MIXT Salads

Staff was excellent. Very welcoming, quick, and efficient. The portions for the price were tiny, though. Especially the rice in the bowl I got. Rice is usually a cheap filler, but I got maybe a half cup in a $14 bowl. I feel bad for the workers because they’re cool and it seems like they’ve been instructed to give small portions, but honestly I’m gonna go to chipotle next time I want something like this because their food to cost ratio blows this store out of the water.

For the third time, I’ve ordered a salad where they did not put in all the ingredients that were stated in one of their predetermined salads. To make matters worse I wanted to call the restaurant so that they could receive the feedback with the same crew who prepared the order. However, they don’t have a phone number you can call. In order to resolve this, apparently, I’m going to have to get in the car and drive there. I like their salads, but this lack of service more than a few times is not worth it.

This place has a wide selection of salads and other healthy options. The fried cauliflower is easily one of the best cooked vegetable I’ve EVER had. The crispiness of the florets and the sriracha ranch dipping sauce, are a match made in heaven. Portion sizes of the salads are also extremely filling.

Editing to say: they did at least refund my order, which I appreciate. Willing to give them another shot - bumped up a star. A friend recommended this place and it’s close to where I work, so I was really excited to try it. I put in my first order today (had to do delivery because I can’t leave my work) and the food arrived super quickly and was visibly fresh and looked lovely. Unfortunately, my salad was supposed to come with chicken, but it did not. And I requested no avocado (love it but I have an intolerance), and there was avocado. The business model is that they don’t offer telephone support — they say their email support is “rather quick”, but it’s been over two hours since I emailed them with no reply. I’m not a picky eater; I removed the avocado and ate my sad little salad, but this meal was supposed to hold me all day, and I paid for protein. The parts of the salad that I did get to eat were very good. It’s just that my 880 calorie salad was probably closer to 440 cal without the chicken and avocado, and I’m going to be hungry before I can leave. Hoping customer service will make this right.

I order food from this place once a week because the quality, freshness, and consistency, and I always get Mandarin fried chicken salad on the menu. Today, the mandarin tasted like it’s been cut and left in the container for entire week already. no one wants to spend 20 dollars and eat rotten food. Please do it better.

The salads here are always good and fresh. They have over 20 different toppings to choose from. You can't go wrong if you like salad mixT is the place for you.

I've gone here a couple of times, when it was someone else's choice. It was ok but way too much to spend on a casual salad and is more trendy imo. I'd go to a handful of places before this one or make my own, but it does always look pretty busy, and a lot of people love it. Again these are just my personal opinions toward salad. It rated in the top 2 fav local restaurants at our company. I'd try it and make your own opinion.

This is a good place to grab a quick, healthy meal. You can build your own salad, grain bowl, or plate from their huge display of ingredients (if you don't want one of the menu items). They definitely have everything you'd want from the veggie, nut, fruit, and cheese categories along with other interesting toppings. I wish their roasted veggies had a bit more flavor to them; they don't seem much different from the raw veggies after sitting out. Another area for improvement would be to chop the greens at least a little bit. Otherwise, they give fast, friendly service with generous portions. I certainly wouldn't mind coming here every now and then when I'm not in the mood to cook.

Came here for a mini lunch date with my bby and we decided to try this place out. I knew their cookies were to die for! My old coworker used to work here and she'd always bring me a cookie from here. I can't remember what exactly we got but I lovovveeddd my salad and so did my bby. This place definitely hit the spot but it's a bit pricey for it to be just salad lol. Don't get me wrong it's the best salad you will ever have, I give them that lol.

I love this MIXT location. The salad was excellent. I got it to go. But they didn't give us any cutlery. Luckily, I had some in the car. So no deductions because the salad was SOOOOOOO good. We had the Elote. I also love the Cowboy. I finally ventured away from my usual Cowboy and went with the Elote. It was AWESOME!!

We ordered lunch delivery for 5 that totaled $152. I guess that's an average salad lunch in the Bay Area, especially using a delivery app. The portions were big, salads very filling. I had the beetnik with tofu. I didn't care for the creamy balsamic. Between the marinated tofu and avocado, the only thing needed for this salad is a little salt, pepper, and vinegar.

