Great off the grid spot in Downtown Hallandale. Stopped in today with my Tia for brunch. Service was friendly and prompt. I ordered a bagel and delicious chicken soup. Good portions and fresh. Manager Peter was the perfect host. He could not do enough for us and exuded an “at home” vibe. We sat outside in their well shaded area listened to nice tunes as we at at our leisure. Thank you Peter for the tasty treats and hospital service.

Little slice of jew heaven. The hang over bagel is where it’s at - my girlfriends and I love to come here and grab a Dr. Browns, a bagel and some fresh rugelach. Brian the manager is super hospitable friendly and funny. The inside is a vibe with an LED, great tunes, signs & plants- they have a few spots outside with a city feel. Definitely add it to your local spots!! Xoxo your local soflo Jewish gal and her besties

Loved this spot! I used to go to Mitch’s Downtown Bagels when I lived in Fort Lauderdale and was so happy to discover this location. The young lady who took my order is very friendly, the space is clean, and service is quick even when busy. I ordered an oat milk latte with sugar-free vanilla and the French toast bites, perfect for a sweet breakfast. Can’t wait to come back for their famous bagels and sandwiches!

Google
I love this lovely little bagel shop. It’s easily grown to be one of my favorites! The atmosphere is so cute with hanging plants around, the manager Brian was so pleasant with us and it makes sense that their staff is just as sweet. The hangover bagel is my go to. I love this place, and so do all my friends. Thank you for such a great spot! ❤️

Google
We enjoyed iced coffees, mine with vanilla and milk. It was perfectly done, not too sweet and just enough cream. We ordered “The Hangover” (a bagel sandwich) and a BELT with cheese, a huge sandwich which I took half of to go. It came with a side, and I chose macaroni salad, it was just as it should be. Linda was very helpful and kind. We are pleased and would return. We also sat outside in the downtown area, shaded outside the store front and enjoyed the weather & the city. Inside was clean and modern. They had a little refreshment stand with various sauces, sugar and utensils for coffee. Maple syrup & other condiments needed to perfect your breakfast. Homemade bakery items like pastries and such were also out. Refreshing cucumber water for all to enjoy was kept fresh at the stand as well. Overall 10/10 highly recommend.

Google
I visited Mitch’s Downtown for lunch and found the experience to be satisfactory. The establishment presents itself as a clean and comfortable dining area that serves both food and workspace needs. The chicken wrap I chose delivered fresh flavors, while the fries served as a small portion that exceeded my taste expectations with their excellent truffle seasoning. The high price of $6 for a muffin remained the only negative aspect of my visit. The restaurant served excellent food while providing fast service to its customers. My Suggestion: The downtown location offers excellent quick lunch options, although customers should prepare for some of its expensive food prices.

Google
Mitch’s Downtown is my boyfriend’s and my go-to spot for the perfect bagel sandwich. Every weekend—and anytime a family member is in town—I make sure to introduce them to Mitch’s, not just for the amazing sandwiches but for their wide variety of options. My mom’s go-to is the veggie omelet, and the French toast bites are to die for. Their iced coffee is also so good and the perfect addition to any order. It’s Sunday and I’m already looking forward to next weekend’s bagel stop!

Google
This spot near downtown Ft Lauderdale was a great place to satisfy my craving for a bagel sandwich! The setup is nice and the bagels are baked fresh. As busy as they were with to-go orders, our food was ready quickly. As was recommended, I ordered the bacon/egg/cheese on everything bagel and my husband ordered the pastrami/egg/cheese on plain bagel. Also got the French toast bites. All in all, the service was great, friendly and we really enjoyed our food. The only negative for us was the price point. Compared to other bagel shops, this is a bit more expensive. Now, don't let that keep you from checking them out! You can't put a price on service so maybe it's worth a few extra bucks. They have multiple locations and more going up, so put Mitch's on your breakfast list.

Jack K.

Yelp
The best service, friendly staff especially Maya! I've been to all the bagels shops in the area and Mitch's has the best bagels around!

