Denver’s Best Brunch Restaurants | Eater Denver

"An airy subtropical vibe makes brunch at this modern Mexican joint feel like a mini-vacation — and a round of prickly pear margaritas or ginger-pear aguas frescas doesn’t hurt either. Pair those thirst quenchers with beef birria hash; horchata French toast; or breakfast tacos stuffed with eggs, bacon, habanero cheese whiz, potatoes, beans, and salsa verde to complete the easy-breezy picture." - Ruth Tobias

This place is AMAZING! The elite corn ribs were the best part of the meal but everything was a 10/10. My toddler ordered chicken tenders and even those were delicious. We spent a lot due to ordering 4 alcoholic drinks but other than that the price is reasonable. It’s also a plus that the Wash Park location is in a nice area and the inside of the restaurant is beautifully decorated.

Google
The Wash Park location of Mister Oso delivers exceptional food and a spacious atmosphere to spend time with friends and family. The service was prompt, friendly, and easygoing. The churros are delicious, especially when dipped in the brown butter sauce. The meat on the carne asada tacos was a bit tough, but still flavorful. The barria tacos were the highlight and the consommé took them to next level. The RiNo location is good, but has a cramped atmosphere in my opinion, so I’d choose this spot.

Google
Birria tacos were tasty but we didn’t like their coconut shrimp. Wish their HH menu had more items on it and wasn’t as limited. The food is alright but a bit overpriced.

Google
After hearing about this place for years, I finally came in for lunch and it didn’t disappoint. I highly recommend the coconut rice, crispy broccolini, birria tacos and churros for dessert! The service and atmosphere were also great. Will definitely be coming back!

Google
Food was good, but I’ve had better for cheaper in the Denver area. The service was not great, the waiter was most concerned with taking plates off the table than asking us if we needed anything. He tried to take plates off the table 4x when people were still eating, at one moment I had a fork in my hand with food on it. It was wild!! Not sure if I’d come back again, all of the appetizers were really good though. The guac, queso, and coconut rice were great. The tacos were not too special, especially at this price point.

Google
came here with a friend for restaurant week and it was fine! drinks were overpriced, $15 cocktails that were mostly ice. not sure why they don’t chill their glasses if a cocktail is $15. Got a decent pour of Prosecco but that was $13 for Costco Prosecco. I lived across the street from Mr Oso and it’s been successful so I thought it would have been good. we did restaurant week, me and friend and it was still over $150. Empanadas and the birria were fine. The ice cream was laughable, it was the same portion of food you give a one week old baby. All the food is forgettable. On the plus side it was clean! there is a hidden tip in the bill already so don’t tip. make sure you read your receipt. For that much money, we better be eating at one of the best restaurants in Chicago. Oh wait… we’re in the Speer neighborhood of Denver with the closest landmark being a high school and a cheap liquor store. Not quite NYC but NYC prices for sure. Service was good and the place is cute, this is a good place if you want an Instagram with a friend. Tourist spot for sure, find a taqueria if you want real food.

Google
This is such a cute little restaurant. The food was good, though a bit salty. The standout dish was the smoked potatoes—they had an amazing flavor. The smoked brisket burrito was just okay; the meat was tender but lacked depth of flavor, and I wish it had more spice. Also, the queso could have been thicker. The Spicy Bear Salad was delicious and well-balanced, though the greens were just basic romaine. Customer service was decent—young staff with a laid-back vibe.

Google
Fantastic. I love trying unique and fun restaurants and this is certainly one that is amazing. The food tastes amazing and there are so many options. Even with dietary restrictions within my dinner party there were a lot of items to choose from. The restaurant has a great vibe to it. This was such a wonderful place to have an office meet and greet. Would highly recommend and will stop by the next time I am in the area. The staff is amazing....

Yelp
One of the best dinners in denver! Strong margaritas and the tacos are 10/10! Try the queso and guac as well. Coconut rice is delicious! Side note: bring back the shrimp tacos! Would be 6 stars if you did!!!

