We hadn’t been to Mix Bowl Thai Food in 18 years, and we are thrilled to say it’s still the best Thai food we’ve ever had! The restaurant is just as nice and clean as we remembered, with a welcoming and cozy atmosphere. The servers were incredibly friendly and attentive, making our dining experience even better. And the food? Absolutely amazing! Every dish was full of bold flavors and cooked to perfection, reminding us why this place has always been a favorite. It’s rare to find a restaurant that stands the test of time, but Mix Bowl Thai Food has managed to maintain its high quality and charm. We’re so glad we returned and won’t wait another 18 years to come back! Highly recommend.

It was my first time, and it wasn't as bad as I thought and it was worth it.. The atmosphere was good and food was good. The serving staff was kind and the food came out quickly. I'll come again next time.

Good food and affordable, waiting in line wasn’t so bad even on weekends. Preparation foods was very fast from their kitchen. Overall we were happy with our foods and services also nice. Parking very spacious and this is the reason I love to come to this restaurant, no stress of parking lots at all. Very good and recommended 👍🏻

Skimped out on the protein when asked for extra, I would have paid for it. They said the only do what's on the menu. And then they skimped me out on the protein. it looks like there's a descent amount but they spread it out look like there's a lot. Got the duck and BBQ pork gave me a shiii ton of rice. Never coming back her paid $36 for this

I accidentally discovered this restaurant while waiting for my Toyota to be repaired. It doesn't have a exquisite outlook, but it has an authentic taste, just like the delicious food I had in Thailand. If you like Thai food, come here. by the way, employee Minnie had a really good service

Craved yummy Thai food tonight so called in a take out order. They are always polite on the phone and read back your order to confirm. The food's always ready by the time I arrive 20 min later. I ordered a Tom yum soup (medium spicy), a glass noodle soup, pad see ewe chicken, and pad ka pow chicken on rice. Still hot when I brought it home, very tasty!

Been wanting to try this place and surprisingly today was not busy. Service was easy we got seated right away. There's a lot of items on the menu and that's the way it should be. Food was delicious and very flavorful. If you're looking for a Thai spot that quick and easy this place does not disappoint. It has the Home feel so feel free to eat your food and wind down. This place is amazing good food and good people definitely will come back

This place was at a weird location and I wasn't sure if the reviews matched up with the hype. I was completely wrong. This place had a great selection of food, but the inside felt like the old interior of Wendy's. I got a pad Thai and that was solid with how everything wasn't overpowering but just right. My friends got the red curry and fried chicken. One of the best fried chickens I've ever had. This place lived all the way up and higher than my expectations. Please go here!

This place is so yummy and fun! I stopped in today for some lunch and decided to try the garlic spare ribs and I'm so glad I did. Delicious!! And I also got my favorite the pineapple fried rice. Both were perfect and as always super friendly staff there helping with orders. If you're craving Thai, Mix Bowl hits just right!!

I visited Mix Bowl Cafe with a friend, and I was amazed by how affordable the prices were! The food was delicious, and the portions were great. One dish that stood out to me was actually their Kanom Pak Kapd, which is vegetarian dish with fried taro rice cake, bean sprouts, scrambled egg, and green onions. It was so good and unique. Please note that you can also adjust the sweetness level for their Thai tea, which is a plus for me! We came during the summer, and it was very warm inside. I wish there was better air conditioning inside for the summer months. I would advise against dining in during the summer if you're sensitive to the heat.

If you're in the area, go to Mix Bowl. If you're not in the area, drive to the area, and go to Mix Bowl. Our go to items are a combination of the following....General's Noodle Soup, Crispy Chicken Over Rice, Pad See Ewe, Egg Rolls, and BBQ Pork Over Rice. You cant go wrong with any of those dishes. Service is good and seating is plentiful. I haven't had to wait longer than 5 minutes for a table in any of my recent visits.

This place is a must when I'm in the area. The food is so good and tasty. The portion is big and the price is cheap compared to other Thai restaurants. My favorite food is the spicy catfish, Kanom Pak kard, and Kai Kua. The service is great and the waitress is nice. The restaurant is clean and the parking lot is big. So there shouldn't be any issues with parking spot. Definitely recommend this place if you are looking for authentic Thai restaurant.

I've been coming here since this place has opened; I came to pick up an order today and had no utensils so I came back and had asked for some. A rude response was made from one of the waitresses; She immediately responded " By law we don't need to give utensils ." She proceeded to stand there with an unwelcoming look until one of the employees stepped in and gave me some.