Yelp
Extraordinary! Incredible! Perfection! Soul Satisfying I am talking about Mitch's Downtown. The best experience in a bagel place that we have had here in Florida. The bagels were as close to New York bagels as we have had here in South Florida. Nova was fresh and delicious. The corned beef and pastrami were flavorful and cut correctly. The side of coleslaw was perfection. The Black and White cookie was the best one I have ever had in Florida. I could go on and on about the food but I also want to express how clean and bright the place is. They play great music and had Seinfeld on the television....I was transported back to New York for a little while. We met the owner, Mitch and his son, Adam and they were both so warm and accommodating....cannot wait to go back! They also have two other locations and we will definitely check those out as well. It is so rare to have such a wonderful experience in a bagel place in South Florida....so refreshing!

Yelp
My true score is a 3.5 I decided to give Mitches another try. I was by the Fort Lauderdale location so I decided to check out that one. There is street parking around the restaurant. During the week day, it was easy to find parking. Now you just have to make sure you know how to parallel park. The ambiance of this restaurant was bright but quaint. There was outdoor and in door seating. I decided to get the hang over again. They didnt have the asiago cheese bagel so i went with their plain bagel. I saw they had hot honey on another sandwich so i asked for it on the side. And i subbed the bacon out for sausage since I'm more of a sausage person. It took about 20 minutes to get the sandwich. They also had cucumber water available while you waited. It was refreshing. I enjoyed my sandwich from here. I didn't like the bagel ( not sure what about it I didnt like even though it was a plain bagel) but the sandwich was good. I added hot sauce and the hot honey made it even more enjoyable. I really liked the sandwich with the sausage in it. Overall, i really enjoyed my meal. The service was average in my opinion. Most of the interaction was at the counter.

Yelp
I was looking for a cafe to eat at after an event that I attended in Fort Lauderdale and decided to try Mitch's bagel café. I ordered one of the smoked salmon bagels and a Matcha latte. It seems as though this place is very busy because many of the bagels were already sold out and many of the seats were taken. The bagel was good, but I thought it was a little salty for my taste and the Matcha wasn't my favorite. I would like to note that many of the items, especially those with smoked salmon, are about $18. My friend ordered there was an egg sandwich for a much lower price which she enjoyed. The service was quick and the staff were OK. The space is a bit small for the amount of people that come through, but we were able to find seating on some barstools. I do like that there was a lot of street parking available in the front as well as the back. Overall I'm glad I was able to try it out.

Yelp
I go through my bagel cravings on and off and am always looking for the next bagel spot. This time around I did try Mitch's which is close to my job in downtown. Ambiance was open seating, friendly staff and they had a variety of breakfast and lunch options. I decided to get the "Becta" which I honestly saved half of for lunch because it was very filling on an everything bagel. 4/5 stars because I would not get their latte again, it seemed like they have an automatic coffee/espresso machine as oppose to a barista using the espresso machine and crafting the lattes. They do have only street parking due to the downtown location which I would plan for when going.

Yelp
I ordered this bagel platter for a few of us. There were countless bagels included, maybe fifteen. The amount of cream cheese was mind boggling and much appreciated. They are not skimpy at all like most other places. I mean, the depth of the cream cheese amount was brilliant. I love my cream cheese if you couldn't tell. Both the regular and Chinese cream cheese were good, but the chive hit it out of the park. The bagels were fresh. They were very good. The Asiago bagel was much thinner than the others which was disappointing because I love that flavor. Oh, I forgot to mention the tomatoes. These were incredibly delicious. It seems most markets just don't sell tasty tomatoes. I would love to buy the ones Mitch's buys. So, so good. I wish there were more olives and less onions. The platter was packed with them. And I like red onions. This was just unnecessarily too much. Staff was pleasant and friendly. This place gets very, very busy. They are closed Mondays.

Yelp
I've been to Mitch's a few times and woke up hungry on a Sunday morning, so I figured I'd grab breakfast from there. I ordered online and walked over. It's a short half-mile or so from me. My bag was already waiting on the counter when I arrived, which made it quick and easy. I got the "Chopped Bagel," overstuffed with nova, scallion cream cheese, tomato, onion, cucumber and capers on an everything bagel. It was fire. That said, in general it's definitely on the pricier side for a casual bagel spot. Regardless, I'll be back because I've been dreaming about that bagel!

