Mitch's Downtown Bagel Cafe

This spot near downtown Ft Lauderdale was a great place to satisfy my craving for a bagel sandwich! The setup is nice and the bagels are baked fresh. As busy as they were with to-go orders, our food was ready quickly. As was recommended, I ordered the bacon/egg/cheese on everything bagel and my husband ordered the pastrami/egg/cheese on plain bagel. Also got the French toast bites. All in all, the service was great, friendly and we really enjoyed our food. The only negative for us was the price point. Compared to other bagel shops, this is a bit more expensive. Now, don't let that keep you from checking them out! You can't put a price on service so maybe it's worth a few extra bucks. They have multiple locations and more going up, so put Mitch's on your breakfast list.

We are in town for a short trip, and this was our first visit to Mitch’s. It did not disappoint! The bagels were fantastic and toasted perfectly. We also had an iced latte and a hot latte, both of which were great as well. The space is clean and bright with a friendly, welcoming vibe. It’s not a full-service restaurant as you order at the counter, but the young lady who helped us, Makayla, still came around and checked in with us and other tables to be sure everyone was good and had what they needed. Excellent service. 10/10 all around experience. We will definitely be back!

Bagels were so good came back two days in a row. The only complaint is that the pastrami was barely warm on the sandwich. Other than that great spot

I had the most amazing experience here. Makayla was very sweet and helpful. Griffin was such an angel and went above and beyond to make us feel special. Will definitely be coming back and recommending this spot to more. Couldn't thank Griffin enough and the staff for making this such an enjoyable stop on our trip.

Stopped in here on a whim for a quick bite. We got a breakfast sandwhich, hashbrowns, latte and chicken salad sandwhich. Everything was so fresh and delicious, the service was great. Mickaela took such good care of us, she was so helpful when we were ordering and made sure everything came out good and kept checking on us. Would definitely recommend for a good meal and great service!

I tried this place recently and it was good. I love a good bacon egg and cheese and that’s exactly what they had plus hash browns and cream cheese on a bagel. I think with the hash brown it was very easy for it to get messy while eating but the taste was kind of underwhelming I think the eggs could’ve used more salt and pepper but together it tasted pretty decent I love the texture that the hash brown added to the sandwich

I stopped by this morning and honestly had the best breakfast I’ve ever had. The place is local, clean, and has such a friendly atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious ,fresh and flavorful. I was helped by a young lady named Mikaela, who was incredibly helpful and kind. She offered great suggestions, made sure everything was to my liking, and made the whole experience smooth and efficient. I truly appreciated her service. I’ll definitely be coming back.Places this well-run and welcoming are rare to find!

Wow! Tried the westside during our trip and when we needed one for another early midweek excursion, I immediately searched for a Mitch's near downtown! Mitches has some of the best bagels I have had in a long time. I really love the taste and the sandwich toppings and offerings were great. They don't charge for changes on cheese like others, and the mobile ordering was easy so we could pickup and go. Easy access to front of shop in early morning. They do have seating and restrooms, but I did not stay long. Tipping optional online and instore. Many coffee offerings and drinks. Bag was ready and we were on our way. Great service.

I ordered this bagel platter for a few of us. There were countless bagels included, maybe fifteen. The amount of cream cheese was mind boggling and much appreciated. They are not skimpy at all like most other places. I mean, the depth of the cream cheese amount was brilliant. I love my cream cheese if you couldn't tell. Both the regular and Chinese cream cheese were good, but the chive hit it out of the park. The bagels were fresh. They were very good. The Asiago bagel was much thinner than the others which was disappointing because I love that flavor. Oh, I forgot to mention the tomatoes. These were incredibly delicious. It seems most markets just don't sell tasty tomatoes. I would love to buy the ones Mitch's buys. So, so good. I wish there were more olives and less onions. The platter was packed with them. And I like red onions. This was just unnecessarily too much. Staff was pleasant and friendly. This place gets very, very busy. They are closed Mondays.

I've been to Mitch's a few times and woke up hungry on a Sunday morning, so I figured I'd grab breakfast from there. I ordered online and walked over. It's a short half-mile or so from me. My bag was already waiting on the counter when I arrived, which made it quick and easy. I got the "Chopped Bagel," overstuffed with nova, scallion cream cheese, tomato, onion, cucumber and capers on an everything bagel. It was fire. That said, in general it's definitely on the pricier side for a casual bagel spot. Regardless, I'll be back because I've been dreaming about that bagel!

