I usually love this place, but the last few times it hasn't been great.
First, when I called in my order, the person who took my order over the phone didn't ask my name for the order, didn't ask me what spice level I wanted for my Tom Kha soup, and didn't tell me how long it would take.
When I arrived, they asked my name. Since they didn't have my name, they asked what I had ordered. I asked what the spice level of the soup was, and they said if I didn't tell them, I should assume it is made medium. They've always asked me, but apparently, I should assume that I need to tell them, even though it's never been that way in all the years since I've been ordering from there. They offered to remake it, but I took responsibility for my mistake.
Once I got the food home, the pad thai and pad see ew were decent, not mushy like last time, but the peanut sauce that comes with the chicken sate was unrecognizable and the mini cucumber salad was dry. It was as if they put the liquid from the cucumber into the peanut sauce. I assume it was a mistake and not a change to their method. I would hope it wasn't on purpose simply because I questioned why they didn't do a good job over the phone.
I think I might need to find a new thai food spot, too bad.