I have mixed opinions on salad bowls - I often times think that they are very overpriced, but Mixt does it pretty well. It's in line with the prices you'd expect at other salad lunch places - but I think they add a whole lot more. This represents probably the best of the salad chains you can find. I ordered their bachelor salad. Their portions are large - I felt pretty full after eating mine. I think they have creative mixes of ingredients they offer in their bowls and all ingredients taste high quality. The bachelor bowl came with beef and the beef was cooked very well - the perfect texture for a salad. I got the dressing on the side (as is the default option when you order for pickup online) - and the dressing was incredibly taste. It paired with all of the ingredients perfectly. The bowl was very large so it make it super easy to toss/mix the salad.

I've been coming to Mixt regularly for around two years now and I figure it's about time I wrote a review. Before Mixt, I was the type of person who would think it'd be crazy to pay money for a salad. "Salads don't fill you up and vegetables are cheap! I can just make a salad at home." After Mixt, my whole perspective changed. Not only are their portions pretty sizable, the concepts of their salads are fairly unique and more importantly delicious, fresh, and balanced. On top of the great food, the workers are always, and I mean ALWAYS, so welcoming and friendly. I walk away from Mixt aways feeling full and nourished and happy. The food is indeed expensive but given the quality and experience I think it's worth it, especially knowing the company is b-corp certified and part of the cost goes towards employee benefits. Things I've gotten: Bachelor salad - my favorite salad from mixt because it comes with roasted potatoes haha. It also comes with bleu cheese but I sub that for extra potatoes. Elote salad - if you like corn this would definitely be my pick Peach salad - a salad on the sweeter and more tart side Harvest salad - tastes like fall haha Crispy chicken sandwich - best bang for your buck here in my opinion. Bachan's bowl - very filling and delicious! They didn't ask for how much dressing i'd prefer so I wonder if that's fixed for the warm bowls, but i'd have prefer a tad more sauce for next time.

Really nice folks at this mixt location. Noticed lately the person at the register and the manager are really nice. Been getting really good service which just isn't the norm lately. Also been getting mixt salads for years now. I love having a quick healthy option all my friends are down for. Haha I guess this is being in your 30s. Recommend it if you need a healthy meal.

An easy spot to order from if you're on-the-go. Located on Broadway, Mixt is ideal for those nearby and want a quick meal to grab. You order from the counter, and you can choose to customize your meal or to order one of their presets. Their portions are large and they make it relatively fast. I went around 6:30pm, and the place was pretty quiet and not crowded. I got the Pacifica Crispy Chicken bowl, and although it was very filling, it wasn't as tasty. The bowl itself also didn't look as appetizing as I hoped it would be, and the chicken wasn't as crunchy. There was a lot of different textures in the bowl, since you had salad mixed with rice, chicken, pumpkin seeds, and more. I wasn't too impressed with what I had, but I do see the appeal in getting a quick meal.

Good customer service and even better food! This dish was delicious, but had a lot of the sauce. The place was definitely good to converse with a friend and that atmosphere was nice with good low level music

Ordered on DoorDash. My salad is missing avocado, cucumer and carrots!! My last order was also missing avocado but I let it slide. This is ridiculous! I paid over $20 for lettuce and chicken

Ordered the falafel salad through DoorDash and rcvd not even half of a salad. I know that inflation is kicking everyone's behind but I cannot imagine that lettuce is that much more expensive. The other portions are smaller too. I've ordered this salad for years. The food service was beyond disappointing.

I'm not sure what it is that will get me to pay for overpriced salad but, I absolutely love the way they make them. My favorite go to is the Harvest, add yellow beets and extra cheese with the grilled chicken. And why is it if you tried to make it at home it just never tastes the same? This location is restricted on convenient parking but they have great employees and it's always clean.

This place used to be great- it was always expensive but you got quality. However like all chains, as they grow things slip. Today my $20.00 salad was missing 2 toppings and was warm. Who wants a salad that's like warm? Also, isn't the name mixed?? Shouldn't the salad be mixed? The icing on cake was their customer service who is an outsourced partner. They refused to refund my salad even though it was missing 2-3 of the main ingredients.

If you're looking for a healthy choice this is it, they have so many different salads I want to try them all. My husband loves salads so I took him here the other day. He made his own salad, and I ordered the mixt Cobb with the fried chicken. And it was so delicious and flavorful. The bacon and chicken were perfectly crispy. Can't wait to go back and try other items on the menu. Any recommendations? The service was great also !!

