I visited this place for the first time on karaoke night on Wednesday of last week. Still can’t shake the amazing singers and artists who did their thing on the mic 🎤!!! The vibe here is 10/10. After hours at Mixx…chileeee it gets even bettaaa 😆 🎊 🪩 🕺🏽

The atmosphere is pretty good. I got them a 4 star because they didn’t have any Diet Coke or Coke Zero and was ruining out of liquor. Also, they charge 5 dollars to get in after a certain time

This bar had a bad oder and the staff are not very friendly. I will not be going back to this place again. Visited 2x and it was the same bad experience. If your employees are not happy and somewhat disrespectful they should be replaced.

Bartender Ron was having his birthday and Toys for Tots fundraiser. The show performers were great. They raised over $800.00. There were lots, and I mean lots of toys were donated. Hats off to Bartender Ron and Mixx.

Visiting from Florida and it’s a total vibe that I keep coming back. Terry is an artist in drink making and whoever cooks is amazing. I recommend the wings in the teriyaki. If you haven’t been yet get there.

Cool crowd. But they were charging $15 with NO REENTRY. I stepped out to my car and they refused to let me back in. Security staff is rude as hell. Drinks overpriced. Hint to the owners: when the line to the Eagle ($5 entry and a stamp) is extending past your doors and your club is largely empty, maybe rethink things. If you let people renter, they'll spend more money at your bar. Duh.

It was my first time going to Mixx because a flyer I saw saying it was free all nite. When I arrived, I was charged $15. I really wanted to see what it was about, so I paid the cover. 1st drink was weak because of the liquor they used. 2nd drink I asked for top shelf, and it was much better. Bartenders were cool. When leaving, I discovered that I had lost my keys in the club. Thankfully, the staff found them but held them ransom until I gave them a finders fee. The only thing I had was $20. So, I was out an extra $35 dollars for nothing. It was my first and last time going here. Yall can have it!!!

Mixx is a cool spot to go out and have a good time. But what a lot of people have yet to discover is their food! Their wings and lemon pepper tenders are so good. And their menu is very inexpensive for the amount of food you get.

Great place to meet black men...no predjudice here all welcome...the black guys are easy to pick up if you rich and white..lol

Whew chyle the ghetto!!!!! I had to bring $20 to my cousin for NYE and I asked the guy that was running the door and he told me that it was ok. Once I brought my cousin to the door, he told me it will cost $15 to return. GHETTO!! U WILL NEVER GET THAT FROM A WHITE ESTABLISHMENT!!!!

Free before 11 and free drink on Saturday night to get it started! Mostly men. Not too many lesbians but cool cute vibe inside and on the outside patio. We came a Saturday night around 10:45. It was still kinda empty tbh. But the free entry and free drink is a great way to start the night so make sure you stop by if you are in the area.

A fairly open floor plan and all of the basic booze selections. The only item that makes this place distinctive is its no smoking policy. Ho-hum, yet another bar for middle-aged white guys. Sigh.

First time at Mixx on a Sunday night, the Sunday before MLK day. One of my good friends asked me to go to Club Mixx with him to meet some more of our friends. I said sure, why not...just know I have to be up at 4:00am for a 7:00am flight home. I wish I didn't have to get up so early. I had a real good time there and the DJ they had there that night was absolutely, truly, ON POINT. I was able to get my life for the 90 minutes that I was there. Club Mixx is a very nice space in a strip mall. When we arrived prior to them opening at 9:00pm, the main parking lot was already packed. (Burkhardt's is in this particular mall too.) We ended up parking in a second lot about a quarter of a block away and walked back. Upon entry you can tell that the space is very clean and kept up nicely. I was truly surprised. What really surprised me is that they do not allow smoking inside the bar (thanks goodness), but rather they have a designated enclosed smoking area. Big props to Mixx for that! The drinks were, in typical Atlanta fashion (at least to me), on point. Didn't take too much to get me a little off kilter. Average price, about $7.00, which isn't too bad. The dance floor is a little small for a club this size though. When we finally left at about 10:30pm, not only was the dance floor extremely crowded, but the main bar area was mobbed, AND there was a line of people a block long (not an exaggeration) waiting to get into the club.