Great bagel place in Fort Lauderdale. Their bagels are always perfect and their coffee is surprisingly delicious. I was shocked at how yummy the latte was here. They offer milk alternatives as well. My favorite thing here is their Tuna Melt and Fries! It's so hard to find a good tuna melt and this one is PERFECT! Always a stop when I'm in the area

Amazing breakfast spot! I was so impressed by all of our sandwiches. The bagels are very good for south Florida. The only reason this wouldn't be a 5 is the price. $23 for a bagel sandwich and plain coffee is a bit steep. Despite that, a great bagel spot!

Ordered through Uber Eats and everything arrived fresh and fast. The bagel and coffee were solid--nothing mind-blowing, but definitely hit the spot. A reliable, no-frills option when you need a quick pick-me-up!

Am visiting Florida from out of town and stopped into this bagel place after seeing good reviews on Yelp. Parking is on the street right outside the shop. You can place an order by either scanning the QR code on the table or standing in line (which goes fast)! I ordered a rainbow bagel with nova (salmon) and scallion cream cheese (it's on the menu, but can't remember the name). Bagel was really soft and delicious - almost got a New York type taste to it. My fiancé ordered a customized bagel breakfast sandwich and really liked it too. There's plenty of seating inside and we were able to find a table quickly. Many people order to-go, so there's people coming in and out all morning long. Definitely decent and worth the reviews!

Nice and clean breakfast sammich joint with fresh ingredients and very friendly service. I ordered the Hangover add avocado on a brioche bun. It was 10/10 good. Fluffy scrambled, eggs, crispy bacon, melty American cheese, and ripe avocado. I also got the Nitro brew which was also delicious and put a nice pep in my step. I will definitely return here for breakfast!

I've been really wanting to come to this newly opened Jewish Deli-like bagel shop since opening in Flagler Village little earlier this year (I think?!?) I have wanted a decent Pastrami on Rye for 5-6 months- and options in Ft Laud are pretty limited. Their space is beautiful and new, and open with plenty of seating inside and out on the sidewalk. Parking is limited to paid street parking :( The menu is large and features your bagels, breakfast sandwiches, other breakfast items and lunch Sammies. I ordered extra pastrami for $4, and it comes with a side (coleslaw, Mac salad, potato salad- a few others for upcharge). The sandwich was delicious and the pastrami was very good, and great deli mustard. Bread was thick and looked homemade. Half sour pickle was legit. Coleslaw was fresh and very good. I'm definitely coming back, I spoke to shift leader that gave me the owners cell phone # for some catering I often do. $25 for sandwich with extra meat no drink and tip, is a little pricey? That's like Katz's NYC pricing practically. Overall very good and deservedly of the reviews it's getting! Breakfast bagels seems to be the star here, and I'll be back really soon to try one :)

Mitch's bagel's are awesome and they have so many options. Even a simple spread of butter on an everything bagel can say Good Morning like anything. The owners here are soooo down to earth. They have a water tumbler with cucumber that is so refreshing if you want to stick to zero calorie beverages plus coffee ofcourse. The service has always been prompt. The store is small but the layout is L shaped and doesnt make you feel that. You can order at the counter or by using their QR code at the table.

The hangover was hands down one of the best bagel sandwiches that I've ever eaten. I went right when then opened so there was no wait. The only downside was that several of their bagel options were not ready yet. I opted for an everything bialy since the everything bagel was not ready. I loved the pet friendly quaint cafe vibe.

WOW! I think this might be my favorite breakfast sandwich that I have tried in Fort Lauderdale. I ordered The BECTA which has egg, bacon, cheese, avocado and white truffle oil and I added a hash brown patty. It was so delicious I'm so impressed. The hash brown was still crispy even being wrapped in the sandwich foil and the egg was so flavorful. I also LOVE that they don't use the Florida avocados, I am not a fan of those so ordering this without knowing which avocado they use was a risk but it was well worth it they were perfectly ripe. Overall I'm super impressed with this sandwich and I can't wait to try more from their menu.

Two words: pastrami sandwich. If you fancy switching it up from your usual order, try their incredible pastrami and you won't be disappointed. Perfect weekend breakfast spot and yes, pastrami is fire in the AM. Pro tip: don't toast the rye and add mustard the classic way!!!

Best bagel sandwiched in Fort Lauderdale for sure! The hangover breakfast sandwich is actually the best hangover cure!! The crispy hash brown inside of it is so delicious and they are generous with the amount of egg cheese and bacon. We literally love this place so much and always order it for delivery on the weekends!

Yummy bagel shop in the heart of Fort Lauderdale.. I tried the rainbow bagel with scallion cream cheese, The Becta bagel & French toast bites everything was very delicious, however I was a little upset that when I was ordering the Becta bagel that cashier told me that I could not get a over easy egg because they were busy.I had the iced coffee with caramel, it was not my favorite but it was drinkable. The cafe is super cute with indoor and outdoor seating. The cafe is also dog friendly. It was super clean. The staff were super nice as well. Parking is street parking with a small fee. I will definitely go back again.

