting, attentive service that didn't hover too much. Everything was delicious across the board, without exception. The cocktails were fantastic. The prices reasonable.

My overall dining experience at Mr. O's was absolutely wonderful! From the moment I booked a rsvp for 3 at 7pm on the "Open Table" app site, to the end where I received my car from the valet; every staff member was highly attentive, happy, and very accommodating!!! ROMERO, our server, was beyond AMAZING! This man was ON THE BALL! He was so mindful and I just love his whole demeanor! He was SUPER ORGANIZED and I can tell he takes his job very seriously and he cares for his customers! Please give that man a raise or something! Honestly, EVERY SINGLE STAFF MEMBER AT MR. O'S WAS JUST BEYOND KIND AND HELPFUL!!!!! It's been quite some time where I went to a restaurant and received customer service like this! Whomever oversees the hiring, they did a darn great job at choosing the right employees for this establishment! Jade :-)

The chicken tacos were great! Superb service! Love the house margarita - yum! We were seated outside - very nice!