We went there last night. Hadn't been in over a year. $12 cover EACH to enter a complete DUMP!!. There were about 10 tv monitors that didn't work. The floors and walls were filthy and no one gathered empties at all. The bar was barely stocked and NOTHING like the pictures on the google search. In 2 hours I think the DJ mixed and remixed the same song over and over. Main bar had 1 bartender serving. The other one sat back fingering his phone the entire time we were there. Never saw him make one drink for anyone. We used the upper level back bar where mixers were added from cans. Bartender there was good! I think that with a $12 cover they could keep the monitors working and clean the place just a little. What a terrible disappointment and I predict they wont last much longer. Saturday night peak time and there weren't 100 people at one time in the entire place including the patio bar.

Oh, Mixx... Truth be told, I probably wouldn't have even been here if every other gay bar hadn't been closed for Christmas Eve. My friend Kevin was in town for the holiday and we were on our way to Burkhart's when I decided to pop in. We walked in and immediately perched ourselves at the empty bar (there were about six people here including us and the two employees). Surprised really isn't the best description, but I wasn't expecting it to be so nice. It's amazing what a smoking ban will do. Not only are you able to breathe easier, but it helps keep everything clean. Well, cleaner than if the bar were a haze of second hand smoke every night. They have a really large beer selection. I'm not a beer drinker or connoisseur by any means, but I thought it was noteworthy because Kevin was able to order something in Dutch and they had it. Our bartender Errol was cool and made us special peppermint shots to celebrate the season. At the time, I was very appreciative. Regret set in a few hours later when I remembered why I don't do shots.

Thought it was time to update my review, I have started returning to Mixx for evening cocktails and an occasional bite to eat The bar has made some updates Many more videos, and better quality videos better seating in the lounge area great space for happy hour Food quality is very good, great presentation! Great variety of drinks & Martini's !!!! They have a Martini Club, & a frequent drink card The bar has had its ups and downs, but looks like things are heading up Nice to see that they are putting money back into the bar, now that business has picked up. LOVE the nonsmoking. Great place to bring a group to hand out and talk after work. Late Weekend nights (11pm) it is predominately black gay dance spot,

Love this place the Bartenders are amazing Adrian and G are the best... love when DJ Sedric is in town, great relaxation spot after a long day or week.

I went to check out Mixx with some friends a few weeks ago. I'm giving it a middle of the road rating because while this is not a bar I would or will typically go to, it serves a purpose; and that purpose is dance club. The bartenders were very nice and the drinks were reasonably priced. I thought the space was layed out a little strange. I love that it's non-smoking. Mixx seems like a good bar to go dance at, but I would rather go to Burkharts or Felix's if I'm over by Ansley.

Very nice little spot. I have not been in this place in many many years, but I am very pleasantly surprised. It looks nice! They have a smallish dance floor, and a large enclosed smoking patio. It's very simple. From what I was just told, they are about to renovate and open up the walls. It'll be an upstairs/downstairs garden design just off the dance floor. They currently have a fireplace and large TeeVee outside the back. I look forward to seeing what they do! Adrian will take most fabulous care of you at the main bar!

This place is just "UH"...it's gets three stars becasue the company was 5 star quality. Great catching up with you Tim!

Are you ready for some STRONG DRINKS and Great Music!? Yeah.. MIXX is the place just for you! I will not say that it's my favorite but when all else fails and I need to go somewhere and dance then this would be my go-to. Not a great pick for the younger crowd as there are.. let's see more mature gentlemen if I may say that come here. Some people like it and some don't I don't mind it. The staff here is really nice and the bartenders are great! I can honestly say that the DJ has to be one of the best because there is never a song that I don't know or one that I can't ever dance to!