My first visit here was through a Yelp event and I enjoyed it so much I decided to return. I tried the bagel With cream cheese and while it's a simple item it is quite delicious! The service was good and the ambiance is welcoming. I do need to try more items but my companions told me what they ordered was really delicious too!

Neighborhood staple. I'm mad because now it's popular so there is always a line on Saturdays lol but that's a good thing. I've had the pastrami on everything and let me tell you! Fire! They even have some beers and iced coffee if that's the vibe you're on. Owner is super nice and chill and their staff is super friendly.

We were in the area just passing time and decided to pop in for a quick breakfast. I wasnt expecting much from a bagel shop really but was pleasantly surprised about their selection. They have gourmet bagels and a wide selection of house cream cheese. It was a fairly big space and really clean inside. I've always wanted to get bagels but could never find an authentic bagel shop. You can order at your table with a QR code and they will bring it to your table which was very convenient. As for the food we got a rainbow bagel with vegetable cream cheese it was delicious but I was also expecting a more vibrant bagel color. We also got an onion bagel with avocado spread. To me the only thing is that the avocado bagel was fairly pricey it was about $10 for 1 bagel. I would come back to try their other bagels when I'm in the area for sure.

I might actually be obsessed with Mitchs because I've been two days in a row this week & I honestly wish I tried sooner considering I live so close! The service is great & everyone is so nice. They are dog friendly even with bully breeds which is amazing & they will even give your dog treats. Everything is also clean, bright & modern. The iced coffee is not too sweet so it's perfect, the breakfast bagels are a good choice too & filling. I also recommend the chicken Caesar wrap. I definitely will be coming back

Wow wow! Best sandwich shop in broward - offers in South florida!! I came here and ordered the corned beef sandwich and I was not disappointed. Although a little on the pricey side, it was worth the spend. The sandwiches here are actually packed with protein. They do not cheap out on you!! Very delicious. The people here are also very nice and the restaurant is very nice. Located in a perfect location. I wish I lived upstairs and I would be having this more often. Can't wait to come back!

Stopped by here as I was craving a good sandwich. And let me tell you that the food here was sooooo good. They do NOT cheap out on the food here!!! the sandwichi ordered had so much ham. You can tell they care about quality and making the best sandwich. I ordered the pastrami sandwich, an iced coffee and a fruit bowl. Loved it all. The coffee was perfect as well. Service was also amazing. Everyone here was so nice and smiled. You don't see that often anymore unfortunately. The restaurant was also very nice - very clean and modern. Perfect for a quick sit down lunch or brunch. The bagels also looked amazing. I need to come back here for a bagel!!!

The bagels here are delicious! I went on a Sunday morning and it was busy, but the service was still quick. I'm giving it a 4/5 instead of a 5/5 because of the cost. My sandwich, the Nova Supreme, was almost $20. They have other options that are less expensive though. It's a really cute place and the bagel sandwiches we got were good, so a nice place for a quick breakfast!

Wow !!!! This place is amazing Went there with my family . Great menu lots to choose from and the quality and quantity are fantastic. Great place for breakfast or Lunch. All the food was great but the BAGELS WERE SO GOOOOOOD . I live in Hallandale and they're opening a location close so I'll definitely become a regular . Got a cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese. Service was a little slow but seemed it was due to a large amount of to go orders. The space is nice, clean and they have indoor and outdoor seating options. A good place to spot for a bagel in downtown Fort Lauderdale.

Wow! I can't say enough good things about Mitch's Downtown. I ordered the breakfast burrito, and it was absolutely delicious--every bite was packed with flavor! My husband had a bagel, and of course, I had to try a bite... WOW--so tasty! For dessert, we couldn't resist the French toast bites, and they did not disappoint. They were perfectly sweet, soft, and just the right amount of indulgent. And let's not forget the fresh juice--sooo refreshing and full of flavor! I can't wait to order from this place again. If you're in Fort Lauderdale and looking for an amazing breakfast or brunch spot, Mitch's Downtown is a must-try!

Love this place - from nj it's tough to find a good bagel spot. This place is awesome wish the bagels were a little thicker like nj but they are still probably the best option amongst all the places around here. Def a must

Cannot recommend this place enough. It is so clean in there and aesthetically pleasing. It is like an upscale diner. The crew is extremely friendly. Adam took our order and he is very knowledgeable about the menu. Food: I ended up with the slo fo on an onion bagel (egg, melted swiss, avocado, turkey bacon) YUM. bagel was so soft, but i would probably get it toasted next time. My sister had the hangover on an onion bagel (bacon, American cheese and a hash brown). she loved it and cant wait to return on her next visit. The star of the show was the banana chocolate chip pancake. they are HUGE, crispy on the outside an fluffy on the inside. You must get an order. Thank you for the hospitality, Mitch and family! I cant wait to return to try your fresh tuna.