Yelp
*CELIAC / GLUTEN FREE REVIEW knowledgeable staff and able to make substitutions (corn tortillas) as needed to make GF. There is a shared fryer, so beware of that - staff can tell you everything that is fried. There is a possibility for CC with the tortillas - but they said they can take care of allergies in the kitchen. I came for happy hour and got the frozen blueberry froze and tried my friends frozen strawberry margarita, both were good! However, in my opinion, the birria tacos were a little disappointing. My friend loved hers so maybe it was just me :/ really cool atmosphere, but overall I didn't love it.

Yelp
Lots of seating but all tables are tightly packed. It was soooooo loud and hard to hear my friend. Small guac was really tasty. Way more chips than the tiny bowl of guac Molo (coconut braised pork shoulder) had 3 flour tortillas and you put your own portion of meat in. It was not bad, you couldn't taste the coconut which was good for me. I'd try something else next time, it didn't have as much flavor as I'd like Short rib Birria had 2 tacos. It was really good esp with the melted cheese. Good flavor Those 3 orders were good for 2 women if you eat really slowly and wait until your body tells you you're comfortably full. At first I was worried it wouldn't be enough but it was aiight portion. $27 with tip/tax Note they already include 20% on your bill!!! Don't need to add addtl tip unless you want to top off the 20. It's tricky, a lot of ppl don't notice it! Not a fan of that.

Yelp
Huge fan of Senor Bear and a friend lives across the street from the wash park Mr Oso so I figured I'd check it out for brunch before a pool day. We made a reservation for Saturday at 10am though I don't think it was necessary as we were some of the only people there. Our server was great, very attentive and helpful with what to order, and kept the bottomless flowing. Really enjoyed my mojo tacos. Overall I'd definitely go back!

Yelp
Date night here was fantastic! Relaxed atmosphere, urban setting, simple menu. Food was unique and outstanding. Flavors worked well together. Drinks were smooth, not overly sweet and strong. All menu items are intended to share which worked really well. We got the guac, nachos and lamb barbacoa tacos. As well as, the house margarita, Paloma and mango passionfruit margarita. Service was also attentive, not overwhelming and quick!
google avatar

Yelp
I always forget about this place but every time I go I'm so impressed. We went during happy hour and got the nachos + Gordita crunch then we split the birria tacos and brussel sprouts salad which were fire! Salad is huge and good to share, though I do wish you could mix and match tacos. Margs are amazing and it as such a vibe in there for cinco de mayo, the had a DJ for a Monday night!
google avatar

Nancy T.

Yelp
The birria tacos were actually tender and the consome was very flavorful! We've tried many birria places in Denver and this place ranks up! The tuna agua chile was quite fishy, but the churros were great. We also got cotija cheese ice cream, we thought it would be similar to cheesecake ice cream but it was very salty and very rich. Overall, the food was okay and the service was very slow on a slow night. We wouldn't go back on our own accord, but would go if someone else already planned to go here.
google avatar

Yelp
The food was tasty and I enjoyed my lamb barbacoa tacos. This dish felt unique with the lamb cheek and shishito peppers. My pear-ginger drink was good but didn't blow me away or anything. The churros, on the other hand, did. They were thin and crispy on the outside but crumbled easily in my mouth and were delicate and soft too! I didn't really care for the dip, but the churros were really tasty on their own! We made a reservation and got a table for 5 pretty easily on a week night. The place was a little loud for conversation, but we made do! That being said, I found the prices to be a little expensive for the amount of food you received. You also assembled the tacos yourself. Overall, I had a good experience and would visit this location again, mostly likely for a special get together with friends!

Yelp
Great spot for happy hour and delicious tacos! It's not the most authentic food, but it's tasty all the same. The mojo tacos are my favorite--soft succulent carnitas served alongside perfectly crispy plantains. Their guacamole has pumpkin seeds inside it and is nice and flavorful. The highlight of my most recent visit was definitely the elote corn ribs and the cotija ice cream along with some churros. The cotija ice cream has the taste of a salty cheesecake. The service has always been friendly. During the warmer months, they have an outdoor patio, and it can get busy, so I recommend you reserve a table. The interior also has a nice, trendy ambiance. They have their own parking lot next to the restaurant and plenty of street parking, but like I said, it can get busy very quickly particularly on the weekends.