This was my first time ordering from this Mixt location. Forgive the pun, but the experience was mixed. I had no complaints about the taste or quality of ingredients. The portion, however, left something to be desired. I ordered on the app and designed my own grain bowl with RightRice and arugula. I added spiced candied almonds, lentils, house-baked falafel crumbles, edamame, and roasted golden beets. I chose champagne vinaigrette for my dressing. When I got home and opened the container, I saw how much empty space there was. I opened the fridge and grabbed some chicken and cabbage to throw on top to make my dinner a little bit heartier. Besides the bowl itself being far from full, there was also not enough salad dressing -- definitely less than sweetgreen has provided in the past. I did like that Mixt offers free dog biscuits! Of course, that isn't why I was there. Based on many of the other recent reviews, it seems like Mixt (or at least this location) has really cut back on its portions. Split just closed across the street...Mixt could be next.

it was very hot tonight so I thought a delivery salad would be perfect for dinner. I've had their salads before and enjoyed them. I ordered directly from them, thinking it would be more reliable. However, tonight, my order for two salads arrived missing one of the salads. Very disappointing. (I didn't notice until I opened the bag- and the delivery driver was long gone). There is no phone number anywhere to call them and find out what happened, or ask for a replacement (to try to save dinner). They charged me for both salads. Their "help" chat is nothing but a bot who doesn't help at all. I will never go back there. There are too many options around here that give good service to waste my time with this nonsense.

Delicious salad. I want to try more salads. Portion sizes are very generous. Only recommendation is to ask for extra dressing because the size is small.

My salad was so gross, if I had a choice I would not have chosen this place. I got a free lunch from here as a part of a retreat from work. The fact that I'm writing a bad review for free food should say a lot. Everything was bad about it, peaches were hard, falafels were the size of a pea and tasted like cardboard, dressing was gross. I do not recommend wasting your money here.

We were really disappointed by the grilled chicken that was served on Sunday, August 11th, between 5:30PM and 6:30PM. We have been coming to this Mixt location for years, and we have never had grilled chicken this salty at any of their current locations. What we will do next time is to ask to taste test the grilled chicken before we order it to make sure it is not a bad batch.

The staff here is very friendly and normally get the orders correct. But, today, they didn't put any chicken in the Elote salad within my order and it is very frustrating when you place to-go orders to make it all the way home in a race against the clock before a work meeting starts to find that the portion of your salad that actually makes you feel full is missing, especially when their only means of customer support if through their app (no customer service phone number). They need to do a better job of quality control because this has happened a few times now.

Sometimes you just need a quick workday lunch salad! The Puebla and Harvest salad (available in the fall) are my go-tos. I love the diversity and freshness of their ingredients. The one unfortunate thing is that their marinated tofu is far from neutral - it's drenched in this weird sauce - so I avoid getting it as the protein. It would be much better if they did nothing to it so that it would actually go with all of their dressings.

Today, I went into Mixt on Broadway in Oakland, CA and ordered "a side of crispy cauliflower". The person taking my order said "so you want a portion?" To which I said "I want a side of crispy cauliflower". She said something but I didn't hear her as she was no longer at the register. I then got 2 pieces of cauliflower and when i asked her "what is this?" She said, "that's why I asked you" Please note: A Portion is not an option on menu. Poor, subpar service on a simple order. I was so upset I walked out without getting my money back.

Mobile ordered for pickup. They have some salads you can choose from on the menu or you can build your own. We chose from the menu. My brother said he usually orders the falaf salad and it's awesome. We tried some other options today. My brother had a seasonal salad, the peachy. He said it was awesome; the peaches and cornbread crumbles, yum!! I had the Puebla and loved it. The crispy chicken and the Puebla dressing were super good. Portion sizes are also great. The salad was so tasty I meant to eat half but ate all of it. The crispy cauliflower are good too but don't stay crispy long. The Siracha sauce it comes with is super good. Parking is a little tough here, especially if you're picking up. I double parked and ran in quickly. Luckily the food was ready and there was no line. I definitely will order from here again and can't wait to try more of their salads!

IF YOU ORDER DELIVERY then MAKE a Special REQUEST that the SALAD Preparer change their GLOVES I ordered the custom salad and the girl behind the counter was wearing gloves and had just wiped counters with a wash cloth. She asked which greens I wanted and I said the mixt greens. She then proceeded to grab a handful of green with the same gloves. I asked her to change her gloves and she gave me an annoyed look. I was flabbergasted that this was a raw food place and the level of hygiene was so poor.