I love a good quality bagel, and Mitch's is a great place for that! Their bagels are fresh, soft, and delicious, and their bagel sandwiches are good, flavorful, filling, and a step up from the traditional bacon, egg, and cheese. I get the hangover, which is a bacon egg and cheese with hashbrowns and it's amazing. Their coffee is from Wells, a local place down the street which is also amazing. They have entrees and some to-go snacks as well, but I haven't tried them. You can order either at the counter or using the QR code at the table, then they bring the order to you. They are also dog-friendly, and even have a photo wall of dogs that have stopped by! So cute! It's a little too expensive to be an every day thing, but it's definitely a good breakfast treat for a weekend morning! I took off a star because the woman at the counter every time I've gone has been not the nicest. She always seems like you're annoying her by being there, even though I just order standard menu items with no modifications and I always know what I want when it's my turn to order.

Service was great, they were quick to share their recommendations! Interior was very cozy, plenty of places to sit and the parking was right out front along the street. FOOD - amazing!!! The hangover sandwich was definitely our favorite. I've never had hash browns cooked like that!! And the BACON was perfectly crispy. We put it on an everything bagel and it was definitely the right move. The video shows the cheese pull of the hangover sandwich - you can't get better than that!

The "Wake the F up" avocado toast was so filling! The portion was huge and it had plenty of avocado on it. The 2-2-2 meal was delicious and the French toast was just right! Definitely recommend trying this spot out. Ambiance is welcoming and the service was attentive and friendly.

I absolutely love Mitch's!! The father and son duo that own this place really take pride in their Restaurant and you will always see at least one of them here! The rest of the staff is also such a delight! All of them always have smiles on their faces and they are so sweet! I usually stop in for breakfast, but I have yet to try something here I didn't like! The potato pancakes are DELICIOUS and I can't leave without a tub of their tuna! Every bagel flavor tastes so rich and you know that good cream cheese, yea they gave that here!! The breakfast bowl is one of my favorite menus items! Filled with eggs, potatoes, cheese and. So much more, it's really a filling breakfast! Best part is the iced coffee is PERFECT! In terms if decor the restaurant is also super modern and cute for insta pics too! Very clean, spacious bathrooms and a nice display case to see some of their mani items! This is a must stop spot in Fort Lauderdale trust me!!

I was pleasantly surprised how good the bagel was. As a NYer, I hadn't found a bagel as good as I was used to. At Mitch's, the bagel was soft- not chewy. I had the Hangover bagel & my hubby had the Pastrami Breakfast. He raved about his food as well. Dee took my order, she helped me decide on the Everything Bagel. I mentioned that I'm watching my salt & she told me that the bagels aren't salty. She is right. Adam was sitting near us & we were talking about the differences of deli's here in Florida & in NY. He is very knowledgeable about the details! The location is downtown & looks like the 1st floor of an office building. There is outdoor seating as well as all white interior inside. It's very bright & clean inside. This is also a dog friendly restaurant. We brought home a half a dozen bagels, scallion & bacon cream cheese. Also nova spread cream cheese. We are about 20 minutes from here but enjoyed so much, we will take a ride & come back. I saw they have their own app. You can order ahead & pick up.

I go to Mitch's every week because it is so good. They have awesome bagels with amazing eggs, bacon, etc. I adore Mitch's cream cheese because it adds more flavor than normal. It makes my mouth water every time I think about it. Their service is always on point. The ambience is very vivid and modern. Thank you Mitch's.

I work down the street from Mitch's and really wanted soup today. I ordered half matzo ball soup and half roast beef sandwich on rye with swiss and mayo. It came with a pickle and macaroni salad. The sandwich was amazing. The half was plenty of food, lots of meat and nice thick bread, but I regretted not getting a full sandwich because it was go good. The roast beef was perfectly sliced and seasoned. It had a large piece of cheese so I had cheese in every bite. The sandwich was just an all around delicious roast beef sandwich. I previously tried the Becca bagel sandwich and thought it was delicious too. The bagel was amazing and there was a ton of avocado and just the right amount of truffle without being overpowering. If you can't find street parking just go to the back of the building. There is plenty of retail parking in the garage.

What a cute little spot! Mitch's Downtown Bagel Cafe is a great stop to grab a bagel, stop for a coffee or get lunch! I stopped in to grab an iced coffee and the Avo Chicken Caesar Wrap. Not only was this wrap huge, but it tasted incredible. The food was great but the service I received was fantastic. I definitely will be coming back for a breakfast bagel!