Yelp
Wow! Tried the westside during our trip and when we needed one for another early midweek excursion, I immediately searched for a Mitch's near downtown! Mitches has some of the best bagels I have had in a long time. I really love the taste and the sandwich toppings and offerings were great. They don't charge for changes on cheese like others, and the mobile ordering was easy so we could pickup and go. Easy access to front of shop in early morning. They do have seating and restrooms, but I did not stay long. Tipping optional online and instore. Many coffee offerings and drinks. Bag was ready and we were on our way. Great service.

Yelp
First time ordering from Mitchs. I got a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on everything bagel. It was amazing. Ordered online and within 3 mins, I got a text that my order was ready. Someone greeted me promptly upon arriving. Really great experience. They even had neighborhood dogs posted on the wall and thought that was so cute. Will be back!

Jordan W.

Yelp
I took my crew to Mitch's today for lunch to treat them to something special. Today we ordered corned beef Reuben sandwiches, pastrami sandwiches, Philly cheesesteaks, and the chicken Caesar wrap. Everyone loved their food! Thanks to Jackie and the entire staff for helping our large group quickly and efficiently and for providing excellent food/service! I've been here before...the hangover breakfast sandwich and the egg salad are excellent. I look forward to coming back soon. Thank you!
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing breakfast spot! I was so impressed by all of our sandwiches. The bagels are very good for south Florida. The only reason this wouldn't be a 5 is the price. $23 for a bagel sandwich and plain coffee is a bit steep. Despite that, a great bagel spot!

Yelp
Mitch's Downtown Bagel Café in Fort Lauderdale isn't just a bagel shop--it's a lifestyle choice. You walk in, and it smells like New York moved south, got a tan, and decided to feed us bagels instead of disappointment. The bagels? Perfect. Crispy outside, chewy inside, schmear so fresh it probably had a name yesterday. Everything here is single-made--not a factory line, not a sad frozen import--just honest food crafted for actual humans. Now let's talk about the secret weapon: ordering ahead. You punch in your order on the app, roll up ten minutes later, and boom--bagel magic is waiting like you've got a private chef. It's Fort Lauderdale, where traffic is biblical and patience is extinct, so the fact that you can dodge the line feels like you've hacked breakfast. The service? Fast, friendly, efficient. Nobody's giving you attitude for asking for "light toast, heavy schmear, tomato on the side." They just make it happen. It's like New York service without the existential trauma. The only downside: it's expensive. You'll need a side hustle just to cover the bill. But at least you're paying for quality, not for a sad microwaved bagel that tastes like it died three weeks ago in a freezer. Worth it? Absolutely. Bagels this good justify their own price tier. Mitch's is Fort Lauderdale's bagel temple--order ahead, skip the chaos, and let them rob you with a smile. Staff is always super friendly and helpful--which makes me want to come back. It's always nice to also see things so fresh it's easy on the eyes tough on the pocketbook but oh so GOOD.

Yelp
The food and the service were spectacular. I recommend people to come here. Definitely coming back here every time.

Yelp
Nice and clean breakfast sammich joint with fresh ingredients and very friendly service. I ordered the Hangover add avocado on a brioche bun. It was 10/10 good. Fluffy scrambled, eggs, crispy bacon, melty American cheese, and ripe avocado. I also got the Nitro brew which was also delicious and put a nice pep in my step. I will definitely return here for breakfast!
google avatar

Marina D.

Yelp
Ordered through Uber Eats and everything arrived fresh and fast. The bagel and coffee were solid--nothing mind-blowing, but definitely hit the spot. A reliable, no-frills option when you need a quick pick-me-up!