Refreshing & upscale new nonsmoking bar for Atlanta! We have always had a great time here. Being a nonsmoker this was a welcome relief for me. Having a nice outside Patio my partner can still smoke if so desired. On Thursdays evenings Mixx started a weekly social which is a wonderful opportunity to make new friends and meet with old ones. In today's economy this is wonderful opportunity to "Network" if your looking for a job, etc. The owners have really notched it up with the surroundings in the bar with granite counters and warm welcoming colors. For those who like to dance Mixx offers an awesome DJ after 10pm and on with no cover! This is an asset to the gay lifestyle in Atlanta! Check it out.

Great neighborhood place. They are expanding so there is some construction going on. They will have a terrace soon and walk-up service from the Atlanta Beltline, I can't wait. This will be an Atlanta favorite soon!

This is a awesome place to relax, reminisce old videos, or watch a sporting event. Ron is the best as he is fast, friendly, and not to bad to look at either. Oh and it is a NON SMOKING venue as well and the food is rather tasty to. ;@)

Mixx has quickly become one of my favorite hangouts in Atlanta. The bartenders are extremely friendly, the drinks are strong, the crowd is almost always fun, and- best of all- NO SMOKING! I don't smell like an ashtray when I leave. I'm also a big fan of Monday and Thursday nights. Mondays are piano bar sing-along and Thursdays are karaoke. The bar itself is open and immaculately clean. If you haven't been recently, I would definitely check it out.

I didn't expect to like Mixx but I enjoyed myself. We've now been a few Friday evenings (early, we're old). It reminds me of an old-school bar with live music, good drinks, and friendly service. Non-smoking which is a huge plus.

Great location. Great DJ on Saturday nights. Bar staff is a lot of fun and the place is very clean and very nice. It's not like most Atlanta gay bars.

I don't normally review bars, but I had to review Mixx. It opened with great promise and great fanfare. A new NONSMOKING bar/club in Atlanta that was going to provide a fresh new alternative to the bar/dance club scene in Atlanta. What started off with great promise, has faded into just another bar located in a crowed Ansley shopping center, with three other bars. The bar decor looks nice. However, the crowd does not. It quickly turned into a daddy bar, and the dance club part of it is non-existent. I don't know whether the owners ran out of money to bring in major djs or what happened, but now I can't tell Mixx apart from any of the other tired bars in the local scene. How unfortunate!

i went on a friday night and all i saw here was nothing but black guys. I'd say 99 percent of everyone here were black males. The music was nice and bartenders were ok. I thought it was funny how the website says it is upscale with a mix of people from all races so not true on a friday. I dont know if saturday is any different it might be the same so if you like black guys and hip hop music the this is the place for you

Sterile and no one was there. Not posh as advertised and the service was awful. If this is Atlantas premire video bar then Atlanta has real problems. Save your time.

no smoking allowed here !!!! the bar is usually not very crowded, but it is fun, the folks are friendly, good bartenders , nice space -- there is also a very nice outside patio for the smokers - I wish smoking was not allowed in any bars/restaurants in atlanta --

Was in Atlanta for Labor Day Week, we were looking for something poppin'. One friend suggested Mixx and I am glad he did! The dance floor although small, was great with boom-boom music and plenty of hot men. I was really impressed by the bathrooms which were spectacular in design and style and spotlessly clean! Drinks were good and experience was a definite plus for me & my hubby's visit. Went back on Monday, Labor Day to enjoy bar-b-que and final visit with Atlanta friends before heading back home; noticed the crowd had definitely changed from Saturday night. The mostly older, kind of snobish crowd didn't impress me at all. The fact that one of the owners actually took a few moments to welcome us and talk to us saved this place from a negative rating of 1 or 2 stars. Will be back to Atlanta soon for search for relocation housing and once we move there I will definitely be a regular on the weekends and possibly the weekdays.
