The Best New Hotels in Paris that Opened in 2021 - AFAR

"A cinephile’s dream attached to an art-house movie theater, this film-themed hotel has 36 rooms each outfitted with a remote-controlled projector screen and access to hundreds of films (with Twizzlers and salty/sweet popcorn provided). Many rooms face either the street or an interior courtyard featuring a giant Charlie Chaplin mural by JR, and the property includes a rooftop bar that hosts open-air screenings in summer. Located near the Nation metro hub, it’s well placed for exploring the Marché d'Aligre and the Coulée Verte." - Sara Lieberman

Overall, the hotel is very comfortable — great location, comfortable beds, eco-friendly policies, and a beautiful rooftop with stunning sunset views. However, my experience was badly overshadowed by one issue: the deposits (€150 for Room 43 and €100 for Room 45) have still not been refunded Despite some shortcomings in the staff’s service, I would still recommend this hotel as a good option. PS The idea of watching movies in the room on a big screen is simply magical!

We had an amazing stay at Hotel Paridiso. The room was great and had a very comfy bed. The location is perfect as it is very close to the metro so easy to get anywhere in Paris but also close to nice restaurants in the area. The rooftop patio is an added bonus and was the perfect place to end the day exploring Paris.

I was really looking forward to our visit (it being the last place we stayed on our way back to London the next morning). Our checkin was great though entering the establishment was a bit confusing. I wasn’t expecting a cafe to be the first thing I saw. However, the guy that checked us in was kind & very hospitable. We found the tablet in our room challenging at times but when it worked, the sound and picture quality was great.|We had a room with a balcony but were unable to use it because it was infested with ants. As soon as the door was opened, they would enter quickly! |The bedding was decent. The flow of the room we had was a bit awkward but tolerable. ||Upon our checkout, there was a much older gentleman handling the process & he was curt & rude in my opinion. I guess he wasn’t happy that we couldn’t speak French. Unfortunately, there was a marathon going on while we were trying to catch an uber to the train station. At first he was communicating with us in English but all of a sudden, he begin speaking in French only. Thankful that another person (lady) came over to interact with us. Because of his demeanor, I wouldn’t recommend anyone to this establishment if he still works here! He was the worse!!!!

Loved it, great personable and unpretentious service from all the staff. Friendly, helpful, kept our bags for us when the room wasn't ready because we came early. Had recommendations for us too. Lots of local french travelers. Rooms were decently sized for Paris, amazing light from the big window, and fun projector to watch movies with. 3 min walk to Nation station, which is a very central station that a lot of lines intersect with.

For movie buffs that is obviously the place to be. We had a great experience in the grande suite cinema which provided everything we wished for and even more . It was a real treat to watch from our huge and comfortable bed movies that were still being played at the theatre next door. Breakfast was delicious ; the staff turned out to be helpful and friendly. And I must say that even my lack of knowledge in new technologies didn’t prevent me from enjoying the laptop that monitors not only the screen and the curtains but also the lights. I will be back !

My husband and I enjoyed our 3 night stay in this very spacious modern and unique room. It is located in a great neighbourhood close to well connected metro stops. The free breakfast includes only continental on the menu. This inclusion is delicious. Other items on the breakfast menu come at a cost. The unique style of the hotel and their rooms is an absolute plus. We loved the large movie projector which we used each night on our return from a busy day sightseeing. The rooftop is also a lovely addition. With distant views of the Eiffel tower and nearby classic Parisian rooftops, a great space to enjoy wine and soak in the atmosphere. The hotel service staff were friendly and accommodating. The only aspect for improvement would be to include a bar fridge so guests have the option to place a white wine in their if they choose or cold drinks. We would recommend it.

We had a great stay! The room was very nice, comfortable bed, roomy shower, cute little balcony. We were very impressed by the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. Eugenia was super helpful checking us in and sharing some useful travel information. Angelique at the front desk was very attentive and answered all our questions, and adorable barista Iris made for us delicious breakfast. We definitely recommend this hotel.

Loved this hotel: great value for money with modern rooms that are compact yet don’t feel crammed (I had a room with a small terrace facing the boulevard). The beds are comfy and having room service included when you chose a package with breakfast was a nice bonus. The hotel is in a great location and it’s in the same building as a cinema with the cinema vibe reflected in the design and clearly the highlight is the video projector that allows watching films and tv on a large movie screen.|The hotel also has a small rooftop terasse featuring beautiful views of Paris (including the Eiffel tower in the distance).|Only minus for me was the lack of body lotion and conditioner in the rooms (room only had a mixed body-hair washer type product..)|I would be happy to come back next time I’m in town!