This is my first time eating at Mix bowl and I was very impressed with the quality and flavor of the food. This is definitely one of my favorite dishes. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by a very nice staff member. My food order was done very quickly. Very nice looking restaurant with a chill atmosphere. I recommend mix bowl to all my friends and family.

00 -- The staff are very unwelcoming to customers with service dogs. They asked inappropriate questions about my health and what my dog does for me. Not his tasks. After a few mins of explaining with my family there they asked for documentation, which I had I showed proof of my service dog and then they sat us in back. We felt so uncomfortable and dirty stares we got up and left. Many on social media said they have had bad experiences as I asked on multiple platforms and communication restaurant earing out groups. We have patronize this restaurant for years and I have pictures of my service dog in there before this. It happened too many times; it's discrimination. The food quality it not the same eating in vs take out. You get less ingredients and portions. Any service dog breed should be welcomed ADA

The place was my busy at all around 5pm on a Tuesday night. I've been here many times before. I used to live Sanamluang but their food has gotten worst and their prices have increased. Mixed Bowl has been here many years. It is down the street from Sanamluang. I think they are on par with Sanamluang. I liked the salmon green curry. The portion of salmon was good. The green curry was just right. I also liked the spicy chili class. It was mildly spicy and there were a good amount of clams. The service is good and attentive. The place was clean.

I got the chapo. The meat look gray and didn't taste right. They are also very expensive and the portions are very small. I will never go back or recommend them to anyone.

My favorite Thai place. Great portions and flavors are beyond greatness. I've been coming here for over 10 years. Although the decor has changed many times, the flavor hasn't changed at all. Prices are very reasonable. Authentic in every way. I think i've only eaten at one other tie spot in all of these years. Uncomparable to the rest.

Been coming here for years My favorite Thai place Tum yum curry with shrimp and sticky white rice is my favorite. Service is always great and they are wonderful. My husband forgot his debit card and she ran outside to our car and was relieved that she found us. We were so grateful. Food is amazing, plenty of flavor and delicious. The inside and outside looks the same, plenty of seating and clean.

I ordered egg rolls, chicken fried rice and Pad Kee Mow.The egg rolls and fried rice were fairly standard, I had an issue with the Pad Kee Mow, they used ground chicken which I have never seen before anywhere, it was odd and gave it a weird texture. The menu does not say Ground Chicken.

Been coming here for a while food has always been good. But today 4/18/2024 my wife and me had a bad experience we ordered sea food soup and there was a roasted water bug in our soup after discovering that we lost our appetite. We requested not to get charged for the remaining of our order. The owner did remove the charge and only charged us for the drinks . Sad to say but I don't think we will be coming back.

My boyfriend and I came here yesterday for lunch. All the staff is very kind and food is delicious. Very reasonably priced, this place will probably be one of our regular spots.

I used to love this place, after moving away, I passed by and ordered one #42 to go. It was Sad beyond describing. From the old time 5 stars were now reduced to None stars if there's a choice instead of one lonely star. The cute red BBQ pork was not fresh might be due to being exposed too long, the price is still growing with inflation. I should know before I entered, during busy lunchtime the huge parking lot surrounding this freestanding building store, only about 5,6 cars for employees. This time would be my last time purchasing here, contracts to come here 3,4 times a week while I'd worked in Uplands 6 years back.

Another great find on yelp!! working in Pomona area didn't know where to eat with a customer searching yelp and this place popped up. Great assortment of food. Everything looked good. Everybody was eating. We decided to eat family style. Take a look at what we ate very good.

Mix Bowl in Pomona: Our go to place for casual, fast service Thai food. We mostly like their soups, grilled meats, duck, chili fish & fried rice. For us, their noodle dishes are not as good. Lots of parking, located on busy street.

Many friends used to come here a lot during years, but I had never been here until now. The service was pretty quick, and the food came in a timely manner. The pad thai I wish was a bit more flavorful but it was still good. I love my Thai food!

I used to come here all the time 3-4 years ago and this was our go to spot for that food. Things have definitely changed a lot now.. We came here on a staurday night around 9pm and with 7 of us and it was about a 10-15 min wait. However we were seated fairly quickly. They then told us the kitchen closes at 9:30 so the last orders need to be made before 9:30. I was pretty surprised because they close at 10p. They used to be open until 1am but it has since changed. So we quickly ordered and the food came out very fast which was definitely appreciated since we had kids with us. The first thing I noticed was that their portion size has drastically decreased. The portions used to be huge and shareable with 4-5 ppl. I'd say that it's now around 2-3ppl and their prices have increased. I get the pandemic has hit restaurants hard but increased prices and decreased portions? It's hit the consumer too.. anyways.. The food was very tasty probably the best padthai and pads see ew I've tasted. So awesome job there. Wish there was more though.. It was about 9:45 and they started locking the doors.. wait.. don't you close at 10pm? There were customers trying to get in and they turned them away saying last call was at 9:30pm.. if last call was at 9:30 you should change your hours to close at 9:30.. We got our bill and it included a 15% gratuity.. wait.. there's 7 of us.. I thought gratuity is added on for 8 ppl.. there was nowhere on the menu that said gratuity is charged for 7 ppl or more.. Anyways food was great, service was great and the food came out quick which was awesome.. however, portion size, increased prices and closing times is why they ended up with 3 stars..