Yelp
Good place for Mexican food! Came with a large group of like 10+ without a reservation and they were able to accommodate us, which was amazing. We ended up ordering a bunch of tacos, appetizers, and drinks to share, and they all came out very fast. Tacos come with tortillas on the side so people can assemble whatever they want inside the taco. The coconut rice appetizer should not be slept on since that ended up being everyone's favorite. It was so good we ended up ordering another one! The place itself is very cute, lots of loud colors, which made the place feel very fun and vibey.

Yelp
Super fun atmosphere, drinks and service were great, food was ok! Expensive and not incredible, so we may not return unless invited. Fun date night though!

Sarah W.

Yelp
The food and drinks are so creative. The crunch wrap is 100/10. I love the bear cups.

Yelp
Very fun Mexican restaurant with great outdoor seating. Pretty lights, space heaters, fully covered. Attentive friendly servers and good with food allergies too. The food itself was very heavily salted and spiced - a bit much for my palate but I think my companions enjoyed it.

Yelp
We've been wanting to try mister oso for a while, but the main location on larimer is always packed! This second location is more spacious, has a bunch of outdoor seating as well for warmer weather. Dropped in for happy hour, got the death bear nachos while we're good and very cheesy (bring your lactaid). Tacos- had birria which was very hearty/meaty, and the mojo (coconut braised pork shoulder with fried plantains (thought this would be sweet but was actually a nice balance and coconut was very subtle in flavor). We'd come back and probably order a smaller portion (we couldn't quite finish the two taco orders with the HH nachos). But very delicious and worth a try!

Yelp
Mister Oso has been on my list of restaurants to try and we finally made it there! It did not disappoint. All of the food was outstanding. We went with some friends and started with a pitcher of the strawberry margaritas and then got the chips and guac, chicken empanadas, llapingachos, tuna crudo ceviche, and the coconut rice to start. We got the coconut rice solely because it was Michelin rated but honestly we all agreed it was our least favorite of the shareables. The guac honestly was top notch- it had amazing flavor with the sesame and pistachio, and then the chicken empanadas were my other fav. Soooo good! Then we got the pollo bronco, mojo, and pork carnitas tacos. My fav was the mojo but my husband's was the pork carnitas. My one complaint is the taco portions were kinda small. The service also got really slow as the night progressed, but otherwise we had an amazing experience and would definitely recommend!

Yelp
This place is so cute inside if you are looking for a great Mexican restaurant with a beach vibe. Our waitress and her entire team was very kind and attentive. Loved the refills on the chips and salsa/guac. The tortillas here were delicious and I ate so many of them I almost went into a tortilla coma. If you get one thing off the menus, make it the churros. These were the best bite of my entire month. My entree was pretty okay, the chicken was a bit dry and lacked any flavor. I was enticed and let down by the coconut rice which could've been either more sweet or more savory, but ended up just tasting of coconut milk. This meant more room for chips and salsa, which I wasn't upset about.

Yelp
Trendy and super fun place! I went to the Wash Park location and the decor is insanely nice. It is well thought out, inviting and fun to experience. The service was good. We had a reservation but had to wait a little to be seated. No big deal there. As per the food, delicious! The margaritas were tasty without being overly sweet. The queso and the Brussel sprouts salad were so good! Def one of my favorite quesos in town. The bbq empanada tasted more like a calzone but delicious nonetheless. We tried the ceviche which tasted fresh and had tons of flavor. For tacos, we got the birria, lamb and beef. All tender, juicy and full of flavor! The tortillas tasted homemade as well! The only negative was the churros which were overdone but otherwise, great experience!

