I've heard a lot about the Ice Cream Nachos being served here, so had to find it when I came to the park. It actually was pretty tough to find - we walked around the entire ballpark - and there was about a 10-15 minute line here. It was absolutely worth it, though
Firstly, I don't know why this is a more common food, but the concept here is just fantastic. The excellent textural combination of the crunchy, light wafers dipping in the thick, creamy, and cold soft-serve ice cream is just amazing. It's a completely new way of eating ice cream that I'm annoyed that I'm only discovering now. When you eat ice cream normally, it's cold and it tastes great, but I don't think you really get to appreciate it unless it's with something else - whether that's a cookie, brownie, or in this case some thin wafers.
The sauces are also a great idea here. My procedure was to dip the wafer in one of the two provided sauces, then get some sprinkles on there, and then load it up with ice cream. It really was a mind-blowing experience
There's one thing to have a great concept, though, and it's another to execute it properly.
While the wafers, sprinkles, and caramel and chocolate sauces are relatively standard (although the wafers are a bit too thin), the real headliner here is the soft serve. I truly did not expect the soft serve to be this good. The thickness level was astounding - it held its swirly, pointed shape for so long. The creaminess and flavor was also so good. It's some of the best soft serve I've ever had, and in a place I was not anticipating.
The portion size of this is massive. For $15, you get something that you can more than easily share with one other person and be completely satisfied. Considering how everything around it at the park has such high prices for lower portions, this is exceptional value
Overall, it's a super unique concept that also knocks it out of the park (pun intended) in terms of quality. 9/10