My first time trying this Thai restaurant and I wasn't really impressed. I believe Yelp is correct at rating the restaurant at a 3 1/2 star rating. The weather was hot today and the air conditioning wasn't cool (making it not the most comfortable dining experience.) I wouldn't recommend the vermicelli dish at all - it was extremely dry and bland. The fish cake, catfish and pad see ew were better choices, but just okay. Service was also just okay. The experience felt like eating at fast food Thai restaurant where everything was average. The menu and the pictures of food are great tho.

I can't believe I paid $14 for a salad that's probably only worth $8. This establishment has been around for years with a decent reputation but I'm not a big fan of Thai food. I probably should've picked actual Thai food instead of the salad, but I played it safe. I got the "beef" salad I out quotes because I don't really know what that meat was. It bad the nastiest after taste that grossed me out. Not to offend cultures but with what I've been reading lately as far as meats being used in culturally ethnic foods, this one specific made me really wonder what was I eating?! The lemon flavored dressing couldn't even offset the flavor of that "beef". Seeing old pictures of the menu when the salad was $7.50, it should've remained priced the same, cuz that's what it was really worth IMO. The prices are pretty high but probably the same as other establishments. The service was less than good. I had read other reviews that mentioned the staff was rude or not as attentive and I felt the same. Right when I walked in a guy just ignored me, no one greeted me or as if I wanted to seat, or get take out, nothing. I walked up to the cashier and the lady practically ignored me. Could've been a language barrier, who knows. I placed my order and it was made fairly quickly. The restaurant itself is always pretty packed when I drive by and this time was no different. The ambiance is normal. They have plenty of seating throughout. I definitely wouldn't recommend the "beef" salad, but if I ever go back I'll take my chances and try something with chicken or shrimp next time.

Pretty slow service and food was bad. Pad thai was too saucy, sweet, and heavy. Thai tea tasted too artificial.

Clean restaurant, but the food now is not good. I noticed they change ownership. The girl that sell fried banana/ employee bought that restaurant. The beef salad, don't ever order that. Cucumbers were slimy and rotten and the beef is not fresh either. Looks like an old almost spoiled beef and turn greenish on the outer part. Hard. Pad Thai is very saucy. Less noodles, and we order shrimp but they gave us a mix with tofu chunk?!! Not fair! The spicy cat fish is very salty the sauce. Never going back to this place anymore! Used to be a loyal customer. Parking is not as busy as before. Only few cars.

The duck on rice and the Tom Kha hit the spot. Pad Thai could have been better, but the first two dishes mentioned were what made the trip worth it. We were about done eating when the catfish arrived, which has some bones by the way--It was different but tasty in it's own way. Everything was a flavor feast.

Been here a few times. They have great food at a fair price. They are also pretty fast making the food. Took about 18 min to have our food coming out in increments and by 25 min everything was out on the table. Would eat at this place again

Customer service is not an option in this restaurant. The food is decent I have been coming for years always take it to go because they are rude and they never come to check on customers , and when they do they are irritated. I came in with my family today and usually I always leave a tip even when the service is not great. I went to pay my bill and informed the lady that I was going to leave a cash tip. She then proceeds to yell at the lady who was supposed to be our server " ask her for cash!" I go back to my table to let them know I need to leave them cash and need to grab my purse for the tip (paid via Apple Pay) I'm walking to the door and three of the ladies followed me asking me about the tip again and then one of them proceeds to tell me "NEXT TIME JUST ORDER TO GO!" I was like wtf I was going to get my purse because I wanted you to get the full tip instead of using my Apple Pay.... So I got annoyed and went back to my table where my family was still eating and told them that I wanted to leave now. And I didn't leave them a tip because who is harrasing people for a tip and on top of that we have to be chasing you for a cup of water

We came in on a rainy Sunday night to get our favorites: Garlic Pork Spare Ribs, Pad See Ew, and Spicy Mint Leaf Fried Rice. It was just the 2 of us so we were seated right away and placed our order. Shout out to all the waiting staff. They were all great!! One of them even took the time to explain the chili sauce inquiry that I had. They filled our water and asked how everything was. The food was awesome. Good price, quality, and portion. We had a really good dining experience here.