Yelp
This place is amazing. Only reason I put 4 stars and not 5 is because they put the tallest tequila bottles in front of the TV....hard to see the score of the football game Food is Atmosphere is amazing Staff is personable and paid well (the service reflects it) Will update to 5 stars when tequila bottles are reorganized

Yelp
Food 4.5/5 From presentation, texture, to clean ingredients, I loved refreshing horchata with cold brew and guacamole. I took .5 out becuause of tres leches French toast. I think it would be best to try when you have the sweet tooth. Tres leches usually reminds me of moist/milk dripping texture but this version was thick, crispy, sticky, and suppppper sweet. Service 5+/5 Super friendly. Informative. Attentive ! Everyone was welcoming vibe and chillaxing. Even for the tres leches French toast, I was told it will be pretty sweet so I knew what to expect at least more than by 80 percents (lol) Ambiance 4.5/5 Interesting vibe. Colorful, warm, fun. They got nice patio as well for warmer weather. Definitely a stop to go before or after wash park! I definitely enjoyed this Michelin bib gourmand restaurant of 2023 Denver ! Exciting experience

Yelp
I love the Mr. Oso location in Wash park! The patio is a great spot and the service was stellar. We were able to bring our puppy on the porch and he was served water. The food (Pollo Bronco Tacos) were yummy! Things a great spot for dates, friend meetups, and groups. They also take reservations!

Yelp
As a fan of Señor bear, I didn't expect anything less from Mister Oso. Starting with the music-- it's a playlist of all the current reggaeton/Latin pop hits (I'm looking at you Bad Bunny fans) -Decor is a fun beachy feel replete with neon signs and some Denver-friendly greenery. Seating options include a covered patio which we took advantage of. -Service was great! We were able to place orders shortly and food came out at a perfect pace. -saving the best for last: food (it goes without saying drinks are great-- def Señor Bear caliber but with more casual offerings too like NA agua frescas) Tacos generally are deconstructed and served with 3 fresh flour tortillas per order. The tortillas themselves are just perfect, but add in any assortment of fillings (fried mushroom, carnitas, birria) and you're in taco paradise. Every taco entree is thoughtfully made and with a distinct flavor profile and topping/sauce. The family style serving is pretty genius since you can mix/match said sauces to your heart's content. Despite how amazing these tacos are, don't sleep on the appetizers or dessert-- queso fundido, coconut rice (same same but different from Señor bear's coconut rice croquettes) and ofc churros with salted caramel!

Yelp
The inside of the restaurant is super cute and nicely decorated. I live walking distance so I got takeout. But our order was ready exactly when they said it would be and the lady was super nice. I ordered the lamb tacos. The meat was super tender and came with pickled onions and shishito peppers. It came with an avocado salsa which was good but honestly I didn't need it because the other flavors were so good. It is make your own tacos so it does get kind of messy and greasy. Very good, but just a little expensive for three small tacos.

Yelp
Came here for DRW with a friend in hopes to taste their highly recommended menu, only to learn that it starts after 5 pm. Totally my fault, and we love breakfast/brunch, so it was perfectly fine. I ordered the empanadas to share and breakfast tacos. Friend ordered the chilaquiles. Empanadas were notably crispy/oily, and the sides that came with the breakfast tacos were not great. The beans were overwhelming sour, and the potatoes were smoky but much more burnt tasting. They also have a flat 20% service fee, which I support, but also feel mixed about, as the wait staff only took our order and checked on us 1 additional time. We poured our own water and asked for the check and boxes. Overall, OK experience, but not sure if I feel compelled enough to come back to try other menu items.

Yelp
Went here for lunch and decided to sit at the bar. Bartender was very rude and disrespectful. So much so that we decided to leave before placing an order. Love the food, but we will not be going back. Fortunately we got to try Hey Bangkok! Instead, and now we have a new favorite neighborhood spot.

Yelp
Another recent Michelin Bib Gourmand spot with fun tasty eats. Food: 4.5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Cost to worth it rating: 4 Opentableable: yes Return worthiness: yes Highlights: - Happy hour: great snacks and few drinks on special daily from 3-6pm - Shrimp tacos: large plump seasoned smoky shrimp paired with grilled tiny romaine and peppers. Mu shu like thin tortillas came separately to build your own. 5 stars - Mini guac: very fresh and pure avocado mixture. Others for me are too oniony or cilatro-y and this was just right. 4.5 stars - Gordo crunch: small crispy taco wrapped in a tortilla filled with green chorizo. 4 stars - Paloma: tangy grapefruit in colorful designed tall thin glass. 3.5 stars - Atmosphere: cute covered sidewalk patio and tanked and small bar inside with colorful metal decor. Lowlights: - Out of frito pie at 5pm :-( One of the snacks we were looking forward to. Loved our happy hour snack here and would love to try more items.