Yelp
I've been really wanting to come to this newly opened Jewish Deli-like bagel shop since opening in Flagler Village little earlier this year (I think?!?) I have wanted a decent Pastrami on Rye for 5-6 months- and options in Ft Laud are pretty limited. Their space is beautiful and new, and open with plenty of seating inside and out on the sidewalk. Parking is limited to paid street parking :( The menu is large and features your bagels, breakfast sandwiches, other breakfast items and lunch Sammies. I ordered extra pastrami for $4, and it comes with a side (coleslaw, Mac salad, potato salad- a few others for upcharge). The sandwich was delicious and the pastrami was very good, and great deli mustard. Bread was thick and looked homemade. Half sour pickle was legit. Coleslaw was fresh and very good. I'm definitely coming back, I spoke to shift leader that gave me the owners cell phone # for some catering I often do. $25 for sandwich with extra meat no drink and tip, is a little pricey? That's like Katz's NYC pricing practically. Overall very good and deservedly of the reviews it's getting! Breakfast bagels seems to be the star here, and I'll be back really soon to try one :)

Joceline R.

Yelp
Highly recommend this spot to anyone! I have a new bagel spot worth the drive. The bagel was so filling and fluffy! My friend loved her wrap and said the sauce was the star in the chicken wrap. The French toast bites were the icing on the cake. Also, the staff were so friendly and the location has various seating options.

Kai O.

Yelp
I live next door to Mitch's ..over in the motif apts, and this has been my go-to for breakfast almost 1 a week! Their staff is super kind and amazing! The food is absolutely a staple! Maya is always so sweet and kind! Food is ready quick ! Love this place!

Yelp
Am visiting Florida from out of town and stopped into this bagel place after seeing good reviews on Yelp. Parking is on the street right outside the shop. You can place an order by either scanning the QR code on the table or standing in line (which goes fast)! I ordered a rainbow bagel with nova (salmon) and scallion cream cheese (it's on the menu, but can't remember the name). Bagel was really soft and delicious - almost got a New York type taste to it. My fiancé ordered a customized bagel breakfast sandwich and really liked it too. There's plenty of seating inside and we were able to find a table quickly. Many people order to-go, so there's people coming in and out all morning long. Definitely decent and worth the reviews!

Carolina M.

Yelp
Best bacon egg and cheese ever!! I highly recommend. Amazing service and delicious food
google avatar

Krishna P.

Yelp
Mitch's bagel's are awesome and they have so many options. Even a simple spread of butter on an everything bagel can say Good Morning like anything. The owners here are soooo down to earth. They have a water tumbler with cucumber that is so refreshing if you want to stick to zero calorie beverages plus coffee ofcourse. The service has always been prompt. The store is small but the layout is L shaped and doesnt make you feel that. You can order at the counter or by using their QR code at the table.
google avatar

Ellie W.

Yelp
WOW! I think this might be my favorite breakfast sandwich that I have tried in Fort Lauderdale. I ordered The BECTA which has egg, bacon, cheese, avocado and white truffle oil and I added a hash brown patty. It was so delicious I'm so impressed. The hash brown was still crispy even being wrapped in the sandwich foil and the egg was so flavorful. I also LOVE that they don't use the Florida avocados, I am not a fan of those so ordering this without knowing which avocado they use was a risk but it was well worth it they were perfectly ripe. Overall I'm super impressed with this sandwich and I can't wait to try more from their menu.

Coupon D.

Yelp
Had such a great breakfast here! The food is delicious, bagels are so yummy, and the service was impeccable! Can't wait to come back here on our next visit! The vibes are awesome all around!
google avatar

Carl B.

Yelp
I got a BEC. Pretty decent in a pinch, but for the price you can get the same thing $5 less just a stone throws away.

Angela C.

Yelp
Great spot to pick up breakfast or lunch! Their sandwiches, bagels and pastries are all delicious and the staff is super friendly!
google avatar

Kaiti M.

Yelp
The food was absolutely delicious!! We went family style and ordered several items. Everything was amazing! We will definitely be back!
google avatar

Avesta S.

Yelp
Two words: pastrami sandwich. If you fancy switching it up from your usual order, try their incredible pastrami and you won't be disappointed. Perfect weekend breakfast spot and yes, pastrami is fire in the AM. Pro tip: don't toast the rye and add mustard the classic way!!!
google avatar

Tanya S.

