Hôtel Paradiso (Paris, Île-de-France) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Film production house, distributor, and theater chain MK2 has expanded into hospitality with Hotel Paradiso, and if it’s possible for a hotel to be more thoroughly dedicated to cinema, we can’t imagine how — each of its 36 rooms comes with a projector, screen, and cinema-quality sound system, plus access to some 10,000 films. It’s an homage to the world of global cinema, and pays a tribute to Hollywood that’s more devoted than anything you’ll find in Hollywood itself, making good on its contention that Paris is the true world capital of film." - Tablet Hotels

We had a lot of fun here. On our down time my wife and I are complete pigs. We like nothing more than to curl up in bed, throw out all our healthy cooking in favour of a mountain of junk food and cue up a gripping film or series. And for this the hotel comprehensively delivers. From the moment you open the room door it is clear that everything is dedicated to one thing: total bingeing pleasure. Like all hotels there is a desk/work area, a seating area and a bed area but in this case they are all aimed at the screen shotgun style. A nice detail: where the screen will be a giant single pane window provides an excellent roof top view. When you do put down the screen it is literally the width of the entire room. Red curtains frame the screen cinema style, a selection of our favourite junk food was already present but an extensive and swiftly delivered room service menu provided additional cosiness (ranging from the healthy to the diabetic). The only glitsch was we found the tablette interface provided to be a little clunky so switched to our own iPad and streaming selection which was easy to link to the projector. We'll definitely return.

Excellent film lover hotel. Small bath is a great concept. Every room is a mini cinema with a big screen, a projector, and lots of films to choose from the iPad. . The bed, the room and bathroom is also very comfortable and made to look a bit like the 60s cinema rooms. However, his old comforts of the 21st-century and very modern. I would definitely recommend this hotel for the cinematic experience but also if you visit Paris because it’s just two minutes from the metro line 1 which links to the main sights of Paris.

The family room size is decent with sufficient space for luggages. Each room has its own beamer and Netflix & Amazon Prime streaming service. The hotel location for families as the nearby metro station can be used as the main city transportation - Metro line no. 1. The window in room no. 44 facing the street could not be shut completely due to a broken handle on the right side. The nights were therefore not as quiet as expected.

American traveling through France, chose MK2 Hotel Paradiso through a family recommendation as an avid film lover. Cannot recommend enough. The venue is in a quiet and nice district of Paris and the Metro station is less than a 5min walk. I stayed in the Suite Cinema, which was an excellent room with tons of space, an amazing view, and the living room conversion to home theater was great. (The Projector is top tier.) The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and the hotel offers tons of different amenities for cinephiles and people who enjoy movies. Absolute recommend 10/10

Overall, the hotel is very comfortable — great location, comfortable beds, eco-friendly policies, and a beautiful rooftop with stunning sunset views. However, my experience was badly overshadowed by one issue: the deposits (€150 for Room 43 and €100 for Room 45) have still not been refunded Despite some shortcomings in the staff’s service, I would still recommend this hotel as a good option. PS The idea of watching movies in the room on a big screen is simply magical!

We had an amazing stay at Hotel Paridiso. The room was great and had a very comfy bed. The location is perfect as it is very close to the metro so easy to get anywhere in Paris but also close to nice restaurants in the area. The rooftop patio is an added bonus and was the perfect place to end the day exploring Paris.

I was really looking forward to our visit (it being the last place we stayed on our way back to London the next morning). Our checkin was great though entering the establishment was a bit confusing. I wasn’t expecting a cafe to be the first thing I saw. However, the guy that checked us in was kind & very hospitable. We found the tablet in our room challenging at times but when it worked, the sound and picture quality was great.|We had a room with a balcony but were unable to use it because it was infested with ants. As soon as the door was opened, they would enter quickly! |The bedding was decent. The flow of the room we had was a bit awkward but tolerable. ||Upon our checkout, there was a much older gentleman handling the process & he was curt & rude in my opinion. I guess he wasn’t happy that we couldn’t speak French. Unfortunately, there was a marathon going on while we were trying to catch an uber to the train station. At first he was communicating with us in English but all of a sudden, he begin speaking in French only. Thankful that another person (lady) came over to interact with us. Because of his demeanor, I wouldn’t recommend anyone to this establishment if he still works here! He was the worse!!!!

Loved it, great personable and unpretentious service from all the staff. Friendly, helpful, kept our bags for us when the room wasn't ready because we came early. Had recommendations for us too. Lots of local french travelers. Rooms were decently sized for Paris, amazing light from the big window, and fun projector to watch movies with. 3 min walk to Nation station, which is a very central station that a lot of lines intersect with.