!!BUGS!! DONT NOT ORDER FROM HERE!! Ordered from uber eats and as im 1/4 of the way into my beetnik salad I notice a bug on my finger. As I pay closer attention, I notice DOZENS of bugs crawling out of my food. SO GROSS! And the worst part is they have no phone number to contact them so they will probably continue to serve food littered in bugs all day :( I have been throwing up for half hour now. Am calling 311 to issue complaint with EH as I see they have other similar reviews!!

just an fyi. the falafel bowl will get you 4 small falafel balls. 17 bucks. Go to a middle eastern spot and get your worth of giant falafel balls instead. Mixt is one of the reasons why the bay is so unsustainable and headed towardss a massive economic failure

I had a DYO vegan salad here. The options included; kale, butter lettuce, sliced almonds, fresh blackened Brussel sprouts, cucumber, vinaigrette dressing, you get to pick five toppings, then the dressing For $11.95! you can't beat that deal...the freshest ingredients, hand picked, and suited to you're diet. The portion was a solid medium and I was happy with it. Optional half slice of fresh bead is offered and a treat. Tip: get you're dressing on the side!

Last time I ordered from their app I never received my order and they refused to return my money! Will never order from them again. They lost a regula customer.

Mixt can't get a delivery order right to save their life. This is the second time in a row I received the wrong salad dressing and it's pissing me off bad.

Why does MIXT always insist on beating their salads to a pulp? I ordered an elote salad today with very high hopes. I ordered to-go and even requested dressing on the side, so it wouldn't be soggy after my 10 minute walk home. But surprise, surprise, MIXT outdid itself and made sure my salad would be as sad and wilted as possible. Honestly, I'm shocked at how much effort it took to abuse fresh, well-prepared ingredients. My salad looks like freakin' coleslaw even without any dressing. It's also missing the tomatoes, which would have been the thing to give it that extra sumthin' sumthin'. I'm giving it more than one star just because the ingredients themselves were great, but the execution sucked. I'm so hangry right now. MIXT, for people who like eating wet socks.

I'm going 5 stars. We had 3 people with different dietary restrictions and everyone is very very happy. I appreciated them checking on the amount of dressing to add to my salad. I don't care for overdressed greens. Fast, good service, but most of all fresh and tasty!!

MIXT is restaurant that specializes in making delicious salads. You can go there and have one made to your choices, or have a pre-made salad delivered to your house. I chose to have a Caesar Salad, and it was very good. The flavors and ingredients blended together nicely. Someone knew what they were doing. In my brief time on the "Salad Rack" of a particular fast food restaurant, I learned there's 2 kinds of salads. There's the type where knowledgeable people blend flavors and ingredients together, to make a salad you can't stop eating. The other is where you grab a handful of each item according to a recipe, and present it to your customer....."Here ya go!" MIXT makes good salads. That's important if you're on a diet or just want to eat healthier meals. You want to enjoy your food, that way you stay with it. A diet is not a punishment, it's a change of lifestyle.

I've only had their warm Mediterranean salad, but that is so so good. It just has an amazing blend of flavors. My family loved their salads as well. I think one of them had a Cobb salad and I'm not sure what the other one was. Really really delicious.

I'm going to start this review by saying it's not my style to blast companies publicly without reason. I have tried to resolve this issue several times, to no avail. Two nights ago, I ordered a salad just before closing, and became extremely ill in the middle of the night. I have had cramps in my stomach ever since. Went to the store the following day text press my concerns and a teller took my information along with the receipt and said I would be contacted. It has been two days since this occurred and no one has bothered to reach out. I have contacted them again, to no avail. My stomach has been violently ill ever since I ate the salad

I ordered for pick up, I spent about $21 on the salad, which is insane to me, but I was trying to be healthy and They forgot my dressing.

Good salad when done right. Better check your order when you pick up. Quite often it is missing items. Emailing the customer service doesn't help at all. They never reply back. I wouldn't place this review if they had replied any of my emails. This place could be a lot better.

Mixt Cobb salad my absolute fave ! I order this same salad over and over again and always ask for extra dressing ! Vegetables are always fresh

The food is a great quick and healthy option in town! I tend to order and pick when I'm driving thru so I don't get to experience much of the service and ambiance however everyone I interact with is so nice!