Yelp
Best bagel sandwiched in Fort Lauderdale for sure! The hangover breakfast sandwich is actually the best hangover cure!! The crispy hash brown inside of it is so delicious and they are generous with the amount of egg cheese and bacon. We literally love this place so much and always order it for delivery on the weekends!
google avatar

Ashley O.

Yelp
The hangover was hands down one of the best bagel sandwiches that I've ever eaten. I went right when then opened so there was no wait. The only downside was that several of their bagel options were not ready yet. I opted for an everything bialy since the everything bagel was not ready. I loved the pet friendly quaint cafe vibe.
google avatar

Miranda M.

Yelp
Yummy bagel shop in the heart of Fort Lauderdale.. I tried the rainbow bagel with scallion cream cheese, The Becta bagel & French toast bites everything was very delicious, however I was a little upset that when I was ordering the Becta bagel that cashier told me that I could not get a over easy egg because they were busy.I had the iced coffee with caramel, it was not my favorite but it was drinkable. The cafe is super cute with indoor and outdoor seating. The cafe is also dog friendly. It was super clean. The staff were super nice as well. Parking is street parking with a small fee. I will definitely go back again.
google avatar

Maria S.

Yelp
My first visit here was through a Yelp event and I enjoyed it so much I decided to return. I tried the bagel With cream cheese and while it's a simple item it is quite delicious! The service was good and the ambiance is welcoming. I do need to try more items but my companions told me what they ordered was really delicious too!
google avatar

Sunny M.

Yelp
Great bagel place in Fort Lauderdale. Their bagels are always perfect and their coffee is surprisingly delicious. I was shocked at how yummy the latte was here. They offer milk alternatives as well. My favorite thing here is their Tuna Melt and Fries! It's so hard to find a good tuna melt and this one is PERFECT! Always a stop when I'm in the area

Julie H.

Yelp
This place is absolutely worth the parking fee. I had the hangover part 2. It was a perfect blend of sweet and savory. Throw some cholula on it and it's just perfection. The French toast is a must when you come. The coffee is made with love too. I always go to the Hallandale location but might start going to this one. The service is always great and the place is always clean.

Nickolas Z.

Yelp
Customer service isn't the best. You may have to wait a long time to get your food. The ladies at the front seems to be more worried about having conversation conversations and talking about people that come in rather than doing their job and preparing food properly. I was also there during an altercation that the lady had with an Uber driver the Uber driver just wanted to grab the food and get on. He said the name multiple times for the customer, but the lady insisted that she sees the phone like she didn't know who he was talking about. He was treated poorly.

Stephen D.

Yelp
ordered a breakfast sandwich through DoorDash, which was a deal at buy one get one free. I got a delivery of only one sandwich, so I called Mitch's and explained the problem. Those jerks over there told me I have to go through DoorDash. Kiss my butt, you are the vendor, you should make it right! I will continue to trash this place as long as it stays in business, which probably isn't much longer.
google avatar

Yaa'Nina P.

Yelp
Delicious! Great service! Great location! Good bagels are hard to find, especially the ones that don't count as carbs.
google avatar

jordan l.

Yelp
I stopped by Mitch's Downtown Bagel and ordered The So Flo, and honestly, it was damn good. It came with egg whites, turkey bacon, Swiss cheese, avocado, and pesto--all packed into one perfectly baked bagel. The flavors actually worked together instead of fighting each other, which is rare. The pesto added a nice punch without being overpowering, and the Swiss melted just right over the egg whites. The turkey bacon gave it that salty kick, and the avocado pulled the whole thing together with that creamy texture. It's the kind of breakfast sandwich that tastes clean but still satisfying--basically, not your average greasy bagel bomb. Now, let's talk logistics. This place gets busy. Don't roll in thinking you'll be in and out unless you show up early or on a slow day. Also, it's not cheap--expect to pay for the quality. But in fairness, you're not getting something slapped together; everything tasted fresh and intentional.

