The Best Hangover Cure Restaurants in Montreal | Eater Montreal

"For those looking to eat a meal that’s good for them but need to dine somewhere without pretension due to a major hangover, Maxime Gagné’s casual spot will abide. Expect greasy spoon classics here, but upscaled: Think brioche “hot dogs” with kebab meat or fried chicken sandwiches alongside specials like grilled swordfish. If you want some of this spot’s food with a beer, try their outpost kitchen inside the Sud-Ouest craft brewery Messorem Bracitorium." - JP Karwacki

The Best Restaurants in Rosemont (Montreal) | Eater Montreal

"Operating from within De Lorimier record shop Le 180g, the team at pandemic-prompted sandwicherie Mitch Deli is serving what has become a top contender for the best fried chicken sandwich in the city. Also on offer: a polenta-encrusted calamari sandwich, a mushroom sandwich for the books, rotating seasonal veggie dishes, and a reliable natural wine selection." - Valerie Silva

Montreal Microbrewery Messorem Bracitorium to Serve Mitch Deli’s Fried Chicken Sandwich | Eater Montreal

"Having won over the Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie crowd, Mitch Deli — started on de Lorimier Street in June 2020 by Maxime Gagné — is known for its impeccably crisp fried chicken sandwich and is already expanding west; its beloved sandwiches and other items, including a new “secret” creation unique to the outpost, will be reproduced at a Messorem Bracitorium location." - Valerie Silva

Recommended by friends from La Belle Tonki, so I came in expecting something a little quirky, a little wild, and full of flavour. That’s exactly what I got. The setting is funky in the best way—laid-back, colorful, eclectic. It feels like the kind of place where you can wear mismatched socks and still feel cool. We had oysters (fresh and bright), cavatelli (cozy and comforting), beef tartare (rich and punchy), bhaji (crispy perfection), and fries (a whole personality of their own). I went with a friend. We started out sharing everything, but by the end, the food was so good we were basically in a quiet custody battle over each dish. I may have lost a friend that day, but honestly, I’d do it again for that cavatelli. 10/10 would recommend. Just maybe go solo if your friendships are fragile.

Ventured out here to try this modern take on a deli. Atmosphere is pretty far from your traditional MTL Deli, not to any detriment though. The menu is small, I imagine the fried chicken sandwich is the star of the show here. That was what I ordered and it was delicious. The fried chicken was perfectly made, the skin to meat ratio was blessed. Perfectly crispy coating on it with a hot sauce at the right heat level for the sandwich. Considering it didn't come with any fries or anything, the $18 total was a bit much for just the sandwich but not an abnormal price in 2025 either. My friend got the ribs and his portion seemed poorer, however. Service was fine, very professional.

I saw foccacia on the sign so I wanted to try. I’m not sure how they can advertise this as foccacia? It tasted more like a toasted hot dog bun. Maybe this is a secret kind of foccacia that exists only in this restaurant, but in my opinion the sign should say toasted hot dog buns.

We were impressed with this ‘simple sandwich shop’. The food was amazing and it was tucked away in a nice little neighborhood. We both had meals that were above what we were expecting. The appetizers of ‘popcorn’ chicken and curry vegetable patties were top notch and the sandwiches were full of flavor. Perfect meal!

Great little local spot for a high quality lunch. Didn't know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. Food was delicious. Will definitely return.

Google
Great vibe! Super fun 70s/80s playlist at the perfect volume. Fun wine selection. Chicken burgers were pretty good, could have used a more flavourful sauce. The appetizers (pickle salad and the potato dish) were really yummy.

Google
It is a great place to eat. Definitely a place I will recommend. Everything went perfectly. Food was great, ambiance is nice, staffs are super friendly and knowledgeable. Price is friendly. I had friend calamari, burger and fried chicken. Everything was cooked perfectly. I will definitely come back.

Google
The music was bumping and the volume was perfect. They seemed severely understaffed for the amount of clients they had to serve. The food was okay. Deep fried fell apart as you ate it - messy and oily. We found comfort in the flavorful dip however there was not enough focaccia provided to eat all of it. Good vibes, okay food, understaffed Edit: Following the snarky reply from the owner, I would like to clarify: The McDonald's in PORTO Portugal deserved to get 5 stars; the historical building is super clean and well staffed. Definitely slaps your mismanaged business. I dropped your review to 0 following your insanely unprofessional approach. Help is hard to find with this attitude.

Yelp
Mitch dishes up a perfectly tasty chicken sandwich, but it's infuriatingly overpriced given the skimpy portioning. Unfortunately, "quirky" sub-sub-Expozine graphic design isn't a substitute for fair pricing. Prepare to pay handsomely or leave hungry. Weirdly overrated.

Yelp
Messy sandwiches that hit all the flavor points for your tongue. Really well balanced flavors. Both the mushroom sandwich and the chicken sandwich were excellent. The broccoli sandwich also looked good. Nice people and good service too. Love the vibe here and hope they succeed. Window service but a really cozy record shop/cafe is next door for you to wait in.