Yelp
I love Mister Oso and was thrilled to see them be added to the Michelin Guide's Bib Gourmand list. Previously, I had only been to the RiNo location. I have to be honest and say although I love the restaurant, I was a bit disappointed at the Wash Park location. In terms of food, everything was tasty: we ordered the birria tacos, lamb barbacoa, refried beans, and coconut rice. The lamb barbacoa tacos were excellent as the picked red onion and blistered shishito peppers cut through the richness of the lamb. The birria tacos were tasty but way too salty for my taste. The rice and beans were the stars (as they usually are), but the service took away from the meal. We did not receive our rice and beans until ~20 minutes after our tacos although we ordered it all at the same time. When these sides arrived, I noticed the rice wasn't super warm and the bottom of the dish was not hot and crispy the way it always is at the RiNo location. Even so, we still enjoyed our sides although we took most of it to go. Overall, Mister Oso is still a great casual dinner date spot or place to take out of town friends. I'll opt for the RiNo location as there seems so some quality control issues at the Wash Park location.

Yelp
Having been to Señor Bear, it was time to give the sister restaurant, Mister Oso a try! The Wash Park location is unassuming from the outside and has a nice patio. Inside it is colorful, full of foliage (mostly fake plants unfortunately), and lively! The new drink, 400 Petals, was delicious! Perfectly balanced and not too heavy on the aperol or mezcal. The camarones tacos were delicious! They can sub for corn tortillas to make it gluten free. The fried mushroom tacos got good reviews from my vegetarian friend. The pollo bronco tacos were "a weird mix of flavors" but still decent, and a good amount of food, as my friend said it. We felt a bit strange about the service, which is why I am giving 4 stars. We were coming from a day at the park so we were dressed casually, but appropriately. When we walked in and asked for a table we were told it was a 30 minute wait despite many tables being open and no other parties waiting. It felt like they wanted us to leave and go somewhere else. When we put our name down, our table was ready in 5 minutes. Our waitress also seemed to act oddly towards us, and the only thing we could think of was that they thought we were not dressed formally enough. Overall the service felt a bit off, but the food and drinks were great.

Yelp
Had to check this place out after it made Michelin's bib gourmand list and we're not disappointed! Smoked and barbecued Latin American foods serves family style. A list of innovative tacos, all deconstructed with the exception of the barria served in a platter to share w your dining mates. Service was attentive and drinks were fun! Loved the fundito, guacamole and elote starters. Hubs had the lamb and found it to be good, but wouldn't get it again. The flavor was overwhelming. I had the shrimp, because there was no other pescatarian or vegetarian options and it was good but a little bit smoky for my taste. Practical wash Park location with a it's own parking lot. Check it out. It's definitely a unique experience and the space is stunning.

Yelp
Had an amazing experience with these great twists on Mexican food. Some of the best empanadas I have ever had and the queso was just amazing. I would highly recommend coming to visit Mister Oso. You will not be disappointed with the food and the terrific service.

Megan V.

Yelp
On Will's first night he served me on the patio. It certainly did not seem like it was his first night there, he did very well! He was attentive but not over baring. I got the tuna aguachile and the mini queso. Such a good meal!

Yelp
We had a great brunch here this past weekend. I really appreciate that you can make reservations-- so helpful when you have a larger group or time constraints!! They take $10 per person on your card as a "down payment" of sorts and then refund it if you actually show up, or put it toward the bill. We walked in and immediately loved the light, airy, bright, jungly vibe here-- they did a really nice job with the decor. It's both trendy and family-friendly. The service was fantastic. The food was excellent!! I highly recommend the French toast dish. Another person at our table ordered the Chilaquiles, which tastes really good but they said it was quite spicy. My husband ordered the Comida Completa dish, and liked it but said he would probably go with another option next time. Overall, we liked it and would come back, maybe for happy hour or dinner to get the full menu.
google avatar

Lauren A.