Ordered online. Very disappointed. The beet salad had very few beets in it and the peach and chicken salad was awful. Won't order again.

I ordered the Orchard Salad today with the grilled chicken... there was no chicken. See attached photo. $18.50. I've been coming here for a while, but this place is going down hill. Forget it!

Alright so my pictures for this post suck. I'ma just get it out the way . My pictures suck but Mixt is dope AF. They had such a large selection, and fresh ingredients to design your own salad the way you like It. You won't hear people bitching about removing ingredients here (@ talking about people who remove onions/tomatoes ) lol. They make the salad how you want it . The salad is huge btw so be prepared to have it for lunch the next day or share with a friend . The fried cauliflower was recommended by the staff when I asked what the most litt part of the menu. I'ma tell y'all , i have only had it boiled and it's had no taste. They found a way , in a hopeless world to give flavor to something traditionally bland . The secret spice blend that they use needs to be shared . About the cauliflower one last time , In my east oakland ghetto voice " on my momma , that thang is hellllla good " .

Mixt is my go-to salad spot in SF while at work, so imagine the excitement I felt when I found out there was one in my hometown. I walked into the Broadway Mixt and was instantly greeted with a smile. I knew exactly why I was there so ordering was easy. In SF I usually build my own salad which ends up being what they have listed as a Cobb, just with shaved parmesan instead of blue cheese, so that's what I did here too. I love that the salads here are always fresh. Like, you can literally taste the freshness of the lettuce and the ingredients. I also love that they give you the option to have it mixed or just placed for your own mixing - which I usually choose and chose today. I love their Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing too. That's my go-to for my Cobb. I don't know what they put in it, but... it is soooo good. Something else I love is that they don't skip on the ingredients. You get what you pay for (I usually end up playing $15.00). It's a nice size salad and I'm always super full after eating it. I also love their lemonade. Everyone in Broadway was so friendly, quick and helpful. The establishment was clean and I like their covid set up so that you're staying the necessary 6ft part. They do salads right here and I'll definitely be back for more.

This not okay for this price of $13.00 and the cash lady name Sam was rude to when I asked her is this what I get for this price she act as if she was confused about the question I asked... not acceptable and unprofessional... in my opinion I do think it has everything to do with race...

I am not a salad person! But the way Mixt makes a salad we can all be salad people! They have sandwiches and chocolate chip cookies too, but the salads are the star! There are plenty of signature salads to choose from, but the build your own salad option is my favorite. There are so many choices there is literally something to suite any taste. I love their jalapeño cilantro vinaigrette and the grilled chicken with quinoa, lentils, and fresh red peppers, carrots, cucumbers and arugula. Everything is amazingly fresh and healthy. Even if you're not a salad person give them a try!

Ingredients are fresh but last three orders there is always something wrong. I ordered the Harvest salad with crispy chicken and I got a completely different ingredients with the chicken. Almonds instead of pecans. No pomegranate seeds. Bacon instead of the extra beets I asked for. Avocado fennel and moz cheese which isn't part of the recipe. I'm too hungry to return it since I've come home but they really have to start paying attention. The last order I made in October had a piece of plastic in it (the white tape used to close out a plastic bag).

Its okay i guess. Everything taste fresh but lacked flavor and was cooked improperly. Had a taco bowl and everything was fine, except the beans. A lot of beans were hard unfortunately. A crucial mistake, the beans have to he cooked. Also a cobb salad, was very bland. Maybe the chicken is supposed to be cooked with no seasoning, but i promise the cobb salad at Gott's in Walnut Creek is absolutely delicious as they flavor there chicken with asado seasoning. And the bacon tastes like cafeteria bacon.

Sometimes our body craves a sandwich an this day my it was. Before my walk into HomeGoods, I decided to sit down and treat myself to lunch. I walked into MIXT, cute boho comfy clean, open air, nice windows environment, with some cool inviting background music with the white and wood seating. Seating was very fung shui; felt and look clean, and the staff were friendly and attentive to me. I ordered a Fried Chicken sandwich, sat down at a cute back corner table facing every angle; so eating alone felt good. The enegy atmosphere was great! I'll be back!

No way to really track delivery which should be fixed. An option is given to select delivery times but there's no contact information for the restaurant or driver to see when they will exactly deliver the food. Will edit review when food actually arrives as I've been waiting 40+ min so far for my salad.