I always mostly get takeout because they have really good Mango Sticky Rice. It's quick and they kinda know me already when I call to order. More easy going place and food is also good.

Visited on Saturday, 03/26/22 for the very first time. This place is very well known in Pomona. I heard of this place before since my teachers from middle school and high school would always praise about Mix Bowl, but I've never tried it until now. There were a lot of people dining in and waiting to pick up their take out! I ordered the following to-go: 1) #39 - PAD THAI: $11:50 2) #41) PAD-SEE-EWE: $11.50 (beef) TOTAL W/ TAX: $25.36 Both dishes were tasty and delicious however not as great as Sanamluang located a few blocks away. In terms of quality, Sanamluang is way better. Mix Bowl is more of a fast-food version of Sanamluang; their pad-see-ewe noodles were very soggy and the noodles were literally stuck with one another, so the presentation didn't look as appetizing as it should be. The Pad Thai was alright however I only counted 2 shrimps. I only waited for 10 minutes for my order. Overall 3/5. I am still down to try out their other dishes. They have a huge and clean parking lot as well.

I usually love this place, but the last few times it hasn't been great. First, when I called in my order, the person who took my order over the phone didn't ask my name for the order, didn't ask me what spice level I wanted for my Tom Kha soup, and didn't tell me how long it would take. When I arrived, they asked my name. Since they didn't have my name, they asked what I had ordered. I asked what the spice level of the soup was, and they said if I didn't tell them, I should assume it is made medium. They've always asked me, but apparently, I should assume that I need to tell them, even though it's never been that way in all the years since I've been ordering from there. They offered to remake it, but I took responsibility for my mistake. Once I got the food home, the pad thai and pad see ew were decent, not mushy like last time, but the peanut sauce that comes with the chicken sate was unrecognizable and the mini cucumber salad was dry. It was as if they put the liquid from the cucumber into the peanut sauce. I assume it was a mistake and not a change to their method. I would hope it wasn't on purpose simply because I questioned why they didn't do a good job over the phone. I think I might need to find a new thai food spot, too bad.

Above average food and service. I like this place a lot. The prices are reasonable. The soups are good.

I got the green curry, which is my favorite there. I asked them to make it with the fish ball; it was great. Very, very, few place have fish ball as an option with their dishes. I would return again, and again, for the green curry. I always like their papaya salad and rad nah (I'm sure the spelling is wrong; : ). I usually get my orders to go but, when I eat in; I'm always relaxed.

The food there is delicious and you better have an appetite for something new my family and I always have the Pad Ka Paow over rice with pork meat you better have a high tolerance for spicy food with a boba and a glass of water. Hostess and waitress are very friendly food doesn't take long if isn't busy of course but if you can you could also place your order on the phone

This was one of my favorite spots to come to during my childhood! Pad See Eaw and Red Milk from Mix Bowl... That was heaven to little 13-year-old me. 9 years later... Mix Bowl is still a gem! They did raise the prices of course, but not too unreasonable. Their huge menu is still as big as I remember. Lots of variety! There's something for anyone who visits. I highly recommend any of their noodles dishes. This visit, my family got takeout. After a 30 minute car ride from Pomona, our food was still warm! I ordered the Kai Kua. It was pretty delicious, but lacked vegetables or something to combat the oil. The squid and the chicken in the dish were wonderful and were cooked well. I just wish there had bean sprouts or some sort of vegetable beside lettuce (which was wilted after the car ride). My family really enjoyed the Pad Kee Mow, Seafood Soup, and Crispy Chicken Over Rice! Overall, I still love Mix Bowl and will definitely return in the future. It will always be a nostalgic spot, but I'll definitely have to be in the Pomona area when I get it. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here.

If you like Thai food this is the place to try its been a staple here for many years. Me and my girlfriend come here at least once a month. The menu is so big there is options for vegetarian aswell.

Great food. The nurses from Pomona Valley Hospital swear by it! So being the husband to one of these nurses I had to try it. I was not disappointed.

Came here to grab a quick dinner. I actually found this restaurant through DoorDash and picked up my food since it wasn't that far from me. I ordered the chicken fried rice and a Thai tea boba. They were both on the top rated list on DoorDash so I figured I'd try it. It definitely did not disappoint! The fried rice was super filling and hit the spot. The boba wasn't the greatest, but the Thai tea had a nice flavor to it. Definitely coming back to try other items on the menu!