Yelp
I love the atmosphere/ambiance of this place but the service and food quality (at this location specifically) is always a little bit lacking. I keep coming back for the drinks and happy hour though! *be aware they charge automatic gratuity no matter the party size AND all tacos have to be made by the customer, except birria tacos (like fajita style...some people may enjoy this but this is a con for me personally, if I wanted to make my own tacos I would just stay home)
google avatar

Loren S.

Yelp
Fourth time at Mister Oso on S Ogden. Love the vibe, staff is great, but I found the food a little lacking this time. Frito pie was a bit mush of ingredients and not much chorizo. Guac was a little liquidy perhaps due to the sauce, but it wasn't that way in the past with the sauce. Gordita was bland. Love the birria as usual. I want to raise this review after next time, yesterday was a 3 star
google avatar

Samantha T.

Yelp
Mister Oso is a casual restaurant with Latin cuisine and cocktails. We hosted a small event on the patio and the servers were very attentive. They take an interesting spin on many classics and use unexpected ingredients to create tasty dishes. I really enjoyed the queso and the passion fruit margs. Definitely a good spot to have a chill catch up with friends or a casual date night.

Yelp
It was very quiet, not busy for our 6 person brunch reservation- waitress was almost completely MIA; ordered the bottomless cocktail for brunch for $30 I got 2 drinks (2 =$24) bc I couldn't ever order from the MIA waitress; we sat down at 12 and didn't leave til 2 bc of how slow service was; after asking for the check, we waited almost 35 min before getting it from waitress. I ordered $30 bottomless cocktail for 2 drinks in 2 hrs, and the $17 salad. Rcvd my check and they add service fees to split between the staff and a service charge =$15 in fees for my 2 drinks and salad $60+ for the snail pace service/ zero attn to the tables' drinks, added fees then it asks for additional tip. WAY OVERPRICED. zero attn to drinks; very very very slow service. dont waste your $$$ and food was just O K. NOT WORTH the trip or the bill

Yelp
BEST GUACAMOLE EVER. As if that wasn't incentive enough, great service, ceviche and options for all including vegan options round out your plate, while frozen slushy mezcal and tequila drinks soothe the soul. Just about everything is made in house and it makes for an outstanding experiences. Decor and circuses could afford upgrades and with their prices, they can afford ot. This is why I've given it 4 stars instead of 5. Thanks for reading!

Yelp
The hubs and I met up with friends for a long overdue catch up. We started with chips, salsa and queso. The chips were nice and crispy/salty. I like a more tomato based puréed salsa and this was more chili/pepper flavor; tasty but personal preference. For my main I went with the carrot tacos. I'm not a vegetarian but I love seeing what can be done to a veggie in a non traditional way. This was an outstanding dish. Paired with the heirloom beans on the side along with a pineapple/lime agua Fresca and I was a happy gal. Service was fast and friendly with the space feeling like you wanted to linger for the night continuing to eat and drink. Overall an awesome night out.

Yelp
Tried Mister Oso for brunch and glad we did! Great location north of Wash Park with tons of street parking. The interior of the restaurant was beautiful--lots of plants and colorful wall paper. My guess is especially in the evenings you would feel immediately transported to Mexico! We were able to walk in with no wait at 10am on Saturday and they were getting pretty busy by 11am. Fast, kind service. The brunch menu is on the small side but everything we had was delicious. The queso includes a delicious salsa macha and pico verde; you will be fighting to get some of each in every bite. The birria tacos were superb and I love that you can order tacos at brunch! The breakfast burrito was super yummy and I loved the texture of the green chili. I typically leave brunch feeling like I've overdone it but the portion size was was reasonable here. We also felt like we spent less on brunch than we typically do. Only note was that the coffee was too acidic for my taste; though they did come by with refills frequently, I think next time I would go with one of their delicious looking cocktails or aqua frescas! Can't wait to return soon for dinner!

Yelp
The food is amazing, love the vibe in Rino and bringing friends from out of town there. Service is okay but could be a little more attentive.