Virginia M.

Yelp
Best bagel spot!!! First time coming in and will definitely be back!!! Staff was so friendly and food was fast.
google avatar

Miso J.

Yelp
Neighborhood staple. I'm mad because now it's popular so there is always a line on Saturdays lol but that's a good thing. I've had the pastrami on everything and let me tell you! Fire! They even have some beers and iced coffee if that's the vibe you're on. Owner is super nice and chill and their staff is super friendly.
google avatar

Justine T.

Yelp
We were in the area just passing time and decided to pop in for a quick breakfast. I wasnt expecting much from a bagel shop really but was pleasantly surprised about their selection. They have gourmet bagels and a wide selection of house cream cheese. It was a fairly big space and really clean inside. I've always wanted to get bagels but could never find an authentic bagel shop. You can order at your table with a QR code and they will bring it to your table which was very convenient. As for the food we got a rainbow bagel with vegetable cream cheese it was delicious but I was also expecting a more vibrant bagel color. We also got an onion bagel with avocado spread. To me the only thing is that the avocado bagel was fairly pricey it was about $10 for 1 bagel. I would come back to try their other bagels when I'm in the area for sure.
google avatar

Thuy N.

Yelp
I might actually be obsessed with Mitchs because I've been two days in a row this week & I honestly wish I tried sooner considering I live so close! The service is great & everyone is so nice. They are dog friendly even with bully breeds which is amazing & they will even give your dog treats. Everything is also clean, bright & modern. The iced coffee is not too sweet so it's perfect, the breakfast bagels are a good choice too & filling. I also recommend the chicken Caesar wrap. I definitely will be coming back
google avatar

Jorge G.

Yelp
Wow wow! Best sandwich shop in broward - offers in South florida!! I came here and ordered the corned beef sandwich and I was not disappointed. Although a little on the pricey side, it was worth the spend. The sandwiches here are actually packed with protein. They do not cheap out on you!! Very delicious. The people here are also very nice and the restaurant is very nice. Located in a perfect location. I wish I lived upstairs and I would be having this more often. Can't wait to come back!
google avatar

Jennifer G.

Yelp
Stopped by here as I was craving a good sandwich. And let me tell you that the food here was sooooo good. They do NOT cheap out on the food here!!! the sandwichi ordered had so much ham. You can tell they care about quality and making the best sandwich. I ordered the pastrami sandwich, an iced coffee and a fruit bowl. Loved it all. The coffee was perfect as well. Service was also amazing. Everyone here was so nice and smiled. You don't see that often anymore unfortunately. The restaurant was also very nice - very clean and modern. Perfect for a quick sit down lunch or brunch. The bagels also looked amazing. I need to come back here for a bagel!!!
google avatar

Jordan G.

Yelp
Stopped in here on a whim for a quick bite. We got a breakfast sandwhich, hashbrowns, latte and chicken salad sandwhich. Everything was so fresh and delicious, the service was great. Mickaela took such good care of us, she was so helpful when we were ordering and made sure everything came out good and kept checking on us. Would definitely recommend for a good meal and great service!
google avatar

Maiah F.

Yelp
The bagels here are delicious! I went on a Sunday morning and it was busy, but the service was still quick. I'm giving it a 4/5 instead of a 5/5 because of the cost. My sandwich, the Nova Supreme, was almost $20. They have other options that are less expensive though. It's a really cute place and the bagel sandwiches we got were good, so a nice place for a quick breakfast!
google avatar

James F.

Yelp
Wow !!!! This place is amazing Went there with my family . Great menu lots to choose from and the quality and quantity are fantastic. Great place for breakfast or Lunch. All the food was great but the BAGELS WERE SO GOOOOOOD . I live in Hallandale and they're opening a location close so I'll definitely become a regular . Sorry forgot to take pictures it was so good so I posted from there site .....

Yelp
Got a cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese. Service was a little slow but seemed it was due to a large amount of to go orders. The space is nice, clean and they have indoor and outdoor seating options. A good place to spot for a bagel in downtown Fort Lauderdale.