Yelp
We came for happy hour randomly and I loved every moment of it. The drinks were yummy, I had a spicy margarita. The little taco with the queso was freaking fire. The frito pie was soooo on point. I love happy hour and Mister Oso Wash Park is one of the reasons why. The prices are moderate so not too cheap but also not too expensive. Servers are friendly! I will definitely be back for the main menu!

Yelp
Wow wow wow wow! I am IMPRESSED!!!! The bartender was very sweet and knowledgeable. Food came out fast and exactly what I asked for. Happy hr is 3-5pm Cute cute cuuutttteeee decorations The coconut pork shoulder... this is what dreams are made of, holy moly. I will be back... often

Yelp
I've heard great things about Mister Oso and I love their sister restaurant Senor Bear. So I wanted to check out the place myself. The place was super cute with indoor and outdoor seating. They don't allow dogs on the patio which was a bummer. They have a great daily happy hour with a variety of shareable plates and drinks. They always have a yummy frozen drink of the day just like Senor Bear. We got queso, guacamole, nachos, and churros. They were all very tasty!! We loved the churros and the dipping sauce that it came with. I defiantly want to come back to try their dinner or lunch!

Yelp
Stopped by for the first time after long wanting to go to Oso. Place is nicely decorated and staff were very helpful. We got the caesar, which was very well dressed and unique. We got the queso with salsa macha, guac, and chips and salsa. The queso was very good, nice and smooth, and the macha added a nice kick of flavor. The quac was stellar, very chunky. And the salsa verde was good, the roja was ok. We also got the birria and mojo tacos. Both were absolutely fantastic. The birria was super cheesy and crispy and the jus was salty and delicious. The mojo was well marinated and came with crispy plantains. I really liked the flour tortillas they used. Also, pro tip, their skinny margs are great. Not overly sweet like most places still make margs even when ordered skinny. Overall superb meal. Will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
We had the pleasure of visiting the wash park location last weekend for a birthday celebration. The atmosphere was cutesy, perfect for photos. Service was spot on, even with a large party of 12 and everyone couldn't get over how delicious the food was! Highly recommended and will definitely be back

Yelp
Mister Oso is pretty decent. Sometimes better than others. Some servers are more attentive than others. Some dishes are drastically better than others. But the drinks are pretty consistent. It is pretty close to home, so I enjoy the convenience. I have tried their chicken tacos, nachos, and fish tacos. They are all just above ok. Nothing is extremely delicious or wowed me. Most of the servers are nice, there are just some who are more attentive than others. The last time I was there we had a few different servers. I have experienced a few restaurants with he CHP fee - but it pretty much broke down what it was when I googled it. However, this fee that I didn't expect wasn't so great. So beware of the 20% service fee that is automatically added to the bill. Overall, I will be back, but I will be careful what I pick and when I go!

Yelp
Brunch was amazing! I'd be as bold to say--best brunch in Denver! The flavors, the portion size and the deliciouness were all 5s! Plus great service from server, Jesus and others.

Yelp
// Summary Solid modern Mexican cuisine with a chill vibe to it. // Experience After a recommendation from a friend and seeing it on the Bib Gourmand list, I just had to check this place out. I came for brunch, and ordered a burrito and some churros (cause someone told me that Mister Oso had the best churros in Denver). Everything tasted pretty good - but nothing was like "out of the world" stellar. They don't have the best churros in Denver, but they're decent - and they do come with a couple of sauces for your dipping pleasure. // Service I sat at the bar, and it was fine. My food came out rather quickly, but the churros took a bit longer than expected such that the bartender went to the kitchen to see what was going on. // Ambiance They got plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Feels like a very relaxed Denver-style chill cantina. // Convenience They do got a parking lot - but I imagine it fills up quickly during the busier hours. This location seems to be more convenient than their downtown location for sure.

Yelp
Perfect happy hour spot for tapas and margs. We ordered various items to share and it was all so tasty. Pro tip: save room for the churro!!

Yelp
It was ok, not the best and not the worst. Everything was fine, nothing exceptional. I don't know if I would go again. It wasn't bad, but it's not like I'll crave it in the future.
